Melkior Has the Options to Earn 50% of Some Troilus Properties From Beaufield
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 24, 2008) -

Melkior Resources Inc. ("Melkior") (TSX VENTURE:MKR) has the option to earn a 50% interest in some Troilus properties in Quebec.

Beaufield Resources Inc. ("Beaufield")(TSX VENTURE:BFD) has staked additional claims on its 100% owned Troilus base metal and gold properties to cover MEGATEM electromagnetic conductors and regional geochemical anomalies. Beaufield now holds 837 claims or 28740 hectares in the Troilus area which include the Moleon and Tortigny base metal deposits. A winter 2008 drill program intersected 12.55 metres 15.0% zinc, 6.02% copper and 145.5 g/t silver (NR April 8, 2008) in a previously undrilled portion of Tortigny. A down hole geophysical program has been completed and followup drilling is scheduled for Winter/Spring 2009.

Beaufield has decided to divide the Troilus area claim blocks into two main groups. The one which is 100% owned by Beaufield contains the Tortigny, Moleon, Crab Lake and Inco Boulder areas and consists of 534 claims or 16,432 hectares. The other group consists mostly of newly staked claims and totals 303 claims or 12,308 hectares. These are referred to as the New groups. To advance exploration of the New groups Beaufield has agreed to permit Melkior Resources Inc. (MKR-TSXV) to earn a 50% interest by spending $500,000 on exploration over a three year period. Of the above amount $250,000 must be spent before June 30, 2009. Beaufield will be the operator. Melkior has advised Beaufield that exploration will begin immediately using Melkior's Quebec flow-thru funds and that the current program will include drilling a total of approximately 1,000 metres on up to 10 geophysical targets on the New groups.

Wie wir von einer verläßlichen Quelle erfahren haben, soll es in Toronto diese Woche eine Transaktion gegeben haben, bei der unter Umgehung der üblichen Märkte eine große Menge Gold (etliche Mio. US$) gehandelt wurde.

Es wurden umgerechnet 1.075 US$ je Unze bezahlt, die Abrechnung erfolgte in Euro. Es kann vermutet werden, daß sich große Finanzinstitutionen für eine neue, teilweise goldgedeckte Währung positionieren.

Die COMEX gerät dabei immer weiter unter Druck und wie John Embry unlängst sagte, ist ein default (Ausfall) nicht mehr auszuschließen. Bemerkenswert auch, daß vor wenigen Monaten ganze 400 t Gold von einer Partei in die Lager der Royal Canadian Mint verbracht wurden.

Die Frage, die sich MIR stellt ist, wie lange sich dieser Wahnsinn noch aufrecht erhalten lässt bzw. die Bürger getäuscht werden können?

Aber, solange man sich ein Obera###loch wie Herrn Ackermann "leistet", der bei der Ausarbeitung des "Rettungspaketes" von 500 Milliarden Euro maßgeblich mit daran beteiligt war, um dann hinterher zu sagen: ""Ich würde mich schämen, wenn wir in der Krise Staatsgeld annehmen würden."

Wichtig ist - was USGOLD angeht - den Aktienkurs IMMER im Zusammenhang und Vergleich mit den ANDEREN Goldminenaktien zu sehen!! ALLE werden nach unten gedroschen (AUCH DIE GRÖSSTEN wie "unsere (UXG) Nachbarn Barrick und NewMount).

Da kommt dann schon die Frage auf, ob bald ein Angebot der US-Regierung kommt mit einem "Rettungspaket" für die Goldminen Gesellsaften einzuspringen, um sie indirekt Stück für Stück in Besitz zu nehmen bzw. DANN im Besitz zu haben, wenn man eine NEUE Währung auf die Basis von Gold stellt. (siehe Meldung oben !!)

Melkior Resources Inc. ("Melkior") (TSX VENTURE: MKR) is pleased to provide an update on its current exploration activities.

Melkior has approximately $4 million available for its ongoing exploration and administration which management considers adequate for approximately two years.

Project Status:

1. McFauld's East Rim - Nickel. The property transaction has been completed and accepted by the regulatory authorities (NR September 25th, 2008). A MEGATEM survey has been interpreted and VTEM follow-up of interpreted bedrock anomalies has been completed.

2. McFauld's West Rim - Nickel. A MEGATEM survey has been completed and interpretation is underway.

3. Timmins West - Gold. Drilling has been completed. Core logging and sampling is underway.

4. Timmins Loveland - Nickel and Gold. An airborne VTEM survey has been organized and flying is anticipated shortly.

5. Geraldton - Gold. An Aeroquest Limited airborne survey has been completed and ground follow-up is underway.

6. Launay - Gold. Drilling has been completed and a complete geologists report has been received. The report is being evaluated.

7. Delta - Kenty - Nickel and PGE. (49% MKR - 51% Xstrata Nickel). No program has been proposed for three years. Data is being evaluated to plan for a future program.

8. Otish - Molybdenum. An airborne magnetometer-spectrometer survey has been completed and data processing is underway by the contractor.

Melkior has benefited from the availability of funds to advance exploration on all of its 100% owned properties. This will keep the properties in good standing for several years.

Melkior plans to concentrate its immediate exploration on the McFaulds' and Timmins area properties. The other properties are considered valuable assets and will be further explored as timing permits.

Melkior Closes Acquisition of McFauld's East Rim Nickel and West Rim Nickel Properties
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 23, 2008) -

Melkior Resources Inc. ("Melkior")(TSX VENTURE:MKR) is pleased to announce the successful closing of the acquisition of a 100% interest in the East Rim Nickel property and of a 50% interest in the West Rim Nickel property. Pursuant to an agreement dated April 9, 2008 as amended on June 2, 2008, the acquisition was made in consideration for a payment of $306,000 in cash and the issuance of 2,500,000 common shares of Melkior.

Melkior closed the transaction immediately upon approval by the TSX Venture Exchange in the light of the time remaining in the current exploration works season.

As previously announced on March 27, 2008 and on May 6, 2008, the East Rim Nickel property consists of 1,355 claim units totalling 21,680 hectares in the McFauld's Lake "Ring of Fire" area of Northern Ontario. The property is subject to a 2% net smelter return royalty, half (1%) of which can be bought back by Melkior for $2,000,000. The East Rim Nickel property is located 30 kilometres northeast of the Noront Discoveries and covers a significant portion of a major gravity anomaly.

The West Rim Nickel property consists of 916 claim units totalling 14,656 hectares. Melkior acquired a 50% interest subject to a 1% net smelter return royalty, half (0.5%) of which can be bought back by Melkior for $1,000,000. The remaining 50% interest is held by Bold Ventures Inc. pursuant to an agreement entered in March 12, 2008. The West Rim Nickel property is 20 km due north of the Noront Double Eagle discovery and covers most of a second significant gravity anomaly within the "Ring of Fire".

Two of the six vendors of the East Rim Nickel and West Rim Nickel properties are related parties of Melkior, namely, Geotest Corporation ("Geotest"), whose president and director is Jens Hansen, also President of Melkior, and Norman Farrell, who is also a director of Melkior. The transaction therefore constituted a "related party transaction" within the meaning of Regulation 61-101 respecting protection of minority security holders in special transactions, which was exempted from the formal evaluation and from the minority approval with regards to the acquisition of the properties, as neither the fair market value of the securities being issued nor the consideration paid, insofar as the transaction involves Mr. Farrell and Geotest, exceeded 25% of Melkior's market capitalization.

Norman Farrell and Geotest have received for their interest in the properties, an amount equal to their respective contribution of the costs for the staking of the properties, namely respectively $25,000 and $85,000, representing approximately 36% of the total purchase price. Neither of them have received any common shares of Melkior with regards to the acquisition of the properties.

The other four vendors are North American Exploration Ltd., Geovector Management Inc., Wade Kornik and Nathalie Hansen.

No finder's fee has been paid with regards to the acquisition of the properties.

Die Finanzkrise hat die Börsen weltweit voll erwischt; die Aktienkurse geben kräftig nach. Anleger stürzen sich deshalb auf die vermeintlich sichere Krisenwährung Gold. Der Preis für das Edelmetall stieg am Nachmittag innerhalb einer Stunde rasant. Laut Experten könnte das erst der Anfang der Rally sein.

HB FRANKFURT. Der Preis für eine Unze Gold kletterte in nur einer Stunde von rund 780 US-Dollar auf über 830 Dollar. Das Londoner Analysehaus GFMS rechnet damit, dass der Preis bis zum Jahresende wieder auf über 950 Dollar ansteigen wird. Zuletzt war der Goldpreis kräftig unter Druck geraten, nachdem er im Frühjahr dieses Jahres kurz über die 1000-Dollar-Marke geklettert war.

Gold gilt als die Krisenwährung schlechthin. Aktien und Anleihen leiden unter Geldentwertung und Finanzkrise - das Edelmetall nicht. Anders als Papiergeld ist Gold nicht beliebig vermehrbar. 160 000 Tonnen Gold wurden bis heute gefördert, 92 000 Tonnen liegen noch in der Erde, nur knapp die Hälfte davon ist mit heutiger Technik überhaupt förderbar. Zudem ist Gold weltweit anerkannt. "Wenn vor Ankunft des Feindes das letzte Schiff den Hafen verlässt, wird der Kapitän Sie für ein Kilo Gold mitnehmen", sagt Investoren-Legende Marc Faber. "Ich bezweifle aber, dass er Derivate, Anleihen oder Papiere etwa von Fannie Mae akzeptieren wird."

GFMS-Chef Philip Klapwijk sieht vor allem die steigende Nachfrage in Asien als Preistreiber. Dazu kommen die Krisenängste und die geringen Förderquoten. In diesem Jahr wird so wenig Gold gefördert werden wie zuletzt 1996.
