About Bombardier Transportation in Asia Pacific
Bombardier's long-standing presence in Asia began more than 50 years ago. Today, more than 3,342 experts are employed across 28 sites in the region. Bombardier's proven expertise is evident in the supply of rolling stock and rail control systems for mass transit and mainline applications throughout Asia, including Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Yongin, New Delhi, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok. The headquarters for Bombardier's rolling stock and rail control solutions regional businesses are located in Bangkok, Thailand. In 1997, Bangkok became the Regional Centre of Expertise for signalling and this year, the site also became the Asian Centre of Engineering for rolling stock. The new office in Malaysia will be the regional Centre of Expertise for system engineering and system integration, specialising in turnkey transit system projects across the region.
