BLACKBIRD ENERGY INC. startet ambitioniertes Bohrprogramm mit mehreren Löchern zur Erkundung der oberen und mittleren Montney-Formation und erhöht das Volumen der Finanzierung ohne Brokerbeteiligung
7. Oktober 2014 - Calgary, Alberta (TSX-V: BBI) Blackbird Energy Inc. („Blackbird“ oder das „Unternehmen“) freut sich bekannt zu geben, dass im Bereich der oberen und mittleren Montney-Formation ein ambitioniertes, aus mehreren Löchern bestehendes Bohrprogramm initiiert wird. Die erste Bohrung, für die Blackbird eine Lizenz erhalten hat, konzentriert sich auf die mittlere Montney-Formation bei Elmworth (100 %-Beteiligung). Das erste Loch wird von einem Aufschlagspunkt an der Oberfläche (14-14-70-07W6) ausgehend vertikal bis in eine Tiefe von rund 2.330 Meter gebohrt. Die seitliche Länge beträgt 2.000 Meter bis zum Standort 6-26-70-07W6. Mit der Bohrung soll spätestens am 1. November 2014 begonnen werden.
Die zweite Aufschlussbohrung (100 %-Beteiligung), für die Blackbird derzeit um eine Genehmigung ansucht, soll den Bereich der oberen Montney-Formation erkunden. Dieses Loch wird von derselben Bohrplattform aus gebohrt wie das Loch zur Erkundung der mittleren Montney-Formation (14-14-70-07W6) und soll eine vertikale Tiefe von rund 2.330 Meter bzw. eine seitliche Länge von rund 2.000 Meter erreichen.
Blackbird hat das Bohrprogramm so konzipiert, dass die beiden Löcher unmittelbar hintereinander im November und Dezember gebohrt und gemeinsam im Januar 2015 abgeschlossen werden.
Garth Braun, President und CEO von Blackbird, erklärte: „Blackbird will mit seinem Mehrloch-Bohrprogramm die Ressourcen in beiden Montney-Anteilen - der oberen und mittleren Formation - abgrenzen, wobei zur Kosten-Nutzen-Optimierung ein Back-to-Back-Verfahren zur Anwendung kommen wird. Blackbird erwartet sich von diesem Verfahren umfangreiche Kosteneinsparungen und kann so die bereits solide Bilanz nach Abschluss der aktuellen Finanzierung weiter verbessern.“
Erhöhung des Finanzierungsvolumens und Vergabe von Optionen
Blackbird gibt außerdem bekannt, dass die bereits angekündigte Privatplatzierung von speziellen Warrants ohne Brokerbeteiligung (die „Privatplatzierung ohne Brokerbeteiligung“) auf 24.827.587 spezielle Warrants zum Preis von 0,29 $ pro speziellem Warrant erhöht wird. Der Bruttoerlös beläuft sich in diesem Fall auf rund 7,20 Mio. $.
Wie bereits am 22. September 2014 angekündigt, wurde Herr Kevin Andrus als unabhängiges Mitglied in das Board of Directors von Blackbird aufgenommen. Herr Andrus ist bei GMT Capital Corp., einem privaten Investmentunternehmen mit Sitz in Atlanta, Georgia als Portfoliomanager für energiebezogene Investments tätig. Als Absolvent des Master of Business Administration-Programms der Regis University ist Herr Andrus auch ein konzessionierter Finanzanalyst, der in den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten für verschiedene Investment-Management-Gesellschaften gearbeitet hat. Herr Andrus ist darüber hinaus auch Board-Mitglied von DeeThree Exploration Ltd. Blackbird hat Herrn Andrus als Leistungsanreiz 750.000 Aktienoptionen gewährt. Solche Optionen können innerhalb eines Zeitraums von fünf Jahren bis zum 7. Oktober 2019 zu einem Preis von 0,34 $ ausgeübt werden.

Die Kasse ist jetzt gut gefüllt und es haben sich hochkarätige Investmenthäuser an der Finanzierung beteiligt , die sogar erweitert wurde !

In connection with Blackbird Energy Inc.'s previously announced offering of special warrants and flow-through common shares on a bought-deal private-placement basis, Blackbird, and the syndicate of underwriters led by National Bank Financial Inc., and including Raymond James Ltd., Haywood Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., Cormark Securities Inc. and Jennings Capital Inc., have agreed to increase the size of the offering to an aggregate of 15.9 million common shares to be issued on a flow-through basis in respect of Canadian exploration expenses at a price of 34 cents per flow-through share. The size of the previously announced offering of special warrants remains unchanged at 86,207,000 special warrants. Aggregate gross proceeds of the special warrants and flow-through shares will now be approximately $30.4-million.
Blackbird is also pleased to announce an increase to the previously announced non-brokered private placement of special warrants to 24,138,000 special warrants at a price of 29 cents per special warrant for gross proceeds of approximately $7.0-million.
The financings are scheduled to close on or about Oct. 15, 2014, and are subject to certain conditions including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and other securities regulator authorities as applicable.

Blackbird Energy Inc. has executed a strategic infrastructure memorandum of understanding with Mistral Energy Inc. to pursue the development of a gas gathering system and processing infrastructure in the Elmworth/Gold Creek area which will serve Blackbird and other producers.
The MOU contemplates the development of facilities to handle 20 million cubic feet per day of Blackbird's associated gas, with a future expansion to handle up to 35 million cubic feet per day. The facilities' planned total capacity will be 50 million cubic feet per day of sour gas, with provisions for handling another 70 million cubic feet per day of sweet gas, and additional potential expansions thereafter. Processing facilities will be staged with packaged and modularized units to reduce field installation time and cost, and to allow for expanded capacity to be quickly and efficiently matched to drilling activity and well results.
The MOU further contemplates the building of an eight-inch or larger pipeline and gathering system that will run from the Blackbird's Elmworth lands south of the Wapiti River to existing infrastructure and ultimately the new Mistral sweet and sour gas facilities planned for Gold Creek/Kakwa.
Mistral Energy comprises the management team which recently developed the 700-kilometre Vantage pipeline project and a 50-million-cubic-foot-per-day cryogenic gas plant in Saskatchewan with a 70-kilometre gas gathering trunk line.
Garth Braun, chief executive officer of Blackbird, noted: "Blackbird is at the beginning of an exciting period of growth and is pleased to continue to pro-actively address the challenges that are present in the Elmworth/Gold Creek corridor.
