Why advertise on Mamma.com?
Mamma has become one of the most popular search tools on the Internet. Its powerful search syntax and ability to quickly compile composite results helps millions of Internet users every month.
Mamma is a huge hit with high end users such as business executives and power users who don`t have time to search through several search engines. A recent Mamma survey indicates that those who use Mamma are information driven and like the fact that the site contains very few graphics. Mamma users are older (average age: 42) and have a substantially higher income (average: $64,400). The most common professions were Programmers, Business Analysts, Lawyers and business people.
On average, our users use the Web for 19.2 hours a week. Mamma also boasts a diverse group of users with a notable portion of female users (nearly 50% of the totaled sample). If you would like to see a summary of our user statistics, please feel free to request one at: sales@mamma.com.
How much traffic does Mamma.com receive?
Mamma.com receives an average of 100 million page impressions per month. Our home page generates over 6.9 million impressions per month and we log over 4.7 Million unique IP addresses each month.
Mamma has the capability of serving ads based on specific Keywords and/or phrases. With this type of advertising, your campaign will be shown only when one of the Keywords you select is chosen by the end user. This allows a highly targeted placement of your ad. The purchase of Keywords/Keyphrases may be divided among multiple words with multiple banners. You may also reserve a set of words for exclusive use.
What kind of click-through ratios can I expect?
Click-through ratios vary greatly depending on many factors, including brand recognition, product offering, banner creativity, targeting criteria and the freshness of the ad banner. We have experienced click-through ratios as high as 13.5%, and less than 1%. The industry wide average for banner advertisements fluctuates around 1.5%. Keyword advertising is popular and traditionally experiences the highest click-through ratios.
What do terms like "Impressions," "Page Views," "Hits," and "Click-Throughs" mean?
Some of the terms used in Internet advertising can be confusing. Here are a few of the important ones: "Impressions" is the number of times a visitor sees a page (and an advertisement) on the Web site. Advertising prices at Mamma.com are based on "impressions," not "hits." "Hits" simply refer to the number of times a server is accessed. "Hits" is a technical term and is meaningless to advertisers, since each page, graphic or page element could count as a "hit." Advertising decisions should be based on "’impressions," so the next time someone tells you they have a million "hits" a day, be sure to ask just how many page views or "impressions" they can sell you. A "Click-through" occurs when a visitor clicks on an advertisement, thereby linking the visitor to the advertiser`s Web site. The "Click-through Ratio" is a term used to indicates the success of an advertisement (dividing "click-throughs" by total "impressions").

verschone uns mit Intasys. Kursziel 3$ auf 12 monate.
@ Genya,

10/25/00 - SearchHound.com, Inc. Announces Strategic Alliance with Mamma.com
Integrating ``Pay Per Click` Search Results
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct 25, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- SearchHound.com, Inc. (OTCBB:SRHN), a
U.S.-based intelligent search engine and Webmaster portal, today announced a strategic alliance with
Mamma.com, a meta-search engine that integrates "pay per click" search results from multiple search
engines on the Internet.
"Pay per click, or keyword-bidding, is a relatively new and innovative concept on the Internet," says
SearchHound.com, Inc. CEO Dave L. Mullikin. "It allows Websites who want to improve their exposure and
reach their targeted customers to sponsor a paid bid amount that they are willing to spend to have a
customer "click through" to their site. It`s advertising that you only pay for when it works," adds Mullikin.
Through the alliance, Mamma.com`s paid keyword drawn from multiple paid sites throughout the Internet
will be integrated into SearchHound.com search results. SearchHound.com`s unique site features
sponsor-paid search results at the top half of the site and real-time results ranked by relevance on the
second half of the site. SearchHound.com will now share in Mamma.com`s revenue for all paid bids through
SearchHound.com as well as its own sponsor-paid keyword bids.
"By including Mamma.com`s paid keyword in SearchHound.com`s search results, Web surfers will increase
their number of search matches significantly," said Dave L. Mullikin, chief executive officer,
SearchHound.com, Inc. "And in the near future, all of SearchHound.com`s key bidders will be integrated on
the Mamma.com site, providing them an enormous increase in their exposure to Web surfers. This is just
another step in our progress toward making SearchHound.com a vital search engine for browsers and a
value-added partner for our 600,000-member Webmaster community."
About SearchHound.com, Inc.
SearchHound.com, Inc. is a 3-year-old Internet business focused on providing Websites and Webmasters
relevant marketing tools, products and services. The site maintains a targeted email-based member
community of more than 600,000 Webmasters and a search engine which provides real-time relevant
results. The search engine scours the Internet, other major search engines, as well as the multi-million
URLs that have been registered directly with SearchHound.com.
SearchHound.com has developed an integrated site with a keyword-bidding feature for sponsored search
results to be listed on the top half of the site, while real-time results that are ranked by relevance are listed
on the second half of the site. SearchHound.com is known for developing strong revenue-sharing Affiliate
Programs; a twice-weekly newsletter, "HOWL," delivering discounted marketing tools, products and
services to its members; and a customizable intelligent search engine software package.
