New location in Rome strengthens market position in Southern Europe

Milan, 2nd April 2001, Tema Studio di Informatica S.p.A., a 100% subsidiary of Brain Force Software AG, is now also present in Italy`s second major economic area. Rome is regarded as the center of Italy`s telecommunications. TEMA already generates 30 percent of its turnover in this market sector. Most major enterprises in Italy have locations in North and South Italy. With its new branch office in Rome, TEMA will not only cover the current customer`s branches in South Italy, but also gain new clients and considerably strengthen the market position.

As the leading distribution and integration partner of the ERP producer Navision in Italy, TEMA expects that it will manage to rapidly establish this field of business in Rome as well. Currently, two renowned enterprises in Rome are already among the customers of the ERP business division. Among the Navision Solution Centers, TEMA, according to a list published by Navision itself, ranks first and is thus already the most successful Navision Solution Center in Italy.

In the current business year, the Rome branch is expected to generate a turnover of EURO 0.5 million. The start-up losses of approx. EURO 150,000 have already been compensated at this point by the currently foreseeable over fulfillment of TEMA`s original goals. In 2002, a turnover in excess of EURO 1 million and already a positive EBIT are planned with more than 20 employees. The new office will have its seat in the Via della Stazione di S. Pietro 40. The coordination and management will be assumed by Paolo Pizzi who has more than 20 years of management experience in the software project business.

The new location in Rome means for Brain Force Software, following its entrance to the market in Southern Europe after its takeover of TEMA Studio di Informatica in March of last year, the continuation of the expansion to Southern Europe and thus the consistent implementation of the strategy to become one of Europe`s leading players. The results of preceding business year confirm that with TEMA, Brain Force Software has found the right partner in Southern Europe. TEMA managed to achieve the best result in its corporate history in the business year of 2000. By increasing its turnover by over 40%, the turnover increased in the entire year to over EURO 10.85 million. An EBIT of EURO 1.92 million was achieved. As a result, the EBIT expected a year ago in the course of the acquisition was exceeded by more than 110%.

Ich hab nur erfahren, daß im 1Q 2001 der Umsatz bei bf classic - Austria ordentlich angezogen hat. Vieleicht nützen Großanleger den günstigen Kurs und das gute Q1 für einen billigen Einstieg? (und hoffentlich nicht nur für eine `schnelle Mark` ;-))

Der Kursanstieg der letzten Tage - der Grund - Beko hat sich etwas eingekauft.
"Ich habe nie verhehlt, dass ich zizerlweise ein wenig zukaufe", meint Peter Kotauczek, Chef der Beko Holding, auf eine entsprechende Anfrage des WirtschaftsBlatts.
Die Chancen auf einen Zusammenschluss, zumindest der operativen IT-Töchter, scheinen zu steigen.
In den nächsten Wochen wird es interessant.
