The R/S being discussed for AAPM is in and factual..I called NV.
However,my experience with respect to R/S never will give a ROI to shareholders.

Like all R/S we shareholders are always last to see the events..

If the revenue numbers laid out from their January PR hold true, than the postsplit share price of .003 for a market cap of $1.5 makes this issue still undervalued..As I mentioned above,R/S have a negative impact so I am giving another stockpick at this price if you decide to liquidate..

I also feel to let you all know that I have sold out of AAPM and moved into my new pick below.

The company has made 2 acquisitions,but the particulars haven't been given..However,with that said and the share price decline from January's high of .0009, I have come to the conclusion that currently this issue is a buy at .0001 or .0002..You probably won't get filled at .0001 anytime soon, since the waiting factor and number of folks sitting on this puts any new buyers in the .0001 range at the back of the line.Yes there is a fair amount of selling by the company and probably for the purpose of acquisitions,but I feel this too will come to an end and expect within the very near term,more so near,that a turnaround is coming.

I have spoken to IR and many exciting new acquisitions are in the works..These new acquisitions will certainly give this issue a nice bounce from these levels.

I consider the risk to reward ratio at a minimal and is worth the entry at these levels.I feel a triple to quadruple are very achievable.

This issue has been way oversold and is currently as well, undervalued..Behind the scenes there is business being conducted and it's only a matter of time.

Once news hits this will be gaining momentum and folks that were able to acquire at these levels will realize huge gains in the coming days/week.

I have been adding and consider this a strong buy.

Thank you to the couple of folks here that detailed their .0001 and sitting on the wait time.

Your wait time has been my inability in getting filled as well..This is a good sign and I expected this since earlier a few had GTC in on .0001 and no excution.

It appears that .0001 are dried up and this morning we hit a .0002 on the bid and that is absolutely a good sign as well..

After a few weeks of watching and waiting to have the bid move up, it appears we are on a road to highers gains..However,many did receive .0001 shares that will probably hold us here until we can take out most of these players.

I expect news to hit that will send us in the direction like CHNW..

Level II shows MMs dropped price to buy at 0.0002...
Shows trade at old ask (0.0003) with time stamp for the drop to 0.0002 preceeding the next trade at 0.0002. Since there were no trades at the bid to cause the drop in ask, MMs dropped the ask to sell shares at 0.0002. Should go back to 3 soon IMO

We have completed the field-testing of our Visitant Justice Product and we are pleased to announce that Holloway International has ordered the first 20 units of VisiTant Justice for the installation in the offices of their clients. Visitant Justice will replace existing software already installed in the clients of Holloway International. In November we stated that we expected to roll out 30 units per quarter or 10 units a month we now expect that a minimum of 20 units per month can be maintained for the balance of 2007. This is double our original forecast.

Accomplishments:

Our senior management team has made valuable strategic decisions over the course of the last year and we are confident that, with the support and contributions of our shareholders, employees, and partners that 2007 will continue meeting our expectations.

An der New Yorker Wall Street ist einer der größten Fälle von Insider-Betrug der vergangenen Jahrzehnte aufgeflogen. Eine Bande von Bankern und Fondsmanagern habe in großem Stil Geheim-Informationen von Investmentbanken abgezweigt und mit dem Wissen millionenschwere Gewinne an der Börse gemacht, wie die US-Börsenaufsicht SEC am mitteilte. Die Behörde stellte Strafanzeige gegen 14 Beteiligte.

Größter Fall seit Boesky und Levine
Den Beschuldigten, darunter Banker von UBS und Morgan Stanley, drohen für einige der Delikte bis zu 20 Jahre Haft und hohe Geldstrafen. "Das ist einer der größten SEC-Vorgehen gegen Börsenhändler der Wall Street seit den Tagen von Ivan Boesky und Dennis Levine", sagte einer der stellvertretenden Direktoren der Börsenaufsicht, Scott Friestad. Boesky und Levine verbüßten in den 80er Jahren beide langjährige Haftstrafen wegen Insider-Handels. Der Kultfilm "Wall Street" basiert zum Teil auf den Machenschaften von Boesky. In dem Streifen macht Hollywood-Star Michael Douglas als Wall-Street-Händler Gordon Gekko mit betrügerischen Geschäften Millionen.

15 Millionen Dollar eingesackt
Die Bande soll mit ihren Betrügereien laut SEC rund 15 Millionen Dollar (rund 11,4 Millionen Euro) durch Geschäfte im Jahr 2005 illegal eingestrichen haben. Die Fondsmanager und Banker nutzten laut Börsenaufsicht Manhattans berühmte Oyster Bar für konspirative Treffen. Außerdem versuchten sie, mit speziell ausgerüsteten Handys und Geheimcodes ihre Machenschaften zu verschleiern.

Netzwerk aus Informanten
Zu den Beschuldigten gehören unter anderem ein hochrangiger Manager der UBS-Bank, der dort für institutionelle Anleger verantwortlich war. Er sagte den Ermittlungen zufolge anderen Beteiligten im voraus, wann das einflussreiche Bankhaus seine Empfehlungen für den Kauf oder Verkauf einer Aktie heraufstufen oder absenken wollte. Außerdem wurde eine ehemalige Anwältin der Investmentbank Morgan Stanley belangt, die ihrem Mann brisante Tipps weitergegeben haben soll. Dieser habe die Informationen an andere Banden-Mitglieder weitergereicht.

Hedge-Fonds-Manager unter Verdacht
Zu den Beschuldigten gehören auch mehrere Manager und Händler hochspekulativer Hedge Fonds wie etwa Lyford Cay, Q Capital und Chelsey Capital. Hedge Fonds wetten zum Beispiel mit dem Geld ihrer Anleger auf die Entwicklung von Aktienkursen. Immer wieder wird kritisiert, dass Hedge Fonds zu wenig kontrolliert werden. Der neue Wall-Street-Skandal könnte der Debatte über die Fonds neue Nahrung geben.

Lassen Sie sich also nicht durch die Flut von Argumenten, die alle auf den ersten Blick so logisch erscheinen, mitreißen. Geraten Sie nicht in Panik. An den Börsen dürfen Sie „NIE!“ in Panik geraten. Kostolany hatte dazu ein gutes Rezept. Wenn die Börsen in den Panikmodus übergingen pflegte er alle Nachrichten abzustellen und keine Zeitungen zu lesen. Stattdessen ging er in ein Caffee und genehmigte sich dort einen Kuchen. Eine schöne Zeit, um sich von den Anstrengungen der Börse zu erholen. Vielleicht erinnern Sie sich, ich hatte vor zwei Wochen etwas ähnliches geschrieben, als ich sagte, eigentlich wäre das nun genau die richtige Zeit, alles zu verkaufen und in Urlaub zu fahren. Ich hätte es nur tun sollen!

I know we are still expecting a PR and the one I was referring to was to be out this morning..However,I was just informed that they wanted the accountants to finalize on the numbers and make sure it was correct.

They are looking for it tomorrow morning and as well if they get a signoff from the accountants...Don't fret on these minor setbacks..This is a very positive PR.

(1) the companies’ assets,
(2) the companies’ business operations,
(3) the companies’ current financial condition, and/or
(4) financing arrangements involving the issuance of the companies’ shares.

The Commission cautions broker-dealers, shareholders, and prospective purchasers that they should carefully consider the foregoing information along with all other currently available information and any information subsequently issued by the companies.

Further, brokers-dealers should be alert to the fact that, pursuant to Rule 15c2-11 under the Exchange Act, at the termination of the trading suspension, no quotation may be entered unless and until they have strictly complied with all of the provisions of the rule. If any broker-dealer has any questions as to whether or not it has complied with the rule, it should not enter any quotation but immediately contact the staff in the Division of Market Regulation, Office of Interpretation and Guidance, at [phone]. If any broker-dealer is uncertain as to what is required by Rule 15c2-11, it should refrain from entering quotations relating to the securities of the companies listed above until such time as it has familiarized itself with the rule and is certain that all of its provisions have been met. Good Morning,

Just talked with Rich and the halt today was based on the expected news this morning and recent acquisitions.

Management and company attorneys are in contact with SEC officials as we speak on this matter.

The SEC requires additional information on the recent acquisitions and this mornings news had numbers which in terms needed to be made available on how such acquisitions have been acquired..The company feels these details will be resolved and is certain today's halt will be concluded in a satisfactory manner.

Washington, D.C., March 8, 2007 - The Securities and Exchange Commission this morning suspended trading in the securities of 35 companies that have been the subject of recent and repeated spam email campaigns. The trading suspensions - the most ever aimed at spammed companies - were ordered because of questions regarding the adequacy and accuracy of information about the companies.

The trading suspensions are part of a stepped-up SEC effort - code named "Operation Spamalot" - to protect investors from potentially fraudulent spam email hyping small company stocks with phrases like, "Ready to Explode," "Ride the Bull," and "Fast Money." It's estimated that 100 million of these spam messages are sent every week, triggering dramatic spikes in share price and trading volume before the spamming stops and investors lose their money.

"When spam clogs our mailboxes, it's annoying. When it rips off investors, it's illegal and destructive," said SEC Chairman Christopher Cox. "Today's trading suspensions, and actions that will follow, should send a clear message to spammers: the SEC will hold you accountable."

Linda Chatman Thomsen, Director of the SEC's Enforcement Division, said, "Many of these companies are no doubt familiar to anyone who reads their email, because each has been the subject of a spam email campaign. While the Commission cautions investors not to make investment decisions based on anonymous emails they receive, we are also committed to tracking down those who prey on investors with false or misleading information."

Mark K. Schonfeld, Director of the Commission's Northeast Regional Office, said, "By halting trading in these stocks we are seeking to protect investors from further harm. But this is only the first step. Our investigation of the perpetrators - the people behind this misconduct - is continuing."

The securities of each of the 35 companies have been quoted on the Pink Sheets quotations service. Recent trading clearly demonstrates how spam campaigns can affect stock prices and trading volume. For example:

* On Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, shares in Apparel Manufacturing Associates, Inc. (APPM) closed at $.06, with a trading volume of 3,500 shares. After a weekend spam campaign distributed emails proclaiming, "Huge news expected out on APPM, get in before the wire, We're taking it all the way to $1.00," trading volume on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, hit 484,568 shares with the price spiking to over 19 cents a share. Two days later the price climbed to $.45. By Dec. 27, 2006, the price was back down to $.10 on trading volume of 65,350 shares.

* On Dec. 19, 2006, trading in Goldmark Industries, Inc. (GDKI), closed at $.17 on trading volume of 126,286 shares. On Dec. 20, 2006, the spam campaign started, with e-mail proclaiming "GDKI IS MAKING EVERYONE BANK!," and setting a 5-day price target of $2. By Dec. 28, 2006, spam emails boasted of the price spike that had already been achieved -- "$.28 (Up 152% in 2 days!!!)" -- and promised a 5-day price target of $1. That same day, GDKI closed at $.35 on a volume of more than 5 million shares. By January 9, 2007, the closing share price was back down to $.15.

* A spam campaign in Healtheuniverse, Inc. (HLUN) stock began on Sept. 4, 2006, with emails incorporating a Healtheuniverse press release proclaiming that HLUN was "focused on being the first to commercialize stem cell applications in the $15 billion worldwide plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery market." On Sept. 7, 2006, HLUN closed at $.12 per share on trading volume of 3,000 shares. The spam campaign accelerated, and HLUN shares spiked to $.22 per share on Sept. 11, 2006, with over 2.2 million shares trading hands. By Sept. 22, 2006, the closing price had dropped back down to $.11.

The trading suspensions will last for ten business days. The trading suspensions commenced today at 9:30 a.m., EDT, and terminate at 11:59 p.m., EDT, on March 21, 2007.

Why The SEC Can't Stop Spam

The federal government made headlines on Thursday by cracking down on dozens of penny stocks whose prices had been manipulated by mass e-mailers.

But while the Securities and Exchange Commission made a splash by unveiling "Operation Spamalot", it is unlikely to end spam. In the face of increased enforcement, warnings and federal laws, spam is not only continuing, but flourishing. And there's no reason to think the SEC will be able to do anything to stop it.

The SEC's anti-spam team identified 35 stocks that had seen their shares rise after spam campaigns, according to Linda Chatman Thomsen, director of the SEC's Enforcement Division. Stock spam is simply a high-tech version of the classic pump and dump scheme: Promoters send millions of e-mail messages at a time promoting "can't miss" stock tips. Enough recipients inexplicably buy in, the price soars and then the spammers sell off their shares at the top of bubble.

The SEC's move to suspend trading on the 35 stocks is overdue, according to security experts. "People in the technology industry have been impatient to see some action from the SEC," says Patrick Peterson, vice president of technology at e-mail security company Ironport.

Stock spam has been around as long as the e-mail and the Web, but it has gotten much worse in the last few years. Stock spam messages rose 120% in the last six months, according to data from Postini, a messaging security company. In total, stock-related messages make up about 20% of all spam landing in in-boxes. The SEC estimates that 100 million stock spam messages are sent each week.

Don't expect it to diminish anytime soon. Technology has increased spammers' ability to send junk e-mail, and they are taking advantage of it. Spammers used to send all their messages from one computer, making them easily blocked by spam filters. Today, spammers increasingly send their messages through linked networks of computers that they control, called botnets. The extra bandwidth allows them to send out billions of messages and embed the promotional text in bigger image files.

The so-called image spam looks identical to normal spam but sneaks by many anti-spam programs, which just looks at text, not pictures or photos. "There's not just more spam being sent but for people that aren't properly protected, there are more messages getting through," says Postini executive vice president Daniel Druker.

There's another reason spam won't go away: It works. A 2006 study by Purdue University assistant professor of finance Laura Frieder and Law professor Jonathan Zittrain from Oxford University's Internet Institute concluded that stock spam moves markets. The researchers found that the average investor who buys a stock when it's heavily touted, and sells after the spam promotion ends, loses about 5.5% of their investment. But the spammer who buys before the spam onslaught and sells during the campaign makes a 5.79% return.

The National Association of Securities Dealers, a securities industry self-regulatory group, frequently posts alerts warning investors to look out for certain types of spam messages, to little avail. "It's like you're seeing a dollar bill in a dark alley and getting hit over the head when you go in to get it," says Cromwell Coulson chief executive of Pink Sheets, which provides financial services and electronic quotes for over the counter stocks.

That doesn't mean Coulson ignores the men carrying the sticks. Coulson says as soon as his company can verify a spam complaint, Pink Sheets blocks trading on the stock on its site. The 35 stocks suspended by the SEC today won't be back on Pink Sheets once the 10-day suspension is over. "These things will get the skull and cross-bones," he says.

Coulson wants the SEC to take further action. In April, Pink Sheets proposed a new SEC rule mandating that stock promoters disclose their identities, funding and financial relationships with other companies. "There is nothing wrong with promotion--but if you are doing promotion and then dumping, that's a big problem," says Coulson.

It is also lucrative. According to the SEC, on Dec. 15, shares in Apparel Manufacturing Associates closed at 6 cents. After a four-day spam campaign, the price spiked to over 45 cents a share. By Dec. 27, it fell back down to 10 cents.

Similarly, shares of Goldmark Industries, trading at 17 cents on Dec. 19, rose to 35 cents a week later because of spam. By Jan. 9, the shares were down to 15 cents. "Thus far in this investigation we estimate that investor losses on these 35 stocks alone are in the tens of millions of dollars," said Mark Schonfeld director of the SEC's northeast regional office.

But evidence of the SEC's limited reach is in your in-box. Spam messages pushing shares of small companies NutriOne, Las Vegas Central Reservations and Cambridge Resources spread over the Internet on Thursday with messages advising recipients to "watch it like a hawk" and "500% profit guaranteed."

Nach einer Flut von Spam-E-Mails mit irreführenden Angaben hat die US-Börsenaufsicht den Handel mit den Aktien von 35 Kleinunternehmen ausgesetzt. Der Schritt solle Investoren davor bewahren, aufgrund falscher Angaben in den Werbe-Emails Anteile der betroffenen Firmen zu kaufen, teilte die Aufsichtsbehörde SEC am Donnerstag mit.


100 Millionen pro Woche

Jede Woche würden etwa 100 Millionen solcher E-Mails verschickt, die "dramatische Anstiege im Aktienwert und im Handelsvolumen" auslösten, wobei viele Anleger ihr Geld verlören. Die SEC kündigte an, verstärkt gegen solche unlauteren Methoden vorzugehen. Das Projekt trage den Namen "Operation Spamelot".

Mindestens zehn Tage Pause

Den Angaben zufolge soll eine Untersuchung klären, wer hinter dem massenhaften Versand solcher E-Mails steht. Die Nachrichten enthielten oft unwahre Angaben über neu entdeckte Vorkommen an Bodenschätzen oder die Neuentwicklung viel versprechender Produkte. Von der Handelsaussetzung betroffen sind Firmen wie etwa America Asia Petroleum Corp., Equitable Mining Corp. und Koko Petroleum Corp. Die Anteile sollen mindestens zehn Tage lang nicht mehr gehandelt werden.

Aktien-Spam ist aber nicht nur in den USA weit verbreitet. Auch in Deutschland haben in den vergangenen Wochen solche Spam-E-Mails für großes Aufsehen gesorgt. Dubiose Spammer verschickten unter anderem Millionen E-Mails, in denen sie die Empfänger dazu aufforderten, sich mit Aktien der Artstor AG einzudecken. Die Folge: Innerhalb von vier Tagen stieg der Aktienkurs an der Frankfurter Börse von 3,8 Cent auf 25 Cent an und hat sich damit in der kurzen Zeit mehr als versechsfacht. Konsequenzen sind aus dem Vorfall bislang noch nicht gezogen worden.

Hello Mr. Daly. I am an investor in CIVX (one of the micro companies placed on your list for suspected email spamming). According to a website that tracks email spamming (SpamNation) CIVX had 5 emails sent which is a much smaller number than most of the companies on the list (GDKI.PK had 3945 email spams and many of the companies were in the hundreds). 6 of the companies on your list were not even in the SpamNation database which means to me that they had zero email spams to their credit. It is my understanding that individuals, unrelated to the companies spammed, often initiate email spamming. Why is the SEC going after companies such as CIVX where spamming was minimal and, most likely, occurred without company involvement? I seems to me that the SEC is using these small companies to draw public attention away from larger problems such as naked short selling and crooked market makers and brokers which the SEC appears to ignore. It would be nice to see the SEC pursue the bigger fish (naked short sellers and crooked market makers and brokers) who do much more damage to our markets than individuals sending out a few spamming emails. Good Afternoon,

After looking into this farce by the SEC on the suspension of CIVX and other issues because of the so called "Operation Spamalot" is completely BS in my opinion.

The Markets have a very huge problem with NSS and this topic has been addressed in all venues accept the SEC that continuous to look the other way..This agency is totally blinded by the obvious and is continuing in denial..They have stated months ago that NSS doesn't exist,but now or recently with much publicity and articles on this very issue, the SEC is caught not only with not doing anything about this problem,but has completely looked the other way while investors are being fleeced.They continue to deny that it exists in the open,but internally knows there is a problem,but can't seem to reel in the same folks that they are in bed with..The DTCC is culpable and many of their board of directors are former CEOs and folks in the know within the financial community that like things just the way they are..

So what does the SEC do.. They setup a bogus sting called "Operation Spamalot" to divert the attention on NSS to an issue that doesn't even involve the same companies that they halted..These companies are victim to the very sloppy, dishonest agency that was created to protect shareholders..The third party spam culprits that operated out of boiler-rooms are at fault,not the companies..These are the fuckin people they should go after.

Folks, this is a cover-up for NSS...We have become victims by the SEC that can't control their cronies to comply, so they just halt a company so shorty don't have to cover and hopes this will resolve the problem that has been going on for so long while they have looked the other way.

We will resume trading on the 22nd IMO..Since our issue is trading at .0002 it shouldn't have too much of a setback..The company however needs to address this issue to us shareholders and at the time of resumed trading, have strong press release on the PR that we were to expect last Thursday.

CIVX isn't at fault on this bogus issue,but it does have a problem with respect to NSS and for the issue to be halted may be a positive if only to keep shorty at bay.. The company can counter with a strong press release to offset this negative event.

The company has many irons in the fire and Thursday we were to get a very positive release that involves an acquisition with already revenue generating business model.

Another issue that needs to be address on this halt is the way transactions on acquisitions is being conducted..The first press release on the halt was their first reason and many of these companies have not provided in great detail on the 411 or what type of equity financing packages that are involved to acquire these acquisitions..It is this issue that CIVX and other companies that were halted will have to address this and they grouped it into a bogus spam operation that probably does exist,but I can't find that to be a problem with CIVX..However the NSS issue appears in my opinion to be a greater threat to the SEC and how they just ignored the problem for so long.

CIVX management has been busy in dealing with this halt the moment it happened and is complying with SEC to get this problem corrected.

Good Afternoon,

Yesterday I made a post that was very critical on the SEC with regards to their "Operation Spamalot" and felt that it was a ruse to take away from the attention of the NSS issue.

Now I'm going to take the opposite position and maybe just maybe this sting is actually to target the NSS issue.

Just think for a minute..Operation Spamalot could be a good cover to dig deeper on the issue of Naked Shorted Shares and the manipulation by market makers and hedgefunds who basically have their prints all over this problem.

Last Thursday an unprecedented halt on 35 companies just before the open of the trading session commenced..One has to think that the excuse used for this halt and sting was called "Operation Spamalot"..I have looked into the spam charge by the SEC and cannot find much proof that spamming to any degree would have halted so many companies to warrant such a halt..Actually, CIVX doesn't have any indication that an abusive spam campaign actually existed to any great degree..Other companies have similar indicators as well.No real issues with spamming..

So I asked myself what would the real reason be to halt 35 companies?

My first thought came to me before anything was the issue on NSS..I do know that CIVX and AAPM have a problem with NSS and I bet many of the other companies have similar problems..We know there is much attention being given on this subject matter and we also know that from various articles that the SEC has looked the other way and even dispelled the notion that NSS actually exists..Could it be that the attention by the news media finally has hit home..We also know that this matter has taken on a whole new meaning in Washington by Congress..

To halt 35 companies is really a big deal..One can only imagine the number of shareholders and their investment dollars being effected by just a simple spam operation that really hasn't anything to do with the companies in question, just doesn't make sense..This halt has to be bigger than just some frivolous infraction like spamming.I can understand the out cry and I bet the SEC even though in the past have shown their stupidly may have wanted this and planned on attacking through actual concerted effort in really getting down on how wide spread this NSS is and used these companies as NSS models.

Could they have some plan in fretting out and compiling data and finally addressing this issue.

Something to think about...35 companies halted,hundreds of shareholders effected,thousands of dollars involved and angry emails to the SEC on just "Operation Spamalot" I don't think so..Something deeper is going on here..Just another opinion.

Ich kann mir nich vorstellen das irgendwas im Argen liegt.

Meiner Meinung nach ist diese Handelsaussetzung ein "Versehen".
Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen das, nachdem der Handel wieder aufgenommen ist, irgendwas kommt. Zwar nicht sofort danach aber in Naher Zukunft rechne ich durchaus wieder mit einem Spike in Richtung 0,0005 - 0,0007 wie ende Januar...

Nur Meine Meinung.

Online stock fraud swells as brokerage losses mount

Mar 20, 2007 (Omaha World-Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Business News via COMTEX) -- In 68 minutes on Sept. 1, Jaisankar Marimuthu made $4,000 trading a stock that, when he started buying, was worth barely more than half a cent a share.
At its high price that day, the stock in CTR Investments & Consulting Inc. was priced at 1.3 cents per share; Marimuthu sold at 1 cent.

That wasn't Marimuthu's lowest-priced buy in a six-month fling of "pump and dump" trading that has him charged with criminal fraud and facing, as well, a civil suit brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The low-price leader in his portfolio was Pacel Corp., a security software company that Marimuthu bought at $.0002 -- two one-hundredths of a cent -- per share and sold at the same price for no gain.

Of the 14 companies in which Marimuthu and two co-defendants traded, only one had a stock worth more than $6 a share, and four, including the sub-penny stocks, were worth less than $1.

The exception was Google Inc. Its stock was selling at $427.50 at the time, but the charges against the three men dealt not in the stock itself but in "put" options on the stock that they bought at the equivalent of 5 cents per Google share.

Fraudulent online trading in low-priced, usually lightly traded securities has been around for several years, but reports of it have exploded in recent months. The SEC has brought three civil suits since December.

Besides a civil suit, a federal criminal indictment against Marimuthu and two other citizens of India was unsealed in U.S. District Court in Omaha on March 12.

Shawn Henry, a deputy assistant director of the FBI, said losses in such scams totaled in the "tens of millions of dollars" in the last year.

"The reality is these frauds really just suddenly emerged," said John Stark, chief of the SEC's office of Internet enforcement, referring to the last months of 2006.

"I don't know how large the problem is," Stark said. "It's still too early."

Just two online brokers reported more than $22 million in losses in three months last year.

E*Trade disclosed last fall that it spent $18 million in the July-September quarter to reimburse clients who had lost money through fraudulent trading in their accounts. To point out that it had not been hit as hard, TD Ameritrade, based in Omaha, then said it had spent $4.2 million in that period to cover its customers' fraud losses.

Neither company would say what they have spent since then, with E*Trade explaining that it had reported the $18 million because it was more than the company had budgeted for fraud losses. Losses since then are within budgeted amounts, the company said, and as such need not be reported on its public financial statements.

E*Trade spokeswoman Pam Erickson said, though, that her company's fraud losses had been "dramatically reduced." TD Ameritrade wouldn't say whether losses had increased or decreased.

Marimuthu and co-defendants Chockalingam Ramanathan and Thirugnanam Ramanathan cleared $121,000 from July through November, and their fraudulent trading cost nine brokerage firms $875,000, according to the SEC lawsuit against them.

An SEC suit brought earlier this month in federal court in Washington said similar online fraud had cost brokerages $2 million.

Piling up those kinds of numbers takes a concerted effort by online thieves, Stark said. Profits from each individual transaction may not be large, and it takes repeat efforts to make tens of thousands of dollars. "We haven't seen anybody make a million dollars in one fell swoop."

As for why the boom in fraud occurred when it did, John Gannon of the National Association of Securities Dealers said that while there is no way to know for certain, the fraud surge coincides with a stock market that until recently was doing "fairly well."

A rising market usually brings on pump-and-dump attempts, he said, a technique in which traders buy shares of a stock to pump up its value and then sell, or dump, shares as the price rises.

In the case brought in federal court in Omaha, fingers were pointed at the account-holders themselves as the reason why their online accounts were hijacked and used to pump up stock prices for the defendants' benefit.

Henry said account-holders lost their usernames and passwords. No breaches were found in the brokerage networks themselves, he said.

Gannon said some, if not all, of the account-holders had visited Bangkok, Thailand, where some of the defendants did their own trading and allegedly attacked the victims' accounts.

The trading was traced to computers with addresses there and in Chennai, India, the suits say.

Authorities warn that using public computers or even your own laptop on a wireless network in a cafe, for example, is risky. Public computers can contain spyware that can capture usernames, passwords and other personal information, and wireless networks can be intercepted.

Henry said six of the FBI's 60 overseas offices aided the investigation by local authorities.

Marimuthu and Thirugnanam Ramanathan were arrested in Hong Kong, and proceedings to bring them to Omaha to face charges have begun. Chockalingam Ramanathan, who had been living in Malaysia, was still at large Monday.

So wie ich das nun verstehe, aber mir noch nicht sicher bin, sind die Unternehmen gesperrt worden, die von diesem Mariutu und Consorten gespamt wurden.

Damit dann gehackte Accounts nicht missbraucht werden können, wurden die Aktien alle gesperrt.


Für uns kann es somit normal weitergehen.
Schnatzi, ich bin investiert hier und warte auf einen Hype. Jetz rauszugehen, lohnt sich wahrschinlich nicht für mich, außer es kommt mir eine andere vielversprechendere Aktie unter die Finger.

Just spoke to IR Rich Kaiser and provided me with this current standing.

The suspension on trading from the United States Securities and Exchange
Commission was lifted late Wednesday night, 11:59PM ET. The Company is
waiting now for the official trading date from the NASD.

Most don't realize that it's a two part issue to get re-trading, the first,
of course was resolved with the USSEC and the second is in process with the
NASD.

Good Morning,

Many are asking what is going on with CIVX.

I spoke to IR this morning.

The procedure to move from the grays is based on acceptance to the pinks that is currently in process..The company has filed the necessary 15c in order for acceptance..The process is now in the of the regulatory agency..

This acceptance as we already know can take time or come any day..The process is out of our control,but as noted the company wasn't in the wrong and it is unfortunate that we got halted,but it is the way it is.

The latest acquisition hasn't changed and the company feels sending out PRs on this and other important matters as long as we are on the grays is not to the best interest or money well spent.

We will be back on the higher exchange and patience is the best course and I remain optimistic that it will get resolved sooner than later.

Hi UW,

The trades you see on the grays are actually matching trades...All or most trades on the grays are generally matching trades...The need for buyers and sellers are the guiding force..I figure most folks are in a holding mode and considering this is the bottom,very little loss at this point so they hold and wait.

The company is waiting on a market maker or makers to pick them up..The approval is out of their hands..The proper 15c has been filed and until the process has taken hold, we can only wait..

Once we get back to the higher exchange the new acquisition will give us a market cap of about $10 million and that equates into a share price of around .003 -.005.This pr was to come the day of the halt,but understandingly was pulled,but still according to the company a done deal on restricted shares.

Wenn ich mich zurück erinnere, dann hat Varok 1-2 Tage vor der Handelsaussetzung von einer großen News gesprochen.

Am Tag als sie spätestens kommen sollte, wurden die 35 Unternehmen gesperrt.

Müssen jetzt geduldig warten und uns freuen, wenn der Handel wieder an den Pinksheets fortgestzt wird.Wenn dann noch ein egute News dazukommt, dann hat sich das warten gelohnt.

Spoke with Jerry Janik this morning..

The 15c has been submitted and was told that the Nasdaq will have it this week.The company already has a market maker.

This current 15c was a very detailed about 200 documents submitted outlining the complete A-Z business model of the company,a process that was more involved than previous.

Prior to the halt, the company was traded as an unofficial pinksheet and will now be known as a piggyback concern.

He also stated they have much news to report to shareholders and as I mentioned before, sending out PRs while on the grays serves no purpose.

We will be back and trade as a stronger issue..

Spoke with Jerry Janik the CEO this morning.

Everything is still looking very positive..The 15c-211 has been submitted and is currently under review..This process is out of his hands and he was told that the work load on submission is the highest yet from many companies that have submitted their documents.

May will be the best month yet in terms of revenue and the company has added many new employees on their brokerage side.

Once we get back to trading, the company has lots of exciting news to release and feels releasing this info under the grays serves no purpose..I concur with that.

Just passing information on.

Remember those 35 companies?...
The ones that had their trading halted along with CIVX. I did a little reading and found that quite of few of the 35 publicly denied having anything to do with the email spamming that they were charged with. Just saw this new pr from another company that just came out. Wonder how long until this company is halted also? Someone plays pretty rough games, it seems. Here is the pr...
