Quadtel Limited (ASX: QTL) today announced a strategic alliance with
Netcomm Limited.
This alliance consists of 2 components:
Firstly, Netcomm has appointed Quadtel as preferred supplier for
Netcomm`s Carrier Division, which should realise A$2 - A$4 million
per annum to Quadtel.
Secondly, Quadtel has agreed to represent Netcomm`s broadband
products both in Australia and Asia, which will be worth in excess
of A$10 million per annum in sales to Quadtel.
The alliance centres on Quadtel becoming the preferred supplier to
Netcomm`s carrier division for customer premises equipment,
logistics, installation, internetworking and content services.
"We are very excited about signing up Netcomm as a customer for our
end-to-end broadband solution. This will lead to improved customer
satisfaction for Netcomm`s DSL access customers and increased revenue
for Quadtel" said David Ramsay, Quadtel CEO.
In a linked arrangement with Netcomm, Quadtel becomes a major
distributor of Netcomm`s products. The Australian and Asia Pacific
distribution agreement includes sales of DSL customer premises
equipment (CPE) to carriers and Internet service providers (ISP`s)
throughout the region.
"The alliance opens up significant new markets for both companies,"
Netcomm Managing Director David Stewart said.
"Netcomm, which is a leading provider of CPE products can now access
Quadtel`s outstanding national and international distribution and
sales channels with today`s agreement."
This relationship is timely as the broadband DSL marketplace,
internationally as well as domestically, is set to explode in the
next 12 to 18 months.
"The alliance is an ideal complement to Quadtel`s growth plans, as it
allows us to offer a wider range of products to our customers, and it
is a demonstration of our value to ISP and carrier customers in
Australia and throughout the Asia-Pacific region," concluded Mr
Ramsay.

MEDIA RELEASE
Australian broadband product and service supplier Quadtel Limited
(ASX/CDNX:QTL) has announced the launch of its Content & Software
Division, becoming Australia`s only provider of complete broadband
solutions encompassing broadband hardware, software and content.
"We are working with Internet Service Providers across the Asia
Pacific as they roll out broadband networks, and they all tell us the
same thing - developing and implementing their content strategy is
just as challenging as rolling out the actual network hardware,"
explained David Ramsay, Quadtel CEO. "The new Division offers a range
of consultancy and software services to help."
Quadtel is the only Australian company focusing purely on broadband
technology. The new Division complements Quadtel`s other activities,
which include the logistics, delivery, installation and support of
broadband hardware.
"Apart from our own in-depth understanding of broadband content, we
are developing partnerships with key players in the field, including
broadband content brokers, suppliers of broadband content management
software and providers of the hardware and services required to cope
with broadband traffic," said Mathew Lowry, Quadtel`s content
manager. "As a result we can offer solutions unavailable elsewhere.
The broadband industry is moving at a breakneck pace, so only a
company totally focused on broadband can offer this sort of
specialised knowledge."
QBLAZEL - QUADTEL`S BROADBAND PORTAL
Also announced today are Quadtel`s plans to launch QBlazel, a new
Australian broadband portal designed to explain broadband to
narrowband users.
"QBlazel is a strategic investment by Quadtel in the Australian
broadband industry," explained Mr Lowry. "Overseas experience shows
that broadband is a very confusing place. By making it easier to
understand we aim to push uptake beyond the early adopters and get
the market moving. It`s a central part of our partnership program
with broadband ISPs."
QBlazel will feature a `Get Me Broadband!` Wizard to help home and
business users find the best broadband package, while a wide range of
original feature articles, broadband guides, case studies and "How
To`s" will help them get the most out of it. Content partners will
round out the offering, providing regular feeds of news, reviews and
more.

Signs with K*Grind to license new tech. across Asia Pacific
Australian broadband product and service supplier, Quadtel Limited
(ASX/CDNX:QTL), has announced an agreement with new media company,
K*Grind. Under the agreement - the first since K*Grind restructured
to focus on its core software technology - Quadtel will distribute
and implement K*Grind`s Multi-platform Content Publishing System
(MCPS) and Virtual Entertainment System (VES) software products
across the Asia-Pacific.
As a result Quadtel`adtel`s clients - Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and
corporations - can now cost-effectively roll out user-friendly
content and services across all their networks.
MCPS allows ISPs to efficiently manage and publish their content to
all interactive platforms, ranging from wireless application protocol
(WAP) to traditional and broadband Internet. VES, on the other hand,
is a next-generation browser for broadband content and services, a
totally customisable and user-friendly interface through which ISPs
can offer a higher quality experience to their subscribers.
"Together, MCPS and VES increase customers` advertising, syndication
and e-commerce revenue streams while reducing content management
costs," said David Ramsay, Quadtel`s Chief Executive Officer. "They
fit Quadtel`s strategy of fulfilling all of our clients` broadband
needs, from hardware supply to content strategy. We`ve already
generated a lot of interest among our client base."
According to K*Grind, the agreement provides a gateway to its
international expansion to become a major provider of new generation
multimedia. "Quadtel`s services and expertise are a perfect fit for
the K*Grind range of multimedia solutions, and provide us with a
strong entry point to ISPs across the Asia Pacific," explained David
