Quarterly Cashflow Report
Quarter ended 31 March 2012
http://media.wotnews.com.au/asxann/01289169.pdf
Quarterly Activities Report
For the period ended 31st March 2012
http://media.wotnews.com.au/asxann/01289168.pdf
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE QUARTER
EXPLORATION
GRAPHITE
- A total of 37 RC and RC aircore drill holes for 1,957 metres were drilled at the high grade Campoona Graphite Deposit.
- Drilling confirmed the presence of an outcropping, sub-vertically dipping, 20-40m thick high grade, low-silica graphitic unit contained within a broad lower grade graphitic proto-gneiss.
- Drilling at the Sugarloaf Graphite Deposit confirmed the large-scale folded nature of the graphitic unit which enabled a revision of the Exploration Target* up from 24-37Mt grading 10-12%C to 40-70Mt grading 10-12%C.
* The potential quantities and grades presented are conceptual in nature, there has been insufficient exploration to define an overall Mineral Resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the determination of a Mineral Resource
- Graphite concentrates grading 82%TGC were produced from a 10%C Sugarloaf sample using conventional flotation techniques and standard reagents.
MAGNESITE
- Test work continued on samples of Leigh Creek magnesite. Calcining of flotation products produced magnesia grading 95.4% MgO and 2.98% SiO2. Further testing involving straight crushing and attrition of the crushed product delivered magnesite grading 1.7% SiO2. Calcining of this product is underway.
GOLD
- Gold up to 2g/t reported within large hydrothermal alteration halo at Bartel.
- Poly metallic mineralisation comprising gold, silver, arsenic, copper, molybdenum ± fluorite and +0.1% Cerium.
COPPER
- 2m @ 1.4% Cu were intersected at Emu Plain in 2012 drilling, within a wider (32m) low grade (0.2% Cu) halo. Molybdenum reports up to 0.27%.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Negotiations with BHP Billiton Olympic Dam Corporation Pty Ltd in relation to its proposed acquisition of an interest in Archer's five West Roxby tenements are progressing.
FINANCIAL
- Cash in bank on 31st March 2012 of $4.082 million.
- $340,000 spent on exploration during the quarter.

EXCEPTIONAL GRADE GRAPHITE INTERCEPTS CONTINUE AT CAMPOONA
Highlights
- Exceptional grades and widths of graphite have been recorded for the first 6 holes drilled in March – April 2012 drill programme.
- Results cover some 500 metres of strike south from the historic Campoona Shaft.
- The drilling indicates the true width of the intense graphite unit in the immediate drill area can reach up to 40m.
- Previous petrology records average graphite size of 250-300 microns (flake graphite is > 100 micron with large flake >177 micron.
- The graphite unit outcrops, dips sub-vertically and extends continuously to a vertical depth of at least 80m. The next drilling campaign will include deeper drilling to target the graphitic unit to depths of 150 vertical metres below surface.

CAMPOONA GRAPHITE DEPOSIT – DRILLING UPDATE
Highlights
- Wide intercepts of graphite intersected in all seven holes drilled to date covering 500 metres of the estimated greater than 6km of strike of the deposit.
- Visible flake component to the drill intercepts.
- Graphite occurs as highly graphitic schist within graphitic gneiss.
- The drilling reinforces the importance of Campoona as a high priority resource target.
- Resource drilling is continuing.

Obviously there are the a lot of unknowns and any feasibility studies on production are a long way off, but I would assume the number's would be getting kicked around the office and management would have a fair idea on the overall capex.
To give you an example, Northern Graphite in Canada released a full feasibility study in 2010 on their Bissett Creek mine. This mine was targeting over 870,000 TPA with a Projected annual production of 20,500 TPA of Graphitic Flakes. (very similar type graphite to AXE)
This is a open pit mine and AXE would be set up very similar. Having the two Graphite resource (Campoona and Sugarloaf) may require different milling process but you would assume they would be similar.
Some details on the Bissett Creek study,
* depth is roughly the same with total estimated pit depth of 80meters.
* Processing plant includes 2,500 TPD mill.
* About page 70 in this report is where it looks at capital costs etc. Capital cost estimate of the mill is roughly $50 million, with Total capex around $62. At a market price $1,700 per tonne, NGC estimated it would pay back the mine within 6 years.

*Production is targeting around 20,500 tonnes per year , with mine life of 40 years.
*Cash costs per tonne at roughly $1500 (seems to be the industry standard)
Here is good broker report on NGC which includes costs etc

Northern graphite are due to release a new bank feasibility study this quarter, so that will be interesting to watch.
In relation to SYR, they do sound exciting and of course having the resource so close to the surface is a bonus. One thing that does concern me is the lead times could be delayed due to their wet season. Which is very similar to china's winter, which experiences production delays and they have to import graphite from Malaysia. Australia is in a prime positions with potential production 365 days of the year.
SER is an interesting one, however it has taken them almost a year to finalize their JV with Mega. Jury still out on hat one.
In summary, i would see 70-100 Million spent to set up a mine to get us to production, targeting 20,000 tonnes per year at a cost of $1500 per tonne. With a selling price of $3000 per tonne (potentially higher if we upgrade the concentrate to spherical graphite, which goes for $7,000/t), annual revenue could equal $30 million per year with a payback life of roughly 3-5 years.
On a conservative p/e 5, could possibly provide a market cap of 150-200 Million dollars. (currently $21 million).
This also does not include other resources and the West Roxby that Archer have)
Very rough numbers and dilution on share price is bound to happen, but you get the idea.
