VTEX Announces Agreement to Pursue an Integrated UK Gas/Power Project



HOUSTON, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VTEX Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VXEN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with U.S. Energy Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: USEY) and Marathon Capital, LLC to acquire the electrical power station that is supplied by the North Yorkshire natural gas fields in the United Kingdom and the balance of the interests in the gas fields.

Under this agreement, USEY is providing $5 million in equity to support the closing of the transaction. Additional funding for the transaction is contemplated to be provided through project financing secured by the acquired assets. Upon closing of the contemplated transaction, VTEX will own 25% of the integrated project. Depending on VTEX`s and Marathon`s capital contributions, VTEX may increase its equity ownership up to 33.33%. The Company and the other parties to this agreement intend to negotiate detailed agreements providing for their respective rights and obligations regarding their ownership interests in the proposed acquisition of these assets and the related financing arrangements. There can be no assurance that these assets will ultimately be acquired, or that the proposed transaction will achieve the projected economic results.

This agreement will provide sufficient risk capital to allow the group to obtain the financing necessary to complete this acquisition. The transaction will result in an integrated project in which the group will own a gas supply with proved recoverable gas reserves estimated to exceed 60 billion cubic feet and a gas turbine powered electrical power station with a capacity ranging from 40 to 45 megawatts. This acquisition will provide the group with a near- term source of enhanced cash flow and a longer-term ability to arbitrage between gas and power sales. The North Yorkshire gas field (an extension of the Southern North Sea Gas Basin onshore) licenses covers approximately 100,000 acres onshore, with additional seismically mapped exploration potential.

Ich weise noch einmal darauf hin, dass bei steigenden Ölpreisen auch in USA umgedacht werden muss. Im energiehungrigsten Land der Welt muss demnach zwangsläufig mehr "grüne" Energie nachgefragt werden. Mit nur 5 % Anteil an der Weltbevölkerung verbraucht das Land ein Viertel der Energie.

diese aktie ist gold wert, auch wenn sie derzeit hier im board kaum beachtung findet.

Mein Tip an Dich: Die Kursstelungen in D sind ein Skandal. Der Makler wäre besser Klofrau auf der A5 geworden! Ordere in den USA so gut es geht, vielleicht kommst Du noch unter 2,10 $ rein, SL bei 1,85 & setzen oder gar keinen, aber eine Verlustgrenze in Gedanken setzen (10% - 15%). Ich denke, Ende der Woche werden wir höher stehen als jetzt. Aber denken ist ja manchmal Glücksache

Nach kurzer , aber heftiger Korrektur , scheint sich US Energy Systems über der 2,00$ - Marke zu stabilisieren. Aktuell notiert das Papier in USA bei 2,15$ , +5,44%.

Auch längerfristig betrachtet , sollte sich der Ölpreis um 60$ / Barrel einpendeln , und die Gewinne der Ölindustrie sprudeln lassen.

Including a construction reserve account at the USEB level in the amount of U.S. $3,342, there were liquid reserves in excess of U.S. $31,380 that collateralize the repayment of the USEB loan to the Fund as of September 30, 2005. In addition, the Fund’s investment is collateralized by all of USEB’s assets and energy sales contracts.

US Energy Holdings Completes Acquisition of 200 Natural Gas Wells in Crockett County, Texas

HOUSTON, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/06/2006 -- US Energy Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: USEH) today announced that its previously released intent to acquire 200 natural gas well sites in Ozona, Texas has been completed.

On March 31, 2006, US Energy Holdings had announced the signature of a letter of intent to acquire said natural gas properties. In the meantime, all documents and agreements relative to the acquisition have been completed.

As a result, US Energy Holdings now owns the mineral rights to 9,500 acres of property in Crockett County, Texas. The property is located approximately 25 miles south of Ozona and 75 miles north of Del Rio, Texas. The "Canyon Sandstone" gas wells located on this ranch are part of the large, prolific Adams-Baggett Canyon Sandstone Field.

Of the 200 potential drilling sites on location, this property contains 15 proven and producing gas wells with a history of production since 1973. The bankable reserves on the property include USD $100 MM in reserves for 30 Canyon Wells locations and USD $39MM for 20 possible Strawn-Ellenburger locations. There could be as many as 30 Strawn-Ellenburger locations available on these leased properties.

According to The International Council for Capital Formation in the United Kingdom, "...there will be an average increase of 41% of natural gas prices by 2010..." To capitalize on the exponential demand for natural gas, US Energy Holdings is in the process of launching a full-fledged drilling program.

US Energy's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Claude Eldridge added: "Well number 18 was drilled in May of 1982 and came in at 350,400 cubic feet per day. At today's prices this would translate to approximately $2,494.85 in revenues per day, $74,845.44 per month, and $898,145.28 per year. This well, as of January 2006, just shy of 24 years of age, is still producing over 20,000 cubic feet per day!"
