Ich schau ihn mir schon länger an (Empfehlung kam über einen Bekannten aus US) und jetzt ist mir bei einem Gold/Silber Workshop zufällig ein Doug Casey-'International Speculator' Newsletter (10/07) in die Hände gefallen und ich mußte feststellen, dass er auch diesen Wert empfiehlt.

BUY— Atna is a pretty simple story right now. The company is not a one-trick pony,
but the market’s attention is (rightly) focused on one project, the 1.8-million-ounce

Pinson gold mine, and that’s the basis of this play. With major gold miner Barrick Gold
(NYSE.ABX) having to either spend $30 million expanding the deposit to a Barricksized
project (typically, in excess of 5 million ounces) or hand 70% of it back to Atna,
Pinson is as close to a “sure thing” as you can get in this business.
Barrick will proceed at its own pace and release news when it feels like it, but it has
started working on the project, so one way or another Atna is poised to benefit.
We regard ATN shares as a must-have for any speculators on junior gold stocks. If
you don’t own it, adding to it here or on weakness will work out well. For stink bids, try
something around C$1.35.

Atna Resources ...In the News

11-16-2007 Atna Resources ( ATN.TO ) (C$1.68, 64.7M SO, 67.3M FD, C$108.7M MCap, www.atna.com)

Atna Resources Ltd. today announced that Meridian Gold Inc., began drilling on Atna's Clover project, Elko County, Nevada, on November 14th. Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI, NYSE:AUY) currently owns approximately 90% of Meridian Gold and is in the process of acquiring the balance of Meridian shares not already own by way of a plan of arrangement. Meridian informed Atna that a reverse circulation drill is targeting high grade epithermal vein zones and structures in the southern portion of the claim block. The holes will follow-up on previous high grade drill intersections and explore new structural targets. Meridian plans to drill approximately 12,000 feet in 11 holes and will continue to work through the remainder of the fourth quarter 2007.

Atna's President and CEO, David Watkins, stated, "We are pleased that Meridian has planned an aggressive drill program at the Clover project, targeting high-grade mineralization typical of bonanza vein systems in the area. Meridian has an impressive track record of discovery in a similar geological setting at its El Peñón mine in Chile and has an experienced geologic team on the Clover project."

The Clover project is a low-sulphidation, vein-hosted, epithermal gold prospect located in Nevada's Midas mining district within the prospective Northern Nevada Rift. Clover's geologic setting is similar to Newmont Mining's Ken Snyder (Midas) mine (1999 published reserves of 2.8 M tons averaging 34.7 g/t Au, 399 g/t Ag). Clover has several targets that require follow-up work including a geophysical anomaly in the Jake Creek structural corridor near the occurrence of high-grade (30.9 g/t) gold bearing float and at the south end of the property where high-grade gold intersections (25.3 g/t over 9.7m, 7.9 g/t over 7.6m, and 10 g/t over 3m) were identified from previous drilling.

Under the terms of the agreement Meridian can earn a 51% working interest in the Clover project by making a cash payment of US$135,000 and exploration expenditures of US$300,000 in the first year, and paying an additional US$500,000 and incurring exploration expenditures of US$3,000,000 over the following three year period. Meridian can earn an additional 19% interest by completing a pre-feasibility study within 30 months of the initial earn-in.

Our Comments: Meridian is known for an ability to develop vein type deposits, so it's encouraging that they are stepping up to the plate with a significant drill program on Clover. Atna gets nothing from the market for Clover right now, so there's no risk here, just potential upside; we look forward to the results.

Anglo ist eigentlich spezialisiert in die Finanzierung von Kohle-Abbau in Australien und Canada, haben aber noch eine Vielzahl von Beteiligungen in allem möglichen Rohstoffsektoren - anscheinend wollen sie aber mit Atna nicht Kohle abbauen sondern Kohle machen....

The activities of Anglo Pacific Group PLC are summarised as follows:

Australian royalties
The Group, via its wholly owned Australian subsidiary Gordon Resources Limited, owns a royalty entitlement to the output from the Kestrel and Crinum underground mines in Queensland other than Crown areas. The basis of calculation of the Group royalty is 7% of the invoiced value of the coal, without deduction for any costs pertaining to rail and road freight, or any other costs incurred in relation to the sale or disposal of the coal other than port and related charges.

Mining and exploration interests

1. The Group owns a number of strategic interests in quoted and unquoted coal, energy, gold, diamond, base metals and PGM mining projects.

2. The Group owns mineral licences in the Groundhog and Peace River Coal deposits in British Columbia, Canada.

3. The Group is participating in a joint venture to identify opportunities for some of the Group's licences in the Groundhog deposits in British Columbia, Canada.

4. The Group is participating in a joint venture with Core Resources to identify mining opportunities in Australia as well as carrying out detailed investigations into a potential new coal area in Australia.

... naja Doug Casey ist kein Trader und er ist auch nicht so verlogen wie viele der Puschblattschreiblinge, die sich ein 1000% Ziel stecken und dann mit allen Mitteln versuchen es innerhalb kurzer Zeit mit Börsenmäntel zu erreichen - auf Kosten ihrer nichtsahnenden Gefolgschaft.

Doug Casey analysiert seine Werte sehr gründlich und fundamental, d.h. seine Investments sind langfristig zu sehen (seine Erfolgsbilanz gibt ihm recht)

Traden kann man(ich) den DAX, FTSE, DOW, Gold, Crude-Oil... - Future im 3 oder 5 min Chart - aber da brauch ich keinen DC dazu.

Bei seinen Empfehlungen geht es im Moment um die Spekulation, dass Gold/Silber mittel/langfristig enorme Höchststände erlangen wird, und solche Werte wie Bravo Venture, Atna,..... und viele mehr davon extrem profitieren werden.

Aber Du hast recht, das Einstiegslimit ist nicht erreicht, aber das setzt er ja selber auf C$ 1,35

na wenn Du dem DC nicht traust, dann schaust Du dir halt einfach die Insidertrades von Anglo Pacific an ... muß einen Grund haben warum die allein heuer für C$ 2,8 mio am freien Markt Shares aufgekauft haben

Allan Barry empfiehlt auch den Wert. Habe mir mal die Projekte angeschaut. Sehr interessant auf den ersten Blick. Gutes Cash Polster, Nicht sehr hohe Dilution, gute Projektdiversifizierung.

Werde den Wert auf Watch nehmen.

Atna Resources Ltd. ("Atna") (TSX:ATN) is pleased to announce today that stockholders of Canyon Resources Corporation ("Canyon") (AMEX:CAU) have approved the Agreement and Plan of Merger whereby Atna will acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of Canyon. The transaction was approved by a majority of the outstanding shares of common stock of Canyon at a special meeting of Canyon stockholders called to consider the transaction.

On November 16, 2007 Atna and Canyon entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger whereby each share of Canyon would be exchanged for 0.32 of an Atna common share. After the transaction, Canyon will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atna.

The transaction is expected to close on Tuesday March 18th, 2008.

Additional information concerning the transaction is available in the registration statement on Form F-4 filed by Atna with the SEC on January 17, 2008, which contains a joint proxy statement/prospectus and other relevant materials.
