PinnOak Resources, LLC has released Beard Technologies, Inc. from any and all liability under its guaranty of more than $11,350,000 of loans which PinnOak had made to Beard Pinnacle to finance the construction of the Pinnacle plant. The guaranty was secured by Beard Technologies' 25% interest in Beard Pinnacle. Beard Technologies continues to serve as the contract operator of the Project.

Beard Pinnacle owns the pond fines coal recovery plant at the Pinnacle Mine complex located near Pineville, West Virginia, which began operations in November of 2006.

Bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob Dir Dir klar ist, daß der Unterschied zwischen Enterprise Value (Deutsch = Unternehmenswert) und Börsenwert (also Marktkapitalisierung) Schulden sind. Hier heiß das also, daß das Unternehmen in signifikantem Maße über Fremdkapital finanziert ist.
Das muß nicht unbedingt schlecht sein, da es die Profitabilität der Eigenkapitalgeber erhöhen kann, wenn die Gewinne dafür ausreichend sind.
Hast Du irgendwo mal Fundamentalzahlen (z.B. ein Jahresbericht) gesehen und angeschaut?

Unternehmenswert = Wert des Unternehmens unter Berücksichtigung von allen vorhandenen Mittel (flüssig / nicht flüssig (z.B. Kasse + Gebäude + Land) minus Schulden (Bilanz)

Marktkapitalisierung = Werte der die Börse zugesteht
Anzahl Titel X Börsenkurs

Differenz = Über oder Unterbewertung

wenn diese Zahlen aus Yahoo stimmen, massive Unterbewertung an der Börse.

Das was Du oben berechnest und "Unternehmenswert" nennst, nennt man "Substanzwert".
Ich gebe Dir vollkommen recht. Wenn die Marktkapitalisierung unter dem Substanzwert liegt, kann das auf eine deutliche Unterbewertung hinweisen. Muß es aber nicht unbedingt. Muß man sich genau anschauen.
Die Zahlen, die Du auf Yahoo siehst bedeuten etwas anderes:
"Enterprise Value": Summe aus der Marktkapitalisierung plus Finanzschulden.

Hier die Definition aus Wikipedia:

Enterprise Value ist ein Begriff aus der Finanzwelt und gibt ein Maß für die Markteinschätzung der laufenden Aktivitäten eines Unternehmens. Er ist definiert als die Summe aus der Marktkapitalisierung (inkl. Vorzugsaktien) plus Schulden abzüglich der vorhandenen Barmittel (Cash) und anderer Aktiva, die unmittelbar in Cash umgewandelt werden könnten (Cash equivalent).

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--(MARKET WIRE)--May 20, 2008 -- The Beard Company (OTC BB:BRCO.OB - News) today reported that it recorded net earnings of $2,768,000, or $0.40 per share on a fully diluted basis, for the 2008 first quarter compared with a net loss of $573,000, or $0.10 per share on a fully diluted basis, in the comparable 2007 first quarter.

Herb Mee, Jr., President, stated: "The big improvement was almost entirely attributable to the sale, effective February 1st, of 35% of our interest in the McElmo Dome CO2 field for $3,500,000. We generated a gain of $3,344,000 as a result of the sale. Despite the sale of 35% of our CO2 production, CO2 revenues increased $49,000 or 16% to $345,000 in the current quarter versus $296,000 a year ago. The increase was due almost entirely to an increase in prices, as we received an average of approximately $0.41 more per Mcf in the first quarter of 2008 than we did in the prior year quarter."

"The asset sale also enabled us to pay down $2,487,000 of debt and accrued interest. As a consequence, our working capital position improved by $1,809,000. We were able to pay our bank line down to zero, leaving us with $1 million of available credit under the line at March 31," Mee concluded.

Das Investmenthaus Friedman Billings erhöht seine Kursziele für einige Aktien aus dem Kohle-Sektor, nachdem die Finanzexperten aufgrund der weiter hohen Nachfrage mit steigenden Preisen für Kohle rechnen (Boerse-Go.de berichtete). Friedman Billings korrigiert sein Kursziel für metallurgische Kohle für 2009 von 130 Dollar auf 250 Dollar pro Tonne nach oben. Rohstoffexperte David Khani hebt sein Kursziel für Alpha Natural Resources von 67 Dollar auf 168 Dollar an, für Arch Coal von 74 Dollar auf 101 Dollar, für Consol Energy von 135 Dollar auf 196 Dollar und für Foundation Coal von 95 Dollar auf 135 Dollar.

Die Aktie von Natural Resources steigt aktuell 3,84 Prozent auf 40,86 Dollar, Arch Coal verteuert sich um 4,70 Prozent auf 67,96 Dollar, Consol Energy klettert um 5,84 Prozent auf 103,26 Dollar und Foundation Coal gewinnt um 4,71 Prozent auf 69,87 Dollar.

Derzeit steht der Ölpreis im Blickpunkt des Anlegerinteresses. Natürlich ist Erdöl der wichtigste Energieträger und Treibstoff der Wirtschaft. Allerdings forcieren Ölpreise von fast einem Dollar pro Liter, wovon wir bei rund 135 USD für ein Barrel Rohöl (159 Liter) nicht mehr weit entfernt sind, auch die Ölsubstitution. Eine Ausweichmöglichkeit stellt dabei die Kohle dar. Es verwundert daher nicht, dass im Sog des Ölpreises auch die Kohlepreise deutlich nach oben gegangen sind. So übersprang der Future-Preis für US-Kohle in diesem Monat die Marke von 100 US-Dollar je Tonne, womit sich der Kohlepreis in den letzten sechs Monaten mehr als verdoppelt hat.

The Beard Company Announces Ownership in Significant Mineral Discovery 4:00 PM ET 9/25/08

The Beard Company (OTCBB: BRCO) ("Beard") today reported that a privately owned company -- Geohedral LLC -- in which Beard owns a 23.16% interest, yesterday completed staking claims covering approximately 49,000 acres of Federal and State lands located near the town of Yakutat in southern Alaska. The claims encompass an area of more than 76 square miles and consist of black sand ridges that Geohedral estimates contain probable reserves of 891 million metric tons of Magnetite (iron ore) and 696 million metric tons of Ilmenite (iron titanium oxide ore).

The ridges range from 25 feet to 110 feet in height above ground level and can be easily seen on satellite and aerial photographs. They are estimated to contain more than two billion cubic yards of black sand. The volume of black sand in the ridges was determined with three-dimensional information obtained from topographic maps, stereo aerial photography and high resolution satellite imagery. An independent laboratory analyzed samples of black sand taken from the ridges and concluded that they contained an average of 28.4% by weight of Magnetite and 22.2% by weight of Ilmenite. The estimated reserves do not include potential below-ground reserves, which could appreciably enhance the potential value of the discovery.

Geohedral has engaged a well-known international engineering firm to (1) supervise the coring of up to 28 holes that will be drilled to a depth of 150 feet and (2) provide a reserve estimate once the cores have been recovered and analyzed. Coring is slated to commence by the end of this week, depending on weather conditions. All such activities will be conducted under strict chain-of-custody parameters.

The black sand ridges were discovered and sampled by Dr. P. Jan Cannon, a geologist and remote sensing specialist who has spent more than 30 years exploring and evaluating mineral deposits in the area using satellite imagery and other technologies. Dr. Cannon, with a 19.45% equity interest, is the second-largest owner in Geohedral, which was formed in July 2006. He has more than 35 years of professional experience in geology and remote sensing applications. Dr. Cannon has a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Arizona and earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology and Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma.

Staking of the claims has been financed by a group of investors (including several Beard affiliates) that contributed a total of $3,155,000 in May and June of this year for a 23.66% interest in the project. Geohedral is currently contacting its equity owners to invest an additional $1,640,000 in the company to finance the coring operations. Beard will contribute its $380,000 share of such costs.

Geohedral LLC Completes First Phase of Core Drilling Program

EXPECTS TO RECEIVE ASSAY RESULTS IN LATE JANUARY


OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Beard Company (OTC Bulletin Board: BRCO - News), today announced that Geohedral LLC, a private company in which Beard has a 23.16% equity interest, was able to complete the drilling of eleven (11) core holes during the fourth quarter of 2008 before coring operations had to be shut down due to the seasonal onset of unfavorable weather in southern Alaska. All holes were drilled in accordance with strict chain-of-custody procedures by an independent drilling contractor. One hole was drilled to a depth of 65 feet, two holes to 75 feet, one to 95 feet, six to 100 feet, and one hole was completed to a depth of 125 feet. In each case, Geohedral was still drilling through black sand upon reaching total depth. Core samples were taken every five feet in depth to the bottom of each hole. While it was not possible to accurately estimate the recoveries, Geohedral's geologist believes that meaningful amounts of magnetite, ilmenite, rutile, garnet, gold, silver and other precious minerals were present in each of the core holes.

"Samples have been shipped to an independent laboratory in Vancouver that is performing the assays," stated Herb Mee, Jr., President of The Beard Company. "At last report, the laboratory expected to complete its analyses later this month and will furnish its report to the independent engineering firm Geohedral has hired to prepare a reserve report shortly thereafter. Based upon currently available information, Geohedral expects to receive the initial engineering report in late January, and the conclusions of such report will be made public at that time."

"Geohedral is optimistic that the independently prepared reserve report will be favorable. However, the engineering firm has advised Geohedral that it will not have sufficient information to furnish a report that will enable Geohedral to market the Project until twenty-eight (28) holes have been drilled. During the next few weeks, Geohedral will be formulating a budget for drilling the seventeen (17) additional core holes that will be required to obtain such a report and a plan to finance the additional drilling. Geohedral plans to use a different type of drilling equipment, which is more portable, on the next phase of the exploration program. This will minimize the amount of helicopter time needed and should save considerable money relative to the cost of the initial eleven holes," Mee concluded.
