OnLive and Extra Life Offer Free Day of Gaming to Support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals - Seite 2

Extra Life was created by Jeromy 'Doc' Adams, a director at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, in 2008 to honor his friend Victoria Enmon, a 15-year-old Children's Miracle Network Hospitals patient who played video games during her battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Since then, tens-of-thousands of Extra Life participants have raised more than $8 million to benefit 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across North America, mostly by playing video and tabletop games. Sixty-two kids every minute are treated at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, regardless of their family's ability to pay. Many of these kids are facing life-threatening diseases like cancer, cystic fibrosis and injuries from accidents.
