buckeyejay; I would think a spin off of our Nickel play would be a good move and the 1 for 5 of those shares. I see in the NR Ray stated "The Company intends to advance its excellent opportunities to find a diamond deposit. Increasing shareholder value with the new commodities may create the synergy needed to successfully complete all our projects." I read this to mean Ray intends to use some (under $8 mil) of the money generated from the nickel interest for diamond exploration, I read "synergies" to means new moneys being used for "exploration" on all projects, not on operating two separate companies, two separate stock listings...this is not the priority right now.

Also "my" little bird tells me Ray looking at offers of funding and the shares outstanding are not a problem. Lower share price means you can buy more shares, from .55 to $5.00 or $15.00 as good as $1.10 to $10.00 or $30.00 ?? Just think of it as forgoing the first two stock splits!!

Next NR may give us another POP!!

      Marine2

PS; Don't be on the outside looking in on this one! This is reminiscent of Diamond Feilds Voisey's Bay, all we need is for Bob Bishop to jump in??

      Nickelausblick weiter bullisch

GGL under accumulation by large interests!!

High volume days like monday with a 35% uptick then a light day with a small down tick tells me someone hitting the market then letting it drift. Remember Ray may not need anymore money at this time as he has stated in The Northern Miner, he "expects to reap about $8 million from the exerise of outstanding warrants and stock options" also Ray has been known for his supprises just like the one apr 4th.

From what a birdy told me Bob Bishop will be in Vancouver this week and next and intends to spend some time with Ray/GGL, this doesn’t mean that Bob will mention GGL, just that he want to know more!!

..when asked, can GGL be the next Voisey’s Bay? answer.."Of course it can" "but it is a long way from being that at this time"

In short, it’s hard to imagine how much meaningful information can gained at this time and what may have tweaked Bob Bishop's interest?

GGL looks like it's sparking some big interests!! IMO

      Marine2

PS; Don't get caught short on this one!!

GGL 's LA 5 to 9 claims with De Beers!!
If one reads the Mountain Province Diamonds News Release(below)where De Beers is carring MPV to production on a $5-$6 billion diamond development then you look at the De Beers 60%, GGL 40% "carried interest"

At present, De Beers retains the LA 5 to LA 9 claims, the north boundary of the Doyle JV area is approximately 150 m from the Hearne Kimberlite pipe, one of the Gahcho Kue diamond pipes being evaluated and permitted for production. http://www.ggldiamond.com/diamond_projects.cfm?ID=1

Within the Doyle JV area several gravity low anomalies have been identified as potential kimberlite targets. The Company is working to see if it can create a proposal to allow the testing of these targets by the Company without detriment to the Gahcho Kue permit areas.

The LA-5-9 leases could have the same value as the MPV Gahcho Kue leases 190MT away, there is a trend that runs through the two properties with 5 gravity low anomalies under Blob and Lobster Lake. De-Beers is just sitting on them while GGL twists in the wind. Now that Ray has some money, more leverage, Ray may ask DB for a progress report on the LA-5-9 leases and if needed push through the court the right to be allowed the testing of these targets by the Company!!

GGL/Ray has been taking the short end of the stick with BD/MPV for to long!!

Mountain Province partner proposes $7.63-million budget

      2007-04-30 08:14 ET - News Release

      Mr. Patrick Evans reports

MOUNTAIN PROVINCE DIAMONDS RECEIVES BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR 2007 5034 N BULK SAMPLING PROGRAM

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc.'s operator of the Gahcho Kue diamond project, De Beers Canada Inc., has presented a $7.63-million draft budget proposal to the joint venture partners in support of the 2007, 5,034 North bulk sampling program. The joint venture partners are currently reviewing the budget proposal and plan to meet in May to make a decision.

As previously announced in Stockwatch, the joint venture is currently considering undertaking a land-based large-diameter (5.75-inch) core drilling program at the 5,034 North lobe during the summer of 2007. This program will be used to extract approximately 100 carats to confirm micro-to-macro relationships being used to evaluate the North lobe. Current indications are that five to seven large-diameter core holes over 1,500 metres should be sufficient to recover the approximately 60 tonnes required for recovery of the 100-carat sample. In addition, geochemical analysis and thin section work will be completed on the five holes drilled into the East lobe during the 2007 winter core drill program. This analysis will be used to confirm continuity between the two lobes. Confirmation of the kimberlite continuity will allow the extrapolation of diamond revenue data from the 5,034 East lobe to the North lobe. The results of the above work will be used with existing data to raise the resource confidence of the North lobe from inferred to indicated.

Commenting, Mountain Province Diamonds president and chief executive officer, Patrick Evans, said: "We are pleased that De Beers is continuing to support the proper and timely exploration and development of the Gahcho Kue diamond project. It is essential for the joint venture partners to have the highest possible level of confidence in the Gahcho Kue mineral resource prior to the commencement of a definitive feasibility study."

More good news on GGL !!!

have it on good authority the type of nickel sulphide GGL has discovered at Winter Lake is that of Pentlandite.
Pentlandite is the most common terrestrial nickel sulfide mineral formed from immiscible sulfide-silicate melts under normal mantle and crustal conditions.

Pentlandite is found within the lower margins of mineralised ultramafic to mafic layered intrusions, the prime example being the Bushveld igneous complex, South Africa, the Voiseys Bay troctolite intrusive complex in Canada, the Duluth gabbro, in North America, and various other localities throughout the world. In these locations it forms an important nickel ore.

Pentlandite is also the principal ore mineral won from Kambalda type komatiitic nickel ore deposits, the type examples of which are in the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia. Similar deposits exist at Nkomati, Namibia, in the Thompson Nickel Belt, Canada, and a few examples from Brazil.

Here are a few links on the type of nickel sulphide GGL has discovered:

Here is a link that connects the type of nickel sulphide GGL has discovered with the Voisey’s Bay sulphides found ! (Pentlandite)

(Voisey’s Bay report...look at the type of sulphides found !)
      http://econgeol.geoscienceworld.org/cgi/content/abstract/95/…

I believe GGL's geologists have a pretty good idea of what they have discovered, as we know the scince and infomation is more advanced then when Voisey’s Bay was discovered!!

GGL Diamond could be the stock of the decade!!!

For those who question the nickel sulphide as being that of Pentlandite and it's significance please do your own DD by calling Keir Reynolds at Ascenta Capital 1-866-684-4209

      3. Ein Plan zur weiteren Erkundung ist gefasst

mehr kann man momentan nicht verlangen ...

Look for an article in the German Mazagine "Focus-Money" in the next little while.

The last time GGL had something of interest, the PR people in Europe were able to attract the attention of a few writers at the German Mazagine "Focus-Money". GGL had some bulk samples in being tested from Doyle Lake, this was nothing like the discovery of Nickel at Winter Lake. When the article hit the news stands GGL's stock shot up from .15 to .52 within a few days, all led by European buying!! Now with Ray on business in Europe the last few weeks I would think the PR people in Europe were brought up to speed on what has potentialy been discovered at Winter Lake and who knows....the Europeans could lead the charge on the up side here when they realize the potential of this discovery !!!

GGL under accumulation by large interests!!

High volume days with a uptick then a light day with a small down tick tells me someone hitting the market then letting it drift. Remember Ray may not need anymore money at this time as he has stated in The Northern Miner, he "expects to reap about $8 million from the exerise of outstanding warrants and stock options" also Ray has been known for his supprises just like the one Apr 4th.

Don't give away your shares, someone eating the food right off your table. Ask yourselves, will GGL's shares be worth more when the drill cores are in a lab???

GGL Moves Ahead With Exploration and Strategic Plans for Recently Discovered Prospective Nickel Belt

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 30, 2007) - The Company (GGL Diamond Corp.) (TSX VENTURE:GGL) ("GGL") is pleased to report that it is proceeding with exploration plans related to its recently announced discovery of nickel mineralization in the Northwest Territories (See news release GGL Diamond, April 4, 2007 at http://www.ggldiamond.com/press-release.cfm)..
Ray Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond, reports that the Company is also proceeding with financing activities related to the recent discovery as well as work on its diamond exploration program.

The Company is aggressively proceeding with plans to explore the prospective nickel belt; its exploration team will be mobilized to Yellowknife in early June to begin field work shortly thereafter. The exploration program will include sampling of iron-stained (gossanous) bedrock exposures and orientation surveys in preparation for a drill program.

As outlined in the earlier news release, a number of factors suggest that this discovery may possibly be the first new nickel area discovered in Canada since Voisey's Bay in 1994. The Company has worked to confirm its initial geological assessment of the significance of this discovery and has staked additional claims to cover the most prospective portions of the belt. This staking has now been completed and the Company's claims now cover an area about 80 km in length and up to 20 km in width.

The discovery lies within an extensive belt of rocks previously identified by a mapping project funded by the Geological Survey of Canada. This project reported the Winter Lake area as having the potential for hosting magmatic nickel mineralization. An outcome of this project was The Slave Craton Interpretive bedrock compilation map, produced by Mike Stubley of Stubley Geosciences for the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office, and published in 2005. It describes the geological and structural setting of the belt of rocks hosting the nickel mineralization and allows for the comparison with similar geological terranes hosting nickel deposits worldwide. The mapping of the Winter Lake belt included in Stubley's compilation was carried out between 1992 and 1994 by Blair Hrabi et al. and was published in December 1999. It is important to note and to support these mapping programs throughout Canada, inasmuch as they provide valuable contributions to the knowledge and economic wealth of our country.

As noted previously, the current and future demand for sulphide nickel is well demonstrated and the recent recognition of sulphide nickel potential on the Company's new claims may be indicative of a new nickel area, one of the first discovered in Canada since Voisey's Bay. Current evidence confirms that additional exploratory work is warranted. The Company believes it has a prospective area for nickel mineralization and will be implementing a plan of exploration to test these targets.

The Company also intends to advance its excellent opportunities to find a diamond deposit. Increasing shareholder value with the new commodities may create the synergy needed to successfully complete all our projects.

The Qualified Persons for the Company are, Torrie Chartier, MSc., MBA, P.Geol., Consulting Geologist, and N. C. Carter, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

      About GGL

Roman Friedrich & Co. to Provide Strategic and Capital Financing Counsel to GGL
Friday June 1, 8:30 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 1, 2007) - Ray Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GGL - News; "GGL"), is pleased to report that the Company has contracted Roman Friedrich & Company Ltd. ("RFC") to act as a financial advisor to assist in the identification of strategic options and the raising of equity capital and project financing.

RFC principal Roman Friedrich, a highly regarded investment banker with expertise in the mining and metals industries, is providing advice to the Company regarding all strategic options available to it.

The Company has three distinctly different and worthy mineral exploration projects - a recently staked area prospective for nickel, diamond properties in the Northwest Territories, and long-standing gold and copper prospect area at McConnell Creek, in British Columbia. As the market value of GGL does not currently reflect the potential inherent in these properties, the Company is exploring various strategic options in order to best serve shareholder interests and increase shareholder value. RFC will provide its expertise in that effort.

Meanwhile, the Company is proceeding with immediate plans to explore both the prospective nickel belt and its diamond properties; its exploration team will be mobilized to Yellowknife in early June to begin fieldwork shortly thereafter (See News Release GGL Diamond, May 31, 2007 at http://www.ggldiamond.com/press-release.cfm).

      About GGL

GGL is a junior exploration company based in Vancouver. In terms of its nickel prospects, the Company recently completed staking an area about 80 km in length and up to 20 km in width in the Winter Lake area of the Northwest Territories, Canada. Since 1992 and until recently, the Company's primary focus has been on exploring for diamonds on the Slave Craton in the Northwest Territories. In terms of diamond exploration, GGL today holds a 100% interest in approximately 400,000 acres of mineral claims and leases and a 40% carried interest (De Beers Canada Inc. 60%) in leases containing 12,757 acres. GGL also has a 100% interest in the McConnell Creek gold and porphyry copper property within the highly mineralized Quesnel Trough in north-central British Columbia and located 15km south of the Kemess South gold-copper mine.

Ray is in a bit of a dilemma, he wishes to use the interest in GGL's nickel discovery to help fund the diamond & gold/copper projects as in $15 to $20 mill? In the past GGL has used small snippets of funding for exploration then ran back to the market at the wrong time when the money ran out. Roman Friedricks will provide counsel on the best way to fund all these projects. I believe this is a good strategy in that GGL has good projects and obtaining proper funding to successfully pursue all their exploration prospects. With the interest in this new Nickel property and in conjuction with a larger financing the timing may have us looking at 1 for 2 stock consolidation in GGL overall which may be a good thing. IMHO

If we discover an asset(nickel) that has any value and someone comes along and offers us $1,$2, or $5 billion in a takeover, what does it matter if we have a small consolidation!! JMHO

GGL Receives Promising EM Data on Recently Discovered Prospective Nickel Belt
      08:30 EDT Thursday, June 14, 2007

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 14, 2007) - The Company (GGL Diamond Corp.) (TSX VENTURE:GGL) ("GGL") is pleased to announce that a preliminary report on its nickel belt in the Northwest Territories has identified additional electro-magnetic (EM) targets that may be associated with nickel mineralization.

The report, by Condor Consulting, Inc., covers the reassessment of Resolve(TM) frequency-domain EM surveys carried out on the Winter Lake and adjoining Zip project areas, located west of the Ekati Mine. Given that nickel deposits are most often associated with very high conductivities, the new work focused on extracting the most conductive features from the data. This resulted in the identification of targets covering 32 km of strike length that may be associated with nickel mineralization.

The airborne EM and magnetic surveys were completed at very detailed 60-metre line spacing, originally undertaken to assist in the location of kimberlite pipes. This level of detailed coverage has proved to be a bonus in the interpretation for sulphide nickel mineralization.

The original EM data were reprocessed to resolve the highest conductivities in the presence of very strong magnetic responses. Next, the EM data were examined for the most conductive and magnetic anomalies. From this work, a number of target zones were identified in the surveyed areas that may be associated with nickel mineralization. Soil samples confirm the presence of nickel in the areas sampled.

Further work including ground checking is now in progress. This work is the first step in the exploration plans related to the recently announced discovery of nickel mineralization (See news release GGL Diamond, April 4, 2007 at http://www.ggldiamond.com/press-release.cfm).

As outlined in the earlier news release, a number of factors suggest that this discovery may possibly be the first new nickel area discovered in Canada since Voisey's Bay in 1994. The Company has worked to confirm its initial geological assessment of the significance of this discovery and staked additional claims to cover the most prospective portions of the belt. As noted previously, the current and future demand for sulphide nickel is well demonstrated and the recent recognition of sulphide nickel potential on the Company's new claims may be indicative of a new nickel area.

The Qualified Persons for the Company are, Torrie Chartier, MSc., MBA, P.Geol., Consulting Geologist, and N. C. Carter, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

This from a high priced news letter Apr!!

Traders who know the sector have become more fearless about taking on
concepts. The outstanding example last week was GGL Diamonds (GGL-V) that turned over 89 million shares in the last two days of the week to rise from 15 cents to a high of $1.50 and close Thursday of 76 cents. The company garnered a $75 MM valuation ($100 MM fully diluted) on the basis of a “discovery sample” returning 0.48% nickel in Canada’s Northwest Territory. The release did indicate a significant potential at a technical level since the sample has high nickel-to-sulphur and some other elemental ratios that are the hallmarks of viable deposits, and there is evidence the belt has scale based on the area they have staked. But that type of revaluation is usually saved for at least some degree of trench results returning economic grade, thickness and trend length numbers. What we are seeing is a strong appetite for the kind of “discovery” that might kick off an area play, which given an immediate Canadian press coverage on GGL must have had some feeling this was “it”. This is a situation worth keeping an eye on, but given no new information is likely before mid to late summer we frankly don’t know how to play it in the interim.

      Late summer for the Nickel.

Could be another big run with Copper/Gold news from BC ??

GGL Reports on Activities for the Second Quarter Ended May 31, 2007
Tuesday July 31, 8:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 31, 2007) - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GGL - News), has reported on the activities of the Company for the second quarter ended May 31, 2007 and on events taking place subsequently, up to July 26.

Below are highlights of the second quarter report, available in full on the GGL website (www.ggldiamond.com):

      Nickel exploration, Northwest Territories, Canada

The Company is now actively exploring the prospective nickel belt in the Winter Lake area of the Northwest Territories. In early June, GGL's exploration team was mobilized and began a reconnaissance exploration program to locate and sample iron-stained gossanous bedrock exposures and do orientation mapping and soil sampling surveys to prioritize areas for ground geophysical surveys. This is being done in preparation for a drill program.

Subsequent to the announcement of the discovery in April of this year, a preliminary report from Condor Consulting, Inc. identified additional electro-magnetic (EM) targets that may be associated with nickel mineralization (News release June 14, 2007: "GGL receives promising EM data on recently discovered prospective nickel belt"). This Geophysical Report on reassessment of electro-magnetic (EM) and magnetic data resulted in the identification of targets, which, together total 32 km of strike length that may be associated with nickel mineralization. This report assisted in the effort to highlight the areas of interest for the summer and fall exploration program.

Some 49 areas over a strike length of 100 km have been selected for examination. The work to date confirms that we have acquired an extensively mineralized belt featuring numerous gossan areas mineralized with sulphides that vary from disseminated to massive. Approximately 200 samples have been taken to date and submitted for assay. Results are expected in early August. Given the size of the property, many of the selected areas have yet to be examined. In addition, not all of the selected high priority geophysical targets are available for surface examinations as they lie under lakes or are hidden by overburden. All of the high priority geophysical selections have the potential to be drill targets. The claims staked in April this year and more recently, do not yet have geophysical coverage but our exploration crews have located sulphides in these areas.

The Company has staked additional mineral claims at the south end of the property and to the east of the main belt where a splay of volcanic rocks extends from the main belt. Sulphides have been located in both these areas.

The only sure way to determine if the samples taken to date contain economic minerals is by assay and these will be reported when received. The potential for an economic mineral deposit in this belt has been enhanced by the discovery of extensive areas of sulphide mineralization that occurs in both volcanic and sedimentary rocks.

As previously noted, the discovery on the Winter Lake claims lies within an extensive belt of rocks previously identified by a mapping project funded by the Geological Survey of Canada and reported as having the potential for hosting magmatic nickel mineralization. An outcome of the project was The Slave Craton Interpretive bedrock compilation map, produced by Mike Stubley of Stubley Geosciences for the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office and published in 2005.

The belt, named the Winter Lake Supracrustal Belt, includes large volumes of mafic and ultramafic rocks, dated as being 2.7 billion years old and including tholeiitic basalts, komatiites, serpentinized peridotite, and gabbro intrusions. The belt features deep-penetrating faults, sulphur-bearing sediments in the form of black shales and massive sulphides. The various rock units within the belt are strongly deformed and have similarities to lithologic sequences that are known to host world-class nickel deposits.

The presence of nickel in sulphide and associated elements, coupled with the chemistry of the mafic and ultramafic rocks in this newly defined belt are indicative of their potential to host significant nickel deposits.

The current and future demand for sulphide nickel is well demonstrated and the recent recognition of sulphide nickel potential on the Company's new claims may be indicative of a new nickel area. The Company believes it has found a major nickel area.

The Qualified Persons for the Company are John Knight, P. Geol., Consulting Geologist and N. C. Carter, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

      Financial position and subsequent events

For the six months ended May 31, 2007, the Company incurred expenses of $336,704 on exploration, 73% lower than in the same period in 2006.

Geldanlage-Report-Kolumne: Nickel - Einstiegschance nach dem Crash!?
      Dienstag 21. August 2007, 09:04 Uhr

      Anzeige
      <a href="http://de.ard.yahoo.com/SIG=12osfuppf/M=200092592.201421344.… src="http://eur.a1.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/a/eu/any/pioneeravicd330… width=300 height=250 border=0></a>

      Press Release -
      Nickel belt exploration moving forward

      Nickel belt exploration moving forward

      - Rock and soil samples being analyzed to guide future work

      - Aurora Geosciences to augment field work on nickel properties

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada (August 23, 2007) - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX-V: GGL) is pleased to provide an update on the Company’s continuing exploration on the prospective nickel belt in the Winter Lake area of the Northwest Territories, Canada.

      Sample analysis - nickel property

Work to date continues to confirm that we have acquired an extensively mineralized greenstone belt featuring numerous gossan areas mineralized with sulphides that vary from disseminated to massive, with the potential to host nickel as well as other base and precious metals.

As previously reported, in June, GGL’s exploration team began a program of “reconnaissance” work on the nickel belt property, to locate and sample gossans (rusty zones overlying a sulphide deposit) and to do orientation mapping and additional soil sampling.

Since mid-June, three sets of rock samples have been collected on the property by GGL’s field crews. A total of 346 rock samples have been submitted for assay. To date, the Company has received reports on only part of the requested assay procedures from the first of the three sets of samples and is currently evaluating those results.

The delay is due to the current high demand for analytical services at the laboratory.

Three sets of soil samples, for a total of 963 samples, have also been taken; the results from the first set of soil samples have not all been received as of this date. The Company awaits receipt of the remainder of the first set of results as well as reports for the second and third sets of rock and soil samples.

The rock and soil sample results, which include, at a minimum, numerical representations for 39 elements, as well as follow-up reports, will be compiled, located, studied in detail and then viewed together, when all of the results have been received. This analysis will help to guide the next phase of the project, and assist in prioritizing areas where ground geophysical surveys are needed and in preparation for a drilling program.

Before the Company issues any results publicly, the exploration results must be examined by the Company’s Qualified Persons for the nickel project. The Company is proceeding as quickly as it can, while being responsible and diligent, and acting in the interests of all shareholders.

GGL’s Winter Lake property includes 116 claims and covers 256,489.77 acres. Given the size of the nickel property (120 km from the north to the south end of the property and an average of 30 km in width), the design of an effective program requires that the Company adhere to a logical sequence of steps in the exploration process.

The reconnaissance mapping and sampling work represents a significant project in itself. (For photographs and maps of the nickel property, please see the PowerPoint presentation made at the Annual General Meeting on July 31. Go to: http://ggldiamond.ca/agm/AGM_FINAL_2007.pdf . Page 68 provides an idea of the size of the property - when a map of the nickel property is superimposed on a section of the British Columbia Fraser Valley, which extends from Vancouver to Hope.)

Not all of the previously identified high priority geophysical conductors are accessible for surface examination because they lie under lakes or are hidden by overburden. Consequently, geochemical sampling will be required to prioritize these areas. All of these priority geophysical conductors have the potential to be drill targets.

The claims staked in April this year and since then do not yet have geophysical coverage. However, our exploration crews have succeeded in locating and sampling sulphides in these areas.

      Aurora Geosciences contract

To augment its own resources in the exploration of the Winter Lake nickel belt, the Company is contracting with Aurora Geosciences Ltd. (“Aurora”) of Yellowknife, NT, and Whitehorse, Yukon, for project management, geological, and geophysical services. Aurora has been providing consulting and contracting services to the mineral exploration industry for over 24 years.

In addition, Aurora President Gary Vivian, P. Geol., will also be acting as a Qualified Person (QP) for GGL on the nickel projects going forward.

      Correction re. Qualified Persons (QP)

Mr. Hrkac notes that an individual was erroneously identified as acting for GGL as a “Qualified Person” (QP) in a GGL Diamond Corp. news release dated July 31, 2007.

To clarify, the individuals acting as Qualified Persons for the Company (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) are Torrie Chartier, M.Sc., P. Geol., for the diamond projects; N.C. Carter, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist, and Gary Vivian, P. Geol., of Aurora Geosciences Ltd. for the nickel projects; and Paul Richardson, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist, for GGL’s gold-copper projects.

GGL Obtains NI 43-101 Report, on its Gold-Copper Property at McConnell Creek, British Columbia
Wednesday September 5, 8:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 5, 2007) - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. ("GGL") (TSX VENTURE:GGL - News), is pleased to announce that it has obtained a National Instrument 43-101 compliant report on exploration activities to date on GGL's McConnell Creek property, British Columbia. The McConnell Creek gold-copper property is in the Omineca Mining Division, British Columbia. The property is 780 km north of Vancouver, BC, and is 400 km northwest of Prince George. Access from Vancouver is by paved highway to Fort St. James and then by good gravel road to the Kemess mine area.

The information provided on the exploration activities on the McConnell Creek property is contained in a Technical Report dated August 30, 2007 authored by Paul W. Richardson, Ph.D., P.Eng., a qualified person who is not independent of GGL. The Technical Report will be filed on www.sedar.com within the next few days. The following is a summary of certain information contained in the Technical Report:

      Summary

The report is a review of the results of the exploration programs conducted on GGL's 100% owned McConnell Creek property from the time of the discovery of bedrock gold on the property in 1947 up to the present. The property was acquired by GGL Diamond Corp., formerly named Gerle Gold Ltd., in 1981.

The McConnell Creek property is 15 km long, and covers a roof pendant of metamorphosed basic volcanic rocks and related sediments which is about 600 m wide and is bounded by monzodioritic rocks. Ultramafic rocks occur in the area. The rocks of the roof pendant have been metamorphosed to amphibolite gneiss, and host several shear zones including the one hosting the main gold showing. High-grade copper showings are exposed along McConnell Creek west of the roof pendant. This combination of mixed volcanic and sedimentary rocks cut by regional structures plus the presence of ultramafic rocks in the area greatly increases the importance of any gold and copper showings on the property.

Since 1983, the band of amphibolite gneiss has been explored by geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys on widely spaced lines and by trenching and diamond drilling. Zones of gold-bearing quartz veins were partially outlined and the veins continue to depth and along strike beyond the drilled area. Soil geochemical surveys were done to extend the gold-bearing zones and to explore for new ones. The geochemical surveys revealed extensive copper-in-soil geochemical anomalies that only partially coincide with the known gold mineralization. The main quartz zone appears to be only one of several gold-bearing quartz zones in a branching quartz vein system several kilometres long.

The 1983 soil sample results outlined gold-in-soil anomalies spatially related to the quartz veins plus irregularly scattered single-sample anomalies elsewhere in the area of the gneiss. The soil samples were analyzed for gold only. In 1989, a program of more closely-spaced soil samples was done. These later samples were analyzed for Ag, As, Au, Cu, Pb and Zn, but not for Mo, a metal of increasing interest in porphyry deposits. It was decided that additional work on the available soil sample pulp rejects could give valuable information about metal distribution on the property. The program of doing additional analyses was begun in 2005 by recovering and analyzing 1,605 samples that had been collected on the Central and South grids in 1989. The approach was cost-effective, and it was decided to do a similar program on the area north of Snowslide Creek for which stored soil pulps were also available. Additional analyses were performed on stored pulps from 1,713 soil samples that had been collected in 1983. These results were plotted on a series of 1:10,000 maps in order to compare the amounts of the various elements with each other and with the geology and geophysics. In 1991, GGL staked a high-grade copper occurrence with Cu-Au porphyry potential exposed along McConnell Creek west of the roof pendant. The copper occurs in a series of branching, sulphide-rich veinlets cutting granodiorite.

With the development of the large Cu-Au Kemess mine 15 km northwest of the McConnell Creek property, road access to the McConnell area has been greatly improved and a power line, which passes eight km west of the McConnell Creek property, services the mine. With this improved access and with high-grade copper mineralization outcropping along McConnell Creek, plus several copper-in-soil geochemical anomalies associated with the extensive gold-bearing quartz vein system, the McConnell Creek property has become a good exploration target.

There are areas of copper and gold mineralization and geophysical and geochemical anomalies that have not yet been tested. The Cu-in-soil and Au-in-soil anomalies only partially exhibit a spatial relationship. The gold is related to a series of branching conductors within the roof pendant, but the copper is more closely related to east-west cross faulting in the vicinity of the gold showings. A separate area rich in copper lies three kilometres west of the gold showing adjacent to McConnell Creek. To explore the property, the next steps should include geochemical surveying, induced polarization surveys and diamond drilling. The soil geochemical survey should investigate the area between the gold showing and the copper showing and other areas where geochemical anomalies are open.

The costs of the above program would be as follows:

      Stage I

      A. Geochemistry
      1,550 samples @ $27.75/sample $ 42,200
      B. Geophysics
      58 km of Induced Polarization @ $4,000/km $ 232,000
      ---------

      Total Stage 1 $ 274,200

      Stage II

      Diamond Drilling - assume 20 holes @ 100 m equals
      2,000 m @ $250/m $ 500,000
      ---------

      Total Stage I and II $ 774,200
      15% Contingency $ 116,130
      ---------
      Grand Total $ 890,330
      ---------
      ---------

The McConnell Creek property includes a geological environment that has the potential for hosting both large porphyry gold-copper deposits and large gold deposits consisting of high grade shoots within complex reticulating shear zones up to tens of metres wide. Exploration work on the property has confirmed the presence of widespread gold and copper mineralization of two separate types.

It's interesting to read other peoples point of view,... ["over 30 years of garbage collecting" with it's great 70 year old leader.] so based on that, no confidence!!

If one were to go back a year or two where I had post that GGL was like a owning a recource fund with tremendous potental. GGL had diverse land holdings 100% owned and that not one project would end their chances. All Mother Nature had to do was place the goods under one of the properties!!

I ask, how many Voisey Bays have come along in the last 15 years? How many billions have been spent since looking for a Elephant play like Voisey Bay or millions spent looking for Diamonds in the NWT's and come up EMPTY ?

I see things differently, GGL's stock price was beaten up not because of it's managent but because of the tipe of exploration it was in, diamonds being one of the hardest to find!!

When GGL was down at .13, others saw "garbage" I saw opportunity and added to my "garbage" collection at that time. That's how I wound up with now owning over 400K (thanks to recent buying) with a cost under .20 .

Now if you forget GGL's past and look at what Mother Nature may have given GGL and it's "70 year old leader" this could be one of the largest hidden treasures in in all of Canada,.. hidden way up in the NWT!!

Just do your own DD based on Winter Lake, not from past endeavors and you may see this as a mammoth opportunity!!!

      Press Release -
GGL reports on activities for the third quarter ended Aug. 31, 2007

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX-V: GGL) has reported on the activities of the Company for the third quarter ended Aug. 31, 2007 and on events taking place subsequently, up to October 22, 2007.

Below are highlights of the third quarter report, available in full on the GGL website (www.ggldiamond.com):

Nickel exploration, Northwest Territories, Canada - the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB)

Exploration work to date has confirmed and enhanced the potential for magmatic nickel deposits.

Reconnaissance mapping has shown that the komatiites within the greenstone belt, which we are now calling the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB), are much more extensive than previously noted and commonly contain geochemically anomalous nickel values. Economic nickel sulphide deposits associated with komatiitic rocks in greenstone belts are a substantial source of the world’s nickel supply. In nickel exploration, the recognition of the presence ofkomatiites is of great importance.

For a rich concentration of magmatic nickel sulphides, a source of sulphur is required. Disseminated to massive sulphides are common within the belt and we have confirmed that this requirement has been met.

The komatiites occur as north- to northeast-trending linear belts, which are typically outlined by strong magnetic anomalies. Sporadic rock outcrops of komatiites were found along some of the belts. The areas of coincident EM conductors and magnetic anomalies are prime areas for exploration.

Geochemical analyses received to date for rock samples collected from komatiites show anomalous total nickel values of between 800 and 4600 ppm (parts per million) Ni.

      Polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphides (VMS)

The central portion of the claims, which is flanked on the east and west by linear komatiite belts, features a strong geophysical conductor 15 km long and up to 500 m wide in the form of a figure eight. Bedrock exposures along this conductor were found to contain disseminated to massive sulphides consisting mainly of pyrrhotite and pyrite with some sphalerite and chalcopyrite. Available results of rock samples show some anomalous copper values of up to 0.5%, zinc values to 1.3%, and silver values to 6 grams/tonne.

In the past, this VMS base metals area attracted the interest of several majors and a few junior mining companies and some test holes were drilled. We find this past activity highly encouraging, particularly as it occurred during a time of significantly lower commodity prices. Although nickel will be the prime focus of our exploration, the model for VMS deposits is well understood and the geology in the area is highly favourable for economic base metal deposits. Therefore, more work will be directed here as well.

This season, 547 rock samples were collected on claims within the PGB, of which the assay results for 117 samples, including a number of channel samples, have yet to be received. In addition, 973 soil samples and 127 lake sediment samples were collected. Soil sample results are now being plotted, but the assay results for the lake sediment samples have not been received.

As noted in a previous news release, the process of analyzing the results was slowed by processing delays at the laboratory, which experienced unexpectedly high demand for analytical services during the past few months. Although we originally estimated we would receive all of the results by mid-August, this timetable proved unrealistic in light of the delays we experienced.

Our exploration team is now reviewing and will continue to review the results thoroughly and carefully, in order to plan for the winter/spring exploration program. This analytical work will help us to identify areas where we will need to undertake geophysical surveys, and will assist in the selection of drill targets.

The PGB property includes 116 claims, for a total staked area of 256,489.77 acres; it measures 120 km from the north to the south end of the property with an average width of 30 km.

The Company’s Qualified Person for the nickel project, Dr. Nick Carter, recently toured the Winter Lake property to gain an overview of the project. He filed a brief preliminary memorandum with the Company. In his memo, Dr. Carter was very positive about the area, noting the favourable geology, the consistency of sulphide mineralization relative to conductors, the presence of some geochemically anomalous Ni and Cu/Zn values, all of which confirm that the area is prospective for mineral deposits. He also indicated he was “impressed” with the progress achieved to date in advancing this project.

He wrote: “The large property area will require time for a thorough assessment and it is regrettable that the current sample backup being experienced by all Canadian laboratories means that the field season will come to an end well before most of the results are in hand. Nevertheless, good progress has been made and current efforts to obtain an accurate base map of the project area are well worthwhile. Depth profiling of the various conductive zones by way of detailed surface surveys will be very useful in prioritizing targets for further investigation.

“Work to date confirms the potential for both magmatic nickel and polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits within the project area. In light of available results of past work directed to volcanogenic sulphide mineralization, this writer is of the opinion that the potential for nickel should remain the principal focus of current and future investigations.”

The Qualified Person for the Company’s nickel project is N. C. Carter, Ph.D., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

McConnell Creek Gold-Copper Property, British Columbia, Canada

At the beginning of September, the Company received an NI (National Instrument) 43-101 report on its 100%-owned McConnell Creek gold-copper property (News Release dated Sept. 5, 2007: “GGL obtains NI 43-101 Report on its Gold-Copper Property at McConnell Creek, British Columbia”).

The Technical Report was commissioned by the Company and authored by Paul W. Richardson, Ph.D., P.Eng., a qualified person (QP) who is not independent of the Company. The full report has been filed and is available on www.sedar.com .

The report reviews the results of the exploration programs conducted on the property from the time of the discovery of bedrock gold on the property in 1947 up to the present. The author concludes that the McConnell Creek property warrants further exploration and recommends an exploration program with an estimated budget of $890,000 for these steps.

      Press Release -

GGL stakes new mineral claims along the Providence Greenstone Belt

In addition to nickel, claims cover geological environments also favorable for VMS and gold mineralization

Vancouver, British Columbia, February 25, 2008- Ray Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX-V:GGL) (“GGL”) is pleased to provide a report on past documentation of the Providence Greenstone Belt mineralization and to announce the acquisition, by staking, of 76,020 acres of new mineral claims which adjoin and extend the main nickel belt land acquired in 2007.

During our 2007 exploration for nickel mineralization in the komatiitic volcanic rocks, it became apparent that the Providence Greenstone Belt (“PGB”) in the Winter Lake area of the NWT also demonstrated potential for hosting gold and VMS (polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulfide) mineralization.

Archean greenstone belts* host much of the earth’s mineral wealth. One of the largest of these in the Canadian Shield is the Abitibi greenstone belt, which is noted not only for its enormous gold production - in excess of 60 million ounces - but also for the large VMS base and precious metal deposits of Noranda and Kidd Creek. The Abitibi belt is also known for its nickel deposits.

The PGB is one of the world’s few remaining greenstone belts that has seen only limited exploration, with most programs completed between the 1960’s and 1980’s. During this time frame, Izok Lake (Nunavut), Canada’s richest undeveloped VMS deposit (11.4% Zn, 2.2% Cu, 1.1% Pb, 60 g/t Ag), was discovered. Zinifex, a large Australian mining company, now owns the deposit and is studying the feasibility of bringing it into production.

*Greenstone Belts: large geologic formations composed of altered mafic to ultramafic volcanic sequences with associated sedimentary rocks that occur within Archean and Proterozoic cratons (4 billion to 600million year old rocks) between granite and gneiss bodies; Archean greenstone belts host much of the Earth’s mineral wealth.

      NICKEL

The potential for komatiite-hosted nickel and copper mineralization, our first priority, is now known to be far more extensive than we initially thought. Exploration work has identified a number of belts of komatiite volcanics across the GGL claims whereas previously, the only reported occurrences were confined to the western side of the property. Detailed sampling of the komatiites has demonstrated that they have the right chemistry to host nickel deposits.

Several large potential nickel sulfide zones, 2 km or more in length, have been indicated by geophysical signatures which are coincident with favourable geological conditions. These areas will be further defined by an advanced geophysical survey system, which is scheduled to get underway next month.

      VMS

East of the komatiite belt in the western property area, a large (15 km long) “figure eight” geophysical anomaly, referred to in previous press releases, reflects an area of VMS potential that has returned zinc values of up to 1.2% and up to 0.5% copper as well as anomalous silver values. Soil and lake sediment sampling, in areas along the anomaly where rock exposures are obscured by lakes and overburden, has indicated new target areas for exploration. Noteworthy is the fact that along the entire 15 km length of the geophysical anomaly, massive to semi-massive sulphides, containing pyrrhotite and pyrite along with sphalerite and chalcopyrite, are found wherever rock exposures are seen.

PREVIOUS EXPLORATION (Note: Although assays reported below from assessment reports in government files are not 43-101 compliant, they are part of a historical record, which may or may not indicate the presence of as yet to be discovered economic deposits.)

The last commodities boom to spark intensive exploration in this part of the NWT occurred between 1962 and 1982. Exploration activity then slowly declined as commodity prices dropped to historic lows during the 1990’s. The 20-year period of “high prices” encouraged explorers to investigate potential new mineral belts and large companies including Texasgulf Inc., Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd., Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas, and a few medium-sized and junior companies explored areas of the PGB.

      GOLD

Noranda located an iron formation 25 to 40 meters wide, which was traced by geophysics for 3 km in 1989, but the lack of bedrock exposure prevented most of the target areas from being examined further. Samples collected by Noranda at the time returned up to 0.12 oz/t Au over 3.3 feet (1 meter), and grab samples of up to 0.52 oz/t Au. The gold-bearing iron formation extends from within claims currently held by Zinifex and onto recently located GGL claims.

Iron formations have been documented on both previously staked GGL claims and the new claims. Some 40 km south of the aforementioned Noranda gold discovery, GGL’s crew collected a grab sample from a poorly exposed 3 m by 1 m rusty sulfide exposure containing arsenopyrite that assayed 22 gm/tonne (0.64 oz/ton) Au. These and other identified gold-bearing iron formations plus potential gold-bearing shear zones along a number of strong structural fault breaks are typical of Archean greenstone belts.

      VMS

In 1977, Texasgulf Inc. explored for VMS deposits in several areas on the greenstone belt south of the Izok Lake discovery.

One of these, which is now situated on GGL’s newly acquired claims, was reported to consist of a 4 m to 5 m thick sulfide zone discontinuously exposed over a length of 2km. Grab samples from this area, collected by a junior company in 1997, were reported as containing significant values of gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead. Values from four grab samples included:

      - gold values of between 103 ppb and 4.79g/t Au,

      - 8.9g/t to 165g/t Ag,

      - 0.09% to 3.34% Cu,

      - 0.01% to 0.48% Pb and

      - 0.32% to 11.3% Zn.

Texasgulf Inc. explored a VMS deposit by trenching and drilling some four kilometres north of the above exposures between 1977 and 1979. The trenching program exposed a 2.34 m wide, semi-massive sulfide zone that averaged 3.59% Cu, 6.22% Zn and 1.82 oz/ton Ag. A subsequent nine hole drilling program returned results that were sufficiently encouraging for the operator to apply for a one square km lease, currently owned by Xstrata. GGL’s new claims completely surround this lease.

      SUMMARY

GGL was first attracted to the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) in the search for diamonds and results of indicator mineral samples have confirmed the potential for kimberlites. This diamond exploration work led to the discovery of sulfide nickel in komatiites, an ultramafic volcanic which is the host rock for nickel deposits currently being mined in the Thompson, Manitoba belt, the Cape Smith (Raglan) district in Nunavik area of far northern Quebec, the Abitibi belt in Ontario and the Eastern Goldfields Province in Australia (Kambalda, Mt. Keith).

The first GGL field season devoted to exploration for nickel on the PGB - a scant three months in 2007 - led to the recognition that the belt has potential not only for nickel, but also for gold and VMS mineralization. The above mentioned reported mineralization on what turned out to be open ground, provided us with an opportunity that was too valuable to miss and led us to take an aggressive approach to land acquisition.

The CMR (Canada Mining Regulations) that govern the NWT allow for the grouping of only two mineral claims regardless of the money spent on a claim. This is one of the few jurisdictions to maintain such a prohibitive regulation, particularly in view of the extremely limited snow-free season. The airborne geophysical survey, scheduled to begin in March, is designed not only to locate drill targets but also to satisfy assessment work requirements in order to maintain the claims for at least several years. This will allow the Company to find and focus on areas of highest priority.

The independent Qualified Person for the Company for the PGB project is N.C. Carter, PhD., P. Eng., Consulting Geologist.

      Project Status

Research, consultation, reconnaissance mapping, ground surveys, and samples taken in the 2007 exploration season all confirm the initial geological assessment of the significance of the discovery.

In 2008, with the proceeds of $2.8 million raised in a flow-through private placement, GGL plans to expand the 3D airborne geophysics coverage of the Providence Greenstone Belt, take additional samples as needed, identify and prioritize drill targets, and drill.

The presence of nickel in sulphides and associated elements in komatiites are indicative of the potential to host significant nickel deposits.

The property holds significant potential for both magmatic nickel and polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits (VMS). Reconnaissance mapping has shown that the komatiites within the greenstone belt are much more extensive than previously noted and commonly contain geochemically anomalous nickel values. (In nickel exploration, the recognition of the presence of komatiites is of great importance.)

Nickel and VMS deposits respond well to geophysics, giving strong magnetic and electromagnetic (EM) responses. The Fugro Airborne Resolve Geophysical Survey, previously completed for diamond exploration, covered approximately 30% of the length of the claims staked within the PGB. Reprocessing of the data by Condor Consulting in the spring of 2007, gave direction to the 2007 field program and resulted in finding numerous exposures of sulphide mineralization coincident with EM and magnetic anomalies. A great number of the geophysical conductors are hidden under lakes and overburden.

The Company will be expanding the geophysical coverage of the claims by using an airborne depth penetrating system to further focus exploration toward the discovery of nickel deposits. (This scheduled to take place in March 2008.):eek:

In the 2007 exploration season, a total of 547 rock samples, including several channel samples, plus 973 soil and 127 lake sediment samples were collected. The assay results will help identify areas requiring geophysical surveys and will assist in the selection of drill targets for the future.

Geochemical analyses received to date for rock samples collected from komatiites show anomalous total nickel values of between 800 and 4600 ppm Ni.

Delays in receiving assay results from the laboratory in 2007 precluded a fall drilling program. Plans are moving forward to undertake an aggressive 2008 exploration program.

GGL Reports on Activities for the Year Ended Nov. 30, 2007
Wednesday March 26, 8:01 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 26, 2008) - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GGL - News) has reported on the activities of the Company for the year ended Nov. 30, 2007 and on events taking place subsequently, up to March 17, 2008.

In his Letter to Shareholders, Mr. Hrkac described the past year as both "exhilarating and frustrating" and as a year in which the Company set a course he believes "will produce the best returns for our shareholders".

During fiscal 2007, the Company incurred exploration expenses on its mineral properties of $1,431,837, 48% less than the previous year.

Below are highlights from the year-end report, available in full on the new GGL website (www.ggldiamond.ca) and on SEDAR:

      - 2007 exploration work on the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) in the Northwest Territories confirmed the potential not only for magmatic nickel, but also for gold and polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits (VMS). As an example, a grab sample taken on the PGB from a poorly exposed rusty sulfide exposure containing arsenopyrite assayed 22 gm/tonne (0.64 oz/ton) Au.

      - Reconnaissance mapping on the PGB showed that the potential for komatiite-hosted nickel and copper mineralization within the belt is much more extensive than was originally thought.

      - During the 2007 exploration season, 1,647 rock, soil and lake sediment samples were collected; these results are helping to direct the 2008 PGB exploration program, which has begun (March 2008) with a geophysical survey on areas of the PGB not previously surveyed.

      - Early in 2008, an additional 76,020 acres were staked in areas adjoining the PGB, bringing the total of GGL's 100%-owned PGB claim area to 428,879 acres.

      - The Company continues to explore how to proceed on its promising diamond properties in the NWT for the benefit of shareholders.

      - Following receipt of the NI 43-101 report filed in September 2007, the Company is embarking on a $1+ million exploration program on the Company's McConnell Creek gold/copper property in BC.

      - Having raised over $4 million in a non-brokered private placement of flow-through shares at the end of 2007, the Company is proceeding with geophysical surveying on the PGB and has plans to drill the property in August 2008.

Mr. Hrkac also noted in his Report that although the market does not currently recognize the value of GGL's projects and opportunities, "we have confidence we are well positioned for 2008 and for the coming years."

This week in the Northern Miner there is a large map of (Northern Canada Diamonds:
Nunavut and Northwest Territories) Minning and Exploration Activity. Feb 2008.

The map shows the large land mass GGL Diamond has at (The Lac Gras/Slave Area) only in Nickel.

Artic Star has such a small portion of the belt (according to the map) $500 K is 20 times more then GGL is spending per acre. GGL clames are next door to BHP Billition diamond properties and are more N-S in driction. One can see were GGL has a large land holdings in the area, BHP is the largest land holder in the diamond area but GGL may be the largest land holder in Nickel.

Great Map worth buying The Northern Miner this week.

GGL reports on the second quarter; drilling expected to start mid-August

      July 31, 2008
      download PDF (34.7031KB) »
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada – Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX-V: GGL) has reported on the activities of the Company for the second quarter ended May 31, 2008 and on events taking place subsequently, up to and including July 24, 2008. Details and the full quarterly report are available on the GGL website (www.ggldiamond.ca) and on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).

      Exploration highlights:

Based at our Zip Camp, our geology teams, including crews from the consulting firm of Aurora Geosciences Ltd., continue to work on GGL’s claims on the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) in the Northwest Territories (NT), where the Company holds a total of 426,104.88 acres.
A total of 30 high conductance VTEM (Versatile time-domain electromagnetic) geophysical targets have been identified and ranked from the preliminary data from the survey completed earlier this year. Of these targets, 17 have been assigned a high to moderate-high ranking and include high conductance, large, discrete targets for potential nickel and VMS mineral deposits. Ground evaluation of the targets is in progress, with separate field crews evaluating the nickel, VMS and gold potential of the area.
Drilling on the first of several large VTEM targets is expected to begin about the second or third week of August.
At GGL’s prospective copper/gold property at McConnell Creek in north central British Columbia, a ground geophysical Induced Polarization (IP) survey will start upon completion of the survey grid lines, which is now in progress. A drill program to test one of the large copper geochemical anomalies is planned upon completion of the geophysical survey.
The Company is actively seeking partners for its promising diamond properties in the NT for the benefit of shareholders.
Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) - Northwest Territories, Canada

Exploration work in 2007 confirmed and enhanced the potential for magmatic nickel deposits associated with komatiites and also established that the PGB, in common with many greenstone belts, has the potential for VMS (copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold) deposits and for gold deposits associated with both iron formation and major structural shear zones.

The realization of the varied economic potential of the area led the Company to take an aggressive approach to land acquisition. Claim-staking programs in both 2007 and 2008 involved the acquisition of a total of 426,104.88 acres over a length of 120km of the PGB. Nickel in particular and VMS deposits in general are prime candidates for geophysical surveys. To move the exploration forward as efficiently and quickly as possible, the Company budgeted up to $1.5 million to complete a state-of-the-art airborne geophysical survey during the winter and spring of this year.

The results of this survey have been exceptional for the number of isolated, discrete, high conductance geophysical anomalies. At this stage of exploration, this is a most successful outcome. Geotech Ltd. (Aurora, Ontario) completed the VTEM (Versatile time-domain electromagnetics (EM)) and magnetic survey on behalf of GGL.

Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) – Nickel
Rock samples collected during 2007 and sent for whole rock and multi-element assays defined areas within komatiitic sequences that featured geochemical signatures favourable for nickel mineralization. This work, together with government mapping that identified the komatiite trends, assisted in the identification of VTEM geophysical anomalies that might be associated with nickel deposits.

The Company is exploring for magmatic nickel deposits, which consist mainly of the sulphide mineral pyrrhotite (composed of iron and sulfur and at times magnetic and having a bronze color). It is pyrrhotite that is most commonly responsible for high conductance anomalies. Nickel sulphides (mainly pentlandite, an iron-nickel-sulfur mineral) are often associated with pyrrhotite and when they occur in sufficient quantities, make economic ore deposits.

Geophysics then can detect areas of high conductance which are commonly, but not always, associated with pyrrhotite and the pyrrhotite may be associated with nickel sulphides minerals. This is the risk associated with nickel exploration.

The positive exploration results to date are supportive of the potential for economic nickel deposits and, as discussed in the quarterly report, we are also encouraged by the VTEM results for VMS mineralization as indicated by geophysical responses over known sulphide mineralization.

Condor Consulting Inc. of Lakewood, Colorado, a group of geophysicists with extensive experience with nickel deposits, has made a first pass, preliminary assessment of the VTEM data and target selection. To date, 30 moderate to high conductance anomalies have been identified and the selection, modeling and evaluation is continuing. The final interpretation of the data from the VTEM survey is expected shortly but changes, if any, are expected to be minor.

Limiting the selection of potential VTEM targets prospective for nickel to only those areas that the Company’s geologists have been able to associate with komatiites, we arrive at eight high to moderate-high conductance VTEM targets.

These targets vary from one half to two kilometers in length including the high priority high conductance EM conductor “61W” reported on in the June 12, 2008 News Release.

All of the eight VTEM targets are being considered for subsequent drill testing starting with 61W. Our field crews are examining, evaluating and selecting drill sites for the various areas. The targets are large and should any one target return positive drill results then extensive drilling to outline a possible deposit would be required

Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) - Polymetallic Volcanogenic Massive Sulphides (VMS)

There are a number of selected VTEM targets that may reflect VMS mineralization and these are being evaluated both by geophysical modeling and in the field by our geological teams.

One of several high conductance VTEM targets (Target TZA) lies within an area of previous exploration dating back to 1977. Non 43-101 compliant grab samples were reported to have assayed up to 11.3% Zn, 3.34% Cu, 165g/t Ag and 4.78g/t Au. This mineralized zone was described as being 4 to 5m thick and was traced intermittently for a strike length of 2km.

The present VTEM TZA target, which has been modeled as a shallow, narrow linear target, is also characterized as a circular deeper high conductance conductor divided into two parts, the larger of which is over 1km in diameter. This is a significant anomaly in an area of known mineralization and as such is a priority target for VMS.

Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) - Gold

In 2007, the Company reported a grab sample that assayed 22 gm/tonne (0.64 oz/ton) Au. The VTEM survey indicates a 1 km long linear conductor in this area which appears to be related to a shear zone. Shear zones commonly host gold deposits in greenstone belts and this area will be subject to further examination.

The independent Qualified Persons for the Company for the PGB project are N.C. Carter, PhD., P.Eng., Consulting Geologist, and Qualified Persons from the consulting firm of Aurora Geosciences Ltd.

Drilling set to go on PGB (NT) nickel and VMS targets; and for copper-gold at McConnell Creek (BC)

Vancouver, British Columbia -- Ray Hrkac, CEO, GGL Diamond Corp. (TSXV: GGL) (“GGL”), is pleased to report that drilling is set to begin this week on a number of high conductance, large, discrete targets for potential nickel and VMS mineral deposits on GGL’s 100%-owned claims on the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) in the Northwest Territories (NT).

A total of 30 moderate to high conductance VTEM (Versatile time-domain electromagnetic) geophysical targets were identified from the state-of-the-art airborne survey completed earlier this year.

One of several large VTEM targets prospective for nickel mineralization, designated as “61W”, will be drilled first. This feature consists of a strong EM conductor hosted within a moderate to low magnetic zone. The “61W” zone has overall dimensions of 1.4 km (NE) by 0.5 km (NW). Modeling of parts of the conductor suggests it is comprised of a number of discrete units some of which are of very high conductance. This area is an extension of areas sampled during the 2007 program, in which ultrabasic rocks were identified as komatiites. The identified komatiites within the Company’s PGB project area have geochemical signatures similar to komatiites that host nickel deposits in similar Archean terranes worldwide.

Exploration work in 2007 and to date in 2008 has confirmed and enhanced the potential for magmatic nickel deposits associated with komatiites and also established that the PGB, in common with many greenstone belts, has the potential for VMS (copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold) deposits and for gold deposits associated with both iron formation and major structural shear zones. The results of the 2008 VTEM airborne survey were exceptional for the number of isolated, discrete, high conductance geophysical anomalies and at this stage of exploration, reflected a most successful outcome.

Drill permit issued for McConnell Creek, BC copper-gold project

At GGL’s prospective copper-gold property at McConnell Creek in north central British Columbia, the drill permit has been issued and GGL is in the process of fulfilling the requirements of that permit. The Company hopes to move the drill into position within the next several days.

t took Arctic Star 22 days from the start of drilling to come up with drill results , GGL should have some news by the 3 ed or 4 th week of Sept. I don't believe we will see anything before then or it could be Oct the way GGL works.:eek:

The VTEM targets are large and should any one target return positive drill results then extensive drilling to outline a possible deposit would be required.

The 61 W could be the area where GGL starts a extensive drill program, nickel at 3-4% would be nice. If one is going to dream I say dream BIG.

Remember, we have a least 30 chances of a discovery at Winter Lake.

GGL's Greenstone Belt at Winter Lake has a lot of similar to Genesis Kambalda Nickel Deposits.

      Genesis of Kambalda Nickel Deposits

Kambalda's nickel deposits are believed to have formed approximately 2.7 billion years ago. The deposits were formed in lava channels, created by 'rivers' of lava that extended for many miles. Under the right circumstances, nickel sulphides pooled at the base of these lava flows, forming ribbon-like lenses of sulphides. Over the eons the landscape on which these rivers of lava and their associated pools of sulphides were formed were buried and folded, so that today the sulphide pools are found in a variety of configurations, from vertical (as at Miitel) to flat-lying but gently plunging (as at Otter-Juan).

Due to the circumstances of their formation, all of Kambalda's ore deposits share certain characteristics, which aids in their exploration. Most importantly, they all occur on the so-called 'basal contact'. This is the contact between the underlying basalt rock (the surface upon which the lava originally flowed, and into which channels were cut by the flowing lava) and the overlying ultramafic rock (known as Komatiite, which was the actual lava that flowed upon the basalt). It is in incised channels in the basalt, on the contact between the basalt and the overlying Komatiite rock, that all Kambalda's significant ore bodies are found. Thus modern exploration for Kambalda style nickel deposits focuses on exploring this basal contact.

GGL Winter Lake Supracrustal Belt NR

The belt, named the Winter Lake Supracrustal Belt, includes large volumes of mafic and ultramafic rocks, dated as being 2.7 billion years old and including tholeiitic basalts, komatiites, serpentinized peridotite, and gabbro intrusions. The belt features deep- penetrating faults, sulphur-bearing sediments in the form of black shales and massive sulphides. The various rock units within the belt are strongly deformed and have similarities to lithologic sequences that are known to host world-class nickel deposits.

Field season ends with new discoveries on PGB (NT)

      October 07, 2008
      download PDF (22.7539KB) »
Vancouver, British Columbia -- Ray Hrkac, CEO, GGL Diamond Corp. (TSXV: GGL) (“GGL”), is pleased to provide a preliminary report on the season’s exploration activities on GGL’s 100%-owned claims on the Providence Greenstone Belt (PGB) in the Northwest Territories (NT) and at McConnell Creek, British Columbia. The field season at both locations ended during the third week of September.

      Providence Greenstone Belt

In addition to the drilling which took place in late August and September, GGL carried out prospecting and mapping for two months on the PGB, documenting at least 100 VTEM airborne targets for geology, alteration, mineralization and setting.

Positive results from the season’s efforts have located new gold and volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) prospects on our PGB claim group. In addition, we made good progress in further defining the geology of this large property, which now comprises 426,104.88 acres over a north-sound length of 120 km. We look forward to planning the next steps in determining the potential for gold mineralization associated with both iron formation and major structural shear zones, plus the potential for magmatic nickel deposits and for polymetallic VMS (copper, zinc, lead, silver and gold) deposits.

The Company will provide a more detailed report when all data and assays are received, compiled, and analyzed.

Two of the prospective nickel targets on the PGB were tested by a total of nine holes drilled in the two locations. Due to a series of unfortunate mechanical breakdowns, compounded by some difficult weather conditions, only one-third of the planned drilling was completed.

Based on preliminary results, the drill program confirmed VTEM conductors delineated by the airborne geophysical survey were indeed caused by highly conductive sulfide minerals. This knowledge will help our future exploration efforts.

Pyrrhotite mineralization principally, but also subordinate pyrite, was intersected in six of the nine drill holes over apparent true widths of between one and 13 metres. The sulfides in the zones are present as bands of massive, disseminated or stringer mineralization. Some of these zones appear more representative of volcanogenic distal exhalite sequences, rather than magmatic sulfide sequences.

The independent Qualified Persons for the Company for the PGB project include N.C. Carter, PhD., P.Eng., Consulting Geologist, plus Qualified Persons from the consulting firm of Aurora Geosciences Ltd. (Gary Vivian, M.Sc., P.Geol., President).

      McConnell Creek, BC copper-gold project

At GGL’s prospective copper-gold property at McConnell Creek in north central British Columbia, the Company has also completed its field work, including diamond drilling, and will report on progress there when all results are received, compiled and analyzed.

GGL Diamond Corp.: New High-Grade Gold Assays Discovered on PGB
Adds to property's high potential for nickel and VMS mineralization

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 30, 2009) - Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GGL - News; "GGL") is pleased to announce that two new discoveries with high-grade gold assays have been made on the Company's Providence Greenstone Belt ("PGB") Property in the Northwest Territories.

Reporting on the activities of the Company for the year ended Nov. 30, 2008 and on events taking place subsequently up to March 23, 2009, Mr. Hrkac said, "The discovery of gold is always an exciting moment. The history of gold camps with subsequent producing gold mines starts with a surface discovery - a good gold assay - and later exploration leads to the definition of deposits."

The gold discoveries were made on a portion of the PGB claims, which cover more than 425 thousand acres (100% owned by GGL), 250 kilometers north of Yellowknife.

The first sample returned an assay of 0.81 oz/ton gold. It was collected 300 meters from another significant gold discovery made in late 2007. That sample returned an assay of 0.66 oz/ton gold. The geology is similar to that of the Red Lake gold camp in Ontario.

The second new gold discovery was made near the shore of a small lake ten kilometers east of GGL's ZIP camp. The first grab sample assayed 1.245 oz/ton gold and a 0.55 meter channel sample in the same area returned 0.58 oz/ton gold. A sample collected across the lake 125 meters to the north assayed 0.18 oz/ton gold.

Two other areas with highly-promising gold potential were examined during the 2008 exploration season, one of which contains a Banded Iron Formation known to be at least four kilometers in length. Banded Iron Formations are well recognized hosts for gold both in the Slave Craton and in greenstone belts of the Superior Province in Ontario and Quebec.

In addition to the new gold discoveries on the PGB property, two significant silver samples were taken during the 2008 season. The first of these, located 4.5 kilometers east of ZIP camp and immediately east of one of the new gold discoveries, assayed 4.8 oz/ton silver. Two grab samples from the second area, 20 kilometers south of ZIP base camp, assayed 6.06 oz/ton silver with 0.013 oz/ton gold and 6.0 oz/ton silver with 0.015 oz/ton gold.

Aurora Geosciences Ltd. of Yellowknife, which has been engaged to evaluate the PGB property, has designated the gold prospects as having high priority for follow-up work.

The gold discoveries made on PGB complement GGL's other highly-prospective gold property, McConnell Creek in British Columbia where samples have been taken which returned assays ranging up to 4.41 oz/ton gold.

The McConnell Creek property has many characteristics of a significant underground (or possibly an open pit) gold deposit. The greenstone-hosted shear zone, with quartz-carbonate veins, has been traced on the wholly owned GGL claims for a length of 12 km and over a width of up to 800 m.

In addition to the significant gold and silver discoveries, the PGB claims host a high potential for magmatic nickel, copper, lead and zinc deposits.

GGL's year-end and latest quarterly report are available at www.ggldiamond.ca and on SEDAR (www.sedar.com).

The independent Qualified Persons for the Company for the PGB project include N.C. Carter, PhD., P.Eng., Consulting Geologist, plus Qualified Persons from the consulting firm of Aurora Geosciences Ltd. (Gary Vivian, M.Sc., P.Geol., President).

GGL DIAMOND CORP GGL 6/17/2009 5:00:06

AMVANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 17, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --

Raymond A. Hrkac, President and CEO of GGL Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GGL) ("GGL") is pleased to announce that GGL has been informed by Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. ("Kennecott") of its intentions to conduct a ground gravity survey on the CH Project Area ("Property") about 250 kilometers north of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

In February, GGL and Kennecott signed an Exploration and Option Agreement which gives Kennecott the sole and exclusive right and option to acquire, subject to Royalties, a 100% interest in the Property, by incurring expenditures of $10,000,000 on or before December 31, 2016, of which $900,000 is a commitment and must be spent on or before December 31, 2011. In order to exercise the option Kennecott must provide GGL additional yearly payments beginning in 2013, to total $1,000,000 on or before December 31, 2016.

Under the direction of Kennecott, GGL has contracted Aurora Geosciences Ltd. to conduct the gravity survey on lake and land-based targets on the Shoe mineral claims, 45 kilometers west of the Diavik Diamond Mine, which hosts the potential for a cluster of diamondiferous kimberlites. Crews have mobilized into the property for the gravity survey which will help define additional targets within the kimberlite indicator mineral train.

The Shoe claims are part of the extensive CH Project area, covering nearly 175,000 acres, which lies within an area measuring 60 km east-west by 80 km north-south, and starts 30 km west of the Diavk Diamond Mine. GGL has already discovered four kimberlites on the property, one of which, the Bishop kimberlite, is diamondiferous.
