AdultShop.com finalises rights issue and raises $19.3 million
The Directors of AdultShop.com Limited are pleased to announce that the rights issue has been finalised and AUD$19.3 million has been added to the Company’s cash reserves.
AdultShop.com is excited to be in a position of financial strength in what is at present, a very difficult market to raise additional funding. Funds raised will be used for international expansion in key markets such as Europe and the United States. This includes adult company acquisitions and marketing.
Managing Director, Malcolm Day stated that, “Our vision has remained consistent and we have achieved our stated goals to date… global focus, brand building, customer acquisition, establishment of infrastructure and operational excellence.”
AdultShop.com will officially launch in Europe August/September 2000 and in the U.S. in October 2000. Both regions represent huge opportunities in terms of market size, Internet usage and revenue.

Jetzt ist mir alles klar. Die Underwriter haben 50 Millionen Optionen zu AU$1 bei der Rights Issue erhalten. Damit diese auch versilbert werden koennen muessen sie den Kurs auf ueber 1 AU$ treiben!

The Company has today allotted 14,361,762 shares and 14,361,762
options (exercisable at $1.75 each on or before 31 December 2003)
pursuant to its rights issue prospectus dated 28 March 2000.
As previously announced, as a result of significant volatility
affecting stock markets around the world, certain contingencies
allowing for the termination of the underwriting agreement occurred
in April 2000. The Company, Euroz Securities Limited (the underwriter
to the rights issue) and the sub-underwriters to the issue have
agreed to reduce the underwritten amount of the rights issue to
$19,330,721 (reduced from $21,692,483). These total funds have been
received and the rights issue has now been completed.
The Company has also allotted 20 million options exercisable at $1
each on or before 31 January 2004 pursuant to the Company`s previous
announcement of 1 June 2000.
