Probe Mines to Acquire 100% Interest in Black Creek Chromite Deposit and Dissolve Joint Venture Agreement With Noront Resources

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Aug 09, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
The Directors of Probe Mines Limited (TSX VENTURE: PRB) ("Probe") are pleased to announce that Probe and Noront Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: NOT) ("Noront") have come to an agreement to dissolve the current joint venture agreement in the Ring of Fire, James Bay Lowlands and divide the joint venture claims between the two companies. As part of the agreement, Probe will acquire a 100% interest in the Black Creek chromite deposit and another claim along the chromite trend, while Noront will acquire a 100% interest in claims surrounding their Eagle's Nest nickel deposit and north of their Thunderbird vanadium deposit.

"We see this as a very positive step for Probe in the Ring of Fire", stated Dr. David Palmer, President of Probe. "With 100% ownership Probe can now focus its attention on the Black Creek chromite discovery, where plans to resume drilling operations designed to extend the massive chromite zone at depth and along strike are currently underway. We expect mobilization of crews to begin within the next two weeks."

Concurrent with drilling on the Black Creek chromite, additional ground survey work will be conducted on the Company's Tamarack and Victory projects in order to evaluate existing targets for follow-up drilling.

Under the terms of the agreement Noront and Probe will each acquire a 100% undivided interest in their respective claims. No cash or share payments will be made as part of the agreement, being a straight transfer of interests in the mineral properties.

Nochmal zum Nachlesen: President´s Message vom 2. Juli:

      President's Message

      July 2, 2010

      Dear Shareholders,

Probe has commenced this season's exploration schedule with its most aggressive program yet.

This year will be the first where all four McFauld's Lake projects - the Probe-Noront JV, Tamarack, Victory and McFauld's West - will see work programs during the same season. We have begun work with ground geophysical surveys on the Probe-Noront JV; geochemical programs on Tamarack and Victory properties; an airborne survey over the McFauld's West property; and drilling is expected to commence on the Probe-Noront JV in early July.

Owing to the logistics involved with this remote area and frequent periods of inactivity while waiting for results, the Company acquired the Cree Lake and Borden Lake gold properties, which are new, easily accessible, grass-roots projects that will allow us to remain active and generate news between programs at McFauld's. Geophysics have been flown over the properties and the first phase of drilling on each was completed the last week of June, 2010.

Micon is in the final stages of conducting a 43-101 resource estimate on our Black Creek chromite discovery. They have considerable experience in both resource estimation and the Ring of Fire chromite deposits and we look forward to their insight and recommendations on Black Creek.

With the continuing spotlight on McFauld's Lake as Cliff's Natural Resources continues to develop its interest in the area, the Black Creek property could prove to be highly strategic. With its location directly between the Black Thor and Big Daddy chromite discoveries, Black Creek is located on the only high solid ground in an area where most of the ground is muskeg. As such, it could be very important for the future placement of infrastructure and operations as the chromite resources are developed further.

With over $5 million in the treasury, the Company is financially strong and able to meet the demands of our exploration requirements as well as taking advantage of any new opportunities that may arise.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank our shareholders for their support and participation as we go forward with a very exciting exploration season.

      Sincerely,

      David Palmer, Ph.D., P.Geo.

It was wonderful to have a chance to talk to her. At least there was some verification from the right source regarding progress of the west timmins option. It appears that LSG(as I feared) had tried to stall and deceive at the same time by drilling at a spot which is not related to our side and tried to claim otherwise and did not do any drilling at the very important alteration zone as Dave wanted them to. Right now, they are on extended notice under prb,s watch. As far as royalty from agneco-eagle is concered:they appeared to have discovered more gold on our royalty land and is due to report to prb soon as well as revealing to them a date regarding drilling notice to our side.Furthermore, prb,s 100% owned gold property near by is looking really exciting right now. They had found very decent grades of gold near a large surface according to grab sample and they anticipate to discover higher grade of gold under deeper level. All in all,we should be receiving onging good news throughout the summer and beyond.

I wish all shareholders a good summer and be patient.

Mantis announces drilling to begin on Cree Lake gold discovery, Swayze Belt, Ontario

TORONTO, Jun 15, 2010 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) --

Mantis Mineral Corp. ("Mantis" -CNSX: MYN) is pleased to announce that the summer drill program on its Cree Lake gold project in the Swayze Belt of Northern Ontario will commence in approximately one week. The property was recently optioned by Probe Mines Limited ("Probe" -TSX-V: PRB) who is also the operator.

Highlights of the Cree Lake Gold Project

The Cree Lake Gold Project is host to a new gold zone discovered by Mantis in 2009 and is characterized by thick, near surface, drill intersections of up to 15.5 metres averaging 2.05g/t Au. This style of mineralization is not typical of the Swayze Belt and represents excellent potential for the delineation of a near-surface, large tonnage, low-grade gold deposit. Follow-up trenching conducted by Mantis immediately west of hole CL09-6 exposed a 50-meter length of intermittent quartz veining and shearing over a 10-meter width. Grab samples within this zone yielded significant gold values ranging from 0.61g/t to 43.2 g/t, with an average of 6.47 g/t.

The property is situated along the Ridout deformation zone, a 130-kilometer long structure that hosts past producers such as the Jerome, Tyrranite and Kenty Mines, as well as numerous gold showings. The area has received recent attention with the identification of thick intervals of gold mineralization by Trelawney Mining on its Chester Gold Project, located approximately 60 kilometres southeast along strike in the Swayze Belt. Probe can earn up to a 70% interest in the property from Mantis Mineral Corp.

Drilling will be comprised of six holes designed to test the new gold zone near surface and at depth along a 150 metre strike length and is expected to take approximately one week. Results of the drilling will be announced as soon as they are received.

      Probe Mines Provides Exploration Update

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Jun 08, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

The Directors of Probe Mines Limited (TSX VENTURE: PRB) ("Probe") are pleased to provide an exploration update on the Company's projects in the McFauld's Lake area of Northern Ontario and Borden Lake area near Chapleau, Ontario.

      - A VTEM airborne geophysical surveys have been completed over Probe's 100%-owned McFauld's West project located approximately four kilometres north of the Eagle's Nest nickel deposit. Results are pending.

      - The SQUID ground geophysical survey is progressing on the Probe-Noront Joint Venture ("JV") ground approximately 400m north of Eagle's Nest and is expected to be completed at the end of June.

      - A VTEM airborne geophysical survey has been completed over the Borden Lake Gold project. Preliminary results have been received and indicate a number of electromagnetic anomalies, one of which is spatially associated with surface gold mineralization.

      - Ground geophysical work utilizing an induced polarization ("IP") survey has commenced on the Borden Lake claims targeting the surface gold mineralization.

      - The Company is currently in negotiations with a drilling contractor and is planning to begin drilling programs on its projects in approximately two weeks.

      - More details of the geophysical surveys and planned drilling will be announced as results are received and schedules are confirmed.

      McFauld's Lake

A VTEM electromagnetic-magnetic ("EM") survey, comprising 214 line kilometres, has been completed over the Company's 100%-owned McFauld's West property located approximately four kilometres north of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper deposit. The property covers magnetic anomalies situated along the projected extension of structures interpreted to be the conduits for the ultramafic magma responsible for the deposition of nickel-bearing massive sulphides. When received, results of the survey will be used to evaluate the property for potential nickel-copper massive sulphide targets which will be tested by follow-up drilling.

A geophysical survey has commenced on the Probe-Noront joint venture claims situated approximately 400 metres north of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper deposit. The property is being surveyed using a large-loop Crone system equipped with a SQUID B-Field sensor and is being run in conjunction with Noront as part of a larger survey covering the entire Eagle's Nest area. The large loop-SQUID system has been used effectively in the Raglan area of Quebec to identify small, nickel-copper massive sulphide bodies at depths below 100m. Once results are received Probe is planning to begin a drill program to test anomalies identified by the SQUID survey as well as previously identified ZTEM airborne, Insight chargeability, magnetic and geochemical targets on the property. The program is expected to commence in early July.

      Borden Lake Gold Project

A VTEM airborne EM-magnetic survey, comprising 225 line kilometres, has recently been completed over the Borden Lake property. Preliminary results indicate a number of anomalies on the property, the most interesting of which consists of a 700 metre-long conductor located just south of the gold mineralization identified in outcrop. It is hoped that the EM anomaly has a genetic association with gold-mineralized outcrop and therefore implications for increased strike length, width and grade of gold mineralization. A ground geophysical grid is currently being established over both the mineralized area and the VTEM target and will be surveyed by IP. The program is expected to be completed towards the end of June. Results will be used to evaluate the relationship between gold-bearing outcrop and airborne anomalies. The airborne conductor lies along a horizon containing two other similar conductors which suggests the potential for an extensive mineralized zone. Drilling is expected to commence once final results for the airborne and ground surveys have been evaluated.

Probe Mines Provides Update on McFauld's Lake Exploration

TORONTO, ONTARIO, May 19, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

The Directors of Probe Mines Limited (TSX VENTURE: PRB) ("Probe") are pleased to provide an exploration update on its Ring of Fire properties in the McFauld's Lake area of Northern Ontario. The first phase of work, to be completed during June 2010, includes a ground geophysical survey on claims adjacent to the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper deposit, which form part of the Probe-Noront Resources ("Noront") joint venture; soil geochemical surveys on the Tamarack and Victory Projects; and an airborne geophysical survey of the McFaulds West property. All of the above work programs are in preparation for summer drilling programs scheduled to commence once results have been received and evaluated. Probe currently has a drill in its McFauld's Camp which will be used for shallow (less than 500m) drilling and has access to rigs capable of deeper (greater than 500m) drilling.

      Ground Geophysical Survey

Line cutting has begun on the Probe-Noront joint venture claims, situated approximately 400 metres north of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper deposit, in preparation for large-loop geophysical surveys utilizing a Crone system equipped with a SQUID B-Field sensor. The survey is being run in conjunction with Noront and is part of a larger survey covering the entire Eagle's Nest area. The large loop-SQUID system has been used effectively in the Raglan area of Quebec to identify small, nickel-copper massive sulphide bodies at depths below 100m. No estimate is available at this time for the completion of the survey, however, more details will be announced as the survey progresses. As soon as results are received Probe is planning to begin a drill program to test anomalies identified by the current survey as well as previously identified ZTEM airborne, Insight chargeability, magnetic and geochemical targets on the property.

      Soil Geochemical Programs

Concurrent with the June 8th site visit by Micon on the Company's Black Creek chromite deposit (see news release dated May 18, 2010), crews will be mobilizing to the 100%-owned Tamarack and Victory projects to commence soil sampling programs. The surveys will target geophysical anomalies associated with the copper-rich A-Zone VMS discovery on Tamarack and numerous conductors proximal to an ultramafic unit identified in previous drilling on the Victory project. The surveys are designed to prioritize conductors for follow-up drilling, expected to commence in July, depending on results of the geochemical programs. The surveys will utilize the Soil Gas Hydrocarbon (SGH) technique which has been shown to be effective in discriminating base metal sulphide targets below cover.

      Airborne Geophysical Survey

A VTEM electromagnetic-magnetic survey has been contracted to Geotech Ltd. to cover the Company's 100%-owned McFauld's West property located approximately four kilometres north of the Eagle's Nest nickel-copper deposit. The property was staked in 2008 and covers magnetic anomalies along the projected extension of structures interpreted to be the conduits for the ultramafic magma responsible for the deposition of nickel-bearing massive sulphides. The VTEM survey represents the first exploration conducted on this property and will be used to locate potential massive sulphide conductors. The survey is expected to commence shortly.

Dr. David Palmer, President of Probe Mines, states "We are eager to begin work in the McFauld's Lake area and would like to reassure investors that these projects remain the Company's priority and we will be aggressively exploring them during the 2010 season. In fact, this year will be the first where all four projects will see work programs during the same season. Owing to the logistics involved with this remote area and frequent periods of inactivity while waiting for results, the Company has acquired a number of new, easily accessible, grass-roots projects that will allow us to remain active and generate news between programs at McFauld's. It is felt that these new projects offer significant potential to add Shareholder value in Probe in addition to our work in the Ring of Fire."
