      Canada`s Answer to OPEC

      2006-03-03 11:49 ET - News Release

      RENO, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/03/06

Canada, long known as an energy-rich nation, may be becoming North America`s answer to OPEC, thanks to the growing number of oil companies developing Alberta`s oil-rich sands that are second only to Saudi Arabia in reserves.

Covering an area equal to the landmass of Florida, the oil-rich sands hold 176.1 billion barrels of proven reserves with the richest deposits located in the McMurray Channel. Thursday, Patch International, Inc. (OTC BB: PTII) announced that it acquired a property in the McMurray Channel through a consortium the oil exploration company formed with other junior energy companies while optioning an adjoining property as well. Patch holds a 75 percent interest in the consortium. Shares of Patch rose over 16 percent Thursday on the news.

Patch`s chief executive David Stadnyk said, "This acquisition far exceeds our expectations in terms of acquiring a prime oil sands property in the heart of the producing McMurray Channel." Stadnyk pointed out that the property carries "an estimated 51.28 million barrels of probable and possible recoverable oil in place."

Behind Stadnyk`s company is a line of oil companies already working oil sands in Alberta. Production from 29 companies now operating in the three regions exceeds 1 million barrels of oil per day, most of which is shipped to U.S. markets. Oil sands backers project that production will triple to near 3 million barrels a day by 2015. That would make it the world`s fifth largest crude oil producer.

Canada is already the United States` largest source of foreign oil, providing 18 percent of its current supply. But oil sands promoters see U.S. imports growing.

With the price of oil soaring, U.S. officials have begun taking oil sands tours. Treasury Secretary John Snow visited in July 2005, and congressional staffers and Energy Department officials followed in August.

Cumulatively from 1996 to 2002, about $24 billion was invested in the oil sands industry. Over $70 billion of further investments in oil sands projects have been announced by industry for the period 2003-2020.

Kinder Morgan is among those buying in. It purchased Terasen Inc. for $5.6 billion last year, which owns oil sands pipelines, including one that extends from Alberta to Canada`s West Coast -- and to potential new customers in Asia.

Rick George, CEO of Suncor Energy, took CBS` "60 Minutes" correspondent Bob Simon into his strip mine for a tour last January. Simon asked, "The oil sands look like a very rich, pliable kind of topsoil. Why doesn`t oil come out when squeezed?" George replied, "It may look like topsoil but all it grows is money."

Clive Mather, Shell Canada chief, told Simon, "This is a very, very big resource." Eight times the amount of reserves in Saudi Arabia, "60 Minutes" outlined.

Patch International`s Stadnyk has the same enthusiasm as Mather and George, but his company is the first to form a consortium, creating what may be Canada`s answer to OPEC, the Alberta Petroleum Exporting Companies, or APEC.

While AXcess News coined the term APEC, it aptly describes what Alberta`s oil sands region is and the growing number of companies entering into oil exploration and development there.

VANCOUVER, March 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Patch International Inc. ("PTII") ("Company") is pleased to report that it has renamed the oil sands consortium that PTII is the major partner in to Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership.

Further to its news release of February 27, 2006, Patch wishes to announce that, as a result of discussions with Canadian Oil Sands Trust, it has agreed to change the name of its oil sands consortium (Canadian Oilsands Limited Partnership; General Partner: Canadian Oilsands Limited) in order to avoid conflicting with entities affiliated with Canadian Oil Sands Trust. Patch confirms that its consortium (renamed Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership; General Partner: Patch Oilsands Limited) is in no way affiliated with Canadian Oil Sands Trust.

On March 2, 2006 PTII announced the acquisition of an Alberta oil sands property located just south of Fort McMurray in the area of Leismer, Alberta. The property is located in the McMurray Channel and is in close proximity to major oil sands projects by Petrobank, Encana, Conoco Philips and North American Oil Sands.

On March 14, 2006 PTII announced a 2.5 for 1 forward split of the Company`s common stock. The forward stock split is part of the Company`s ongoing efforts to improve trading liquidity and broaden ownership.

Also eigentlich nicht wirklich toll.

Patch Adds Three Leases to Alberta Oil Sands Portfolio
Monday April 10, 7:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, April 10 /CNW/ - Patch International Inc. (PTCH) (Company) (PTCH: OTCBB) is pleased to announce the acquisition of three oil sands leases in the Athabasca oil sands in Alberta, Canada. The purchase was made by Patch Energy Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Patch International Inc., at the most recently held Alberta Energy Crown Oil Sands Rights Auction.
Patch Energy then subsequently entered into a Letter of Intent to assign these leases to Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership in which Patch Energy has a 75% controlling interest. Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership is managed by Patch Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary, Patch Oilsands Ltd.

The three leases comprise four sections, for a total of 1,024 hectares, as follows:

      - Lease 453, Section 5, Township 78, Range 8W4 - 256 hectares
      - Lease 476, Section 11, Township 78, Range 9W4 - 256 hectares
      - Lease 489, Section 12 and 13, Township 86, Range 25W4 - 512 hectares

Leases 453 and 476 are in close proximity to the Company's existing oil sands interest. Lease 489 is near to the Shell carbonated oil sands lands, which Shell purchased for a reported CAN$465 million.
Commenting on the Company's increased oil sands participation, PTCH Director, John Thornton said:

"This purchase further enhances PTCH's interest in Alberta oil sands held through its controlling interest in Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership. We believe that our direct participation in the auction process and the resultant acquisition of these very strategically located leases has added significant value to our Company."

On March 2, 2006 PTCH announced the acquisition (subject to terms) by Patch Oilsands Limited Partnership of an 80% working interest, in an Alberta oil sands property located just south of Fort McMurray in the area of Leismer, Alberta. The property is located in the McMurray Channel and is in close proximity to major oil sands projects by Petrobank, Encana, Conoco Philips and North American Oil Sands.

AXcess News: Patch Shares Bolt on Oil Sands Drilling Progress Report

Last Update: 9:00 AM ET Feb 26, 2007

NEW YORK, Feb 26, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Shares of Patch International, Inc. PTCH ) bolted Friday, rising nearly 20 percent after the Calgary, Alberta-based oil sands developer issued a progress report showing it was on track to complete a multi-property drilling program that would give it majority ownership in two key locations.
The news followed an announcement earlier this month by TransCanada Corp. that Canada's National Energy Board (NEB) has approved the transfer of a portion of TransCanada's natural gas transmission facilities to TransCanada Keystone Pipeline GP Ltd. The facilities are a key component of the Keystone Pipeline, which will transport crude oil from Alberta to refining centers in the U.S. Midwest.
The proposed Keystone Pipeline is a 2,965-kilometre (1,842-mile) pipeline with a nominal capacity to transport approximately 435,000 barrels per day of crude oil from Alberta to U.S. Midwest markets at Wood River and Patoka, Illinois.
Construction of the Keystone Pipeline is expected to begin in early 2008, with commercial operations scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2009. Those development plans coincide with Patch International's plans of having a 25,000 barrel per day Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage, or SAGD, pilot plant in operation at that time.
Patch, which may be the largest junior oil sands development company in the Alberta province, said Friday it completed 11 of 16 wells on its Dover Oil Sands Project and that on the Firebag Project it was ready to commence drilling. Patch stated that as many as six drill rigs were being added to complete its combined 28 corehole program.
But in the hot oil sands arena of Alberta there's a big demand for drill rigs, though Patch may have an edge. Buried in a January 17 announcement on the second oil sands acquisition by the company was the appointment of Mark Bentsen to the board of directors. Bentsen is the founder of Cathedral Energy Services Trust (CA:CET.UN: news, chart, profile) , whose subsidiary is the largest drilling contractor in SAGD wells in Canada's oil sands arena. According to Cathedral's third-quarter results, revenues increased a record 67 percent, which Bentsen's company attributed largely to the demand for directional drilling.
Cathedral reported third quarter revenue of $38 million, compared to $22.8 million in the same period in 2005. The SAGD driller reported net income in the third quarter of 2006 of $11.3 million, or 36 cents per Trust Unit, compared to $6.1 million, or 21 cents per Trust Unit in the third quarter, 2005 - an 84 percent increase in net income.

News will be released next week (most likely monday). Recent acquisition of oilsands (Kirby by Enerplus) was priced at C$0.83 per 'best estimate' barrel. PTCH has 535 million bbl now and perhaps 4x after drilling and appraisal.

      2.14 billion bbl x .83 = $1,776 200 000 CAD =$1.53 billion US
Market Cap on friday was $63,000 000 US

There is massive potential with this stock...my "pumping" can help us all (need more liquidity in frankfurt). Next week will be fun.

PTCH1.87 is pleased to announce that it has completed its winter drilling, coring and seismic programs and technical staff are fully engaged with the interpretation and integration of the related data. Furthermore, the Corporation also wishes to announce it has fulfilled its earning obligations and now has an 80% working interest in the Dover / Ells property, and 75% working interest in the Firebag property. Overall, the Corporation is very encouraged by the quantity and quality of bitumen intercepted by the core hole drilling program and has commenced planning a comprehensive 2007-2008 exploration program. In addition, the Corporation is preparing an application for a Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage ("SAGD") pilot, in order to bring the most prospective areas closer to commercialization. An independent engineering report update is currently in process and will be completed in the near future.
Despite the earlier than anticipated spring 'break-up', a total of 22 wells were drilled and 60 miles of seismic were acquired. The Corporation took advantage of the advanced planning and preparation to modify the drill order and locations based upon initial results. In so doing, the three primary objectives of the program were accomplished; 1) strengthen the data set in areas indicating thick, high quality oil sands with the greatest potential for early development; 2) evaluate potential on as many undrilled sections as possible; and 3) complete an exploration program to fulfill the earning terms to obtain a majority working interest in Dover / Ells and Firebag properties.
In order to define the resource encountered, the Corporation utilized two specialty high tech well logging tools. In addition to the basic log data suite, the company acquired dipmeter micro-resistivity imaging data, and a Dipole sonic log on almost every well. Collectively, this data allows management to distinguish the high energy channel/paleovalley deposits and for estimating the channel width and paleoflow direction. Although the processing, integration and interpretation of this technology is only in the preliminary stage, the results have aided the evaluation immensely. Other in situ oil sands operators and SAGD producers have documented the application and successes of this technology. This data is being modelled and integrated with the 2D seismic and will have a significant impact in the design of the 2007-2008 winter program.
      Ft. McMurray Oil Sands Area
      ---------------------------
The Ft. McMurray Oil Sands Area oil sands leases consist of Dover / Ells (32 gross sections, 25.6 net sections) and Firebag (18 gross sections, 13.5 net sections). Dover / Ells include three separate parcels, referred to as Dover North (12 gross sections), Ells Central (15 gross sections) and Ells South (5 gross sections). Firebag comprises a single parcel.
Based on early drilling success, activity was concentrated at Dover North with the drilling of 15 new core holes resulting in a total number of 17 core holes on this parcel. Based on the results of this data combined with recent land sale activity and drilling activity on adjacent lands, management believes early indications support the assertion that there is both adequate resource potential and a high probability for commercial development at Dover North.
Drilling at Ells Central consisted of 7 on this parcel. Based on the preliminary oil sands observed in these core holes, management believes there is additional delineation and development potential in the 2007-2008 drilling program. At Ells South, no activity was planned; however, geologic mapping from surrounding core holes plus data from the new program indicates similar oil sands potential as Ells central. The Ells South block is also closest to existing SAGD production.
Evaluation of the Firebag lease was limited due to a late start up. Although unprecedented sand accumulations were found, hydrocarbon migration, lateral and up dip seal, potential late Devonian salt removal and variable fresh formation water issues appear to cloud the bitumen potential. Patch will refocus its attention here once further progress at Dover / Ells is completed.
In addition to drilling activity, the Corporation acquired 60 miles of seismic covering Dover North and Ells Central. Interpretation and integration is required to define and supplement the delineation and development of the Ft. McMurray Oil Sands Area.

"Patch International (OTCBB:PTCH), a small Calgary-based oilsands developer, says it is evaluating several competitive proposals to acquire the company after it began a strategic review in January, reports the Canadian Press. Talks are under way with prospective buyers, Patch said in a release Tuesday. However, there is no assurance a definitive agreement will be reached, the company cautioned. Patch develops underground oilsands deposits northeast of Fort McMurray in northern Alberta. The company trades on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board market in the United States, an electronic quote system for many over-the-counter securities not listed on more senior markets like the TSX, Nasdaq or New York Stock Exchange. The oilsands company last traded at 36.5 cents US."
