Threadthema verfehlt, setzen sechs!

AGM Information 2006
The Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held on 31st August commencing at 11am at Halliwells, St James's Court, Brown Street, Manchester, M2 2JF

Antonov plc Result of validity case hearing
The Board of Antonov plc announces that the Federal Patent Court in
Munich has not upheld the validity of the German part of Antonov'
patent (EP0414782) against Toyota.
This patent was due to expire in 2009 and covers the use of a
drivetrain which balances the drive from an engine and an electric
motor with the load from a vehicle and a generator.
Antonov will be considering its options in the light of this ruling,
and will make further announcements regarding what action will now be
taken.
Although the Board is disappointed by this decision, legal action was
deemed appropriate by senior legal counsel and minimal costs were
incurred under the German legal system. Provision for these costs
has already been allocated with no revenue attributed to a successful
outcome.
This ruling does not impact upon the Company's other patents
Established programmes continue unaffected, including the commercial
launch of the Supercharger drive and re-planning work for its
programme with Great Wall Motor Company Limited, as reported in its
recent interim results announcement

Ironie an

Antonov plc Largest shareholder agrees new facilities with Antonov
The Board of Antonov plc announces that it has agreed a new ¤4
million facility with its largest shareholder Quivest, based in The
Netherlands, as well as an optional additional facility of a further
¤4 million.
These new facilities provide Antonov with the financial resources to
expand its commercial activities. Including other forms of funding
available to the Company, Antonov now has a total facility of over
¤10 million.
Marius Ritskes, CEO of Quivest, said:
"Despite the unexpected loss of the case at the Federal Patent Cour
in Munich last Friday, we have great confidence in Antonov's patent
and products. Winning this case against Toyota would have brought
additional funds but losing it has no impact on the successful
marketing of Antonov's technology. We have great confidence i
Antonov's products and especially in those not directly connected t
vehicle transmission technology, like the 2 speed Supercharger drive
and the Front End Accessory Drive."
John Moore, CEO of Antonov, said:
"We are very happy with this facility offered to us by Quivest whic
confirms the confidence it has in our company's patents and products
and demonstrates their ongoing support. This facility will enable us
to accelerate the commercial strategy we adopted earlier this year
and successfully convert the opportunities before us. I am confident
of the commercial success of both our existing programmes on the 6
speed automatic and 2 speed supercharger drive and new opportunities
like the Front End Accessory.
I look forward to updating shareholders on our progress in this area

Update on TX6 Status
10 October 2006
Following its announcement on 30 June, the Board of Antonov plc confirms that Antonov has submitted further detailed information to Great Wall Motor Company (“GWM” in relation to the TX6 programme covering key supplier costs, production investment levels and other key information to support its business case. Although Antonov has now met GWM’s requirements, GWM has in the meantime decided to buy proven technology for their first production model.
In parallel with the discussions with GWM, however, Antonov has continued with the production design programme. This work has included design for manufacture and assembly, supplier nomination, detailed cost and investment data. As a result of this work, Antonov now has the benefit of a full production-capable design.
The work was continued on the strength of interest received from a number of other Chinese vehicle manufacturers and Antonov is currently involved in multi-party discussions to finalise a production plan. In addition, the Company has received commitment to the programme from a number of major Tier 1 suppliers, including those for the control unit and the electro-hydraulic system. This is a key step in enabling the programme to proceed to production smoothly.
John Moore, Chief Executive of Antonov, commented:
“Recent design work and a focus on product delivery has enabled the six speed transmission programme to continue unaffected. We now have a secure supply chain in place and are currently reviewing a range of options in order to establish our manufacturing capability. The six speed transmission has been well received by our target market and I will update shareholders in due course.”
