Was mich etwas beunruhigt ist, dass durch die heutige Empfehlung Käufer da sind, jedoch der Kurs nicht von der Stelle kommt. Also muss ja bei den großen Umsatz heute irgendwer abladen!

Calgary, Alberta - Questerre Energy Corporation (“Questerre” or the “Company” (TSX, OSE:QEC) announced today its financial and operating results for the first quarter of 2006.
Highlights
· Participated in the drilling of 7 (3.5 net) wells with an 86% success rate
· Established Westlock as a new core area through an agreement to acquire a private company with production and exploration acreage
· Proved commercial production from the Mattson sands at the Beaver River Field
· Commenced seismic acquisition program in the St. Lawrence Lowlands with Talisman Energy
· Tripled production and revenue with positive cash flow from operations
Michael Binnion, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We made great progress on our entire portfolio. Our conventional assets in Alberta grew through our successful drilling program in Vulcan and our agreement to acquire a company with assets in Westlock. We had a breakthrough at Beaver River by establishing commercial production from the Mattson sands. Our seismic program with Talisman commenced in the Lowlands. Based on these successes, we will have a very active drilling program for the remainder of the year. Finally, we are well on our way to meet or exceed our production target for the year. Production for the quarter averaged approximately 300 boe per day and is currently over 500 boe per day.”
For the three months ended March 31, 2006 Questerre reported petroleum and natural gas revenue of $1.16 million up 245% from $0.34 million in 2005. This reflects the increase in average daily production during the quarter to 292 boe per day up from 97 boe per day in 2005. Cash flow from operations in 2006 grew to $0.29 million from a loss of $0.09 million in 2005. The Company’s working capital position at the end of the quarter was $10.3 milion (2005: $0.37 million).

Questerre Announces Successful Oil Well and Commences Vulcan Oil Development

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - June 6, 2006) - Questerre Energy Corporation ("Questerre" or the "Company") (TSX:QEC - News; OSE:QEC) Questerre is pleased to announce that a development drilling program has commenced for the oil leg of the Mannville G Pool in Vulcan. Questerre has a 50% interest in this pool.
The drilling program follows the successful results from the 7-29 well in late May. The well was drilled to assess the productivity of the oil column associated with the gas cap of the G Pool. During clean up, the well produced 125 bbls of 40 API oil per day. Completion and tie-in operations are ongoing with the installation of a downhole pump. Construction has also commenced on a tie-in to a central battery facility. Questerre expects the well will be placed on production in early July.
Questerre also reported on the results from the 13-16 well drilled at the end of the first quarter. The 13-16 well was drilled approximately 2 miles to the south of the 16-29 discovery well. Based on log analysis, the well appears to have encountered the oil water contact for this pool and Questerre believes this likely defines the edge of the oil column to the south. The well is scheduled to be completed in early June to confirm continuity of the primary Mannville horizon as well as test a prospective uphole zone.
The results from the 7-29 well coupled with the preliminary results from the 13-16 well indicate the oil column is significantly larger than originally expected. A total of nine oil locations have been identified for primarily infill drilling during the second and third quarter of 2006. The first well in the oil development program, the 16-20 well, drilled one mile south of the discovery well was recently cased as a successful oil well. Completion operations on this well started recently.

("Transeuro") (TSX-V:TSU - News) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement in principle to amend the Farmout and Operating Agreement (the "Agreement") to allow for a field development program at Beaver River.

Following an analysis of the production results from the A-2 well, both companies have determined that it supports developing the Besa River/Mattson sands as a tight gas resource play. The A-2 well performance has exceeded expectations. It is now producing 2.2 mmcf per day (366 barrels of oil equivalent). This is in excess of the original test rates and is in spite of producing against almost 1,000 psi in the Duke Energy gas pipeline. Assuming gas prices of $5 per mcf, these results meet or exceed the commercial hurdle rates for both companies. Questerre and Transeuro expect that new wells and new completions have the potential to perform even better than A-2 that was recompleted through a 40 year old well bore.
As a result, both companies have agreed to amend the Agreement as follows:
- Transeuro will be recognized as the participating party and Ampac Petroleum Inc. will be released from its obligations under the Agreement
- The requirement for a fourth re-entry to test the commerciality of this play will be dropped from the earning requirements as it is no longer necessary
- The parties will commit to a four well Besa River/Mattson development program and one Nahanni in-fill development well. This program will start in August 2006 and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2007. There will be economies of scale and corresponding cost reductions by committing to a multi-well program, significantly improving the economics. Transeuro will earn 50 percent of all lands and all infrastructure upon completion of one Besa River/Mattson well and the Nahanni well. The following three Besa River/Mattson wells will be joint wells.
