EWG applauds House for advancing bill to limit PFAS discharges into water

WASHINGTON – The Environmental Working Group today applauds the House for advancing bipartisan legislation to limit industrial discharges of the toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS into drinking water.

The Clean Water Standards for PFAS Act, introduced in the House by Rep. Chris Pappas (D-N.H.), would set deadlines for the Environmental Protection Agency to issue standards that polluters must meet before discharging PFAS waste into surface water or sending wastewater containing the chemicals to waste treatment plants.

EWG applauds House bill to set deadlines for military facilities to clean up ‘forever chemicals’

WASHINGTON – The Environmental Working Group today applauded Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) for introducing legislation to set cleanup deadlines for Defense Department facilities contaminated with the toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS.

The Filthy 50 Act, introduced by Speier, chair of the House Armed Services Committee’s military personnel panel, would direct the Defense Department to clean up 50 installations within five years, including 12 sites where PFAS detections exceed 1 million parts per trillion, or ppt, in groundwater. The bill would require all other military installations to clean up within a decade, and provide $10 billion in funding.

Biolargo hat eine sehr aussichtsreiche PFAS treatment solution und bereits bestehende Business relations mit der US Army. PFAS is big business...

BioLargo's Engineering Subsidiary on a Hot Streak with New Contract Awards

WESTMINSTER, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 29, 2021 / BioLargo, Inc. (OTCQB:BLGO), a developer of sustainable technologies and full-service environmental engineering company, announced that its engineering subsidiary has recently been notified of several new contract awards. These recent wins are expected to increase the company's operating cash flow, which will support its plans for top-line revenue growth and its efforts to commercialize a number of BioLargo's patented environmental technologies.

These new contract wins are for work with 1) a resin manufacturing facility, 2) a dairy farm, 3) a new project at Picatinny Arsenal, one of the company's long-time customers, 4) a potato processing plant, and 5) a US Air Force base, adding to the other seven bases already served by the company. Together, the new contracts are worth more than $1.2 million in revenue, most of which will be earned over the next six months.
