morchel, was gibts neues bei 898464 ??

Gas found near Sacramento
A hitherto undiscovered natural gas reservoir has been found near Sacramento, by Fidelis Energy, Inc., the Tucson, Ariz., company says.
Engineers have calculated the first well to be able to provide over 12 million cubic feet per day -- enough natural gas when supplied to a power plant to provide electricity to more than 125,000 homes daily.
With 1,000 acres under lease at the gas field, called the North Franklin Project, Fidelis Energy could drill up to 5 more wells on the property, it says.
The North Franklin Project is located in the Sacramento Basin in southern Sacramento County. It is between the cities of Sacramento and Stockton. The basin is a major gas producing area. In 2002, the region produced 81 billion cubic feet of gas from 83 fields and more than 1,000 producing wells.
California is a net importer of natural gas and cannot produce enough gas to meet daily demand; this discovery could result in the state becoming more self-sufficient, Fidelis says.
http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/stories/2004/06/21/daily3…

New Natural Gas Discovery Made In California
Undiscovered Gas Reservoir Found Near Sacramento
NEW YORK, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- A small Arizona company recently found a large undiscovered supply of natural gas in the state of California - better known for its energy problems than its answers. Fidelis Energy, Inc. located this fossil fuel in the Sacramento basin. Initial tests on this first well show more than 12 million cubic feet of gas each day -- enough gas to provide electricity to more than 125,000 homes on a daily basis. The company is planning to drill up to five more wells on the property.
Clean-burning natural gas is best known for home heating and cooking, but also has many other promising residential and commercial applications, including the supply of electricity. Natural gas currently accounts for nearly a quarter of the total energy consumed in the U.S. and continues to rise. As long as the demand for oil and gas continues, new discoveries like this couldn`t be more timely.

Energy Company Says It Found Natural Gas Site Near Sacramento
Findings Still Need To Be Verified
POSTED: 4:55 pm PDT June 23, 2004
UPDATED: 5:16 pm PDT June 23, 2004
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A small Arizona energy company is boasting about a potentially big find of natural gas that`s located in Sacramento County.
The news is good for California -- a state that uses far more natural gas than it produces.
Geologists from the energy company Fidelis say they searched for two years and found the site 25 miles south of Sacramento next to a field of corn. The test well is located on farmland off Hood-Franklin Road within sight of Interstate 5.
Last week, some motorists saw the test flame, which reached 50 feet high. And a few people mistakenly reported a wildfire.
Engineers say the maximum flow rate from the well is over 12 million cubic feet per day.
"Twelve million cubic feet of natural gas could equate to providing electricity to the power grid to more than 125,000 homes each day," said Fidelis Energy spokesman Mike Garfinkel.
The next step is to drill five more wells nearby.
"This initial well, which is called the Archer-Whitney No. 1 well, we went down 8,000 feet," Garfinkel said.
State officials cannot yet confirm the find.
"The claims will need to be substantiated. We`ll ask to see the data, and, hopefully, we`ll come up with some good news saying here`s additional energy resources for a very energy-hungry state," said California Department of Conservation spokesman Darryl Young
California uses six times more natural gas than it produces, according to officials, using six billion cubic feet a day.

Fall 1: SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2004--Royale Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROYL) has made a new California Natural Gas Discovery at its Andrus Island prospect. This is the first well of the current 11 well drilling schedule. The well was drilled to 9,500 ft. and found 45 ft. of natural gas filled sands in multiple formations.
The well has been completed and tested with a production rate of 1,400 MCF per day. The drilling rig has been moved to the Company`s nearby Duck Slough prospect and has commenced drilling.
Fall 2: DENVER, COLORADO, June 30, 2004. Aspen Exploration Corporation (OTCBB: ASPN), with offices in Bakersfield, California, and Denver, Colorado, has announced successful results from its first four wells drilled in the 2004 drilling season. Aspen anticipates drilling 5 additional wells in the Sacramento Valley gas province of northern California this year.
The WGU #15-8, located in the West Grimes Field, Colusa County, California, was directionally drilled to a depth of 7,750 feet and encountered approximately 60 feet of potential net gas pay in the Forbes Formation. Production casing was run based on very promising mud log and electric log responses. The well will be perforated and tested in early July 2004. This well was drilled based on a recently acquired 10.5 square mile 3-D seismic program located over Aspen’s 5,000 plus leased acres in this field. Ten to fifteen excellent drilling prospects have been identified. The wells in this field produce from multiple Forbes intervals ranging in depth from 6,000 feet to 8,500 feet and have produced over 79 BCF of gas to date. Numerous wells in this immediate area have produced at very prolific flow rates (4,000 MCFPD), have yielded excellent per well reserves (3 to 4 BCF per well), and have long productive well lives. Several of the 10 producing wells that Aspen acquired in this field last year (see prior news releases) have been producing for 40 years. Aspen believes that several of these wells may have additional gas potential in behind-pipe zones, which have not yet been perforated. Aspen has a 21% operated working interest in this field. Drilling will commence on July 1st on the WGU #16-3, the next well in this project.
The Chickohominy #1-12, located in the Winters Gas Field, Yolo County, California, was drilled to a depth of 5,050 feet, and encountered 25 feet of extremely permeable and porous potential gas pay in the Winters Formation. The well was perforated on June 28th, and tested at a stable gas rate of 2,540 MCFPD with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,725 psig. The Chickohominy #1-12 and the Ettl #1-10 are the first 2 wells drilled on a recently acquired farmout package consisting of 6 quality drilling prospects which are leased and defined by 3-D seismic data and well control. These prospects will be drilled during the 2004 – 2005 drilling seasons (4 wells in 2004 and 2 wells in 2005). Aspen has a 28.75% operated working interest in these wells.
Fall 3: Bakersfield, California, February 25, 2004. Tri-Valley Corporation has successfully completed a zone in its Elk Ridge Natural gas exploration prospect some 35 miles northwest of Bakersfield, California. The dry gas is good quality and the Company expects to initially flow the well unstimulated from a tight zone at 350,000 cubic feet per day during the reserve test period. Later, the Company may choose to hydraulically fracture the zone to stimulate increased production. The well bore has additional untested prospective zones up hole.

Quelle:http://www.direct-ir.com/port/fdei/release.asp?numb=68

http://www.direct-ir.com/port/fdei/release.asp?numb=144
http://www.direct-ir.com/port/fdei/release.asp?numb=141

Fidelis Energy Increases Potential Reserves on North Franklin Gas Discovery
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2004 4:01 PM
- PR Newswire
TUCSON, Ariz., Sep 10, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Fidelis Energy, Inc. (FDEI) , an oil and gas company dedicated to developing North America`s energy resources, today announced that the additional acreage announced in the previous news release on Aug 16th, has been added to the Area of Mutual Interest (A.M.I.) at their North Franklin project. The Company has paid in full the cost of the additional acreage that covers approximately 400 acres. With the additional land added to the project there are approximately 1,800 acres now currently under lease.
The new leases cover the pipeline route and more importantly, expands coverage of the underlying Winters` formation, adding to the potential reserves of the North Franklin gas reservoir. Fidelis Energy has paid the pro-rata 35% working interest share of these additional leases.
The North Franklin Project and the underlying newly discovered Winters gas reservoir contains the "Archer-Whitney #1 well." Once connected to the pipeline, Fidelis Energy will be a commercial gas producer, and will be in a positive cash flow situation. A contract with one of California`s natural gas purchasers and pipeline companies has been put in place and pipeline construction is expected to commence shortly.

Meiner Meinug nach die wichtigsten Sätze:
"Once connected to the pipeline, Fidelis Energy will be a commercial gas producer, and will be in a positive cash flow situation. A contract with one of California`s natural gas purchasers and pipeline companies has been put in place and pipeline construction is expected to commence shortly."

a.) Rinderzucht
b.) Straussenfarm
c.) Puff
