Gungnir Resources Inc. has released further near-surface drill results and visuals at the company's Lappvattnet nickel deposit in northern Sweden. Highlighted holes include LAP22-10 which cut 7.0 metres of 1.16% Ni and LAP22-19 which intersected a new footwall nickel target approximately 75 metres below the main Lappvattnet deposit. "It looks like we may have the beginnings of a new footwall nickel target in the central part of the deposit, adding further potential at Lappvattnet. Historic holes in this area from the 1970s appear to have been drilled just short of this new target. So far, with longer drill holes, we have six footwall hits over a strike length of approximately 100 metres in the central part of Lappvattnet where it remains mostly open along strike and at depth. ....bin auch abissl überrascht, daß kurs- reaktion auf jüngste meldung bislang
eher bescheiden ausfiel, was NICHT heißt, daß es dabei bleiben wird, denn mit
NI- expl. ist man im zuge der E- mobil. absolut auf der richtigen seite, ebenso wie
bei LI oder grafit....um nur einige zu nennen.

bin weiterhin guter dinge, daß unsre GUG sich noch gen norden aufschwingen wird

GUNGNIR PROVIDES UPDATE ON DRILLING AT LAPPVATTNET HIGH-GRADE NICKEL PROJECT

Gungnir Resources Inc. has provided an update from continuing drilling at its Lappvattnet high-grade nickel project in northern Sweden.

Gungnir commenced drilling at Lappvattnet during the first week of May and has completed eight holes, LAP22-01 to -08, for 1,130 metres. To date, two shipments of drill core from six holes have been sent to ALS Geochemistry in Mala, Sweden, for cutting and assay preparation. A total of 223 samples, including certified standards, blanks and duplicates, will then be sent to ALS Geochemistry in Ireland for analysis.

Assay results are expected late July or early August..........

Gungnir Resources Inc. expects drilling to commence early next week at the company's Lappvattnet high-grade nickel project in northern Sweden. Drilling will continue to focus on upgrading and expanding the existing nickel resource. Approximately 4,000 metres of drilling is planned.

Nickel ist immer noch noch vom Welthandel ausgesetzt weil:

Chinese nickel giant at center of action, Tsingshan, received financial lifeline from banks to help meet margin calls related to $8 billion in paper losses.

Das kann noch Tage order Wochen dauern - laut Medien. Wie danach der Nickel Preis reagiert weis keiner aber sicher ist das GUG auf vielviel Nickel setzt und nicht nur der reine Wert sondern die Unabhaengigkeit einen vielen groesseren Wert hat, wird GUG gerade neu bewertet. 16 Mio C$ ist immer noch ein Witz - schade das wir kein Volumen in D haben aber GUG rueckt taeglich mehr in den Fokus.

NICKEL ist nach wie vor einer der volatilsten Rohstoffe.

Der Preis dieses Industriemetalls wurde heute an der Börse in Singapur während der asiatischen Sitzung kurzzeitig über 100.000 USD pro Tonne gehandelt. Um diese Zahl in die richtige Perspektive zu rücken, sei daran erinnert, dass NICKEL im Januar mit rund 20.000 USD pro Tonne gehandelt wurde! Gestern sprang der Preis auf über 50.000 USD. Zu Beginn des heutigen Handels in London (London's Metal Exchange) lag der Nickelpreis knapp über 80.000 USD. Was sind die Gründe für diesen Anstieg?

Eine Einheit einer der größten chinesischen Banken - die China Construction Bank Corporation - sah sich mit einer Nachschussforderung in Höhe von Hunderten von Millionen USD konfrontiert. Die Einheit hatte eine große Short-Position bei Nickel und erlitt nach dem gestrigen Anstieg der Nickelpreise massive Verluste. Die Nachschussforderung sollte am Montag beglichen werden, aber da die Bank nicht über ausreichende Mittel verfügte, verlängerte die LME die Frist bis heute. Außerdem hat die LME die Lieferungen einiger Rohstoffe, darunter Nickel, gestoppt, was zu einem vorübergehenden Mangel an diesem Rohstoff im Handel führte.........
