For the sake of continuity, let’s take a quick look at Buffalo Gold. (BYBUF-OTC and BUF.U-V) They have a joint venture with Madison Minerals and just released some excellent results from their ongoing drill program at Mt. Kare.
The drills are turning at Mt. Kare in Papua New Guinea and the best way to phrase it is: Go Buffalo! Seriously, they released an initial set of assays on the project which came back with solid numbers and are aggressively expanding their drill program due in large measure because the first several rounds of assays came back with such excellent numbers. I like the group, I know some of the directors personally, and I feel that they will have an exciting fourth quarter. Damien Reynolds, Chairman of the Board, heads up the group and has recently hired on Brian McEwen as COO. A very knowledgeable and gracious Julie Hajduk directs the IR department and she is the ultimate team player. She is one of the best IR people I know and I encourage you to call her with questions. Damien has a way of picking the right people for the job and Julie and Brian are helping move this project along.
I know Doug Turnbull and Jim Stewart, two directors of the company. Both are first rate professionals.
In this business there is a good deal of hyperbole. With some promotion comes said hyperbole. However, it is very evident that this company is about getting results and getting them in a timely fashion. If you want to keep up with Damien Reynolds and his team, you had better wear your roller skates. Hyperbole is unnecessary. After being around the business for a while, you get a feel for who is going to “produce” and who is going to “talk”. I honestly believe that Buffalo is going to continue to produce.
I have very big expectations for this company. Buffalo Gold in my opinion is a buy. Incidentally, I don’t use terminology like “strong buy” or “very strong buy”; it is either buy, hold or the alternative. Again, Buffalo Gold is a buy!

With a third drill landing on the property in the near future, we can look for even more aggressive drill programs. The third rig will allow them to explore regions of the property undeveloped in the past. If a new mineralized zone is discovered on the Mt. Kare project, then all bets are off. My feeling is that a new zone is going to be aggressively sought based upon some of the mapping, trenching, and geophysical work that has already been completed.

Dieser Titel gehört derzeit zu den "heißesten" Aktien in Vancouver, Peter Brown, Vorstand von Canaccord Capital, kaufte Aktien von Buffalo, Cary Pinkowsky, Gründer von Entree Gold, kaufte Aktien von Buffalo! Der negativ Touch von Bullvestor ist echt schei...., aber der Aktie sollte das nichts ausmachen und die Bohrergebnisse lassen sich davon auch nicht beeindrucken....was solls...

Buffalo Gold Drilling Extends North-Western Roscoelite Zone at Mt. Kare
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 21, 2006) - Buffalo Gold Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BUF.U)(OTCBB:BYBUF)(FWB:B4K) is pleased to announce additional assay results from the diamond drilling program at the Mt. Kare Gold Project in Papua New Guinea. Specific highlights of the drill results include:
North-Western Roscoelite Zone
- 30.0 metres of 19.2 g/t gold in hole MK06-58
- Including 6.5 meters of 41.8 g/t gold
- 25.0 metres of 22.6 g/t gold in hole MK06-63
South-Western Roscoelite Zone
- 29.2 metres of 1.9 g/t gold in hole MK06-68
- And 24.5 metres of 2.5 g/t gold
- And 11.0 metres of 2.9 g/t gold
A summary of drill intersections can be found below in Table 1.
The results from four drill holes have been received since the last Buffalo press release (See Buffalo Release, August 28, 2006, "Buffalo Gold Continues to Hit Significant Mineralization at Mt. Kare"). Holes MK06-58 and MK06-63 are collared approximately 125m and 100m, respectively, into the North-Western Roscoelite zone. The results from holes MK06-58 and MK06-63 demonstrate a continued northern extension of high-grade mineralization in the North-Western Roscoelite Zone (NWRZ).
Holes MK06-39 and MK06-68 were drilled in the South-Western Roscoelite zone and intersected mineralization consistent with the known resource. Results for MK06-68 have only been received to 148 metres depth and ended in mineralization. Results from the remainder of the hole are pending. A fifth hole, MK06-62, was abandoned due to drilling conditions above the target mineralization.
"We are excited to see that as we move to the north we not only continue to see significant intersections of mineralization, but also see higher gold grades," commented Buffalo Chairman and CEO, Damien Reynolds.
The Western Roscoelite Zone is open at depth and the north and northeast, and the ongoing drilling program has holes planned to explore both areas. Reinterpretation of existing IP data shows that the main IP anomalous zone, associated with mineralisation, is open to the south and southwest and at depth below 200m. A number of targets in the IP data, as well as numerous targets away from the main mineralized zones have been identified for drilling.
A summary of the geology and mineralization in these drill holes follows:
MK06-58 explored the down-dip extension of the high grade mineralization encountered in a hole previously drilled by Madison, MK99-73. From 78m to 104m, the hole intersected brecciated, strongly altered siltstones and intrusives hosting zones of semi-massive to locally massive pyrite-sphalerite and minor roscoelite mineralization (one of the common hosts of gold mineralization at Mt. Kare and Porgera).
MK06-63 tested the northern portion of the NWRZ between historical holes, specifically the well mineralized MK97-73 and the less robust MK97-69. The hole intersected a hanging wall succession of sandstones, siltstone breccias and intrusives to 98m. Below this depth, the main mineralized zone was encountered to 123m, comprising strongly altered intrusive and breccias hosting base metal veins, local semi-massive sulphides and thin quartz-carbonate-roscoelite veins.
MK06-39 was aimed to explore the easterly dip extension of the extensive mineralization encountered in MK06-38 (114.8m @ 4.03 g/t Au). The borehole intersected a succession of sandstones and mudstones with brecciated zones and minor intrusives to the contact with the brown mudstone footwall unit at 188m. Patchy, weak, base metal mineralization occurs from 140m to 185m.
MK06-62 was planned to test the easterly, down-dip extension of the well mineralized zone encountered in MK06-50 (49m @ 10.4 g/t Au). Heavy rains destabilized the drill platform, necessitating abandonment of the hole at 105m without achieving target depth.
MK06-68 was drilled in an attempt to help determine the nature and attitude of mineralization in the southern portion of the WRZ, targeting the well mineralized zones in historical hole MK99-146. The borehole intersected landslide material to 24m followed, to 62m, by a sequence of silstones and silicified intrusives hosting pyrite veining and, at 45m, a 1.3m silicified breccia with quartz-roscoelite.

True widths from the drill intersections have not yet been estimated. All samples were analysed for gold by PT Intertek Utama Services in Jakarta, part of an internationally recognized lab testing group with ISO 17025 accreditation at the Jakarta facility. Samples were analysed using a 50g fire assay with AA finish for gold and an aqua regia digestion, ICP-OES finish for silver.
Buffalo plans a conference call to update shareholders and interested parties on all of the activities of the companies. Details of the call will follow in a later release.

Die Ergebnisse von MK06-68 wurden nur bis auf 148 Meter Tiefe erhalten und endeten bei Mineralisierung. Die restlichen Ergebnisse des Loches stehen noch aus. Ein fünftes Loch, MK06-62, wurde aufgrund von schlechten Bohrkonditionen oberhalb der angestrebten Mineralisierung aufgegeben.
"Wir sind erfreut darüber, dass wir, je weiter wir uns Richtung Norden bewegen, nicht nur weiterhin bedeutende Durchkreuzungen von Mineralisierung erhalten, sondern sogar auf höhere Goldgrade stoßen", erklärte Buffalos Chairman und CEO Damien Reynolds.
Die Westliche Roscoelite-Zone ist in der Tiefe sowie im Norden und Nordosten offen, und das fortlaufende Bohrprogramm plant Bohrlöcher, um diese Gebiete zu explorieren. Die Reinterpretation von existierenden IP-Daten zeigt, dass die Haupt-IP-Zone, die mit Mineralisierung assoziiert ist, zum Süden und Südwesten und in der Tiefe unterhalb von 200m offen ist. Eine Anzahl von Zielflächen basierend auf den IP-Daten sowie zahlreiche Zielflächen abseits der hauptsächlich mineralisierten Zonen wurden für Bohrungen identifiziert.
Eine Zusammenfassung der Geologie und Mineralisierung in diesen Bohrlöchern finden Sie im Folgenden:
MK06-58 untersuchte die Neigungs-Erweiterung der hochgradigen Mineralisierung, welche in einem Bohrloch entdeckt wurde, das von "Madison" gebohrt wurde. MK06-63 testete den nördlichen Abschnitt der NWRZ zwischen historischen Löchern. Das Bohrloch durchkreuzte eine herabhängende Abbaustrecke von Sandsteinen, Schlickgestein-Breccias und Tiefengestein bis 98m. Unterhalb dieser Tiefe stieß man auf die hauptsächlich mineralisierte Zone bis auf 123m, die aus stark verändertem Tiefengestein und Breccias besteht, welche Basismetall-Adern, lokale semi-massive Sulphide und dünne Quarz-Karbonat-Roscoelite-Adern beherbergen.
MK06-39 zielte darauf ab, die östliche Neigungserweiterung der beträchtlichen Mineralisierung, auf welche man im Bohrloch MK06-38 (114,8 m @ 4,03 g/t Au) stieß, zu explorieren. Es durchkreuzte eine Abfolge von Sandsteinen und Schlammsteinen mit Breccia-Zonen und etwas Tiefengestein. Unregelmäßige, schwache Basismetall-Mineralisierung kommt zwischen 140m und 185m vor.
MK06-62 sollte die östliche Neigungs-Erweiterung der mineralisierten Zone, auf die man in Bohrloch MK06-50 (49 m @ 10,4 g/t Au) traf, testen. Starker Regen destabilisierte die Bohr-Plattform und machte ein Aufgeben des Loches bei 105m nötig, wodurch die anvisierte Tiefe nicht erreicht wurde.
MK06-68 wurde gebohrt, um die Beschaffenheit und Eigenschaften der Mineralisierung im südlichen Abschnitt der WRZ zu bestimmen. Das Bohrloch durchkreuzte Erdrutschmaterial bis 24m, gefolgt von einer Abfolge von Schlickgestein und verkalktem Tiefengestein bis auf 62m, welches Pyritadern beherbergt; in 45m Tiefe traf man auf verkalkte Breccias mit Quarz-Roscoelite.

Buffalo Gold erweitert Nordöstliche Roscoelite-Zone auf Mt. Kare

Vancouver, B.C. / Kanada (ots) - 19. September 2006 - Buffalo Gold Ltd. (Nachrichten) (Frankfurt WKN A0F6MH; ISIN CA11953Q1063) freut sich, weitere Ergebnisse vom Diamantbohrerprogramm auf seinem Mt.-Kare-Projekt in Papua Neuguinea bekannt zu geben. Höhepunkte der Bohrungen beinhalten:
Nordwestliche Roscoelite-Zone - 30,0 Meter zu 19,2 g/t Gold in Bohrloch MK06-58 Einschließlich 6,5 Meter zu 41,8 g/t Gold - 25,0 Meter zu 22,6 g/t Gold in Bohrloch MK06-63 Südwestliche Roscoelite-Zone - 29,2 Meter zu 1,9 g/t Gold in Bohrloch MK06-68 Und 24,5 Meter zu 2,5 g/t Gold Und 11,0 Meter zu 2,9 g/t Gold

Die Ergebnisse von den Bohrlöchern MK06-58 und MK06-63 zeigen eine fortlaufende nördliche Erweiterung der hochgradigen Mineralisierung in der Nordwestlichen Roscoelite-Zone.
Die Bohrlöcher MK06-39 und MK06-68 wurden in der Südwestlichen Roscoelite-Zone gebohrt und durchkreuzten Mineralisierungen, die mit den bekannten Reserven übereinstimmen. Die Ergebnisse von MK06-68 wurden nur bis auf 148 Meter Tiefe erhalten und endeten bei Mineralisierung. Die restlichen Ergebnisse des Loches stehen noch aus. Ein fünftes Loch, MK06-62, wurde aufgrund von schlechten Bohrkonditionen oberhalb der angestrebten Mineralisierung aufgegeben.
"Wir sind erfreut darüber, dass wir, je weiter wir uns Richtung Norden bewegen, nicht nur weiterhin bedeutende Durchkreuzungen von Mineralisierung erhalten, sondern sogar auf höhere Goldgrade stoßen", erklärte Buffalos Chairman und CEO Damien Reynolds.
Die Westliche Roscoelite-Zone ist in der Tiefe sowie im Norden und Nordosten offen, und das fortlaufende Bohrprogramm plant Bohrlöcher, um diese Gebiete zu explorieren. Die Reinterpretation von existierenden IP-Daten zeigt, dass die Haupt-IP-Zone, die mit Mineralisierung assoziiert ist, zum Süden und Südwesten und in der Tiefe unterhalb von 200m offen ist. Eine Anzahl von Zielflächen basierend auf den IP-Daten sowie zahlreiche Zielflächen abseits der hauptsächlich mineralisierten Zonen wurden für Bohrungen identifiziert.
Eine Zusammenfassung der Geologie und Mineralisierung in diesen Bohrlöchern finden Sie im Folgenden:
MK06-58 untersuchte die Neigungs-Erweiterung der hochgradigen Mineralisierung, welche in einem Bohrloch entdeckt wurde, das von "Madison" gebohrt wurde. Zwischen 78m und 104m durchkreuzte das Bohrloch brecciaartiges, stark verändertes Schlick- und Tiefengestein, das Zonen mit semi-massiver bis massiver Pyrit-Zinkblende und etwas Roscoelite-Mineralisierung beherbergt.
MK06-63 testete den nördlichen Abschnitt der NWRZ zwischen historischen Löchern. Das Bohrloch durchkreuzte eine herabhängende Abbaustrecke von Sandsteinen, Schlickgestein-Breccias und Tiefengestein bis 98m. Unterhalb dieser Tiefe stieß man auf die hauptsächlich mineralisierte Zone bis auf 123m, die aus stark verändertem Tiefengestein und Breccias besteht, welche Basismetall-Adern, lokale semi-massive Sulphide und dünne Quarz-Karbonat-Roscoelite-Adern beherbergen.
MK06-39 zielte darauf ab, die östliche Neigungserweiterung der beträchtlichen Mineralisierung, auf welche man im Bohrloch MK06-38 (114,8 m @ 4,03 g/t Au) stieß, zu explorieren. Es durchkreuzte eine Abfolge von Sandsteinen und Schlammsteinen mit Breccia-Zonen und etwas Tiefengestein. Unregelmäßige, schwache Basismetall-Mineralisierung kommt zwischen 140m und 185m vor.
MK06-62 sollte die östliche Neigungs-Erweiterung der mineralisierten Zone, auf die man in Bohrloch MK06-50 (49 m @ 10,4 g/t Au) traf, testen. Starker Regen destabilisierte die Bohr-Plattform und machte ein Aufgeben des Loches bei 105m nötig, wodurch die anvisierte Tiefe nicht erreicht wurde.
MK06-68 wurde gebohrt, um die Beschaffenheit und Eigenschaften der Mineralisierung im südlichen Abschnitt der WRZ zu bestimmen. Das Bohrloch durchkreuzte Erdrutschmaterial bis 24m, gefolgt von einer Abfolge von Schlickgestein und verkalktem Tiefengestein bis auf 62m, welches Pyritadern beherbergt; in 45m Tiefe traf man auf verkalkte Breccias mit Quarz-Roscoelite.

Murphy Ridge Uranium Project
The Murphy Ridge Project is in the western extensions of the Westmoreland-Pandanus Creek Uranium field, which straddles the Queensland-Northern Territory border. The Westmoreland deposits, owned by other companies, have a large existing inferred resource of 17.4M tons @ 1.2 kg/ton U3O8 (greater than 44 million pounds) which ranks it as one of the top ten largest uranium deposits in Australia. This resource calculation was completed by Rio Tinto but based on work completed prior to the implementation of National Instrument 43-101, and is therefore not currently 43-101 compliant (ref: www.laramide.com).
Buffalo's Murphy Ridge Project comprises two strategically placed granted exploration permits totalling approximately 2,300 km2 in the Northern Territory. The target is unconformity style uranium with a setting analogous to the world-class Ranger and Jabiluka Mines, also in the Northern Territory. This style of uranium deposit is the highest grade in the world with Canadian examples that include Cigar Lake and McArthur River in the Athabasca Basin.
Buffalo will commence flying an airborne EM survey in September 2006 to define the prospective host package under thin younger cover sediments. This will be followed by drill testing of resultant targets later in the year.
Buffalo has an option to acquire a 100% interest in the licences that comprise the Murphy Ridge Project from a private Australian company, Global Discovery Pty. Limited.
Juntala Uranium Project
The 100% owned Juntala Project is an exploration licence application covering approximately 800 km2 and is located in the Georgetown-Townsville uranium field. Mega Uranium's Maureen and Ben Lomond uranium deposits also occur in this field. The Maureen deposit has a 1979 non-NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate from Getty Mining Pty Ltd. of 2.38 million tonnes@0.12% U3O8 with a cut-off of 0.035% U3O8. Ben Lomond has a NI 43-101 indicated resource of 1.32 million tonnes @ 0.27% U3O8 and inferred resource of 602,585 tonnes @ 0.21% U3O8. (ref: www.megauranium.com).
A high amplitude uranium channel radiometric anomaly strikes for over 35 kilometres within the basement rocks of the Juntala Project area. Technical review of the project has highlighted the potential of the area for a sandstone-hosted roll-front uranium deposit within the package of sedimentary rocks. This package has over 50 kilometres of strike length of favourable sedimentary rocks.
Buffalo's program involves initial research of existing data, followed by geophysical surveys and exploration drilling to locate and define ancient river channels.
Lake Amadeus & Lake Neal Uranium Projects
The 100% owned Lake Amadeus & Lake Neal Projects in the Northern Territory has potential for a sedimentary uranium deposit in calcrete or clays, similar to deposits found in Western Australia.
The Lake Amadeus & Lake Neal Projects are comprised of three exploration licence applications covering over 2,000 km2 with high amplitude surface uranium anomalies striking for in excess of sixty kilometres. Buffalo has interpreted the uranium channel within the detailed radiometrics data available and identified more than twenty anomalies.
Applications for consents to explore the Exploration Licences have been lodged with the relevant Land Council.

A comprehensive integration and review of the available airborne magnetics/radiometrics and gravity data over the whole property and immediate surrounds continued this month with the aim of confirming targets for drill testing. This review has identified several areas, which occur in geological and structural settings similar to that of the Maureen deposit and Kidston Gold Deposit.
These areas of interest will be priority targets for exploration work when the tenements are granted.

Eight exploration permits were granted this month over 100km of stratigraphy prospective for sedimentary-hosted uranium deposits in Central Queensland. Radiometrics data show numerous discrete, high-amplitude U channel anomalies along this trend. Individual anomalies have strike lengths of several kilometres.
Sampling of available core from a stratigraphic hole drilled previously by a government department, returned peak values of anomalous uranium up to 20ppm. Strong Molybdenum (116ppm) and Vanadium (763ppm) are associated with the uranium.
Buffalo plans to carry out first pass surface sampling of the radiometric anomalies in the coming months.

Corridors Gold Project
On the 100% owned Corridors Project, Buffalo is targeting high-grade epithermal gold deposits similar to Newmont's Pajingo-Vera Nancy Mine, Queensland's major gold producer.
Buffalo has secured an agreement with BHP Billiton for exclusive use of a recently flown FALCON(TM) survey. This airborne gravity gradiometer data has been valuable in highlighting quality targets.
Soil sampling has been completed by Buffalo on several of the FALCON(TM) targets within the Dalton Tank tenements and over a magnetic anomaly within the Langton tenement that form a part of the Corridors Gold Project. Sampling at Dalton Tank defined anomalous gold and silver over 600m in one anomaly and anomalous antimony with associated gold over 800m in a second anomaly. At Langton, 3 discrete areas of anomalous gold have been defined, one with a strike length of 2.5km. Two of these have associated base metals which are commonly found in breccia-hosted, large tonnage gold deposits such as Mt Leyshon. Follow-up, detailed soil sampling has commenced in these areas and results should be available next month.

Oakland Park and Golden Gate Projects
Interpretation of geophysical data has resulted in the recognition of the potential extension of the Croydon Goldfield in Queensland, to the northwest of Buffalo's Golden Gate Project. A new 100% Buffalo title, named Oakland Park, has been lodged over the area which has received limited prior exploration due to a likely thin cover of sediments. Major structure is evident in the magnetics data, which strikes from Oakland Park into the contiguous Golden Gate Project. Historically, the Croydon Goldfield produced around 1 million ounces of gold.
Drill testing compelling magnetic target
Hannah Ni-Cu-PGE Project
Buffalo have recommenced drilling this week at its optioned Hannah nickel-copper-pge Project in Western Australia, with a rotary mud/diamond drilling program. This follows drilling by Buffalo last month which prepared an open hole pre-collar for the current drilling program.
An initial drill program of some 500 metres is focusing on the main target, which forms part of a 6 kilometre long magnetic anomaly that has a coincident gravity anomaly.
The Hannah Project is located along major structure, approximately 400 kilometres southeast of Kalgoorlie, along the margin of the Fraser Mobile Belt, with an interpreted Archaean Greenstone terrane to the east. Regionally this province has character in the magnetics data that suggests it could contain several significant deposits hosted by mafic rocks similar to the large Jinchuan Copper-Nickel deposit.
The Hannah target was first discovered by a major Australian mining company, but drill testing failed to reach target due to technical difficulties. From geophysical modelling, the target depth has been estimated to be at a depth of 450 metres. Buffalo Gold holds one granted and three exploration licence applications along the Fraser Mobile Belt, covering the Hannah target and 5 other significant targets in surrounding areas.

Sampling at Dalton Tank defined anomalous gold and silver over 600m in one anomaly and anomalous antimony with associated gold over 800m in a second anomaly. At Langton, 3 discrete areas of anomalous gold have been defined, one with a strike length of 2.5km. Two of these have associated base metals which are commonly found in breccia-hosted, large tonnage gold deposits such as Mt Leyshon. Follow-up, detailed soil sampling has commenced in these areas and results should be available next month.
New 100% title acquired over NW extension of Croydon Goldfield
Oakland Park and Golden Gate Projects
Interpretation of geophysical data has resulted in the recognition of the potential extension of the Croydon Goldfield in Queensland, to the northwest of Buffalo's Golden Gate Project. A new 100% Buffalo title, named Oakland Park, has been lodged over the area which has received limited prior exploration due to a likely thin cover of sediments. Major structure is evident in the magnetics data, which strikes from Oakland Park into the contiguous Golden Gate Project. Historically, the Croydon Goldfield produced around 1 million ounces of gold.

Hannah Ni-Cu-PGE Project
Buffalo have recommenced drilling this week at its optioned Hannah nickel-copper-pge Project in Western Australia, with a rotary mud/diamond drilling program. This follows drilling by Buffalo last month which prepared an open hole pre-collar for the current drilling program.
An initial drill program of some 500 metres is focusing on the main target, which forms part of a 6 kilometre long magnetic anomaly that has a coincident gravity anomaly.
The Hannah Project is located along major structure, approximately 400 kilometres southeast of Kalgoorlie, along the margin of the Fraser Mobile Belt, with an interpreted Archaean Greenstone terrane to the east. Regionally this province has character in the magnetics data that suggests it could contain several significant deposits hosted by mafic rocks similar to the large Jinchuan Copper-Nickel deposit.
The Hannah target was first discovered by a major Australian mining company, but drill testing failed to reach target due to technical difficulties. From geophysical modelling, the target depth has been estimated to be at a depth of 450 metres. Buffalo Gold holds one granted and three exploration licence applications along the Fraser Mobile Belt, covering the Hannah target and 5 other significant targets in surrounding areas.

BUF.U has found 33 exceptional holes in 2006 so far.
Some of them are long thickness with high grade gold!!
Some of them are super high grade and bonanza grade!!
Most of them are new drilled holes and some of them are infill drilled holes!!
If you compare the results with the results MMR found in 2002 and 2003, you will find Buffalo's find has doubled or trippled the values at Mt Kare.
Historical resrouce is 1.8 mm ounces gold. Now it is gonna to be 5 mm!!
And the property is expanded with a 180km2 land at the north of Mt Kare.
So far 33 holes have been completed, we still have 25~30 holes to be finished. Check the map!!!
Buffalo will be over $5.00 by the end of October!!!

BUFFALO GOLD CLOSES US$20M BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT
Buffalo Gold Ltd.'s brokered private placement previously reported in Stockwatch Aug. 30, 2006, has closed. Pursuant to the private placement Buffalo has issued 11,428,700 units at $1.75 (U.S.) per unit to generate gross proceeds of $20,000,225 (U.S.). Each unit consists of one share and one-half share purchase warrant, with every whole warrant entitling the purchase of one additional share of Buffalo at an exercise price of $2.25 (U.S.) per share until Sept. 25, 2008.
The private placement was conducted by a syndicate of agents led by Canaccord Adams and included Pacific International Securities, Sprott Securities and Dundee Securities. The agents received a commission of 6.5 per cent of the total proceeds on closing in cash and 10 per cent agents' warrants entitling the purchase of one additional share of Buffalo at an exercise price of $2.10 (U.S.) per share until Sept. 25, 2008. Buffalo thanks all of the agents for their participation.
All securities issued pursuant to the closing of the placement are subject to a four-month hold period ending Jan. 26, 2007.
The proceeds of this placement along with the company's current cash position of $2-million (U.S.) will be used to complete an extensive exploration program across the company's licences in PNG, as well as complete the current drill program, the prefeasibility and feasibility study for the Mt. Kare property.
Buffalo has defined multiple additional targets at Mt. Kare with magnetic anomalies and surface samples indicative of the potential for significant additional mineralization. Each of these targets will undergo a systematic exploration approach which could include surface sampling, geophysics and diamond drilling. These programs have already begun at site.
Targets to be tested include:
the northern extension of the Northwestern Roscoelite zone;
the deep extension of the Northwestern Roscoelite zone;
Red Hill (northeast extension of the Northwestern Roscoelite zone);
additional zones contiguous to WRZ: Central, Black, Realgar, C9;
Lower Maratane zone; southern extension of the SWRZ;
Lubu Creek magnetic anomaly;

Buffalo is pleased to announce that Dr. Jeremy Richards has agreed to join its advisory board. Dr. Richards is a professional geologist with a PhD from Australian National University. His 20-year research career has focused on aspects of the formation of hydrothermal mineral deposits across six continents, and he has spent considerable time studying the Porgera and Mt. Kare deposits. Dr. Richards has published several papers on Porgera, including a comparison of the geology of Mt. Kare which described many similar aspects of the two deposits including the mineralogy, geochemistry, age and isotopic compositions. In addition, in the comparison of Porgera and Mt. Kare he and his co-author state: "It is suggested that both of these deposits belong to the alkalic epithermal group, to which Cripple Creek (Colorado), Emperor (Fiji) and Ladolam (Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea) also belong. Igneous centres with these characteristics and located in complex convergent tectonic settings should be considered as prospective targets for precious metal exploration." Buffalo welcomes Dr. Richards to its advisory board and looks forward to his contributions to the exploration program at Mt. Kare.
Buffalo also reports that it has, subject to regulatory approval, granted incentive stock options entitling the purchase of up to 1.14 million shares at a price of $2.08 (U.S.) per share until Sept. 25, 2011. This includes the 350,000 options that Buffalo reported in Stockwatch Sept. 14, 2006, that it intended to grant upon becoming available.
