Independent Non-Executive Director bei Macmin Silver seit 2002

Age 63. He has over 40 years of professional experience in senior positions in the mining industry and in government, and has worked widely in Australia, as well as in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. He was Director General of the NSW Department of Mineral Resources from 1993 to 1997 and has been Managing Director of Malachite Resources since leaving that position. His exploration expertise covers a wide variety of geological setting and deposit types, and he has played a key role in the discovery of several major ore deposits, including Northparkes (copper-gold) and Lake Cowal (gold) in New South Wales, and Paddington (gold) and Wodgina (tantalum) in Western Australia.

Since early 1997 he has also been a Director of Straits Resources Limited, a listed mining company involved in coal mining in Indonesia, the development of the Whim Creek copper mine in WA and a number of other advanced projects likely to go to production in the near future. He was Chairman of Straits from 1997 until the company moved its headquarters to Perth in late 2000.

Dr Lowder is a graduate of the University of Sydney (B.Sc. Hons 1), the University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D) and the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He brings to the Company high level management expertise and a track record of prior exploration success.

es gab tatsächlich eine art empfehlung der zeitschrift "aktionär".
malachite wurde im zusammenhang mit kupfer erwähnt.

Mache mir mal die Mühe und tippe für Euch den Text. Also für diese Aktie darf man bei diesen Meldungen im Aktionär mal die Werbetrommel rühren.

Habe für 0,168 gekauft war auch noch akzeptabel.

Aber ich glaube nach der Empfehlung gestern werden wir heute im grünen liegen. Diese Aktie hat enormes potenzial und ist durchaus für kurzfristige Sprünge gut.

genau. ich denke auch , dass da was im hintergrund läuft . die jetzige situation erinnert mich stark an NIA vor etwa 3 wochen .die umsätze in down under sind plötzlich angestiegen . ich wollte besonders cool sein und anstatt für 0,144 nur für 0,142 nachlegen
( 0,002 cent !!! ) . einen tag später war Trading Halt jetzt ist der kurs bei 60 cent .
ich wünsche mir das es hier auch so wird .

So Aktionäre heute wieder ein sehr sehr freundlicher Tag für Malachite Aktionäre. Wieder über 3 % im Plus. Ich denke es geht so Tag für Tag weiter.

Wir sollten hier nun auch mehr Volumen bekommen, wenn man hingegen sieht was da in Australien los ist.

Aber ich bin mit der Entwicklung sehr zufrieden und das war noch lange lange nicht das Ende der Fahnenstange.

Kursziel lag laut Aktionär bei 0,45 Wenn ich es richtig in Erinnerung habe. Das wären noch immer über 100 %! Also das einsteigen lohnt sich in jedem Fall!

Rohstoff-Experte Evy Hambro im Interview mit FundResearch über günstige KGVs und den Superzyklus. Hambro arbeitet bei BlackRock Merrill Lynch Investment Managers und betreut dort den World Mining Fund (WKN 986932).

In den vergangenen Wochen sind Rohstoffaktien ebenso wie Ihr Fonds stark unter die Räder gekommen. Ist das Ende des Rohstoff-Booms nun eingeleitet?

Nein. Die Kursrückgänge waren eine Reaktion auf die US-Hypothekenkrise. Es wurde viel Liquidität vom Markt abgezogen. Von dieser Verkaufswelle wurden auch Bergbauaktien erfasst.

Sind Minenaktien nach den kräftigen Kursgewinnen in den vergangenen Jahren nicht einfach zu hoch bewertet?

Die großen Bergbauunternehmen notieren derzeit mit einem Kurs/Gewinn-Verhältnis von unter zehn. Da kann man wirklich nicht von einer zu hohen Bewertung sprechen. Zudem hat sich an den langfristig guten Fundamentaldaten des Minensektors nichts geändert.

Was spricht denn für die Branche?

Da gibt es eine ganze Reihe von positiven Faktoren.
Erstens übersteigt die Nachfrage nach Massenrohstoffen wie Eisenerz und Heizkohle weiterhin die Erwartungen. Die Analysten haben daher ihre Prognosen für 2007 und 2008 zuletzt deutlich angehoben. Gleichzeitig kühlen sich die Währungen der Rohstoffländer ab, was Druck von den Betriebskosten der Minengesellschaften nimmt.

Gelten die positiven Bedingungen auch für den Goldsektor?

Ja. Im zweiten Quartal ist die Goldnachfrage gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 19 Prozent gestiegen. Allein die indische Schmuckindustrie hat 89 Prozent mehr geordert als im Vorjahr. In China stieg die Nachfrage um 32 Prozent. Gleichzeitig ist aber das Angebot im zweiten Quartal um sieben Prozent gesunken. Angesichts der gestiegenen Rohstoffnotierungen müssten die Unternehmen ihre Produktion doch stark ausweiten, was dann wieder auf den Preis drücken sollte. Das geschieht aber nicht. Denn die Art und Weise, wie Rohstoffunternehmen gemanagt werden, hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren dramatisch verändert. In früheren Bullenmärkten wurde zu stark in neue Kapazitäten investiert und so das Ende eines Zyklus heraufbeschworen. Dies ist heute anders.

Weshalb?

Es gibt derzeit eine Reihe von Hemmnissen für die Suche nach neuen Förderstätten. Es existiert weltweit eine Knappheit an geeigneten Arbeitskräften, die Wartezeiten für Ausrüstungen und Anlagen sind lang, viele Projekte sind schlecht, und die Kosten explodieren. Die Überschüsse werden heute daher lieber für Aktienrückkäufe, Sonderdividenden und Übernahmen ausgegeben.

Sie sprechen von einem Superzyklus für die Rohstoffe. Wie lang wird dieser Zyklus denn noch anhalten?

Das exakte Datum kann ich nicht prophezeien. Erst wenn wie zu Zeiten des Internet-Booms grenzenloser Optimismus herrscht, sollte man vorsichtig werden.
Davon sind wir bei Rohstoffaktien aber noch weit entfernt.

ich kann dir natürlich nicht den ganzen Report übersetzen. Die wesentliche Aussage besteht darin, daß Malachite mit der Mine möglichst schnell in Produktion gehen möchte anstatt sich auf die Ausweitung der Resourcen mit Fokus auf eine lange Minenlaufzeit zu konzentrieren. Aber die Bohrungen werden natürlich dennoch fortgesetzt.

• CMDD50 is the best hole drilled at Conrad so far, with a silver equivalent1
grade in the King Conrad Lode of 5,600g/t AgEQ.

Malachite Resources NL (ASX: MAR) advises that assay results for a further two holes drilled recently at Conrad have been received. The results for both holes are encouraging, with drill
hole CMDD50 in particular providing a spectacular intersection, the best to date at Conrad.
Speaking about the results, Managing Director, Garry Lowder, said:
“These results show just how much metal can be packed into the lodes at Conrad. A cubic metre of ore like the CMDD50 lode intersection would contain nearly $10,000 worth of metal at today’s prices.
It would take a grade of more than 4 ounces of gold
per tonne for a cubic metre of gold-bearing quartz reef to hold as much metal value.”



Importantly, the high silver assays are accompanied by excellent base metal and indium results. With lead currently worth more than zinc and the high prices being quoted for copper,tin and indium, the CMDD50 results strongly support the Company’s view that significantamounts of very high grade mineralisation like that mined in the past at the Conrad Mine
remain to be extracted in the future.

Dr Lowder added:

“The CMDD50 intersection is shallow and surrounded by existing underground development, so it would be a great place to begin mining. They say grade is king and it looks like ‘King Conrad’ will live up to its name for us.”

Assays for five holes remain outstanding and the Company is on track for release of an initial resource estimate for Conrad in November. The last hole in the Phase 1 program, CMDD56,
which intersected mineralisation similar to that in CMDD50, has been preserved whole specifically for metallurgical test work and will not be assayed until that work is carried out.

Full details of the latest results are set out in Tables 1 and 2 below and Figure 1 shows the location of drill holes in the Phase 1 program, including CMDD49 and -50, which are highlighted.

Volga Copper Drilling Commenced

HIGHLIGHTS
· Drilling has commenced at the Company’s copper projects near Mt Isa in northwest Queensland.
· High grade massive sulphide lodes and coarse grained, disseminated copper mineralisation are being targeted.
· Initial drilling is at the Volga Prospect.
· The rig will move on to drill at Mt Lidster next month.

Malachite advises that drilling has commenced at its copper projects located northeast of Mount Isa in northwest Queensland (Fig. 1). At least 2,000m of diamond drilling is scheduled to take place at Volga Elderberry and Mt Lidster before the end of 2007.

The initial target comprises high grade, massive sulphide lodes at the Volga Prospect, where the best intersection in earlier drilling was 13.8m @ 2.9% Cu and 0.5g/t Au (including 2.5m @ 11.9% Cu and 1.9g/t Au) and a recent geophysical survey has identified a series of anomalous electrical conductors. Separate, coarse to very coarse grained, disseminated chalcopyrite mineralisation in calc-silicate host rock (Fig. 2) will also be targeted. The geological setting at Volga is thought to be analogous to that of Ernest Henry and other iron-oxide copper-gold deposits in the region.

Next month the rig will relocate to Mt Lidster, where previous drilling by the Company has intersected very encouraging copper mineralisation, including 18m @ 2.4% Cu (including 2m @ 9.8% Cu). This mineralisation is associated with a well defined linear structure which is variably mineralised with massive copper sulphide and copper-bearing quartz. Recent geophysical surveying has outlined several discrete electrical conductors both within and outside of this structure and these will also be targeted in the forthcoming drilling.

MALACHITE TO ISSUE UP TO

20 MILLION SHARES IN PLACEMENT

Malachite Resources NL (“MAR”) is pleased to announce that, subject to shareholder
approval, it proposes to issue up 20,000,000 ordinary fully paid shares in a Placement to
raise funds for the Company’s various exploration projects.
An Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) will be held on Friday 14 December 2007 to allow
shareholders the opportunity to consider, and if thought fit, to approve the Placement.
The Placement will be effected at an issue price which may be at a discount to market. The
discount will be no more than 20% to the volume weighted price of the Company’s shares for
the 5 trading days prior to the date of the meeting. Based on the closing price of the
Company’s shares on Thursday, 15 November 2007 of 39 cents the Placement will raise in
the order of $6 - 7.5 million.
The allottees will be institutional, professional, sophisticated or foreign investors to be
identified by the Directors of the Company in association with Cartesian Capital Pty Limited.
Funds raised from Placement will be used to advance the Company’s various exploration
projects including:
o further drilling and economic evaluation at the Company’s Conrad Silver Project in
north eastern NSW where the Company recently announced that the first estimate of
mineral resources of about 10.4 million ounces of silver equivalent had been
completed. Drilling at Conrad is expected to resume in January 2008 and a second
diamond drill rig will be added a month or so later. Together these rigs should
complete the second phase of resource delineation, involving 6,000-7,000m of drilling,
by mid year. Most of the new drilling is expected to be concentrated at the
southeastern end of the system, near the Davis Shaft, but a number of holes will be
drilled beneath the central part of the old workings to confirm depth continuity for long
term mine life. The objective of this additional drilling is to increase the resource base
to a level sufficient to support re-opening of the Conrad mine;
o further surface exploration and drilling to be carried out at Volga Elderberry and Mt
Lidster Copper Projects near Mt Isa in Queensland;
o further exploration and evaluation of the Company’s other projects, including at
Tooloom Gold and Elsmore Tin, both in northern NSW;
o and to provide working capital.

Malachite also has excellent exposure to tin, through its ELSMORE Project, near Inverell in northern NSW. The
Company is considering the possible development of a small open pit tin-tungsten mine at one or more of several

VOLGA COPPER PROJECT UPDATE

Malachite Resources NL (ASX: MAR) advises that drilling at the Volga Copper Project has
been suspended after completion of four holes due to unsatisfactory performance by the
drilling contractor. Volga is located about 70km northeast of Mount Isa in northwest
Queensland.
After 39 days of diamond core drilling the contractor had completed just four holes for a total
of 580m, at an average of only 7.5m per available shift. For comparison, another contractor
achieved about 35m per shift for diamond core drilling at Volga on a previous occasion. The
poor performance by the contractor meant that drilling costs were unacceptably high. A
decision has therefore been taken to cancel the contract and suspend further drilling until
2008, when a new contractor has been lined up to re-commence drilling at Volga and to drill at
Mt Lidster.
Three of the four new holes completed at Volga have intersected copper mineralisation. More
details of these intersections will be provided once assays results have been received.
The deferment of the current program is disappointing but the Company is confident that the
existing mid 2008 decision points in the Volga and Mt Lidster exploration programs will still be
met.

MALACHITE PLACEMENT
TO RAISE UP TO $5.7 MILLION


Malachite Resources NL (“MAR”) is pleased to announce that, subject to shareholder
approval, it has successfully raised $5.7 million through a Placement of up to 19 million ordinary fully paid shares at an issue price of 30 cents.
The Placement has been arranged by Cartesian Capital Pty Limited with qualifying investors
under Section 708 of the Corporations Act.
Participants in the Placement will also receive one 31 August 2008 Option exercisable at 20
cents (MAROA) for every three shares subscribed for in the Placement.
The Placement requires shareholder approval which is to be considered at an Extraordinary
General Meeting (“EGM”) to be held later today. Notice of the EGM was despatched to all
shareholders of the Company on 16 November 2007.
Subject to shareholder approval at today’s meeting, the Placement will be completed and
shares and options will be allotted next Tuesday 18 December 2007.
The new capital will be used primarily to fund further resource delineation drilling and
economic assessment at the Company’s Conrad Silver Project, located near Inverell in
northern NSW. Drilling by Malachite at Conrad to date has defined a resource containing
10.4 million silver equivalent ounces, which is about 40% of what the Company believes will
be necessary to support reopening of the Conrad Mine: refer ASX Announcement – First

Drilling at Conrad planned for the first half of 2008 is expected to provide the required
additional resources and to lead on to feasibility studies and development later in 2008 and
into 2009. In parallel with the drilling, the Company will continue and expand its metallurgical
and mining scoping studies with a view to accelerating redevelopment of the mine. Funds
will also be applied to ongoing exploration of sub-parallel mineralised structures elsewhere
on the Conrad tenements.
The Company is very encouraged by the results of recent geological mapping and geochemical sampling along these structures and it believes that some of them are likely to
add significantly to the regional Conrad resource inventory in the years ahead.
