Thelon Ventures Ltd enters into joint venture agreement with Triex Minerals Corporation

Thelon Ventures Ltd and Triex Minerals Corporation (TSX.V:TXM), declared on 28 March that they have entered into an option/joint venture agreement under which Triex will be the operator and has the right to acquire an 80% interest in Thelon's Pasfield Lake property subject to conditions.

The Pasfield Lake property, eastern Athabasca Basin, lies some 60km northwest of the Cigar Lake Mine, the second largest high-grade uranium deposit in the world. The property consists of three mineral prospecting permits that cover a total area of 120,257 hectares. Pasfield Lake has long been known for high radon and helium concentrations in spring and creek waters, Thelon said.

Triex can earn an initial 51% joint venture interest in the property by incurring CAD 400,000 of exploration expenditures on or before 1 December 2006, and making two cash payments of CAD25,000 each, the first upon execution of the agreement and the second by 1 December. The company can increase its interest to 60% by incurring a cumulative CAD 1,900,000 of expenditures on or before 30 September 2008; to 70% by spending a cumulative CAD 3,100,000 on or before 30 April 2010; and finally to an 80% interest by spending a cumulative CAD 6,200,000 on or before 30 April 2013.

Das Projekt befindet sich in der Nachbarschaft zur legendären "Cigar Lake Mine" und "McArthur River Mine" von Comeco.

Hohe Helium und Radon Werte im Gewässer könnten ein möglicher Hinweis für eine ähnliche Struktur sein.

sind beide im Langfristdepot.

ich habe mir Thelon schon mal angeschaut.
Im Athabasca Basin sind sehr viele Explorer unterwegs, so dass es auch viele Nachbarn zu den World Class deposits gibt.

Scheinbar hat man sich mit dem Athabasca Basin etwas übernommen, und lässt jetzt Triex reinfarmen.

Wenn Du das Potential am Pasfiel Lake meinst, wäre wohl Triex das bessere Investment..oder ?

Triex hat den grösseren Nutzen (80%), an dem Projekt, ausserdem genug Cash in der Kasse.

Thelon hat ein 2.Uran-Projekt in USA, JV mit EMC. Ausserdem Diamanten-Properties im JV mit Peregrine!

Lac De Gras Exploration update
April 21, 2006,

Thelon Ventures Ltd (Thelon)(TSX.V THV) and Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. ("Peregrine") (TSX-V: PGD) are pleased to provide a mid-winter/spring 2006 program update on exploration activity on their various diamond exploration projects in the Lac de Gras area, NWT, Canada.

Lac de Gras West Project

The Lac de Gras West property, which hosts one known kimberlite consists of 40 mineral claims (84,588 acres) located 15 kilometers southwest of the Ekatitm Mine and 15 to 50 kilometers west of the Diavik Diamond Mine. Peregrine is earning a 100% interest in 18 of the claims from a private prospecting syndicate and 65% in the other 22 claims from Thelon Ventures. Ground geophysical surveys began on March 22nd and have now been completed in advance of drilling. A drill and crew have been mobilized to the property and drilling will commence shortly. Priority targets have been chosen for drill testing and the known kimberlite, DI-02 will also be re-examined during this program.

Lac de Gras East/WO Diamond Project

The Lac de Gras East property comprises 70 mineral claims (168,389.59 acres) surrounding the WO Diamond Project. Peregrine has the option to earn a 100% interest in 46 of these claims from a private prospecting syndicate and an option from Thelon Ventures Ltd. to earn a 65% interest on the remaining 24 claims. Ground geophysical surveys are currently underway on the Lac de Gras East/WO Diamond Project and targets will be chosen from these for drill testing. Drilling will commence immediately after completion of the Lac de Gras West Project.

Peregrine's diamond exploration programs are conducted under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Pell, Vice President Exploration, P. Geo., (BC), P. Geo. (NT/NU), a qualified person under NI 43-101.
