F5 Networks and NetObjects Combine Product Offerings to Bridge Web Application Development with Content Deployment
SEATTLE and REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2000-- F5 Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:FFIV - news), and NetObjects, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETO - news), today announced a strategic relationship to provide an end-to-end solution for e-Businesses that design, develop, manage, and deploy mission-critical Web content and applications on a global scale.
Using NetObject`s products for Web authoring, content management and application development, and F5 Networks` products to intelligently deploy web content throughout their infrastructure, e-Businesses have an effective way to bridge their application development efforts with their global network deployment needs. Under the agreement, NetObjects and F5 will jointly market their products to customers. F5 Networks, Inc. is the leading provider of Internet traffic and content management (iTCM) products, and NetObjects, Inc., is a leading provider of e-Business solutions and services.
The combined solution will give organizations complete control over the entire authoring, management, and synchronized content deployment process, from personalized content creation to secure deployment across geographically dispersed servers. NetObjects Collage(TM) provides an integrated real-time content platform for the design, development, and management of business-critical, feature-rich Web applications and Web sites. NetObjects Collage(TM) dynamically publishes the applications and content directly to F5 Networks` GLOBAL-SITE(TM) Controller, which gives customers the ability to easily and cost-effectively deploy Web content throughout their global server infrastructure. Additionally, F5`s BIG-IP® Controller is integrated with GLOBAL-SITE to intelligently bring servers in and out of the server farm during the update process.
``e-Businesses need to react accurately and quickly to the market in real-time and often on a global scale, which means no enterprise has the luxury of time,`` said Stephen Lambright, Vice-President of Marketing, NetObjects, Inc. ``By integrating our products, NetObjects and F5 Networks, give enterprise customers a cost-effective, high performance enterprise platform for building scalable and secure Web applications while enabling seamless integration with existing systems.``
``Our alliance with NetObjects creates a robust, end-to-end solution for e-Businesses that need to have complete and tight control of the entire content delivery process -- from publishing to synchronizing content across multiple sites,`` said Marc Goodman, Senior Director of Marketing at F5 Networks. ``The combined solution is a natural fit for enterprises concerned about maintaining the integrity of data and content across all their servers and helps extend the performance, scalability and manageability of their network.``
