NEW YORK, October 12 (newratings.com) - Analysts at UBS maintain their "buy" rating on Norilsk Nickel (ticker: RU0007288411), while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price has been raised from $91.00 to $93.50.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the upward revision in the target price reflects the higher nickel price assumptions for 2005-2007. The nickel price estimates for 2006 and 2007 have been raised by 8% and 7%, respectively. The earnings estimates for 2008-2009 have been reduced by 15% to reflect the lower nickel price assumptions. <<

Nach anfrage bei ABN hat man mir gesagt dass es ein Ausgleichfaktor geben wird, so dass der Zertifikat nicht wegen die Spaltung leiden wird. Ob das auch bei deinem OS so ist – am besten beim Emi fragen.

Frage:

Wie wirkt sich diese Aufspaltung des Unternehmens auf den Kurs eines Optionsscheines (DE000GS0D031 von G&S) aus ? Der Aktienkurs von N. N. wird ja wohl am Tage der Abspaltung fallen, der aufsummierte Wert der beiden neuen Unternehmensteile aber ungefähr dem Wert des alten entsprechen.

Norilsk Nickel (676683) konnte ebenfalls um 2,64 Prozent auf 75,75 US-Dollar anziehen.
Die Aktionäre haben auf der Hauptversammlung der Abspaltung der Gold-Tochter Polyus zugestimmt.

Anteilseigner, die zum 1. Januar 2006 Aktien des Bunt- und Edelmetallschürfers halten,
erhalten für jede Norilsk Nickel-Aktie eine Aktie von Polyus.

Na das hört sich gut an.

AREQUIPA, Peru, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Southern Peru Copper Corp. (SPC.LM: Quote, Profile, Research) (PCU.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , the world`s No. 2 producer of the red metal by market capitalization, will decide in October whether it issues new shares to help finance modernization and expansion, the company said on Tuesday.
The Lima-based miner, which operates the Toquepala and Cuajone mines in Peru`s southern Andes and the La Caridad and Cananea pits in northern Mexico, had initially intended to make the decision after publishing second-quarter results in July.
That was the first quarterly earnings release since the company merged with the mining arm of parent company Grupo Mexico (GMEXICOB.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) , on April 1, and Southern Peru said it needed more time to decide.
"We want to make the decision after we had posted two quarters of earnings as the new company," Southern Peru`s Chief Executive Oscar Gonzalez told Reuters on the sidelines of a mining conference in the southern Peruvian city of Arequipa.
"We`ve got plenty of cash flow because of the high metals prices, so we don`t really need the extra capital now, but that doesn`t mean we`re not going to do it," he added.
Southern Peru`s stock is illiquid, partly because Grupo Mexico owns three-quarters of the company.
Analysts have recommended that Grupo Mexico sell some shares to increase liquidity and make the Lima- and New York-listed stock more attractive.
Southern Peru also has several large-scale investment projects planned, including the Peruvian Tia Maria deposit it hopes to begin operating in 2008 and a $200 million plan to expand in Mexico.
