Das Unternehmen hatte gestern nachbörslich enttäuschende Quartalszahlen geliefert. Gestern war der Aktienkurs bereits nachbörslich deutlich unter Abgabedruck geraten.

Hinzu kommt, daß die US Investmemtbank Goldman Sachs die Aktien von CHKP heute von der Recommended List (=Strong Buy) streicht.

Goldman Sachs nimmt auch die Aktien von Check Point Software aus der Empfehlungsliste und stuft die Papiere mit Outperform ein. Dies liege an der anhaltenden Kontraktion der Lizenzumsätze und an einer geringeren Visbilität ins vierte Quartal und danach. Ferner sei der Ausblick relativ zu anderen Unternehmen im Internet Security Sektor zu kritisieren, hieß es. Die Analysten senken die Umsatzprognosen für das Jahr 2002 von $430 auf $422 Millionen und die EPS (Gewinn je Aktie) von $1 auf 98 cents. Für 2003 senkt man die Umsatzprognose von $485 auf $447 Millionen Dollar und die EPS Prognose von $1.10 auf $1.01.

Wochenchart. Der Aktienkurs ist an der langfristigen dominanten Abwärtstrendlinie gescheitert. Seit Juli 2002 wurde die Abwärtstrendlinie mehrmals attackiert. Dadurch, daß der Kurs mehrfach an der Trendlinie nach unten abgeprallt ist, wurde diese Trendlinie in ihrer hemmenden Wirkung nun weiter bestätigt!

Aktuell steht der Aktienkurs im Bereich des Supports bei 13,4 $.
