("Nexus" oder das "Unternehmen") (TSXV:NXS) (OTC:NXXGF) (FSE:N6E) freut sich, bekannt zu geben, dass es Feldbesatzungen zu seiner zu 100 % unternehmenseigenen, 190,53 Quadratkilometer (19.053 Hektar) großen Goldexplorationsgenehmigung Manzour-Dayere mobilisiert hat, die sich im Boromo-Grünsteingürtel, 325 km südwestlich der Hauptstadt Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Westafrika, befindet.

Die Feldteams werden ein grundstücksweites geologisches Kartierungs-, Schürf- und Gesteinsprobenprogramm durchführen, um geeignete Gebiete für Bodenuntersuchungen und Bohrtests zu bestimmen. Frühere Betreiber des Grundstücks identifizierten neun Strukturen durch eine luftgestützte magnetische Untersuchung. Diese Strukturen wurden wenig bis gar nicht weiterverfolgt. Das Programm wird auch versuchen, die Goldmineralisierung zu erweitern, die bereits in der nordöstlichen Ecke des Grundstücks identifiziert wurde und Ergebnisse von 9,60 Gramm pro Tonne ("g/t") Gold ("Au"), 7,07 g/t Au, 5,73 g/t Au, 3,84 g/t Au und 2,84 g/t Au ergab (siehe Pressemitteilung des Unternehmens vom 27. ("Nexus" oder das "Unternehmen") (TSXV:NXS) (OTC:NXXGF) (FSE:N6E) freut sich bekannt zu geben, dass es die 301 Linienkilometer umfassende Airborne-Vermessung auf dem unternehmenseigenen Projekt New Pilot, das sich im Gebiet Bralorne in British Columbia befindet, abgeschlossen hat.

Die Vermessung, die von Precision GeoSurveys Inc. durchgeführt wurde, sollte das 509 Hektar große Grundstück mit Hilfe von Fluglinien abdecken, die in Nord-Süd-Richtung ausgerichtet sind und einen Abstand von 50 Metern aufweisen. New Pilot ist ein Kupfer-Gold-Explorationsgrundstück im historischen Bridge River Mining Camp, etwa 180 Kilometer nördlich von Vancouver und 10,5 Kilometer westlich des Dorfes Gold Bridge, British Columbia.

Die bisherigen Arbeiten des Unternehmens im Jahr 2019 bei New Pilot bestanden aus einem Sommererkundungs- und Probenahmeprogramm in und um die Gebiete der historischen Exploration. Das 509 Hektar große Grundstück war bereits Gegenstand historischer Explorationen. Zwischen 1992 und 1994 führte Cogema Canada Ltd. detaillierte Schürfungen und Probenahmen durch. 99 Schürfproben wurden in drei Zonen entnommen, von denen drei Werte von über 100 g/t Au lieferten, einschließlich 102 g/t Au, 106 g/t Au mit sichtbarem Gold und 111 g/t Au; drei lieferten Werte von über 10 g/t Au (17 g/t Au, 21 g/t Au, 33 g/t Au) und 14 weitere lieferten Werte von über 1 g/t Au.

Darüber hinaus wurden 59 Bodenproben, 229 Gesteinsproben und 66 Kernproben aus einem kleinen 108 Meter langen Diamantbohrprogramm gewonnen. Zu den bedeutenden Ergebnissen gehören Gesteinsproben mit 4,03 g/t Au auf 10 Metern und 1 g/t Au auf 10,5 Metern im Bohrkern.

Auf dem Projekt wurden drei Arten von Mineralisierungen identifiziert: sulfidhaltige Kieselbrüche, karbonatveränderte Scherflächen und arsenopyrithaltige Quarzadern. Der Standort des Projekts befindet sich am Kontakt des Coast Crystalline Complex und der Bridge River-Sedimente. In den vergangenen 80 Jahren wurden mehrere Explorationsprogramme auf oder in der Nähe des Grundstücks durchgeführt, wobei man sich zunächst auf die Pilotmine und deren Streichenverlängerung konzentrierte. (“Nexus” or the “Company”) (TSXV:NXS) (OTC:NXXGF) (FSE:N6E) is pleased to report it has engaged Full Force Diamond Drilling for the upcoming diamond drill program at the Company’s 100% owned McKenzie Gold Project, located in Red Lake, Ontario.

The Company is set to conduct its second round of drilling, a 2000 meter diamond drill program, at its 1.398-hectare McKenzie Gold Project, in late March. This follow up program is designed to test and expand on the gold results obtained in the August 2020 drill program in the St. Paul’s Bay area of the property. Highlighted intercepts of that program included 13.25 grams-per-tonne (“g/t”) gold (“Au”) over 2.75 meters, including 36.20 g/t Au over 1 meter in hole MK-20-006, and 55 meters of 1.00 g/t Au, including 16 meters of 1.42 g/t Au, in Hole MK-20-008.

Exploration Contractor, Rimini Exploration (“Rimini”), has informed the Company that it will begin mobilizing the drill team to Red Lake once its regional core logging exploration team has completed its current assignment. Rimini has established a dedicated core logging and sampling facility and has established a comprehensive sample tracking and transporting system resulting an efficient turn around time for drill core analysis.

Results from the summer 2020 McKenzie drill program returned values similar to historic drilling in the area, which have been typically higher-grade intercepts over narrow widths (i.e., 0.5m to 1m of > 5 g/t Au). In addition, holes 007 and 008 drilled during the 2020 program identified a second style of gold mineralization on the McKenzie property. These lengthy (> 100m) disseminated, sub and near one-gram gold intercepts more closely resemble the type of mineralization being explored by Premier Gold at the Hasaga Project, located approximately 5kms to the south-east of the McKenzie project ground.

Premier Gold’s Hasaga Property is host to the past-producing Hasaga and Gold Shore Mines and is strategically located proximal to the Balmer-Confederation regional unconformity, recognized as an important geologic feature at the multi-million ounce past and currently producing Red Lake area mines. The deposits on the Hasaga Project are estimated as hosting an Indicated mineral resource of 42.294 million tonnes at a grade of 0.83 g/t gold representing 1,123,900 ounces of gold*.

Assays are pending for the remaining six holes from the Company’s recently completed maiden drill program at the 100%-owned, 98-sq km Dakouli 2 concession, and it will report those results once received, reviewed, and verified. The Company anticipates receiving these results in the next week to 10 days as delays consistent with mandated Covid-19 protocols and increased lab activity are currently being experienced.

The Company concluded a 2,914 meter Reverse Circulation (“RC”) drill program in late December. The program was designed to test several areas that have returned either high gold values from rock samples or coincidental soil geochemical and geophysical anomalies proximal to artisanal workings, termed “orpaillages”, and resulted in significant gold discovery.

Noteworthy results were received in hole DKL-20-RC-007, which returned 4.83 grams-per-tonne (“g/t”) gold (“Au”) over 20 meters, including 14.51 g/t Au over 6m (also including 39.6 g/t over 2m). Other significant results were realized in hole DKL-20-RC-009, which returned 1.61 g/t Au over 10 meters, including 4.11 g/t Au over 2 meters, and DKL-20-RC-010, which returned 1.89 g/t Au over 8 meters, including 6.54 g/t Au over 2 meters. In addition, several holes returned lengthy intercepts of sub-one gram gold, including DKL-20-RC-006 which returned .33 g/t Au over 36 meters, including .59 g/t Au over 18 meters, and DKL-20-RC-002 which returned .64 g/t Au over 16 meters.

The gold mineralization encountered in the Northeast zone consists of disseminated sulfides, containing pyrite, chalcopyrite, galena, and particles of visible gold. The mineralization occurs at or proximal to contacts between clastic sedimentary rocks and Mafic volcanics rocks. The mineralized zones are part of pervasive hydrothermal alteration developed in these highly strained sedimentary and volcanic rocks. The company is interpreting the foliation observed in the RC chips as being loosely sub-parallel to the dominant foliation fabric of the Sabce shear zone.

The combination of higher-than-average grades and lengthier sub-one gram intercepts is encouraging, and warrants follow up diamond drilling which is now scheduled for April 2021. More information on the scope of this program will be announced in the coming weeks.

McKenzie Gold Project, Red Lake, Ontario

A phase two drill program at the McKenzie Gold Project in Red Lake, Ontario, is now scheduled for mid-to-late March 2021. The Company is planning a 2000 meter diamond drill campaign that will either follow up the initial round of drill results obtained last August in the St. Paul’s Bay region (south) of the project ground, or that will target the McKenzie Island portion (north) of the property. Company personnel are monitoring weather and temperature forecasts with regard to island access as ice thickness and stability are required. More information regarding specific target locations of the upcoming drill program at McKenzie will be made available shortly.

Historical drilling in the St. Paul’s Bay region of the property had already confirmed the presence of narrow, gold-bearing veins in the St. Paul’s Bay region of the southernmost section of the property. The inaugural Nexus drill program was able to replicate these same types of intercepts, with several intercepts in the half meter to 1.5-meter length assaying between 3.42 g/t Au to 7.43 g/t Au. A higher-grade intercept, 2.75 meters of 13.25 g/t Au (including 1 meter of 36.2 g/t Au) (see Company news release dated August 18, 2020) was also recovered.

The second phase of this drill program recovered two significant, lengthy mineralized intercepts, including 117.4 meters of .33 g/t Au (including 9.4 meters of 1.26 g/t Au), and 117.5 meters of .62 g/t Au, which included 55.5 meters of 1 g/t Au, including 16 meters of 1.42 g/t Au, and 6 meters of 2.37 g/t Au, and 9 meters of 1.14 g/t Au, among others (see Company news release dated September 3, 2020). These holes were drilled north of the other 11 holes and represent an additional area of interest for further exploration.

The results from the first phase of drilling were successful in identifying a second style of gold mineralization at McKenzie. The occurrence of disseminated lengthier near one-gram intervals is viewed as a key development in establishing the presence of economic mineralization at the project. It is also notable that this type of mineralization more closely resembles Premier Gold Mines’ nearby past-producing Hasaga Mine, located approximately five kilometers east of McKenzie, which is estimated to host and Indicated mineral resource of 1.12M ounces of gold grading .83 g/t Au*.

9,744,913 Warrants were issued on February 26, 2019 at a price of $0.18 per Share (the “February Warrants”), 4,924,564 Warrants were issued on March 19, 2019 at a price of $0.18 per Share, 3,492,565 Warrants were issued on March 19, 2019 at a price of $0.20 per Share and 787,500 Warrants were issued on March 21, 2019 at a price of $0.18 per Share (the “March Warrants”). No warrants have been exercised to date.

Subject to the approval of TSX Venture Exchange ("TSX-V"), Nexus Gold will extend the expiration of the February Warrants to February 26, 2022 and lower the exercise price of the February Warrants to $0.10 per Share. Further, Nexus Gold will extend the expiration of the March Warrants to March 19, 2022 and lower the exercise price of the March Warrants to $0.10 per Share.

In accordance with TSX Venture Exchange regulations, the expiration of all Warrants will be accelerated to 30 days if, for any ten consecutive trading days, the closing price of the common shares of the Company on the TSX-V is $0.125 or greater (the “Acceleration Trigger”), with such 30-day period starting 7 days after the Acceleration Trigger. All other terms of the Warrants will remain unchanged.

The extension and price reduction will not apply to the 285,130 and 335,040 Broker Warrants issued on February 26, 2019 and March 19, 2019, respectively.

Completion of the amendments to the Warrants remain subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, and the holders of the Warrants.

Gold Explorer Announces Discovery at West Africa Project

2020 was a good year for gold. It was one of the best performing assets due to a mix of high risk, low interest rates and positive price momentum – particularly during the latter half of the year. Investors are predicting this momentum to continue into 2021. Some major banks like Goldman Sachs, Commerzbank and CIBC are predicting that gold could reach $2,300 an ounce this year.

With these projections, and the latest findings from a Canadian gold explorer, it seems like a good time to be in the gold business. On January 26, Nexus Gold Corp. (TSX-V: NXS, OTC: NXXGF, Forum), reported initial results at its 100 per cent owned Dakouli 2 gold project in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

The Dakouli 2 exploration permit is a 98-sq km gold exploration property located approximately 100 kilometers north of the capital city, Ouagadougou. The project also has a nine year mining lease.

The reverse circulation drill program consisted of 2,914 meters of exploratory drilling. The drill program discovered significant results of gold such as 4.83 grams-per-tonne gold over 20 meters, including 14.51 g/t Au over 6m.

Other results returned 1.61 g/t Au over 10 meters, including 4.11 g/t Au over 2 meters, and 1.89 g/t Au over 8 meters, including 6.54 g/t Au over 2 meters.

Nexus Gold Corp. Vice President of Exploration, Warren Robb said this new discovery is very exciting.

“The intercepts we have encountered from the northeast corner of the property are indicating a broad zone of gold mineralization. The extent of the mineralization is encouraging and certainly requires follow up with diamond drilling. This will allow us to generate better data concerning the nature of the mineralization and the lithologic and structural aspects of the host rocks. The location of the drilling corresponds well with our interpretation of the location of the Sabce shear zone and our ground geochemistry and termite sampling suggest that this mineralization may extend for at least a kilometer to the south west.”

The gold mineralization encountered in the northeast zone consisted of disseminated sulfides, containing pyrite, chalcopyrite, galena, and particles of visible gold. Assays are pending for the remaining six holes and the companysaid it will report those results once they’ve been reviewed and verified.

Nexus Gold Corp. President and CEO Alex Klenman said he’s pleased with the early results at Dakouli.

“The drill program has confirmed widespread mineralization in the northeast zone of the property. Positive results, particularly like those received in hole 7, in this, a relatively small maiden drill program, is both significant and encouraging. And beyond the target areas we tested in this first phase, Dakouli presents a potential district-scale opportunity with numerous targets yet to drill, and a lot of ground still in need of detailed reconnaissance. We like what we’re seeing so far and look forward to the next phase of drilling.”

In late 2018 company geologists conducted a comprehensive ground reconnaissance program to the west and south of the main orpaillage (artisanal zone) and identified new near surface workings being exploited by artisanal miners. Rock samples collected from these new zones contained various concentrations of visible gold, including coarse nuggety samples.

To date, 40 samples have been collected at the Dakouli concession, with 20 returning assay values greater than 1 g/t Au, and 11 assaying greater than 10 g/t Au, with significant values as high as 98.9 g/t Au.

Nexus Gold Corp. has 11 projects in Canada and West Africa. The company’s West African-based portfolio totals five projects encompassing over 750-sq kms of land located on active gold belts and proven mineralized trends, while it’s 100 per cent owned Canadian projects include the McKenzie Gold Project in Red Lake, Ontario; the New Pilot Project, located in British Columbia’s historic Bridge River Mining Camp; and four prospective gold and gold-copper projects in Newfoundland.

Zu viele Shortseller für meinen Geschmack. Hatte ich mal vor längerer Zeit erwähnt. Bisher sind alle Bohrergebnisse verpufft. Kein gutes Zeichen. Klar kann man hier ein wenig Gewinn machen mit der Zeit, aber es gibt genug bessere Invests, aus meiner Sicht. Daher wird morgen mit leichtem Gewinn verkauft.
