kennt eigentlich niemand Emulex? Steigt seit zwei Wochen gnadenlos, habe ich auf Verdacht nach dem Absturz im Frühjahr gekauft bei 65 Euro, jetzt fast das doppelte.
Wer hat genauere Infos über diesen Wert?

Warum sollte man die nicht kennen
Hab sie aber nur auf der Watchlist und leider aus dem Bereich gekauft, die sich aber auch verdoppelt haben (Redback und Sycamore). Die beiden haben mich über den Sommer hinweg vor Verlusten bewahrt.

Wers noch nicht kennt. Emulex traue ich glatt noch eine Verdoppelung zu. Allerdings würde ich einen kleinen Rückgang abwarten. 15% an einem Tag schreien nach Gewinnmitnahmen. Leider ist mein Schotter schon anderwertig vergeben. So ziemlich

Die Tatsache, dass Gewinnmitnahmen ausbleiben oder wie Anfang der Woche recht gering sind, deutet auf eine gewisse Dynamik hin. Kaufen.

Emulex Announces Revised Earnings
COSTA MESA, CA, Aug 25, 2000 (INTERNET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Emulex Corp.

announced that last quarter`s earnings will be revised and will fall short of
previously announced Net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal will be revised
to a loss $0.15 per diluted share, compared with net income of $3.0 million, or

$0.25 per share, due to compliance with generally accepted accounting

Emulex stürzt ab - wegen Falschmeldung?

Der Hersteller von Computer Netzwerkkarten und Hubs verliert momentan 42% seines Wertes, nachdem von The Internet Wire eine Meldung lanciert wurde, der CEO des Unternehmens Paul Folino habe resigniert und sei zurückgetreten. Des weiteren wurde berichtet, daß die Quartalszahlen von einem Gewinn von $0,25 pro Aktie in einen Verlust von $0,15 revidiert werden. Auch die Zahlen der Jahre 1999 und 1998 sollen nach unten korrigiert werden.

Auf der anderen Seite meldet der Dow Jones News Service das Statement eines Unternehmenssprechers, daß diese Pressemitteilung, man werde seine Zahlen revidieren, angeblich eine Falschmeldung sei.

Update: Eine weitere Äußerung der SEC macht die Story um die Revidierung der Quartalszahlen wieder wahrscheinlicher. Die SEC wollte keine Bestätigung in irgendeine Richtung abgeben, da man Gerüchte nicht kommentieren wolle. Eine Pressemitteilung, die SEC habe bereits Unterlagen des Unternehmens angefordert ist anscheinend jedoch falsch. Momentan liegt der Aktienkurs wieder mit über 60% im Minus.
