Die Lösungen von Artificial Life setzen an der Stelle des Informationsüberflusses im Irrgarten Internet an. Die jeweiligen Bots können dabei sowohl in einem fest umrissenen Teilbereich eingesetzt werden als auch kombiniert mehrere Felder bearbeiten. Am Beispiel des Alife PortfolioManagers sei einmal die Funktionsweise exemplarisch demonstriert. Die Finanzwelt war in den vergangenen Jahren drastischen Veränderungen unterworfen, die einen für die Anleger widersprüchlichen Charakter haben. Der Portfolio-Manager (PM) soll hier Abhilfe schaffen, indem er aus der Fülle der Nachrichten diejenigen filtert, die für das individuelle Portfolio wichtig sind. Darüber hinaus soll der Bot auch bei der Verwaltung und Optimierung des Depots behilflich sein. Der naheliegendste Vorteil gegenüber den herkömmlichen Bank-Beratern liegt in der Verfügbarkeit rund um die Uhr und unabhängig vom Ort.
Die Optimierung des Portfolios soll vor allem durch die Gestaltung mehrerer Alternativ-Depots geschehen, wobei die jeweilige Wirkung aufgrund von Veränderungen sofort dargestellt wird. Das System kontrolliert auch die jeweilige optimale Leistung des Portfolios, zeigt schlechte Erträge auf und entwirft unter Berücksichtigung des Anlegerprofils verschiedene Optimierungsmodelle. Veränderungen, wie z.B. hinsichtlich des Anlagezeitraums bzw. der Risikotoleranz, sollen automatisch im Portfolio ausgeglichen werden.
Das Web wird vom PM zudem automatisch vollständig nach relevanten Informationen für das Depot abgesucht. Die Suche soll dabei vollständig durchgeführt, neue WebSites, Chat-Rooms und weitere Fundgruben ausgewertet werden. Der Portfolio-Manager filtert und klassifiziert die Informationen.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Bot läuft über die gesprochene Sprache – dabei blickt man einem freundlichen, menschlichen Antlitz entgegen.
Bin ja mal gespannt auf die App und was das Dingen besser kann als die 100 Konkurrenzanwendungen die es schon gibt. Wie will man damit Geld verdienen? Der Aufwand bzgl. Programmierung ist ja nicht gerade gering. Wenn man wie so oft Bugs einbaut und die ersten Bewertungen schlecht ausfallen (siehe Glucomo u.a.) dann wird das Ding ein Ladenhüter. Sobald die App im Android Market ist wirds getestet.

Allerdings hat die Titanic auf ihrer Jungfernfahrt auch noch Zwischenstationen eingelegt, wo noch Passagiere zugestiegen sind, bevor die "Unsinkbare" dann doch den Eisberg rammte.
