Interessanter Beitrag eines australischen Globe Investores zum kommenden ECE / GBE Deal

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last quarter of GBE was indeed pretty full on. From early September of 20 cents for the year high of 51 cents with more than 75 mil shares traded. In between, we have the REE hype, Kanyika Niobium resources upgrade, RSL/GBE ownership and capability bla bla bla then ECE ?takeover?. and now sitting around the 30 cents mark awaiting for the approval of FIRB and EGM meeting on next few weeks.

I have taken a few days off during the end of the year to refresh/research a bit more about the ECE deal, and I found out the offer is not all that gloomy as I have previously thought (i blame my stupidity of not researching ECE enuff). E.g: Losing control right, not sure what?s next after the Chinese are on board, project shelving, REE monopoly??and the pessimistic list just go on since the deal had been announced.

I'm at a point to offload all my shares around the 25-26 cents mark and I decided to spend a few hours to check out ECE b4 I push the button. I sold small parcels of shares after I google ECE history and background and can?t find much info about it. I give up? Nope! I finally found their official website thru Baidu (China search engine) and spend the next few hours reading all their current and historical news archive! I quickly reverse my position to buy back the share I sold with some topping up as well. Knowing what ECE had dealt with previously and what they intend to do next give did give me some confidence on the GBE deal.

      Brief ECE
East China Mineral Exploration & Development Bureau was established in March, 1955. It has successively uder the State Department of Heavy Industry, Department of Metallurgical Industry, China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Corporation and State Non-ferrous Metals Industry Bureau. Till 2007, there are totally 4463 employees in the bureau, including a large number of renowned experts. We have 9 departments in the bureau, 8 subordinated geological exploration teams, 7 scientific research centers, one Post-doctoral Workstation and 22 enterprises of mining, survey and drilling. We hold a number of high-grade aptitude, such as Regional Geological Survey, Solid Mineral Exploration, Geophysical Prospecting, Geochemical Prospecting, Geological Survey Remote Sensing, Preventing & Controlling geological disasters, Hydrological, Engineering, Environmental geological Survey??market cap? Unknown figure as they still part of the CGE (Chinese Government Enterprise)

      Current Project

      Buka Gold
The estimated resource volume of Boka Gold deposit is 20 tons of gold and 50 tones of copper, the potential value of resource is over 30 billions RMB. (5 billion AUD)

      Fujian Lead and Zinc
Jindong Mining of ECE has successfully explored the largest lead and zinc deposit in Fujian Province. It has become a local ?star enterprise? by supporting mining economic life line of Youxi and surrounding regions with its remarkable achievements.

      Anhui Moly and Copper
Ever since its implemetation in 2008, personnel of more than ten specialities have entered the construction site at the same time, such as geology, geophysical exploration, geochemical exploration, drilling, measurement, hydrology, engineering, enveronment, rock test and scientific research. This deposit owns 100 thousands tons, the potential value will be over 60 billions RMB (10 bil AUD)

      Arafura REE
I don have to explain this one I guess

The list goes on to Namibia, Brazil and Iran???.

Of course, not all acquisition went smoothly as they wished, the recent ?sour grape? of ECE include the recent NTU deal that offer 50.1% @ 14.5 cents. NTU was riding the REE hype and managed to get local funding. SP of NTU shoot up thru the roof and managed to get LYC on board. Well, no hard feelings from ECE from the looks of it, as what they have is massive pile of cash to keep buying according to the General-Director Shaw Yi.

Sep 2009, WTI, or Weatherly International Plc listed in London, ECE proposed the same deal as norm, 50.1% of the WTI and 3.6 pence worth around 17 mil pound. The deal was thought to went thru but fall apart on Feb 2010 of accusation that WTI sold off certain asset of the company which adversely affect the valuation during the due diligence process (I guess they did it for purpose.lol, just my opinion), Dundee Precious Metal who is the largest shareholder in WTI also voted no to the deal. Deal call off, SP of WTI us usual shoot thru the roof from 2.6 pence to last week 14 pence.

That concludes that so far, ECE only offer 3 company for its 50.1% stake and 2 has faild so far and GBE the current one to watch!

To make it short, ECE General Director Shaw Yi said last weeks to CNforex that the next step for ECE is to go public and listed ECE in China Stock Exchange, LSE and HKSE. IMO, In order to do that, ECE need more viable project to go online asap (production) and GBE Kanyika Niobium-Tantulum project happened to be the one of them. The conspiracy theory of buying 50.1% then nothing will happen is not my concerned anymore. The new communist of this era is happened to be the most active capitalist in the world. They hunger for resources and especially for those state enterprise who are eager to go public (Listed), they have to perform and not sitting in the office chatting with his mate on facebook and keep signing more cheap shares to his instos mate.

If the deal is approved, we know that massive pile of cash is behind us to develop Kanyika and the entire HREE project. ECE need this to prove themselves that their offer is to bring wealth to existing shareholders and not destroying it. I?m very confident to say that the ECE would not jeopardize any chance to bring Kanyika online because the Chinese care about their reputation more than their money.
Not to mention that 41 mil AUD investments in GBE are really peanuts anyway to the 1.22 bil USD iron ore project they want to buy in Brazil this year!

Lastly, to answer raysting from Germany concerned :? I am thinking about buying GBE stocks, but there is a big question mark in my head: If ECE owns 51 percent of GBE, could they force us to sell our stocks at some low price????

I Said: They could but they won?t, because ECE is not prepare to burn down the whole forest for one small tree!! They need to germinate the tree to show the world how good they are when they take over 50.1%!!!

Above are just purely my own opinion after some research on ECE! Happy to share some thought s with those who have more info regarding ECE. Cheers and Happy trading!

For those who?s interested to study more about ECE, the link the as follow:
The Chinese website have much more info to offer as compare to their English version but do need a lots of effort to translate the page by page which is quite time consuming.
