Hallo zusammen,

wie in der News mitgeteilt sind persönliche Gründe die Ursache der personellen Veränderung / das Zurücktreten von Hao Wang als President & COO. Offenbar gab es einen familiären Notfall, in dessem Zuge er seine Position in DTG aufgelöst hat (so habe ich es vernommen).

Es wäre schöner gewesen, wenn man das "Aktienpaket" ggf. gem. vereinbarter Transaktion an einen Investor vermittelt hätte, aber ohne die genauen Details und Umstände zu kennen ist dies natürlich leichter gesagt als getan.

Es ist wie es ist, aber ich würde es nicht überbewerten, auf Sicht der nächsten Monate ist der Zeitpunkt meiner Meinung nach für ihn persönlich denkbar ünglücklich, jetzt im Zuge der Umstrukturierung.

Hao Wang nimmt weiterhin eine Rolle als Direktor ein und bleibt der Firma erhalten.

Jerry Pierson
Chief Operating Officer

Jerry is the Chief Operating Officer and President of Dynamic Technologies Group. Co-ventures Update
The co-venture business is pursued by the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Dynamic Entertainment. It is focused on co-owning attractions in high traffic, tourist areas that are expected to generate steady, recurring revenue and profit, by leveraging the company’s attraction development knowhow and its proprietary, world class ride systems.

The Company’s pipeline of co-venture prospects is geographically broad and advancing, in-spite of travel restrictions. Its co-venture offices in Shanghai and Singapore have allowed it to continue to develop prospects in Asia and South Asia and its offices in Toronto and Orlando have been able to cover North America and Europe/UK effectively. It is the Company’s view that its co-venture strategy is well suited to capitalize on the post-pandemic world. Guest satisfaction and value and will be the key success factors for popular tourist locations that choose to complement their experience with our award winning, world class, media-based attractions.

The Pigeon Forge, Tennessee co-venture, is in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Empire holds an option to acquire 50% of this project which is planning to open its flying theater attraction in the spring of 2021. Construction of the facility at the Island Theme Park is underway and manufacturing of the flying theatre and production of the movie are also on schedule. Ride Manufacturing Update
The pandemic has focused the Company’s attention on ensuring it reduces and aligns its cost structure with the much more cautious approach to capital spending of its customers. The Company has undertaken an organization-wide, cost reduction initiative to reduce fixed and variable costs, as well as identifying and implementing design, procurement and production efficiencies and facility cost reductions. It has streamlined operational resources and implemented processes that have dramatically improved its productivity. The Company’s rigorous best practices have been effectively implemented at its primary manufacturing facilities and this has allowed it to continue to produce throughout the pandemic. The goal remains to emerge on the other side of this pandemic with its unique design, manufacture and commissioning competency intact and continue to be one of the strongest attraction suppliers in the industry.

The Company is fortunate to have a backlog of unfinished contracts to reduce the amount of pain caused by capital expenditure restraint of its main customers. The Company’s Contract Backlog at September 30, 2020 was $135 million, down from $218 million at March 31, 2020. This is attributable to reduced backlog replenishment due to the impact of COVID-19 on theme parks.

The Company’s installation teams have recently remobilized and are at various stages of commissioning award winning ride systems in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar and California. This massive commissioning effort has been negatively affected by site closures and travel restrictions caused by the pandemic that have delayed the Company’s ability to enter these countries to finish these jobs. The Company has incurred incremental costs because of the delays and the required quarantines on both entry and return to their home country.

In addition to its existing backlog, the Company continues its business development efforts to identify and establish future projects but given the uncertainties of capital spending in the rides business, we are planning for our ride manufacturing business to remain at a reduced level of sales and production for the near term.

Ich möchte an dieser Stelle noch mal darauf hinweisen, dass ich hier auf die Entwicklung nach COVID-19 setze, wenn die großen Freizeitparks wieder die Tore öffnen und zurückgestellte Investitionen wieder getätigt werden. An Arbeit als solches mangelt es nicht und man ist in mehreren Märkten vertreten - neben den USA auch Asien was ich als einen großen Treiber erachte.

Im Mai diesen Jahres eröffnet auch das Universal Beijing Resort, in dem es auch wieder den "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey Ride" geben wird. Eine "Dynamic Attraction" die erstmals vor über 10 Jahren in Betrieb genommen und in mehreren Universal Standorten geklont wurde.

Die erste Ausführung des Fahrgeschäfts wurde am 18. Juni 2010 in Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando eröffnet, die zweite am 15. Juli 2014 in den Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. Ein drittes Fahrgeschäft in den Universal Studios Hollywood wurde am 7. April 2016 eröffnet.

Das dahinterstehende System wurde erstmal in 2004 auf der IAAPA vorgestellt und kam inzwischen auch in anderen Attraktionen zum Einsatz.

ich habe heute vernommen, dass innerhalb der nächsten 2 Wochen "Maßnahmen" ergriffen werden sollen um den Bekanntheitsgrad von Dynamic Technologies Group zu erhöhen. Ich selbst stehe mit der Firma in keinerlei Kontakt,
erachte meine Quelle aber als glaubwürdig.

Untenstehend mal das durchschnittliche Handelsvolumen in Kanada, was aber auch der geringen Anzahl von Aktien geschuldet ist, die sich nicht in festen Händen befinden. Hier der Auszug aus dem Fact Sheet vom Februar. Auch geringere Schwankungen oder der jüngste Insiderverkauf von Hao Wang ändert daran nicht grundsätzlich etwas.

Die Attraktion wird wohl den Namen "Mad Ramp Peak" tragen und wird im Q2 2021 zusammen mit dem Park eröffnen. Diese Attraktion befindet sich im Zentrum des Parks und hat ein "Son of Anarchy" Theme.

Bisher hat noch kein SFX Coaster eröffnet. Der erster seiner Art "Mission Ferrari" in Abu Dhabi, befindet sich seit einigen Jahren im Bau, wurde gem. der DTG Homepage aber noch rfolgreich im Jahr 2020 übergeben (Beitrag Nr. 6). Ich gehe stark davon aus, dass diese Attraktion jetzt fertig ist und tatsächlich noch dieses Jahr eröffnet wird. Einen offiziellen Termin gibt es nicht, aber gehe von Q2/Q3 aus.

Ein weiterer SFX Coaster befindet sich im Bau. Die Eröffnung dieser Attraktion im Genting SkyWorlds Park in Malaysia ist für 2023 geplant (als Teil von Phase II). Einst mit "Alien vs. Predator" Theme, was sich inzwischen aber geändert hat. Weitere Informationen zum neuen Theme sind bisher nicht auffindbar. Nachfolgend mal das Layout und der aktueller Stand der Konstruktion. Der Außenbereich wurde bereits fertiggestellt.

Nun kenne ich die Gewinnmarge von Dynamic Attractions nicht, aber dies ist nur eine von mehreren Attraktionen die in 2021 und den kommenden Jahren eröffnen wird. Dynamic Attractions medienbasierten Konzepte sind weltweit sehr gefragt.

Disney und Universal Studios machen trotz deren größe zusammen nur rund 10% vom Kuchen aus
(und auch diese gehören seit vielen Jahren zu den Kunden).

Mir stellt sich immer wieder die gleiche Frage:
Wenn das Unternehmen so ein derartig tolles Produkt hat, wieso sind sie dann nicht in der Lage, Gewinn zu erzielen. Meines Erachtens ist das Hauptziel eines jeden kaufmännischen Handelns, Gewinn zu erzielen.

Im Jahr 2019 haben sie aber 27 Mio $ Verlust gemacht und im Jahr 2020 waren es auch noch fette 12,5 Mio $ Verlust.

- Wo ist die Gewinnerzielungsabsicht?
- Wie ist der Outlook für 2021..2025?
- Wann und wie plant das Unternehmen in die Gewinnzone zu kommen?
- Was wird getan, um dem Loss entgegen zu wirken?


Warum soll ich diesem Unternehmen Risikokapital geben, dass ich auch relativ sicher in Amazon (als Beispiel) investieren könnte, die in 2020 rund 60% mehr Gewinn erzielt haben als geplant?

herzlich willkommen im Thread.

Valide Fragen wenngleich hier meiner Meinung nach Äpfel mit Birnen verglichen werden und insbesondere Amazon als klarer Gewinner der Pandemieauswirkungen (verstärkter Onlinehandel) Augenwischerei ist. Aber wie du selbst sagst, ist dies ja nur ein Beispiel gewesen.

Für mich stellt Dynamic Technologies eine Turnaroundstory "Post-Pandemic" dar und der Entwicklungstrend ist ganz klar zu erkennen und die Strategie des Unternehmens ist ganz offen kommuniziert. Zuletzt hat man auch alles was nicht Kerngeschäft ist veräußert und die Co-Ventures sind der Schwerpunkt der zukünfitgen Unternehmensentwicklung um widerkehrenden Umsatz und Gewinn zu erzielen.

Das erst Co-Venture eröffnet in Kürze und weitere werden in Bälde verkündet. Die Pandemie und damit verbundene Parkschließungen weltweit sind natürlich nicht spurlos an einem vorbeigegangen und Investitionen von Parkbetreibern aller Größe wurden teils gestoppt bzw. bereits bestellte Attraktionen nach hinten verschobnen.

Durch den Parts & Services Bereich hatte DTG aber auch viel zu tun mit Wartungstätigkeiten etc.
Hier ist DTG nicht nur für eigene Attraktionen aktiv sondern kann grundsätzlich für alle Attraktionen in den Themenparks der Welt beauftragt werden.

Insbesondere der Entertainmentbereich in Asien verspricht durch die wachsende Mittelschicht ein Treiber für die Firma zu werden. Man ist hier an verschiedenen Standorten vor Ort vertreten mit Personal und verfügt über ausgezeichnete Kontakte.

Das "Ride-Manufacturing" ist ein Nischenmarkt mit wenigen Teilnehmern. Die Attraktionen von DTG, welche teilweise durch Patente geschützt sind, gelten mit als die besten und vor allem zuverlässigsten der Welt. 99.9% wird von den großen Playern wie Disney und Universal vorausgesetzt - diese machen aber nur ca. 10% vom Kuchen aus. Die Musik spielt in Asien wo gegenwärtig für die nächsten 10 Jahre eine Vielzahl von neuen Parks geplant und gebaut werden. Ein besonderer Vorteil ist, dass diese von grundauf neu gebaut werden und auf die modernste Technik zurückgegriffen werden kann. DTG ist auf den Bau sogenannter E-Ticket Attraktionen spezialisiert, vereinfacht gesagt Attraktionen, welche die Besucher in den Park holen und ein Herzstück des Parks darstellen.

In den vergangenen Jahren seit 2015 hat man viel Geld in R&D investiert und IP geschaffen.
Von der Vorstellung einer neuen Attraktion bis zum ersten Auftrag und der Eröffnung dieser vergeht einiges an Zeit, sodass nicht unmittelbar daraus Gewinn generiert wird. Insbesondere diese medienbasierten Attraktionen sind gem. Marktforschung aber genau der Bereich den die Kunden verstärkt sehen wollen in den Parks und in welchen in den nächsten Jahren das meiste Geld investiert wird.

From Steel Fabrication to Theme Park Rides to Attraction Partnerships

"Dynamic has been around for nearly a century. Although the name has changed, it has always designed and built projects that ‘wow’ customers.

Empire Industries was founded in 2006 by Guy Nelson through the reverse takeover of Empire Iron Works. Empire grew quickly acquiring 6 fabrication companies and 2 manufacturing companies, investing over $80 million dollars.

One of the acquisitions was a company called Dynamic Structures based in Vancouver, Canada. Dynamic Structures began it’s business as Vancouver Art Metal in 1926. It mainly focused on steel fabrication of structures and commercial buildings. When the infrastructure boom hit western Canada, the company gained new skills and reputation by building several complex, scenic bridges. In the 1970s, Dynamic Structures won the first of many contracts for the astronomy field. It designed and built the dome enclosure for the Canada France Hawaii Telescope. Because of the remote location on top of a volcano in Hawaii, the company learned how to design and build massive, technically complex structures to withstand harsh conditions in remote locations. Based on the success of the first observatory project, we began to build a world class engineering and fabrication competency focused on major international telescope projects. Dynamic Structures unique engineering competency was perfectly suited to be awarded contracts in the rapidly growing theme park industry. Both fields require ground-breaking engineering and precision fabrication. As a result, we were brought on to support several new attractions which would go on to change the theme park industry forever.

The recession of 2009 hit the company’s steel fabrication business very hard. A strategic decision was made to greatly reduce our highly competitive structural steel fabrication business and focus on the growing, engineered products segment. Four of the steel fabrication were divested and in 2011 as theme park business grew, Dynamic Attractions was created to accelerate the ride engineering capacity that Dynamic Structures had initiated.

A strategic decision was made to develop our own proprietary ride products while continuing to work on some of the most high profile theme park rides in the industry. It was decided to enter the ride manufacturing business successfully, we had to do things that had not been done before. As a consequence, contracts were undertaken to build some of the most complex rides in the industry. In the 5 year period between 2015 and 2020, the company invested over 500 person years of engineering into developing ride technology associated with these contracts. We have delivered over $700 million of ride contracts, with many receiving industry awards and becoming the most popular rides ever built.

In 2016, we spun off Tornado Global Hydrovacs (TSXV: TGH) to shareholders in an effort to continue to stay focused.

During the last decade, Dynamic Attractions expanded its facilities in Vancouver to 120,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering facility. In 2016, Dynamic Attractions opened a new 40,000 square foot facility in Orlando Florida. We brought in Automotive Manufacturing and Design experts, to establish a lean manufacturing operation. Additionally, we added Parts and Service office in Dallas

In 2017 we decided to diversify our business by leveraging our proprietary ride IP, vertically integrating into attraction ownership in partnership with tourist based operators. We brought on world class creative talent and established offices in Toronto, Singapore and Shanghai to support the growing global demand for this business. Our first co-venture is scheduled to open for the summer of 2021 at The Island Theme Park in the Smoky Mountains.

danke für Deine DD, sieht für mich interessant aus- gerade wenn die Pandemie eingedämmt werden kann und Themenparks wieder öffnen sehe ich hier großes Potential. Der aktuelle Chart tut sein übriges dazu. Ich werde mich am WE näher mit DTG beschäftigen und evl. mit einer ersten Position investieren.

Aktueller Baustatus SkyFly: Soar America.

Die Eröffnung hat sich von Frühjahr auf Sommer 2021 verschoben auf Grund der Pandemie und daraus resultierenden Verzögerungen. Eigentlich war die Eröffnung für das jetzt kommende Wochenende angedacht gewesen (Memorial Day).

The Island in Pigeon Forge ist sehr gut besucht und das Timing und der Standort für das erste Co-Venture meiner Meinung nach sehr gut. Jetzt müssen nur die nächsten Co-Venture Vereinbarungen folgen wie vom CEO angekündigt und das Listing in Asien zeitnah angestrebt werden.

Der Kurs hat sich leider noch nicht so entwickelt wie ich es mir gewünscht hätte. Das Interesse an der Aktie hält sich sehr in Grenzen was sehr schade ist, denn die Story als solches hat meiner Meinung nach Hand und Fuß und die Firma ist auf einem guten Weg. Auf Grund der Aktionärsstruktur und dem geringen Freefloat ist der Handel aber auch sehr überschaubar.

Die Entwicklung - insbesondere der letzten Tage - entspricht nicht dem was ich erwartet habe, bleibe aber weiterhin investiert auch wenn ich selbst ins Minus gerutscht bin. Mit Eröffnung des ersten Co-Ventures erfolgt der Proof of Concept und ich erwarte, dass die Finanzierung der Co-Ventures #2 #3 dann auch schneller über die Bühne geht. SkyFly bietet sich als Ausgangspunkt für Marketing an.

Schön wäre es auch hier weitere Käufe von Insidern am Markt zu sehen, wenngleich die Quote bereits jetzt eigentlich zu hoch ist und den Handel limitiert. Das Handelsvolumen ist sehr überschaubar und die Liquidität schon sehr eingeschränkt.

Im letzten Conferenc Call gab es keine neuen Erkenntnisse zum Uplisting bzw. Listing in Asien - leider.
