      EBOOKERS.COM ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH ONLINE TRAVEL RETAILER TRAVELCAMEL.COM - New alliance adds to ebookers.com new UK online travel storefront Travelshop-

      London, England - 2 June 2000 - ebookers.com EB6.ETR (Nasdaq: EBKR, Neuer Markt: eb6), the leading pan-European internet travel company, announced today that it has entered into a UK strategic alliance with travelcamel.com, the online retailer of travel goods. The alliance is the latest step in ebookers.com`s strategy of developing additional revenue streams and online marketing partnerships by taking advantage of the company`s high brand awareness among European online travel customers. In the UK, ebookers.com`s growing number of travel-related retail affiliates, including travelcamel.com, are now hosted on a dedicated ecommerce travel storefront, Travelshop, that went live on the ebookers.com site in May. At the Travelshop visitors can purchase ebookers.com`s own-branded travel insurance, and also access a wide range of travel-related services ranging from the Heathrow Express for airport travel, to dressmart.com for clothing needs. All customer fulfilment is carried out by these affiliates or other third parties, ebookers.com eventually hopes to roll out the Travelshop storefront to other European websites, including its website in Germany. Under this latest agreement, ebookers.com have established a revenue- sharing partnership in which travelcamel.com will sell its wide selection of travel-related products through a `microsite` located on the Travelshop section of the ebookers.com website. This microsite is currently being developed to offer customers a destination- specific selection of travel goods linked to the ebookers.com booking system. For example, a customer booking a two week package in the Algarve will be offered sun care and beach items while a customer booking a long haul flight might be offered backpacks, repellents and other travel survival necessities. ebookers.com will receive commission from travelcamel.com in return for purchases of travelcamel.com products made on the microsite.

      Dinesh Dhamija, CEO of ebookers.com commented: "ebookers.com is now firmly established as the brand of choice for Europe`s online travellers. We are determined to use this brand awareness both to increase income from additional travel-related revenue streams and also to expand our customer reach yet further through innovative online marketing partnerships such as that with travelcamel.com"

      John Curran, co-founder of travelcamel.com added: "Travelcamel.com is targeted at travellers like me - people who know from bitter experience that they will never make it to the shops before they leave. We are thrilled to be partnering with ebookers.com who can offer customers the convenience of making their pre-holiday purchases at the same time as booking a flight or hotel."

      @Stonic
      Kann es sein das Du hier etwas verwechselst?
      Ich jedenfalls meine, daß der Travelshop bei Ebookers mit unserer
      australischen Travelshop überhaupt nichts zu tun hat. Oder mein Englisch ist total eingerostet (was ich nicht glaube).
      Lies Dir den Artikel nochmal genau durch und erklär uns mal was Du
      darunter verstehst.
