Ist mit der aktuellen Kurssteigerung die Unterbewertung bereits korrigiert oder steht die Aktie erst am Anfang einer Erfolgsgeschichte ?

Die Umsätze sind in den letzten Tagen ja enorm gestiegen. Von nahezu 0 hinzu ca 700.000 Stück pro Tag !

Wo liegt die faire Bewertung der Aktie ?

Wenn man sich den Chart so betrachtet, ist in dieser Aktie wirklich Musik drin .

Mann Sollte sich diese in den nächsten Tag mal genauer anschauen, wenn die Aktie den Widerstand von 12/2001 (ca. 3,5$) nimmt ist der Weg nach oben frei.

Werde mich mal etwas schlauer über diesen Wert hier machen, mal sehen was man so über diese Firma an Informationen findet.

Aber gute 300 % in unter 4 Wochen und das ohne New‘s... Respekt da macht Börse wieder Spaß

Gestern hat diese Aktie relative Stärke gezeigt !

Trotz der schlechten Vorgaben durch den Dow Jones, lag Vocaltec am Ende des Tages mit einem leichten Plus von 0,8 % und für diese Aktie immer noch beachtlichen 230.000 Stück Umsatz deutlich über dem allgemeinen Trend !

Ich bin und bleibe erst mal weiter dabei !

Hat sich irgend jemand die Aktie unter Berücksichtigung anderer Analysemethoden betrachtet ? Waves/Candelstick etc. ?

Die neueste Entwicklung gibt hier wirklich wieder Anlass zu etwas mehr Optimismus.

Einen Nachkauf fasse ich allerdings erst ins Auge, wenn der Trend noch ein paar Tage anhält und die Widerstände
überwunden werden.

Dann werde ich aber auch schnell reagieren, schon um meinen ø-Kaufkurs zu drücken.

VOCALTEC ANNOUNCES FIRST QUARTER RESULTS
Operating loss narrows to lowest levels ever
HERZLIA, Israel, April 30, 2003 - VocalTec Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:VOCL) today reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2003.

Revenues for the first quarter of 2003 were $6.2 million, representing a sequential increase of 154 percent from $2.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2002, and an increase of 85 percent from $3.3 million in the first quarter of 2002.

According to US GAAP, net loss in the first quarter of 2003 was $1.3 million, or $0.11 per share, compared with earnings of $6.5 million, or $0.53 per share in the fourth quarter of 2002 (including gain on the sale of ITXC shares of $7.8 million, a tax benefit of $1.6 million and other income of $165,000), and compared with a net loss of $3.9 million, or $0.32 per share, in the first quarter of 2002 (including a tax benefit of $3.8 million, discontinued operations of $2.4 million and a gain on the sale of ITXC shares of $329,000).

Net loss excluding one-time items (noted above) was $1.3 million, or $0.11 per share, in the first quarter of 2003, compared with $3.1 million or $0.26 per share in the fourth quarter of 2002, and $5.6 million of $0.46 per share in the first quarter of 2002.

Commenting on the quarter, Dr. Elon Ganor, Chairman and CEO of VocalTec, stated,
"Visibility has improved and we believe the worst is over. By revenue increase and stringent controls of operating expenses, we have narrowed our loss to the lowest levels in the company history. Deal size is getting larger and the market is extremely competitive, but we believe we are well-positioned to capitalize on the continued strength of the international long distance market. In addition, with the introduction of our Essentra™ softswitch architecture this quarter, we are expanding our potential market to include the much larger national long distance market, which is expected to grow from 72 billion minutes this year to 390 billion minutes by 2005, according to Probe Research. It is estimated that 30 to 40 percent of these minutes come from emerging and deregulated markets which is our primary area of focus."

Gross margins declined to 53% in the first quarter of 2003, from 59% in the fourth quarter of 2002, reflecting the unusual characteristics of a large deal. This is not expected to be typical of gross margin going forward.

The company continued its stringent expense control. Operating expenses for the quarter remained stable at $4.5 million, compared to $4.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2002 and $7.8 million in the first quarter of 2002. Operating loss in the first quarter of 2003 was $1.2 million compared with $3.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2002, and $5.8 million in the first quarter of 2002.

Cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments were $15.2 million in the first quarter of 2003, compared with $17.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2002. The company believes that this will be above $16 million in the second quarter of 2003.

"Through stringent expense control and strong working capital management, we made significant progress toward reaching breakeven," noted Hugo Goldman, VocalTec`s Chief Financial Officer.

The company also announced separately that Rina Shainski, a member of our Board of Directors notified the company of her resignation from the board in late April since her other responsibilities do not permit her to continue her tenure with the company, and the company is considering candidates to replace Ms. Shainski.

Die Aktie hat diese Woche eine leichte Seitwärtsbewegung begonnen. Charttechnisch völlig normal.

Die Umsätze haben sich auf ca 200.000 St. pro Tag eingependelt. Durch die höheren Kosten pro Aktie
(ca 3,-$) liegt das Volumen also bei ca 600.000 US $ !!!

Vor vier Wochen lag der täglich Handelsumsatz noch bei ca 5000,- US $ !!!

Das Interesse für diese Aktie ist auf breiter Front gestiegen. Jede weitere positive Meldung wird garantiert zu einem erneuten starken Aufwärtstrend führen.

Die Schrottaktien-Rally ist in vollen Gang und Vocaltec ist voll dabei. Telaxis, Handspring, Finisar, Akamai und wie sie alle heißen. Vom Pennystock kurz vor`m Bankrott in den gesicherten 1-4$- Bereich.

Die Dt. Telekom wird`s freuen, haben sie doch ein ordentliches Paket von VOCL. 50$ wurden ja mal bezahlt für die Aktie, inzwischen ist viel Geld verloren und das Tafelsilber (ITXC) verkauft. VOCL ist jetzt klar überbewertet, aber wen stört das schon bei täglich steigenden Kursen?

Den letzten (Käufer) beißen die Hunde!

Die Telekom wird dafür sorgen das Sie wieder über 20$ kommen. Die letzten großen Aufträge kamen eh von denen ,)... und haben auch das Ergebnis in Q3 sehr positiv beeinflußt.

Wir werden sehen wenn Sie über 7,5 $ sind sagen wieder alle ach hät ich doch mal gekauft.
Aktien sind immer relativ teuer oder billig je nach Betrachtung rückwirkend aus der Zukunft ...

so jetzt haben sich die ängstlichen von den mit starken Nerven getrennt und jetzt kann es aufwärts gehen .

wir haben jetzt die Marke von 3,5$ als Unterstützungslinie sollte diese nachhaltig gebrochen werden geht’s unter 2,8$ wenn sie hält geht’s weiter Richtung 7,5$.

Zum Glück hat die Aktien die letzten zwei Tage bei gleich hohen Tagesumsätzen einen leichten Seitwärtstrend eingeschlagen.

Wir wären sonst in einen stark überkauften Bereich gekommen, der wiederum einen starken Kurssturz möglich gemacht hätte.

Ich werde mir zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch ein paar Stück ins Depot legen.

Bin auch der Meinung, dass wir die 9,- € Grenze antesten werden.

Irgendjemand hat da ein ziemlich großes Interesse an einer heftigen und nachhaltigen Steigerung des Aktienkurses.

Wenn man bedenkt, dass die Telekom ihre Finger im Spiel hat, liegt eine entsprechende Vermutung nahe !!!

Außerdem scheint das Thema VoIP in nächster Zeit enorm an Bedeutung zu gewinnen. Cisco macht zur Zeit extrem Werbung mit diesem Thema !

Ich bin auf jeden Fall immer noch positiv gestimmt - und wer weiß, vielleicht ist das wirklich erst der Anfang einer ganzen Branche !? - sowas fängt meistens klein an !

Wenn man den Chart betrachtet sehen wir, das sich VocelTec genau auf dem Widerstand von ca. 3,4$ gefangen hat. Übrigens genau wie Anfang des Monats .

Im Stochastik sieht man einen positive Gegenentwicklung zum letzten Kursverfall.

Beim MACD sind wir noch vom Schnittpunkt entfernt und dennoch im positiven Bereich.

Sollte die 3,3 - 3,5 $ Marke halten werden wir beim anhaltender positiver Marktentwicklung ballt wieder die 7,5$ Marke angehen und Sie diesmal nachhaltig nehmen...

Der Kurs sollte sich kurzfristig so um die 4,0-4,4$ wieder einpendeln.

Z-Tel stock soars on Internet telephony chatter

NEW YORK, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Shares of telephone service provider Z-Tel Technologies Inc. (NasdaqNM:ZTEL - News) shot up nearly 80 percent on Friday after an analyst highlighted the company`s service that sends phone calls over the Internet.

The stock of Z-Tel, which is targeting small businesses with Internet telephony, rose $1.24 to $2.80 on Nasdaq after jumping 97 percent earlier in the session.

Needham & Co. analyst Vik Grover listed Z-Tel in a note to clients on Friday as one company to watch in the emerging industry.

"I think people looked at Z-Tel (because) it was a relatively inexpensive stock," said Grover, who rated the stock a "hold." A recent surge in media coverage of Internet telephony has led some investors to take a gamble on the sector, he said.

Internet telephony is in the limelight partly because the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (News - Websites) is set to begin discussions Monday about whether it should be regulated in the same way as other phone services.

Ironically, the high-profile FCC discussion highlights some of the key challenges to the technology, Grover said.

Privately held Internet telephony provider Vonage recently grabbed headlines after a federal judge barred Minnesota officials from regulating the company. If the FCC takes the opposite approach, companies such as Vonage and Z-Tel could potentially have to pay more taxes.

AT&T Corp. gab in einer Pressemitteilung am Donnerstag bekannt, Internet-gestützte Telefondienste ab dem nächsten Jahr in größeren US-Städten anbieten zu wollen. Damit gesellt sich der größte Anbieter von Ferngesprächen in den USA zu der Schar von lokalen Telekommunikations-Unternehmen, die sich mit VoIP-Diensten gegen den Markteintritt von Kabelbetreibern in den Telefonmarkt wehren.

Einst wegen schlechter Übertragungsqualität in Veruf geraten kommen VoIP-Dienste immer stärker in Mode. Führende Marktforschungsinstitute wie Forrester Research prognostizieren der Internet-Telefonie eine rosige Zukunft. Bis in einem Jahrzehnt werden laut führenden Marktforschern der Großteil der Telefongespräche über Internetverbindungen abgewickelt werden.

AT&T bietet in den USA bereits IP-Telefonie-Dienste an Unternehmen an und möchte diese Dienste ab nächstem Jahr auch für Privatkunden zugänglich machen. FORT LEE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 29, 2004--VocalTec Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:VOCL - News; VocalTec), a leading telecom equipment provider offering packet voice solutions for carriers and service providers, today reported results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2003.

Revenues for the fourth quarter of 2003 were $3.4 million, representing a sequential increase of 6% and an increase of 38% from the fourth quarter of 2002. Net loss was $2.6 million, or $0.21 per share, compared with a net loss of $3.1 million, or $0.26 per share, in the third quarter of 2003, and a net income of $6.5 million, or $0.53 per share in the fourth quarter of 2002. Excluding one-time items ($7.8 million gain on the sale of ITXC shares and a tax adjustment in the amount of $2.0 million), the net loss in the fourth quarter of 2002 was $3.4 million, or $0.28 per share.

Gross margin increased to 54% in the fourth quarter from 42% in the third quarter due to a more favorable mix. Operating expenses decreased to $4.5 million, compared with $4.6 million in the third quarter. The operating loss was $2.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2003, compared with $3.3 million in the third quarter of 2003, and $3.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2002.

Elon Ganor, Chairman and CEO of VocalTec, stated, "Our Q4 results continue to reflect the fact that we are working our way through a transition period. Despite the weakness in overall demand for our H.323 equipment, we added two significant new customers for this solution during the quarter. We are also pursuing a number of opportunities for our new Essentra softswitch solution. We believe our years of experience with VoIP networks is a strong factor in our favor, and we are confident that our decision to shift most of our resources toward the new softswitch initiative is the right one."

"The process is long, but we are making definite progress. During Q4, prospective carrier customers were able to evaluate the Essentra platform by observing it carry live traffic at a customer site. We continue to be in the running for sizable projects with new carrier customers and we are in advanced discussions with existing customers about their network expansion and enhancement needs for 2004."

Net decrease in cash, cash equivalents and short term investments in the fourth quarter was $2.5 million. As of December 31, 2003, the company had $12.2 million in cash, cash equivalents and short term investments.

"Despite going through a market and product transition during the second half of the year, we were able to increase revenues by 20% over last year and achieve a further reduction in our net loss, excluding one-time items. We continue to watch our expenses carefully and manage working capital aggressively," said Hugo Goldman, Chief Financial Officer. "In addition, we are evaluating various alternatives to increase our financial flexibility during the balance of this transition period. Given the size of the potential softswitch deals, a relatively small degree of success can have a dramatic effect on our financial results."

For the year ended December 31, 2003, revenues were $18.7 million compared with $15.6 million for 2002. Net loss was $8.0 million, or $0.65 per share, compared with $8.2 million or $0.68 per share in 2002. Excluding one-time items, net loss for 2003 was $8.1 million or $0.66 per share ($0.1 million gain from discontinued operations), compared with a net loss for 2002 of $18.2 million, or $1.50 per share in 2002 (excluding a $10.2 million gain on the sale of ITXC shares, $2.7 million restructuring costs, $0.9 million of inventory write off, $5.8 million tax benefit and $2.4 million loss from discontinued operations). Operating loss for 2003 was $8.1 million compared with $21.7 million for 2002. Excluding one-time items ($0.9 million inventory write-off and $2.7 million restructuring costs), operating loss was $18.1 million in 2002.

Nummervergabe neu geregelt - Voice-Over-IP Nummer jeweils nur im Ortsnetz

RegTP |Auch wenn rund um Voice-Over-IP und die zugehörigen Geschäftsmodelle noch vieles unklar ist - das Zukunftsthema Internet-Telefonie findet im gesamten Telekommunikationsmarkt viel Beachtung. Zunehmend ruft das Thema in den USA und auch in Deutschland die Regulierungsbehörden auf den Plan.

Die Bonner Regulierungsbehörde für Telekommunikation und Post hat jetzt verfügt, dass Anbieter von Voice-Over-IP Rufnummern nur innerhalb der jeweiligen Ortsnetze vergeben dürfen. Damit soll verhindert werden, dass die Aussagekraft einer Ortsvorwahl völlig an Bedeutung verliert. Bisher boten Voice-Over-IP Anbieter Anschlüsse häufig nur in bestimmten Ortsnetzen an. Ein zweites Ziel der RegTP besteht darin, Überlastungen in bestimmten Ortsnetzen zu verhindern. Für Orts-unabhängige Telefonnummern sollen die 0700-Nummern genutzt werden.

Größere Auswirkungen wird die Verfügung wohl nicht haben - allerdings müssen Voice-Over-IP Anbieter einen größeren Aufwand treiben, um bundesweit und in allen Ortsnetzen Telefonnummern anbieten zu können. Bei der RegTP denkt man nun über die Schaffung einer Nummerngasse speziell für Voice-Over-IP Anschlüsse nach.

Im Vorfeld zu dieser Entscheidung hatte die Behörde verschiedene Anhörungen mit Anbietern durchgeführt.

Der Düsseldorfer Voice-Over-IP Anbieter sipgate ermöglicht kostenlose Nutzung bis Ende des Jahres.

sipgate/teltarif.de |Die Anbieter von Telefonie über das Internet bauen ihre Services aus: Aktuell bietet das Düsseldorfer Unternehmen Indigo Networks, Betreiber von sipgate, einen Anrufbeantworter im Netz.

Da es sich um einen Testbetrieb handelt, ist das Angebot bis Ende des Jahres kostenfrei. Ob danach eine Gebühr berechnet wird, ist nach Aussagen von Tim Mois, Geschäftsführer des Unternehmens, noch nicht entschieden. Möglicherweise werde der Dienst auch dauerhaft kostenfrei bleiben.

Der Anbieter betont jedoch, dass im Rahmen des Testbetriebs noch technische Probleme auftauchen können - man müsse erst herausfinden, wie sich das System unter Last verhalte. Kleinere technische Probleme seien bereits aufgetaucht und behoben worden.

Eine offizielle Pressemitteilung gibt es bisher nicht, allerdings finden sich in einem Artikel des Online-Dienstes teltarif.de nähere Angaben. Demnach soll der Internet-Anrufbeantworter bis zu 25 Nachrichten mit einer Länge von zwei Minuten speichern können. Die Anrufe werden 60 Tage lang gespeichert und dann gelöscht.

Anrufe auch über normale Telefone möglich
Abhören kann man eingegangene Nachrichten auf unterschiedlichen Wegen - über das Internet, ein IP-Telefon oder auch Festnetz-/Mobiltelefone. Man muss also nicht unbedingt den Computer anschalten, um die Nachrichten abzuhören.

Die Verbindung über ein IP-Telefon ist dabei kostenlos, für Anrufe über das Festnetz werden Gebühren fällig. Auch die Speicherung der Tonaufnahmen auf die Festplatte ist möglich.

Nach Eingang von Anrufen auf dem Anrufbeantworter erhält man eine E-Mail oder auch eine SMS, letztere kostet 10 Cent pro Versand. Die Einstellungen sind optional wählbar.

IP-Telefonie bald auch für größere Zielgruppen attraktiv?
Derzeit ist es schwierig, nachprüfbare Nutzerzahlen über den bereich IP-Telefonie zu erhalten. Erreichbar für solche Dienste sind derzeit noch Computer-Fans, die zudem über DSL-Anschlüsse verfügen. Mit einem weiteren Ausbau der Services und einer immer bequemeren Nutzung der IP-Telefonie könnten die Kostenvorteile bald jedoch auch für größere Zielgruppen attraktiv sein.
