I downloaded it over the weekend after buying a small parcel of shares. I wanted to check the service out myself as I am a big consumer of VOIP based services. World Phone provided 10 mins of free calls, and I used up 2.5 mins of it. In that 2.5 minutes, it convinced me to buy more today. My review of the call?

- Crystal clear, like me dialing directly using a Telstra line. Much better than Skype and other VOIP apps as there was zero lag.
- The in app purchase model is brilliant. It makes it convenient to top up.
- Pricing is still somewhat high, but I believe their target market is the corporate area which currently pays premium rates for roaming. At 69.99 per month unlimited, it's peanuts for travelling execs as long as their service is 99.9% reliable.

I've also just been informed roaming charges in China and Chinese travellers going out is EXTREMELY expensive. If World Phone can tap into the Chinese market via Android, and who knows, get in bed with a company like Huawei or Xiaomi, then sky's the limit.

With regard to the cash raising and likely dumping on the 25th Nov. I believe there are several thing to take into account. Firstly the CR opened and closed heavily over subscribed after only two hours. According to one that subscribed he was only allocated 20% of his application. Many small caps struggle to place $2M over several days, so this shows the markets believe and acceptance of product and staff.

As with many original shareholders who got in between 2c and 5c there may be some sophisticates who may offload all and there may be some who may offload some, but I would imagine a very large percentage will remain firm in the hands of the sophisticates.

There is a lot of events over the next two weeks which will strengthen and rapidly grow this company, the timely release of this news will no doubt have a very positive reaction on the share price.

IMO Fridays action from the bot was designed to flush out week hands left over from Thursdays fear selling, this proved fruitless and whoever was doing it finally had to buy in at 11.5c and 12c.
IMO today well see a very strong strengthening of the SP with a probable closing price between 14c and 16c. I believe that by the 30th with what is happening the Sp will have probably reached 20c. Something that would definitely strengthen this probability would be another partner like Bookings.com or some additional clients in Corona.

Because it's appears to be growing fast and B to B potential force good class service would get good business support. 4 million users could be used to cross sell other services such as ACU ASX is attempting to do could be copied imo by Norwood too. Lots of possibilities despite lots of competitors but some like Skype, viber are just not that good nor are the socio-economic groups using them. Norwood will have better socio-economic groups to cross sell over time. Just my opinion obviously.

Leishd, to put the growth into perspective the cumulative figure has risen from just over US$80,000 to about US$118,000 in 13days from 3rd Nov to 16th Nov. This equates to a daily amount of Aust$3,821 or an annualised figure of Aus$1.4M. I would think even you would be able to see the exponential growth at such an early stage NOR has the potential to achieve. IMO even without Corona or Bookings.com income this company has the potential of being very profitable within 12 Months of listing back in June 2015.

If the market depth is high at the start of trade tomorrow the news is on.. (remember someone will have seen the AGM Agenda and leak like a sieve I would think).. if no great market depth then I think a sideways quiet day (if no late arvo ann to coincide with meeting)..

That all said 6% increase today is more than double a fixed term investment at a bank for a whole year!!

100 % correct people will pay for quality. I'm Irish and have lived in Australia for 8 years now. To call my family and friends back home I've had the option of Skype (tried it once and never again as i ended up calling on my mobile while looking at them on skype with the sound turned down) for a number of years. Later came Viber and again i used it one evening and never again. First i couldn't hear them. Then they couldn't hear me and finally we could hear each other but it was such poor quality i deleted the app and never bothered with another app since then. I am happy to use my normal mobile phone and pay whatever it cost to have high quality conversations. World Phone is an absolute blessing for me and people like me. I have friends who use skype, viber etc. and love it but i seriously don't have the patience for the drop outs, voice delays, cut offs, repeating yourself constantly etc. With World Phone all i need is my Irish number and my Mum can call me at local rate and vise versa with excellent quality. There are lots of people out there who will happily pay for quality. I do it now.

Ehrlich gesagt bin ich auch erst heute eingestiegen, hab schon lange genug Norwood von der Seitenlinie beobachtet.

Aktuell wird der Kurs von iOS Downloads zahlen getrieben und klar etwas vom Android Start.
Aber wenn man bedenkt wie viele Android Systeme Weltweit es gibt , werden sich die Downloadzahlen x4 oder x6 steigen. Was wiederum Kurs noch mehr beflügeln wird

Klar ist es bzgl des Verlaufs schon eine etwas heißere Geschichte. Mit Sicherheit werden hier bald einige Gewinnmitnahmen sehen was auch völlig legitim ist.
Allerdings ist ja gerade bei solchen IT Geschichten ein enormes Potential da. Die Downloadzahlen sehen gut aus und der Androidlunch steht direkt vor der Tür. Die Userzahlen könnten gen Himmel schiessen, wenn man bedenkt wie viele Menschen Android nutzen.Die Bewertung gerade bei Apps findet ja meistens aanhand der Userzahlen statt. Jeder User wird mit Summe x bewertet.
Ich denke hier steht ein weiterer Run an. Alles nur m.M.

Glaube nicht, dass es sinnvoll ist bei derart niedrigen Bewertungen auf die prozentualen Zugewinne zu schauen. Wenn's etwa von 0,01 auf auf 0,02 steigt sind's ja schon 100%. Das hat aber keine Aussagekraft, finde ich.

Bei großen Kursgewinne traut man sich oft nicht einzusteigen, weil es ja viel teurer geworden ist. Geht mir leider fast immer so. Der Service und die Prozesse scheinen doch sehr vielen Schwierigkeiten zu bereiten.
Auf jeden Fall sind ungefähr die Hälfte der Kommentare sehr negativ was das Rating anbelangt.
Durch die Corona Erfahrungen scheinen sie ihre Qualität aber wohl ziemlich gut im Griff zu haben.

In terms of waiting for approval for updates, yes, Android is quicker but fixing bugs on Android takes longer generally. I am copy and pasting an answer I gave elsewhere on this...

"Android is weird for apps. With iOS the developer just needs to make sure it works on iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6S etc.

With Android there are 3 or 4 operating systems that operate over Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Acer, Siemens etc. There are currently over 100 handset brands carrying Android. Another 30 or so operate just in China. Each has 5 or 6 handset types. So just on that alone there are thousands of variations and it often takes a lot of time and money to iron out all the bugs.

Reisen und World app, it dovetails nicely

I monitor daily. With NOR, the daily updates on here via posters checking on World Phone, on a global basis, tells a very telling tale. That tale is, imo, that NOR's World Phone has taken off across the globe - and that is without the languages feature and in ios only.

This has a long way to go, imo. We have Android release on Monday. Languages release soon, once Apple approves. Christmas = travelling globally. New Year = travelling globally. January is school holidays in the English speaking Western Industrialised countries which = more travel. I know for a fact, lots of UK people go overseas at this time of the year. Sometime after this, is Chinese New Year which might give another boost.
I live in Cairns and I can tell you, the fall in the Aussie dollar and the rise of the new middle classes in China = lots of Chinese visiting Australia.
We already know World Phone is doing very well in India (1.2 Billion people); in China (1.3 Billion people) and in the Western Industrialised, English speaking Nations (The USA, the UK, Canada et.al.).

NOR officially launched its World Phone app on the Android operating system today. Feedback from Google’s Play Store suggests the app has been downloaded > 100,000 times already.

Investment Thesis:

NOR’s World Phone app for smart phones and the corporate solution CORONA provide a very compelling alternative to low quality Skype calls and more expensive international mobile roaming. Users can buy mobile call minutes in-app as well as purchase a local telephone number when overseas, allowing them to call “as a local” at landline quality. World Phone eliminates the need for travelers to swap sim cards or carry multiple phones, while CORONA can substantially lower corporate mobile communication costs.
NOR launched the iOS version of its World Phone app at the end of July. It subsequently took one week to reach 25,000 downloads and three weeks to reach 50,000 downloads. After five weeks, the iOS downloads of World Phone reached 150,000.
Overall in Apple’s App Store, World Phone has been the highest grossing Travel app in 97 countries at some point since launch (see chart), including high population countries such as India, while the app has been ranking high in other high population countries, such as China and Indonesia.

Today, NOR officially launched the Android version of World Phone with some preliminary trialling and downloads before the weekend. Going by Google Play Store information, the download number has exceeded 100,000 already on the day of launch (downloads in range of 100,000 to 500,000 bracket).

In other words, if Google’s data is accurate this suggests a very high rate of downloads for the Android version of World Phone on day one, i.e. an adoption rate that is substantially faster than for iOS. While we were anticipated a fast uptake of World Phone on the Android platform, given popularity of the app in countries such as China, India and in the Middle East where Android has an approximate 80% OS market share, these download numbers are clearly higher than we were expecting.
This download rate should accelerate NOR’s ability to monetise on World Phone through in-app purchases of call minutes and bundles.
In our view, NOR has the potential to seriously disrupt the international mobile roaming market and should see its valuation expand accordingly as this potential becomes more obvious to the broader/global investment community.

Doji

Der "Doji" ist eine Formation der Charttechnik bei Kerzencharts. Er entsteht, wenn der Kurs im Handelsverlauf unentschlossen nach oben und unten pendelt, um letztendlich in der Nähe des Eröffnungskurses zu schließen. Es entsteht eine Kerze mit einem ganz kleinen Körper und einem oberen und unteren Schatten. Daraus ergeben sich folgende Erkenntnisse:

1. Die Marktteilnehmer sind unsicher, sie haben keine klare Meinung über die weitere Richtung des Kurses.

2. Der höchste Kurs des Tages bildet einen Widerstand, der niedrigste Kurs eine Unterstützung. Wird eine dieser beiden Marken auf Schlußkursbasis unter- oder überschritten, sollte sich die Kursbewegung in die jeweilige Richtung für einige Tage weiter fortsetzen.

Was darf auf gar keinen Fall vergessen werden? Richtig, Weihnachten...da werden die Downloads über dem Durchschnitt steigen...Donnerstag die neuesten Zahlen von Norwood und...die MIO bei Android wird am WE geknackt...die KE ist durch

aktueller Wert pro User von 28€ wohl eher weit unten angesetzt

The following Spread sheet is MY interpretation of the potential cash flow from December onward. I make no claim as to the accuracy and welcome any suggestions or questions as well as tearing it apart. As an accountant I have tried to be objective and conservative.

The download total is based on a monthly increase of 2M downloads.
The revenue is monthly based on annualised revenue of $1.25M per million downloads (currently $1.39M). No revenue has not been included for the month of download.

The download cost I have put at 75 cents is expended in the month of acquisition for cash flow purpose only, I am not sure whether all or some may have to be capitalised, if so any amount thus capitilised would increase profit.
The cash in hand includes yet to be ratified SPP as well as a balance left over from Septembers $3M.

Whatsapp hat keine Einnahmen in dem Sinne und wurden mit 50$ pro User bei der Übernahme bewertet.

Die Aussis sind sowas von konservative old economy...falls NOR mal an der Nasdaq notiert...sehen wir da locker 100$ pro User.

Mit viel Hype versuchten Zocker Norwood Systems (in Australien: NOR) nochmals kurz hochzujubeln was zum Teil auch vorrübergehend gelungen ist. Doch die Rally ist vorbei, denn deren Produkt hat in der heutigen Zeit keine wirkliche Zukunft auf globaler Ebene. Es gibt FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, MagicJack, usw. und da scheint das Norwood Produkt grossteils hinfällig zu sein. Auch die App User sind bei Firmen dieser Art in der Bewertung kaum etwas wert. Gegen Jahresende schlitterte der Kurs ziemlich nach unten ab. Norwood ist unserer Meinung nach ein Short, ausser das Unternehmen schafft es "revolutionäre" Innovationen in deren Angebot zu integrieren.

Feedback from the company suggests that they were happy with the download stats and revenue results as announced yesterday.

However,they are  a little disappointed with the progress of Corona,although they did say that modifications being made are in near or mid term conclusion.

The market ,I believe is confused,partly due to global market sentiment for all risk averse assets,speculators looking for quick profits and high expectations for the WP app.,including revenue.

Nor has always been highly volatile,since it listed,from 2c to 3.6c ,back to 1.9c,then to 16.5c,back to 5.7c,up to 11c and now back to 7.8c.

Tony Indo posted a comment yesterday saying that only 25% of recent holders  will be around in 12 months time,when highlighting  the fact that Nor has been around only a very short time.

This is the key point here,Nor has come a long way in a very short time,there is a long road ahead.

Hopefully,this post will be an impetus for a more objective look at the company,some detailed revenue projections,continued app annie stats,shareholders asking questions of the company.

I am going to reflect,over the weekend, on what has happened with Nor since July 2015.

Like any business it has hurdles to overcome,but it does have some world class technology which is proven on the global stage

Is it a buy at 7.8c ,we will have to wait for the market to tell us that and no doubt the chartists will be giving their opinions.

One thing that you can be sure of ,I will be around Nor in 12 months time !

the 'unbanked 'is a massive potential market. Philippines alone has a population of over 103 Million .....but if you think about the same model expanded into India, with 1.25 Billion population and 500 Million Mobile phone subscribers, the potential becomes more obvious.

Currently, if you are 'unbanked ' in say, the Philippines and, for the sake of argument, the Aussie boyfriend sends you money through Western Union (a common practice) which you then have to physically collect from the nearest Western Union agent, who may be an hour or more from your location. To get there probably means a big hassle, as you will not have a car and will probably have to travel by bus. Meanwhile, the Aussie boyfriend has been charged 5 per cent (as far as I remember), or $5.00 for every Aud 100 dollars sent via the WU system.

With World Credit, those hassles will disappear. the 'unbanked 'get the money arriving as credit on their World Phone app, almost instantly. World Phone and Peppermint could charge, as an example, 2.5 per cent. May not sound much but if you had say, 1 million Filipinos getting money through World Phone app / Peppermint, it would be a nice little earner. A system easily expanded to many millions more, I would imagine.

I did check on App Annie 'finance 'category this morning, on Philippines - to see if I could find anything that looked like Peppermint Innovation - but nothing obvious stood out. Did see several large Philippine Banks and the four Aussie major banks mobile apps.

Also found one called 'Worldremit 'that got my heart racing for a couple of minutes but when I researched this company, it was a UK based business started in 2011, for exactly the same reasons I just mentioned above. They use the same blue as World Phone, plus a nice green and.....they do say potential partners should contact them. For a few seconds I was dreaming of a tieup - World Phone uses 'Worldremit ' on a global scale. Worked for me as a thought bubble!!

Gewaltiges Potenzial in der dritten Welt bei jenen, die kein Bankkonto haben.
NOR ist eben keine kurzfristig gepushte Mistaktie sondern ein longterm Play, wenn die Roadmap des Managements umgesetzt wird.

I'm not sure how many times this has to be explained until it sinks in but I'll have another go. Free app - app = many more downloads and users = more partnerships like booking.com= revenue. More users combined with the 2 extra apps like data and text purchased through world credit= more revenue. More downloads for free app to app = more people using WP not just to call app - app= revenue. It's all about the numbers of users. Someone will ask again next week I suppose. On top of that we have all the crowd banging on about whatsapp being free to use. So what is the market value of whatsapp then? Wasn't it valued at billions?! sheesh.

Wenn man die Grossings beobachtet, ist eines klar ersichtlich...sie bleiben konstant.
Wenn man die Downloads beobachtet, sind sie um 50% gefallen...im Verglich zu Anfang Dezember...

78 Länder unter den TOP 1000 mit einem durchschnittlichen Ranking von # 36,97

Google Play Grossing - Rankings am 11.02.:
79 Länder unter den TOP 1000 mit einem durchschnittlichen Ranking von # 29,88

Bedeutet die Rankings sind um 23,7% gestiegen bei Android
was wiederum bedeutet, daß die Einnahmen in Summe um 46% gestiegen sind, da Google Play derzeit doppelt soviele Downloads hat als IOS, also
einen Hebel von 2...

Das bedeutet laut Announcement vom 05. Januar, dass die Einnahmen pro was Tag von
3600$ auf ca. 5200$ gestiegen sind...

Ich habe mal 6 Nationen genommen, von denen ich der Meinung bin, dass Sie für Norwood wichtig wären/sind. (Australien, Kanada, China, Deutschland, UK, USA). Da das ganze ja möglichst aktuell sein soll, habe ich auch gleich den Zeitraum eingeschränkt.

Man sieht also dass World Phone ziemlich weit oben in den Rankings ist. Das wiederum bedeutet, dass World Phone genutzt wird.

Hier musste man gestaffelt einsteigen. Norwood ist fundamental überlebensfähig und fair bewertet mittlerweile und laut heutiger Aussage vom CEO ist auch keine KE mehr notwendig.

Solche Situationen gibt es selten - bei den meisten Start-ups ist ja das Geschäftsmodell stetige Dilution mit Pushernetzwerken, die das laufend "finanzieren".

We have two key initiatives and that is to broaden our voice service offering towards our deal with messaging and data. Even my kids, when they ask when are you doing data, you start getting the sense that it’s almost becoming like water. Everyone needs Wi-Fi access.

And so we’ve not entered these markets lightly, we have good reasons for building both of these products. Because we actually, in the same way that we have fundamentally improved the reliability of Voiceover IP with our voice offering, we are delivering two keen new innovations, both on the messaging and also the data access side.

We’re releasing more details about those in early Q2. We’re in the middle of filing a bunch of patents about them, about the core concepts. And we expect probably release dates in the range of late Q2/Q3 for availability, for the public use of those. And that will round out our proposition, so that we then have a voice messaging and data multi service portfolio, which spans everything from individual consumers, all the way through to very large corporations.

And that fits back into our strategic focus of moving the company, from not just servicing multinationals and consumers, but also spanning everything in between.

So we actually are targeting a very broad range of businesses, with a CORONA proposition. So we’ve just launched two new services called CORONA Cloud and CORONA Gts. And they’re physically being made available to customers in March and in April respectively. And we’re looking forward to customers adopting those.

I sent an email today asking about a summarised timeline for Nor"s plans and some feedback from the Barcelona trip.

Here is the reply:

Paul only got back from the trip on the weekend (was a round the world economy trip, went on from Barcelona for more business)

Give them a little bit to get their head straight from that – needless to say the strategy outlined to the market only 1 month ago hasn’t changed. I think there is probably more than 10 points in there already everyone can look at!

One feedback from Barcelona is that the trend already announced of mobile operators being interested in Norwood’s products continues - this is covered in slide 12 & 14 of the preso as well as from about 8m 20s of this presentation -http://www.finnewsnetwork.com.au/Presentations/CEO_Sessions_…

The mobile operators want something like World Phone, or other what are called “over the top apps” – because if the mobile operators don’t have something like World Phone to offer their users for long distance calling & roaming, their users will go use whatsapp etc and cut their lunch anyway. How many of the negative individuals have actually attended all forums and meeting for Norwood? I have attended all but one, although I was represented in the one I missed. I have questioned the CEO P.O with my entensive knowledge of engineering and technology. I was incredibly inpressed by P.O, the products and NOR. Fundamentally the company is strong and the number of products filling the shelves is impressive. No other competitors are proving to be as agile as NOR in this space. S.P is underweight and dictated by poor market sentiment, and lack of understanding of the tech. The true value of the company has not been realised yet. Suspension is trival matter in the scheme of NORs growth.

Another P&D today on an announcement which didn't really tell us much other than what we already knew.

Not surprising, those diligent enough to read & understand the current financials whilst trying to understand the potential value of this company (i.e. now and in the foreseeable future) would realise that there is a massive disconnect between current revenue growth (STILL less than $500,000 generated in 8 months) and an increase in financial losses (almost $10 million last half).

Even if revenue were to double or triple in the next 4 months, then that still constitutes a disaster for investors IMHO. Why? Because the numbers STILL don't add up.

So where does this leave investors?

In the short term, straight down the garden path of another CR unfortunately.

Neatly spaced (approximately 5 months apart), if history is any guide the next one is due.....wait for it...NEXT MONTH.

What do you think the price will be?

8c? lol although I genuinely do feel for those believers that thought that the offering was cheap back in November, now they are almost 40% down on their investment if they continued to hold.

So let's half that and I'd suggest that we're somewhere in the ballpark for the next CR.

After that, the pigs will probably need to revisit the trough again later in the year until shareholders are eventually diluted to kingdom come. Why? Because revenue growth just isn't anywhere near fast enough to balance the books in the foreseeable future.

My brother who lives in the USA called me earlier today on my mobile using Skype. I initially didn't know who was calling because it came through as Unknown caller id. We spoke for about 20 minutes and then the call dropped out. So I decided to call him back on his USA mobile using world phone.

He told me I came up as me when he answered (i.e world phone must send caller id). Call quality was high and we spoke for another 45 minutes. Cost in world credit was extremely cheap.

For me this experience reinforced the quality of the product and this could be a real winner if it can gain further traction and awareness in the market place.

It cost $1.38 for 42 minutes. Not bad.

I was still using up previous "minutes based" bonus credit (pre world credit) when I started the call so it didn't give me the call cost beforehand, however when you call you can see you total credit gradually reducing by the cent as the call proceeds and the app gives you the option to purchase more while you are calling - you can buy more mid call without interrupting your call. Not that I really needed to because the cost was pretty minimal.

Wenn bei uns die Reisezeit beginnt ist World Phone sicher ebenfalls als interessant.
Vor allem, wenn auch bei Android free WP2WP kommt!

My thoughts on the show FWIW.
Delays- PO is, as he said, editor and chief. He has the last say on signing anything off. End user experience is paramount so if it's not visually and practically spot on he will knock it back. If this means delays , tough.
Pricing- They admit that at first they got this wrong. Good companies will acknowledge this and fix it, which they have done with world credit and Global dynamic pricing. Interesting how PO described some of their research on GDP they can see when a customer starts to dial an international number the price will show per minute will automatically appear. If this WP user hangs up before complteting the dialing they can maybe assume that this price may be too dear and they can make adjustments. If the WP user continues with the call then they may assume the pricing is right.

World credit is going gangbusters. And this is just for voice. No data or message yet. Check map. Interestingly , Europe is featuring heavily. I think that has even surprised them.
We have "world credit". Watch out for something called "business credit" with corona cloud.
World credit is helping the long distance market.
They have a dozen telcos in the pipeline. The telcos phone them, they don't contact the telcos. If things progress past a MOU this could take 4 weeks, could take as long as 12 to sign off.
More big names joining the team in new positions shortly.
Corona will be out in "a week or two". Refer to my first point if you don't understand that.
Data and Message more information not until mid May, but, patents lodged for both. Message, these are PO's words not mine but he said they will have something to take on Whatsapp! He gave the impression they had something a lot better.

Data- 50 million hotspots globally. One password and user name for the lot. Very excited by this.
Not enough data available for GDP yet so no comment from them except that.

Haters, don't knock this post, I am relaying what I heard today. Melbourne and Sydney party goers will confirm more than the above I am sure. IMO, DYOR anyway.

Interessant zu beobachten, daß es geringere Downloadrankings gibt, jedoch steigende Grossingrankings - bedeutet World Phone generiert steigende Userzahlen. Ja, ich hab dazu eine Meinung und die habe ich hier schon mal in freundlicher Form zwischen den Zeilen gesagt.

Kein Mensch zahlt für einen Dienst wenn man mittlerweile Text- und Sprachnachrichten umsonst verschicken kann.

Und das gepushe von Leuten, die investiert sind oder sogar dafür bezahlt werden andere anzustacheln und ihr Geld reinzustecken finde ich bedenklich.

Die Aktie kennt bis jetzt nur eine Richtung. Klar kann man sein Geld hier reinstecken und die Aktie kann nach oben drehen.
Genauso kann man im Casino auch auf Rot setzen und richtig liegen.

ich habe sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht mit stockchat.de haben auch sehr viele user hinzugewonnen die letzten Monate sehe ich da manchmal über 100 user

habe mit Norcom, Scholz (500 %) German pellets, Paion, Epigenomics ... etc. pp sehr sehr gute Gewinne eingefahren nach guten Tipps dort

zudem hat er niemand in die Aktie reingetrieben nmM aber er ist glaube ich schon etwas zu verliebt in die Aktie

zu GoPro die hat er mehrmals bei ca. 10 Euro erwähnt OK - 8 % aber es wird nicht gepusht wie auf der Fischseite mit BIOD 2 Monate ...
