Was könnt ihr da empfehlen?

Do freight rates tell the true story?
      25/08/2007

The focus has been on the credit crunch but the Baltic Index may give a better picture of the state of the world economy, writes Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

The cost of leasing cargo ships to carry coal and metal to China reached an all-time high this week, defiantly ignoring a month of panic and tumbling prices across the commodity markets.

Heavy traffic: the credit squeeze is having no impact on the day-to-day demand for base metals

A 170,000-tonne Cape-size vessel now rents for $118,400 a day, roughly double the level a year ago. The Baltic Dry Index - which measures freight rates and is allegedly one of Alan Greenspan's favourite barometers of global health - has rocketed to a record 7,319.

The Baltic Index tells the underlying truth, missed amid all the headline chatter about the credit crunch, says Barclays Capital.

"Twice already this year it has proved a reliable indicator of fundamental trends for commodities when markets wobbled," it says. "Once the dust settles, the likelihood is for some very strong rebounds in commodity prices."

Indeed, outside the Australian port of Newcastle a fleet of 55 immense cargo ships is still waiting to pick up iron ore and coal to supply the industrial revolutions of Asia - a powerful rebuke to bears insisting that the great commodity boom is now over. Yet - big caveat - the share prices of mining companies have plummeted, many dropping much harder than those of the banks loaded with sub-prime debt and toxic CDOs (collateralised debt obligations).

Rio Tinto and Xstrata fell a quarter from their peaks in late July before recovering somewhat this week, while the smaller miners and explorers on London's Aim index or the Toronto exchange have been slaughtered.

International PBX: Copaquire, Chile 43-101 Resource Report on Track
      VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 29, 2007) - International PBX Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PBX) -

The company is pleased to report that the three-drill program at Copaquire is continuing and that it expects the first 43-101 resource calculation on the Cerro Moly molybdenum zone to be ready by the end of September. To date a total of 12,375 meters of drilling has been completed on the Cerro Moly zone. This is in addition to 2,100 meters previously drilled in the 2005 program. The drilling will continue as thus far only a small part of the total mineralized system has been tested.

Copaquire is a large porphyry-mineralized body of rock, a situation generally amenable to low-cost bulk-tonnage open pit mining, that at present is open to the north, south, west, and to depth. The depth of mineralization has not been determined but below the valley floor drill hole CQ-63 terminated in mineralization at a depth of 530 metres (1700 feet). Above the valley floor Cerro Moly mountain rises approximately 250 metres (800 feet) giving a vertical mineralized dimension of a minimum of 780 metres (2500 feet). Across the valley and to the south of Cerro Moly recent drilling has encountered similar mineralization in the mountain to the south opening up a new area that may contribute additional large tonnage to the mineralized system.

A very large volume of copper-molybdenum-rhenium mineralized rock has been outlined but this represents only a small part of the total area of the property with other centres such as the Marta and Sulfato zones providing additional blue sky. For a graphic depiction see the company's website at www.internationalpbx.com.

The company has engaged the services of Eagle Mapping Survey of Vancouver & Santiago to fly aerial photographic surveys over the Tabaco and Copaquire properties. The high resolution photographs will be used to create high definition three-dimensional topographic contour mapping necessary for accurate resource definition and open pit mine design.

The company plans to engage the services of SJ Geophysics to carry out "Deep 3D Induced-Polarization (IP)" surveys on the Sierra Pintada, Tabaco and Copaquire properties. SJ Geophysics is a leader in this leading edge method of geophysical surveying. The Deep 3D survey along with the use of the 3D IP algorithms developed at The University of British Columbia Geophysical Inversion Facility provides substantial additional benefits over the traditional 2D surveys such as the ability to define subsurface targets at a much higher degree of accuracy and at greater depths.

On the Copaquire the 3D IP will help in defining drill targets in new areas of the Cerro Moly Molybdenum and the Sulfato Copper zones. On the Tabaco property the 3D IP will help in expanding the current size of the copper deposit by testing the depth extensions of the copper sulphide mineralization and at the Sierra Pintada property the 3D IP will survey three strongly mineralized copper-gold zones, the Gloria and Vina zones in the northern portion of the claim and the Totora zone in the south east. It is possible that these districts are centered above deeper Andacollo style porphyry systems.

The company is currently proceeding with the spin-off of all properties into new public vehicles leaving Copaquire in International PBX.

Finally, the company has no exposure to sub-prime paper. All funds are in Bank of Montreal term deposits.

Aus dem Canboard, here we go:

      October 1 , 2007

The company is pleased to report an interim indicated and inferred resource estimate that will be augmented by continued drilling.

At a cut-off grade of 0.02% molybdenum (Mo), estimated indicated resources of 183.2 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.046% Mo and 0.107% Cu and contained metals of 185.8 million pounds Mo and 432.2 million pounds Cu . Estimated inferred resources of 212.8 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.041% Mo and 0.097% Cu and contained metals of 192.4 million pounds Mo and 455.1 million pounds Cu.

At a cut-off grade of 0.03% molybdenum (Mo), estimated indicated resources of 160.0 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.049% Mo and 0.106% Cu and contained metals of 172.8 million pounds Mo and 373.8 million pounds Cu. Estimated inferred resources of 193.4 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.043% Mo and 0.096% Cu and contained metals of 183.3 million pounds Mo and 409.3 million pounds Cu.

At a cut-off grade of 0.04% molybdenum (Mo), estimated indicated resources of 98.0 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.058% Mo and 0.097% Cu and contained metals of 125.3 million pounds Mo and 209.5 million pounds Cu . Estimated inferred resources of 110.2 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.049% Mo and 0.094% Cu and contained metals of 119.1 million pounds Mo and 228.4 million pounds Cu.
Note. Mineral Resources that are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.

These mineral resource estimates were prepared under the supervision of R. Simpson P.Geo., an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101, pursuant to Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves, prepared by the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by the CIM Council December 11, 2005 and published in the CIM Bulletin of November 2005 and compliant with National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Exploration and Development and Mining Properties. Numbers have been rounded subsequent to calculation.

Resource estimation was constrained by a 3-dimensional solid model developed from geological and analytical data. Block size was 24x24x24 metres and grade estimation was carried out by the ordinary kriging using 12 metre downhole drill composites. Blocks were estimated in three passes using incremental search distances of 50, 100 and 200 metres. Composites containing sample grades exceeding 0.36% Mo or 1% Cu were limited in influence to the first pass. Tonnes were calculated using median specific gravity values for the major lithologies based on 126 measurements of drill core.

No blocks were classified as measured due to wide sample spacing and lack of precise topographic data. In order to be classified as indicated, a block was required to have at least 5 composites within a radius of 100 metres which was the maximum variogram range. If the distance to the nearest composite was greater than the block dimension then more than one hole was also required. All other estimated blocks were assigned to the inferred category which required a minimum of 4 composites within a 200 metre search distance with a maximum of 4 composites permitted from a single drill hole.

Exploration on the Copaquire Project is being conducted under the supervision of Tor Bruland, MSc, PGeo.,the Company’s Qualified Person as defined under NI 43-101. Drill samples for analysis averaged 2 metres in length of split NTW and HQ-size core except for 9 holes from the 2005 program which were sampled on 3 metre intervals. The 2007 drill program utilized modern QA/QC practices involving insertion and monitoring of reference standards, duplicates and blanks. 49 drill holes with average drill fence spacing at 100 meters were used in the resource calculations.

All analytical work was conducted by ALS Patagonia Laboratories, Chile, an ISO 9001 registered facility, located in Coquimbo, Chile. Samples for check assays were submitted to Chemex, an ISO 9001 registered facility, located in Vancouver.

The company will initiate a preliminary economic assessment study based on the resource obtained to date while continuing to expand the mineralization. A technical report will be filed on SEDAR within 45 days.

The drill program at the Copaquire molybdenum-copper porphyry property in Chile continues.

International PBX's Current Activities in Chile
Thursday October 11, 3:01 pm ET

      VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 11, 2007 -- International PBX Ventures Ltd. (CDNX:PBX.V - News) -

The company is pleased to report to shareholders on the progress of its key exploration programs.

      Copaquire Molybdenum-Copper Property

      Cerro Moly Molybdenum Zone

Having recently announced a substantial molybdenum-copper resource the company will now focus on producing a 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment. The report will evaluate the nature and mine-ability of the resource. Drilling will now be divided between exploration and development. Development or in-fill drilling of Cerro Moly mountain which hosts a significant portion of the resource will commence in order to upgrade resource categories to measured and indicated. By concentrating on above-surface mineralization the company will emphasize delineating mineralization that should be relatively inexpensive to process relative to open pit and more quickly moved to the pre-feasibility stage of development.

      Sulfato Copper Zone

One drill will move to the adjacent Sulfato copper zone to the north. From the results of the 2006 drilling the company has determined that a substantial leachable copper resource may be available near the Sulfato mountain top and this additional in-fill drilling should allow a copper resource estimate to be published in the near future.

      Marta Molybdenum Area

The third drill will be sent to test the Marta molybdenum area to the west of Cerro Moly zone. Underground workings in the area indicate the possibility of high grade shears as well as porphyry bulk tonnage molybdenum mineralization. Upon completion the drill will return to Cerro Moly or Sulfato as required.

      Sierra Pintada Copper-Gold Property

Concurrently, a deep-penetration 3D Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical survey has begun on the company's copper-gold Sierra Pintada property to search for potential porphyry bulk-tonnage or iron-oxide-copper-gold targets below the high-grade structurally controlled gold and copper showings on the property. Following completion of this survey, the IP crew will move to the Copaquire Marta molybdenum area and Sulfato copper zone where IP will evaluate drill targets and investigate the size and depth of mineralization. The IP will then move to the Tabaco copper-oxide/sulphide property to test the lateral extension and vertical depth of the copper deposit.

      Tabaco Copper Property

The company is pleased to announce that it has engaged mining engineer Jorge Alvarez P.Eng. of Vancouver to begin the preliminary work required to move the Tabaco oxide copper resource to production. For details of this mineralization see the NI43-101 report on the company's website. The program will first be directed at establishing a direct shipping program, if feasible, while the economics of an onsite plant construction are investigated to process Tabaco mineralization and other similar oxide copper mineralization owned by the company.

      Tierra de Oro Gold-Copper Property

A drill program on this extensive shear-hosted gold property is now in the planning stage.

Copaquire is located in northern Chile on the West fissure which hosts some of the largest copper-molybdenum porphyry mines in the world. It is the last well-exposed major porphyry system in Chile yet to be fully explored. The company has an option to purchase a 100-per-cent interest in the property. The current program is designed to expand upon the interim resource reported in Stockwatch Oct. 1, 2007, that is summarized in the table.

Int'l PBX tests targets at Tierra De Oro

      2007-11-21 09:23 ET - News Release

      Dr. Gary Medford reports

INTERNATIONAL PBX COMMENCES 5000 METRE DRILL PROGRAM ON THE TIERRA DE ORO GOLD PROPERTY

International PBX Ventures Ltd. has commenced a 5,000-metre reconnaissance reverse circulation drill program, to test targets generated from the company's previous work on the Tierra De Oro gold property claims. To date, the company's exploration programs have identified, mapped, sampled, trenched and drilled, to varying degrees, 20 large gold targets.

The wholly owned property, 63 square kilometres in area, located in Region 3, Chile, hosts a shattered granitic body with criss-crossing, major structural, gold-mineralized shears, as evidenced by extensive artisanal pits and workings. The granitic body is oxidized to depths of approximately 100 metres and may thus be amenable to open-pit leaching operations in areas of concentrated structure.

The property is located 48 km south of the Candelaria mine (400 million tonnes of 1 per cent copper, 0.25 gram per tonne gold), discovered by drill testing induced polarization (IP) anomalies. The Chanchero zone, one of 20 of the large targets on the property, presents a similar opportunity as it hosts an intense IP anomaly which is currently being upgraded with leading-edge 3-D IP, to test at greater depths. The target, 0.4 to 1.2 km wide and 2.4 km long, is associated with an overlying gold-copper-bearing alteration zone that has yielded grab samples ranging between 0.5 and 16.7 grams per tonne gold. The intensity and homogeneity of this chargeability response, coupled with the presence of altered iron-oxide-rich porphyritic intrusives, hosting copper-gold veins at surface, may indicate a large sulphide-rich system is present at moderate depth.

International PBX Ventures Ltd.: Positive Initial Metallurgical Test Results on Copaquire Molybdenum-Copper Project, Chile
Thursday December 13, 1:50 pm ET

      VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 13, 2007 -- International PBX Ventures Ltd. (CDNX:PBX.V - News) -

The company is pleased to announce that it has received positive initial metallurgical test results on its 100% owned Copaquire Molybdenum - Copper Project, located in northern Chile. A preliminary test program is being conducted at Process Research Associates Ltd., of Richmond, BC, under the direction of Frank Wright, P.Eng., of F. Wright Consulting Inc. Flotation studies are being performed on several drill core composites from the Cerro Moly Zone. The results are as follows:

      ---------------------------------------
      Head Grade Bulk Recovery
      --------------------------------------------------------------
      Drill Hole depth(m) %Mo %Cu %Mo %Cu
      --------------------------------------------------------------
      CQ-61 72-90 0.059 0.060 85-90% 65-80%
      --------------------------------------------------------------
      CQ-62 88-108 0.094 0.160 approx. 95% approx. 92%
      --------------------------------------------------------------
      CQ-65 186-206 0.009 0.180 approx. 65% approx. 92%
      --------------------------------------------------------------

"This is our first look at the level of recoveries for this project and management is very pleased with the results," said Gary Medford, President of International PBX. "These numbers will go a long way in contributing to the economics of the Copaquire moly-copper deposit."

Except for samples from drill CQ-65 all moly recoveries are above 85%. The sample from CQ-65 had a low recovery of approximately 65% due to the fact that the head grade sample had a very low value of 0.009% Mo which is well below the cutoff grade of 0.02% Mo.

Flotation cleaning studies for upgrading and separation of the molybdenum and copper concentrates will commence in early 2008. Additional metallurgical testing is also planned for the adjacent Sulfato Copper Zone. The work to date shows that the mineralized samples tested from Copaquire responded readily to conventional bulk sulfide flotation. These results will be used as part of the Preliminary Economic Assessment, which the company is planning to have undertaken in 2008.

On October 1, 2007, PBX announced a mineral resource estimate for the Copaquire Moly-Copper deposit using a 0.02% molybdenum (Mo) cut-off grade of 183.2 million tonnes of indicated resources at 0.046% Mo and 0.107% Cu and an additional 212.8 million tones of inferred resources at 0.041% Mo and 0.097% Cu.

Results from an additional 28 drill holes completed since the announced mineral resource will be included in an updated resource estimate and used for the Preliminary Economic Assessment.

The deposit remains open at depth, to the south west and north east. Other boundaries are not clearly identified at this time.

To date more than 22,400 meters (73,490 feet) of diamond drilling in 71 holes has been completed.

Results are pending for 21 drill holes which are either being prepared for analysis or are currently in the process of being assayed.

      Sulfato Copper Zone Update

A 5,500 meter drill program has started on the adjacent Sulfato Copper Zone.

The Sulfato zone is part of the same system as the Cerro Moly but farther north and about 200 metres higher topographically. This is the more copper rich level of the system which has been converted from primary copper to secondary (leachable) copper by groundwater action. Drilling suggests that the Sulfato and Cerro Moly zones are in fact parts of the same much larger system similar in size to the Rosario system at the neighbouring Collahuasi Mine with published resources of 3.1 billion tones grading 0.8% Cu and 0.015% Mo.

With the results of the new program along with those from a previous 5,900 meter drill program completed in 2005-06 the company plans to bring the Sulfato Copper Zone to mineral resource category.

Tierra de Oro Gold, Copper, Cobalt Property Update

Drilling is well underway on the Tierra de Oro (TDO) gold property with 10 holes of a 65 drill hole program (5,000 meters) completed thus far. The Tierra de Oro property is located 48 km south of the Candelaria Mine (400 million tonnes 1 per cent copper, 0.25 grams per tonne gold) discovered by drill-testing induced polarization (IP) anomalies. The Chanchero zone, one of twenty of the large targets on the TDO property, presents a similar opportunity as it hosts an intense IP anomaly which is currently being upgraded with leading edge 3-D IP to test at greater depths and higher definition.

      Tabaco Copper Property Update

A 43-101 mineral resource estimate completed in 2007, based on 6,637 metres of drilling in 2006 demonstrated to the Company that a readily leachable copper oxide deposit exists within and beyond the area of the historic Carmen zone which is underlain by high grade copper sulphides which may be accessible by open pit mining. A recently completed 3D IP survey will provide management with information as to the extension of the deposit both laterally and at further depth. The survey results will be used for the selection of further drill targets in 2008.

The Prelimiary Economic Assessment of the Tabaco deposit continues and mining engineer Mr. Jorge Alvarez is expected to return to Canada over the Christmas holidays and deliver to management a progress report.

Sierra Pintada Gold, Copper Property Update

Management is very pleased with the high quality results received from the recently completed 3D IP survey. The survey was a quick and cost efficient way of bringing the property to a drill ready stage. The survey produced several large quality targets and management is currently evaluating and prioritizing these targets for a 2008 drill program.

The Board and Management of International PBX Ventures Ltd. would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and we are looking forward to a successful and prosperous new year for all.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF INTERNATIONAL PBX VENTURES LTD.

      George Sookochoff, Director

International PBX Ventures Ltd. Appoints Mr. Mike Parr
as General Manager of Chilean Operations.

International PBX Ventures Ltd. is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mike Parr as General Manager in charge of exploration and development of our projects in Chile.

Mike brings to the company 38 years of experience in the mining and exploration industry in both North and South America. He graduated from Liverpool University 1969 with a BSc. in geology. He spent 14 years with Inco’s Canadian and USA exploration group as exploration manager and senior staff geologist responsible for project generation, evaluations and ore deposit modeling.

Mr Parr was a founding member of MagmaChem Exploration Inc, a consulting firm, specializes in identifying the fundamental causal relationships between magmas and mineral deposits with respect to their metal budget and how those relationships can be used to assess the mineral potential of a specific geological terrain. This was followed by seven years at Boise Cascade Corp as exploration manager responsible for the assessment and development of the mineral potential of over two million acres of land owned by the company. After leaving Boise Cascade Mr. Parr formed Cassiopeia Ltd. which in conjunction with MagmaChem Exploration Inc. developed three dimensional element assemblage zonation ore deposit models for Carlin type gold systems.

In 1994 Mr. Parr moved to Chile and formed Lithotech Ltda. in order to provide specialized consulting services to mining companies engaged in the exploration and development of IOCG, porphyry copper and high sulfidation gold deposits throughout South America. Since 2005 Mike consulted for Xstrata Peru on the Las Bambas Project and related regional exploration. Xstrata is currently evaluating the feasibility of three porphyry related copper skarn deposits at Las Bambas.

“We are very excited at having someone with Mike’s caliber and expertise joining International PBX’s team” said Mr. George Sookochoff. “His vast knowledge and expertise of the regional geology will be very important in the evaluation and development of current and future projects of International PBX.”

3D IP Anomaly Below Existing Tabaco Copper Resource

International PBX Ventures Ltd. announces the discovery of a large three dimensional (3D) Induced Polarization (IP) anomaly located beneath the existing copper resource. The anomaly is elongated northeast-southwest, 800 meters long by 400 meters wide and is open at depth and to the northeast. The top of the anomaly ranges in depth from 50 to 250 meters.

      Tabaco 3D IP Anomaly

The 2003 and 2006 drill programs did not confirm the presence of a porphyry copper system. However it did encounter strong copper skarn mineralization normally found marginal to porphyry copper systems. In addition, several geologists have observed that the extent of surface alteration is disproportionately greater than the amount of copper mineralization drilled to date. The IP survey was undertaken to test if a copper porphyry system exists at a greater depth than has been previously drilled. Unlike a conventional 2D IP, the current IP survey has deeper penetration and produces a geophysical 3D model in keeping with the geometry of the geological model.

Upon review of the new geophysical results, earlier drilling appears to have intersected the upper part of the anomaly in drill hole TAB01-03 which returned 44.0 meters of 1.29 percent copper.

The company is in the process of securing a drill capable of testing this anomaly.

Int'l PBX finds 3-D IP anomaly at Tierra de Oro

      2008-02-21 09:20 ET - News Release

      Mr. George Sookochoff reports

INTERNATIONAL PBX VENTURES LTD. DISCOVERS LARGE 3D IP ANOMALY ON THE TIERRA DE ORO GOLD PROJECT

International PBX Ventures Ltd. has discovered a large 3-D induced polarization anomaly located on its Tierra de Oro gold property. The large near-surface anomaly is elongated northeast-southwest, 2,800 metres long by 1,700 metres wide and is open at depth.

"The TDO geophysical IP anomaly is not only significant due to its large size but also in its clear definition and closure on all sides," said Syd Visser, PGeo, president of SJ Geophysics Ltd. "These characteristics are a strong indication that the anomaly may be caused by a distinct sulphide-rich intrusive body."

The anomaly is located at the centre of a structurally controlled copper-gold camp and may be the source of the near-surface copper and gold mineralization found in the surrounding areas.

The company is currently shallow drill testing (up to 100 metres) several structurally controlled gold targets in the area, but with this new discovery it will be necessary to secure a drill capable of testing this IP anomaly at depth.

"As at our Tabaco copper project, I am very excited that our choice of technologically advanced methods of exploration have once again been successful," said George Sookochoff, "thereby allowing us to identify significant prospective targets quickly and efficiently."

The Tierra de Oro property is located 48 kilometres south of the Candelaria mine (400 million tonnes of 1 per cent copper and 0.25 gram per tonne gold) discovered by drill testing induced polarization anomalies. The property is accessed by well-maintained gravel roads and is located 20 km from the Pan American Highway, next to the main Chile power grid. With a maximum elevation of only 1,500 metres the region enjoys good climactic conditions for year-round exploration.

Please visit the company's website to view images of the 3-D IP anomaly.

      We seek Safe Harbor.

Int'l PBX to drill 1,500 metres at Tabaco in March

      2008-02-28 09:24 ET - News Release

      Mr. George Sookochoff reports

INTERNATIONAL PBX VENTURES LTD. TO DRILL TABACO COPPER PORPHYRY 3D IP ANOMALY

International PBX Ventures Ltd. will start drilling in mid-March on the Tabaco copper property. Approximately 1,500 metres of diamond drilling will be used to test the 3-D induced polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly discovered recently.

The Tabaco property is located on the same trend as the Relincho copper-molybdenum porphyry property now being explored by Global Copper Corp., in that it skirts the edge of the same volcanic-batholithic contact. The company believes it may have located a similar porphyry system at Tabaco that has not been unroofed, and that the shallow copper resource developed to date merely represents related manto-skarn leakage mineralization.

This anomaly is considered highly prospective because exceptionally strong copper mineralization (1.29 per cent copper over 44 metres as coarse chalcopyrite) was encountered in a shallow 2003 drillhole, precisely where the IP anomaly nears the surface. "This truly looks like the tip of the iceberg," commented George Sookochoff.

All That Glitters: Wall Street Reporter Talks to International PBX Ventures Ltd., Beartooth Platinum Corp., and Maximus Ventures Ltd.
Monday April 7, 10:51 am ET
NEW YORK, April 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Wall Street Reporter has posted exclusive video interviews with CEOs from International PBX Ventures Ltd. (CDNX:PBX.V - News), Beartooth Platinum Corp. (CDNX:BTP.V - News), and Maximus Ventures Ltd. (CDNX:MXV.V - News), companies poised to exploit tempting deposits of platinum, gold, molybdenum, and other hot commodities.

Investors can watch or download the interviews, along with additional content recorded in Toronto at the 2008 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada convention, at http://www.WallStreetReporter.com.

International PBX Ventures Ltd. (CDNX:PBX.V - News) has a flagship molybdenum-copper project in Chile that offers ``excellent'' potential nestled ``amongst some of the giants,'' says CEO George Sookochoff. ``We have very similar structure and geology.''

      Highlights of the interview:

-- Discussion of the significant resource (close to 400 million tons of
moly and nearly 900 million pounds of copper) already identified on
      the site.

-- An update on drilling on a "fantastic" second property, where
chasing narrow vertical gold veins has led to what could be a large
      well-defined ore body.

-- Notes on a third property, acquired in the belief it might host a
porphyry copper-gold deposit. "We're very excited about that."

Int'l PBX drills 40 m of 16 g/t Ag at Tierra de Oro

      2008-07-11 09:09 ET - News Release

      Mr. George Sookochoff reports

INTERNATIONAL PBX VENTURES LTD.: TIERRA DE ORO PROJECT UPDATE

International PBX Ventures Ltd. has released the results of the Tierra de Oro drill program.

The 7,000-metre shallow reconnaissance reverse circulation drill program tested a series of criss-crossing, major, structural, gold-mineralized shears, as evidenced by extensive artisanal pits and surface sampling.

The drill results were inconclusive in that they failed to corroborate the gold values obtained by surface sampling programs. However areas of significant silver-copper mineralization hosted in shears and mantos within the volcanics were identified, which justify additional work. Highlights include RC56, which intersected 40 metres of 16 grams per tonne silver, including 13 metres of 40 g/t silver. RC58 intersected 40 metres of 8.2 g/t silver.

The Chanchero area continues to be of interest in that the shallow drilling carried out to date did not test the potential of the porphyry. The drilling did not test beneath the leached zone to cut the large 3-D, IP (induced polarization) anomaly identified in the 2007 3-D IP survey. Gold and base metal mineralization, which is zoned peripheral to the porphyry, is suggestive that this system may be mineralized.

This news release has been reviewed by G. Medford, a qualified person, under NI 43-101, and director of the company.

      We seek Safe Harbor.

      PBX Addresses Canadian Technical Information
Disclosure With the British Columbia Securities Commission

      May 5, 2009

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - International PBX Ventures Ltd. (PBX:TSX.V)

On April 29, 2009, the British Columbia Securities Commission (the "BCSC"), the securities regulatory authority in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, delivered a letter to International PBX Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") stating that it had conducted a review of the Company's recently filed April 7, 2009 technical report (the Report) supporting its January 12, 2009 news release disclosing a material change to its mineral resource estimate for its Copaquire property in Chile. Based upon this review, the BCSC identified a number of deficiencies in the Report and has requested the company to file a new technical report.
The company is taking immediate steps to address these deficiencies and asks the public not to rely on the information in the technical report and mineral resource estimate until a new compliant technical report is filed.

      About PBX
International PBX Ventures is a Canadian junior mining and exploration company focused on acquisition and development of molybdenum, copper and gold properties in Chile.

PBX’s flagship project is the 100% owned Copaquire moly-rhenium-copper property, a circum-Pacific style porphyry copper - molybdenum open-pittable deposit similar to other Andean porphyry systems in northern Chile. The Copaquire property is unique in that whereas almost all the Chilean molybdenum production comes as a by-product recovery from porphyry copper mines, the Copaquire moly deposit is the only stand-alone moly deposit in Chile.

The property is surrounded by copper giants Rio Tinto, Teck, Codelco, Xstrata and Anglo American. Teck’s Quebrada Blanca mine is located 10 km (6 mi) east of Copaquire and the giant Collahuassi mine owned by Xstrata and Anglo American is located a further 7 kms (4 mi) east.

PBX's shares trade on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange under the symbol PBX.V.

      December 17, 2009

VANCOUVER, B.C.– International PBX Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX.V:PBX) is pleased to announce that it has filed the report “Preliminary Assessment on the Copaquire Project, Region I, Chile Technical Report NI 43-101” completed by AMEC International (Chile) S.A ("AMEC") at SEDAR.com.
For the 2009 Preliminary Assessment Report - Click here (2.1Mb)

The Preliminary Assessment (“PA”) report which expands on the company’s news release of November 02, 2009 provides preliminary mine plans for an optimized selected option which included mining and metallurgical plant designs, capital costs, operating costs and financial evaluation at a scoping level.

The resources at Copaquire will be mined by open-pit and AMEC has developed an ultimate pit and selected a scoping level production plan to process 36,000 tonnes of mill feed per day. The PA suggests a mine capable of producing approximately 785.4 million lbs of copper and 166.4 million lbs of molybdenum over a 24-year mine life at an operating cost of $7.15 US$/t.

(the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: PBX) is pleased to announce that it has closed its private placement financing previously announced on August 10, 2010. The full private placement was oversubscribed such that the previously announced non brokered private placement of 1,500,000 Units at a price of Cdn. $0.20 per Unit for total gross proceeds of Cdn. $300,000 resulted in total gross proceeds of Cdn. $378,500 and the Company's issuance of a total of 1,892,500 Units. The Units are subject to a hold period of four months and one day from the date of issuance.

Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to purchase a further common share at a price of $0.30 per share for a period of one year subject to an acceleration event, which shortens the exercise period to 30 days after the Company gives notice to the warrantholders that the Company's stock has traded for ten consecutive days at $0.40 or higher.

The Company paid total cash finder's fees of $3,000 in connection with the private placement.

The proceeds of the private placement will be used for continued exploration and working capital on its Copaquire copper molybdenum rhenium project located in Chile's copper molybdenum porphyry belt.

International PBX Ventures Ltd. Plans 2010 Drill Program to Test Titan IP Targets on Copaquire Chile Project

Marketwire) -- 10/18/10 -- International PBX Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: PBX) is pleased to announce that it has begun preparations for Phase II drilling on its 100% owned Copaquire copper molybdenum project in Chile.

The 7,000 meter drill program will test the nine targets identified in a recent Titan Deep Penetration IP survey (NR Sept. 15, 2010) for copper mineralization.

Six of the targets to be drill tested are in the Marta area located on the west half of the property. Recent bulldozer trenching and sampling in this area identified several new copper mineralized targets with extensive leaching and altered zones (NR Sept. 14, 2010) which lie on top of the six IP targets providing further evidence that the copper mineralization at surface may be the surface expression of deeper mineralized porphyry bodies.

Two other large Titan IP targets to be drill tested are identified as "Interpreted Hydrothermal Conduit Flow Zones" located beneath the Company's current 43-101 copper molybdenum resource at the Cerro Moly zone. 2008 drilling of the Cerro Moly resource indicated that mineralization was open at depth which would further support the theory that these conduits could possibly be the primary "mineralized feeder systems" to the existing Cerro Moly resource.

      Airborne Magnetics&EM

With only 20% of the Copaquire property explored to date, the company is planning a "fast track" exploration program for the advancement of the remaining area of the property by flying airborne magnetics and an airborne deep penetration electromagnetic survey (ZTEM) over the entire property. The helicopter-borne survey will be used to delineate major and secondary fault structures as well as defining geological contact zones between the porphyry body and the surrounding metasediment host rock. This contact zone has been identified in the Sulfato South copper zone and appears to be the control for high grade copper mineralization intercepted in the 2010 drill program (NR May 19, 2010).

      Partnerships

With a resource definition, preliminary economic assessment, mine plan, further high grade copper mineralization in the Sulfato zones and recent additional copper mineralization discoveries in the Marta area, the company continues to receive numerous expressions of interest by various third party mining and financial groups. Site visits have been ongoing with the final group completing their planned visit by October 30, 2010 after which time the company is confident that this review process will result in the selection by PBX of a significant partner to further advance the Copaquire project.

Former International PBX Ventures President Writes Letter to Shareholders

Highlights Current Management and Board's Record of Destroying Shareholder Value

Calls on Shareholders to Elect a New Board Committed to Maximizing Shareholder Value

Urges Shareholders to Vote BLUE Proxy FOR Concerned Shareholder Nominees

TORONTO, Oct. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Mr. Terry Lynch (the "Concerned Shareholder"), a director and former president of International PBX Ventures Ltd. ("PBX" or the "Company") has lost confidence in PBX's current management and board, has filed and is in the process of mailing a letter and Proxy Circular to PBX shareholders urging them to vote for five director nominees (the "Concerned Shareholder Nominees") at the annual general meeting of shareholders to be held on October 25, 2012.

Mr. Lynch has support from a significant percentage of the shares expected to be voted at the meeting, including the support of the Company's largest shareholder, Hong Kong Maytime International Industry Limited, a subsidiary of Jintian Copper. Hong Kong Maytime is very pleased with the Concerned Shareholder's Nominees and has expressed appreciation of their focus on enhancing shareholder value.

In the Proxy Circular, the Concerned Shareholder highlights a history of eroding shareholder value under the watch of the current management board and urges shareholders to take immediate action and vote for the five Concerned Shareholder Nominees - Mr. Ian Pirie, Mr. Terry Lynch, Mr. Peter Kent, Mr. Dan Gosselin and Mr. Zhangliang Lou. Each of these nominees is highly qualified and together they have a wealth of mining sector and public company governance experience. More detailed biographies appear in the Proxy Circular.

Mr. Lynch said: "We are seeking to improve PBX's recent dismal performance. Management has hoped that shareholders would stay quiet and chalk this poor performance up to general market conditions, but we cannot afford to remain silent. With the newly constituted, stronger board in place, I am confident that we can stop the rapid erosion in shareholder value and restore meaningful returns to investors."

The full text of the letter follows:

      October 16, 2012

A LETTER TO SHAREHOLDERS OF INTERNATIONAL PBX VENTURES LTD.

      Dear Fellow Shareholders:

As a current director, shareholder and former President of International PBX Ventures Ltd. ("PBX" or the "Company"), I am asking you to support my nominees to the board of directors of PBX at the annual general meeting of shareholders to be held on October 25, 2012.

The recent actions of management and the Board of PBX, as currently constituted, have forced me to take action to protect my investment and that of all PBX shareholders. There can be no doubt that PBX's current Board and management has proved unable to create shareholder value and to serve your best interests. I am confident that my slate of director nominees will provide PBX with the leadership necessary to realize on its full potential.

LOOKING AHEAD: THE RIGHT TEAM AND THE RIGHT PLAN

My nominees are Mr. Ian Pirie and myself, who will provide continuity, and Messrs. Peter Kent, Dan Gosselin and Zhangliang Lou, who will bring a fresh perspective. Each of these nominees is highly qualified and together they have a wealth of mining sector and public company governance experience. My nominees are carefully selected individuals who align with your interests as shareholders and have the commitment, experience and ability to unlock and maximize PBX's true potential value.

      About My Nominees

Ian Pirie, M.Sc., P.Geo. - Current Chairman of PBX and formerly with Inmet Mining Corporation for 31 years. He brings continuity and experience.
Terry Lynch, BBA with Joint Honours in Business and Economics - Current director and former President of PBX, CEO of Relief Gold, a privately held mining company. I bring 15 years of management and operations experience, especially with early stage companies.
Peter Kent, J.D., LLM - Fomerly with the TecSyn Group of Companies. He will bring over 25 years of business experience regarding complex business and legal affairs.
Dan Gosselin, MBA - Senior executive with a leading global financial organization and is country head for the Canadian corporate trust business. He will bring strong corporate strategic leadership background, a very good understanding of both the public and private markets and an in-depth knowledge of the retail and institutional investor base.
Zhangliang Lou, Bachelor of Information Systems - Director Manager, Strategy & Investment Department with the Ningbo Jintian (Copper) Group. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the copper industry and will bring international experience in finance and global development. He is the nominee of Hong Kong Maytime International Industry Limited, a subsidiary of Jintian Copper (the largest shareholder of PBX).

Track record of success - My nominees have the experience and qualifications necessary to provide PBX with the leadership and oversight required to maximize shareholder value.

      Clear Business Objectives

My nominees and I have six simple and clear cut business objectives for PBX for 2012 and 2013:

Value Enhancing Financing Alternatives - Secure sufficient working capital in the least dilutive manner possible to ensure PBX can operate in a manner conducive to achieving fair value for the assets it has accumulated. PBX needs to demonstrate to the market that PBX can operate until the end of the initial option period under the joint venture option agreement with Oz Exploration Chile Limitada ("OZ"), otherwise there may be a perception that PBX will, as has been done in the past, issue equity at lower and lower prices. We need to solve this problem as quickly and resolutely as possible. In particular, we believe that issuing convertible preferred shares is a potential means to provide the financing to the Company needed to last through the OZ initial option period with the least detriment to shareholders. The preferred shares would be redeemable out of proceeds of the initial OZ payment giving the option holder a doubling on their investment in two years. While giving an investor double return over two years may be a steep price, in our view, this alternative provides an attractive return and is far less expensive than issuing stock at $0.08 per share or lower.
Assess Potential at Palo Negro - Increase focus on the Company's Palo Negro property in Chile. A China-based company has built an operating iron and copper mine in the last 18 months on 400 hectares not owned by the Company within its 7,000 hectare land holdings - a development of which management was questionably unaware. Our plan would be to employ experts, already identified, to the region to do a thorough assessment of this opportunity.
Pursue Joint Venture Opportunities - We would seek interested parties for potential acquisition and joint venture opportunities for the Company's Tierra Del Oro and Sierra Pintada properties. It is our view that a comprehensive assessment of these projects, put together by a highly credible geologist and experienced mine finder, has not been done to date and is desperately needed. We have secured an expert with a considerable track record of success in Chile and who is fluent in Spanish who is willing to complete such a review for us which will lead to an assessment of the projects' potential. With the benefit of such a review, we can explore value maximizing partnerships.
Responsible Tax and Financial Planning - Establish appropriate and timely tax planning so that the Company is prepared if, as and when, OZ exercises its option on Copaquire. There are a number of different scenarios that could unfold as the Company evaluates and pursues ways to deliver maximum value to shareholders. We do not believe that the current deal with OZ adequately addresses this serious issue.
Commitment to Shareholder Communication and Outreach - Once investors are aware that there is no need for additional equity financing, we can seek to create an atmosphere wherein investors can appreciate and value the underlying worth of PBX's properties. This requires a commitment to regular communication to the existing shareholder base and a professional outreach program to introduce PBX to new shareholders.
Support Exploration at Copaquire - Assist OZ in its exploration efforts on the Copaquire Property and disclose its drilling results in a timely manner to the marketplace. Shareholders will expect that to the extent OZ has successful drill results, there is a greater chance the option will be exercised and, as a result, the remaining 10% of Copaquire becomes worth even more. With a current market cap of approximately $10 million, we believe investors will see significant shareholder value in PBX stock, provided they believe the Company will last long enough to see the end of the option period.

Based on the foregoing strategies, I firmly believe in the potential for PBX to represent significant value for all shareholders - but only if there is a change in the majority of the Board.

      STRONG SHAREHOLDER SUPPORT

I am pleased to let you know that I have the support of several significant shareholders of the Company for my nominees and our strategies, including the Company's largest shareholder, Hong Kong Maytime International Industry Limited ("Hong Kong Maytime"), and the Company's current Chairman, Ian Pirie. In particular, Hong Kong Maytime, a subsidiary of Jintian Copper, is very pleased with my Board nominees and has expressed appreciation of their focus on enhancing shareholder value.

Notwithstanding such strong support, I ask that all shareholders demonstrate their frustration and displeasure with the current Board and management and vote their BLUE proxy today.

Shareholders cannot afford to remain silent in the face of an inefficient Board and management. With the newly constituted, stronger board in place, I am confident that we can stop the rapid erosion in shareholder value and restore meaningful returns to investors. Now is the time to show the market that PBX has capital to survive as it pursues other avenues of growth. I urge you to support my nominees in order to restore market confidence, improve the stock price, and create real shareholder value.

POOR TRACK RECORD: THE WRONG TEAM AND A FAILED PLAN

Unfortunately, a history of miscues, missteps and mismanagement by the current management and a majority of the Board has significantly diminished shareholder value.

In making your decision, consider the following:

      Dismal Share Price Performance

PBX's shares have underperformed the TSX Venture index in 2012. The share price has fallen from $0.12 on May 25, 2012, to $0.06 on October 12, 2012, a decrease of 50% in just six months. The share price eroded by about 85% from a high of approximately $0.29 in December, 2011 to $0.06 in October of 2012.

These decreases are a troubling reflection of poor management. PBX current management would have shareholders believe that PBX's share price destruction was a simple market factor. However, the chart below shows that in the last year, the TSX-V lost 10% in value while PBX is down 73.9%.

      http://files.newswire.ca/1141/PBX_Chart.pdf

Source: Yahoo! Canada Finance available online at: http://ca.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=PBX.V#symbol=pbx.v;ran… rosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined. As of October 16, 2012.

This is a painful fact all PBX shareholders know, yet management hopes you will attribute this loss to market conditions. The truth is that we shareholders have paid an enormous price for management's mistakes.

      Frequent Shareholder Dilution

While management has waffled over the past year as to how to go forward with the Copaquire property in Chile, it has completed no less than four financings (out of five attempts) - each at a successively lower price. The first, in October 2011, was priced at $0.20 a share; the second, in February 2012 at $0.15 (which was disrupted by a cease trade order issued against the Company as a result of certain deficiencies contained in its National Instrument 43-101 technical report in respect of the Copaquire Property); the third, in April 2012 at $0.08; and the fourth, in July 2012 at $0.08. A fifth financing attempt, at $0.23, was ultimately aborted in December 2011.

Failure to Obtain Fair Value for Assets

The terms of PBX's recently completed joint venture option agreement with OZ, a subsidiary of Australia's OZ Minerals Ltd., is a clear example of management's inexperience in brokering major transactions. Management became enmeshed in a confusing web of negotiations instead of taking the tried-and-trusted route of hiring a financial advisor to ensure that PBX received the best terms possible. The result was that while, based on our review, the average copper discovery worldwide, which PBX management had been using as a harbringer of value, was sold (not optioned) for 7.5 cents per pound, whereas PBX appears to have received an option valued at just 2.8 cents per pound. Furthermore, the Company will potentially have to wait two to three years to see the option exercised. Mr. Lynch supported the Joint Venture Option Agreement with OZ only because management has backed the Company into a corner and only after ensuring that the beneficial provisions related to the timing aspects of the agreement were included. In particular, current management and the majority of the Board had initially permitted OZ to effectively have an indefinite option - prudent management of a resource company, being properly advised, would not allow this to happen.

      A Failed Strategic Plan

In my view, current management misguidedly believes that PBX's salvation lies in spinning out PBX's other assets via a dividend spinout of Chilean Metals Exploration Ltd. Management spent significant time and a significant portion of scarce cash pursuing this flawed plan, while concurrently negotiating the Copaquire transaction. Although the Company received final court approval for the spinout on January 13, 2012, the transaction remains in limbo. While a spin out of some or all of the assets into a second public entity remains a viable option, it is not as currently structured which would leave a poorly capitalized company with stock free trading day one. This is a scenario that will not attract fair valuation for the Company's assets and will doom shareholders to poor value for yet another ill-approached asset sale.

My objective is to maximize the value of PBX for the benefit of all shareholders by ensuring expert leadership and a strong strategic vision. I ask that you please read the enclosed information circular for additional information and details as to voting procedures.

Your vote is critical. Please sign, date and return the enclosed BLUE proxy by no later than 5:00 p.m. (Vancouver time) on October 22, 2012. Completed proxies may also be faxed to 1-866-545-5580 or 416-867-2271. Even if you have previously delivered a management proxy, the more recent proxy automatically revokes the earlier one, so vote today!

If you have any questions about completing your proxy or if you are a non-registered (beneficial) shareholder holding your shares through a broker, please contact Kingsdale Shareholder Services Inc. at 1-866-228-3049, or 1-416-867-2272 outside of North America (collect calls accepted), or by e-mail at contactus@kingsdaleshareholder.com.

Thank you for your support and the confidence in my nominees and our vision for PBX going forward.

      Sincerely,
      (signed) Terry Lynch
