Highlights:
Corvette to acquire an initial 25% interest in major West African Gold project for $US1M with an option to acquire all existing shares of Bukon Jedeh Holdings for approximately 70 million Corvette shares within 18 months.
Project area exceeds 1,575km2 of prospective Birimian greenstone geology in three granted concessions.
Bukon Jedeh concession is most advanced with major artisanal workings located within the licence which host drill ready targets.
 Trench sampling has confirmed broad zones of gold mineralisation in saprolite with mineralised intersections including:
 66m at 1.05g/t gold,  62m at 1.06g/t gold,  24m at 1.83g/t gold, and  20m at 1.47g/t gold.
Surface geochemical sampling has outlined extensive gold anomalous zones extending for over 5km with samples up to 12g/t gold returned with no previous drill testing.
Reverse Circulation drilling targeting the Bukon Jedeh gold anomaly is planned to commence in November.
The River Gee and Maryland concessions are strategically located on major regional structures with identified zones of gold mineralisation. No modern exploration has occurred within these licence areas and they represent high-priority targets for exploration activity.

o Mannian – 1,611km2 in two Exploration licences along strike from +1Moz resources.
 Exploration will commence on Tengrela South with reconnaissance geochemical sampling and RAB drilling to test areas of artisanal workings.
Surface geochemical sampling and geological mapping will commence immediately at the Kahola project located on major structural zones.

ich, seit ca 11/2007 in PRU investiert, bin auch hier mit`ner Position drin. Die Nähe zu PRU, und die Beteiligung von PRU, sollten für ein gut geführtes Unternehmen mit einer guten Exploration sprechen. Auf steigende Kurse.

International Goldfields Limited (ASX: IGS) (“IGS” or “the Company”) announced on 20 October 2010 that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with private exploration company Bukon Jedeh Holdings Limited (“BJH”) to acquire 25% of BJH (with an 18 month option to acquire the remaining existing shares in BJH) giving IGS exposure to drill- ready gold projects in Liberia, West Africa.
The acquisition of shares in BJH was subject to, inter alia, the signing of a binding agreement and due diligence to the satisfaction of IGS.
Following due diligence on BJH the Company has decided not to proceed with the transaction.
Cote d’Ivoire
IGS is pleased to provide an update on the Cote d’Ivoire Earn-in agreement (“Agreement”) between IGS and Cape Lambert Resources Ltd pursuant to which IGS may earn up to an 80% interest in 5 exploration projects in Cote d’Ivore, West Africa (refer to ASX announcement dated 17 November 2010).
The Agreement includes eleven licenses, covering five project areas totalling 9,900km2 which are highly prospective for gold with each project hosted by Birimian greenstone belts and associated with major Birimian aged structures, which are key criteria to many of the major gold deposits in the West African region.
IGS has completed a data compilation and full review of various satellite imagery and regional geology work as available on each of the vastly under- explored project areas, and the Company has identified three priority licenses on two project areas for initial exploration work.
The Tengrela South and Kahola projects have work programs designed to complete extensive mapping and surface geochem analysis by Cote d’Ivoire field crews. The political situation for Cote d’Ivoire is being monitored closely, with work commencing as soon as possible.

Wenn da eine Lösung in Sicht kommen sollte, dann werden wir es als erste im Kurs merken.

Wir sind in A von 5 auf 7,2 cent gestiegen und das Orderbuch entwickelt sich auch prächtig.

Die Nachricht kam am 20.04. Das Volumen war "etwas überdurchschnittlich"... aber zwei Drittel des Volumens liefen ins Bid...

Ich versuche gerade, mich in IGS "einzuarbeiten" um zu einer möglichen Einstiegsentscheidung zu kommen. Ich sehe Projekte... ich sehe MOU... aber zu Reserves/Resources habe ich noch nichts gesehen... Na ja, ich mach mal weiter...

On Tuesday 27 March 2012, the military regime announced a new constitution that rules its members out of upcoming elections, lifted its night- time curfew and reopened the borders to show the country is returning to normal. The new regime has also announced the constitution would guarantee the existing rule of law and basic human rights in "a pluralist democracy". Presently, constitutional changes appear to have no effect on mining law or mineral tenure. The Company will continue to monitor the political risk in Mali leading up to reestablishment of democratic elections in Mali

The situation in the country (other than continuing rebel conflict in the remote northern area of Mali) is calm, the civil service resumed work on Tuesday 27 March 2012 and that the country’s main airport at Bamako has resumed normal domestic and international passenger operations.
The Company has multiple field crews actively working three projects in Mali South and completing work programs on all projects in quick succession with a combination of auger and surface geochemical sampling techniques to prioritize projects for additional drilling this year.
IGS is also pleased to announce the results of the Nangalasso Project surface sampling campaign. Encouraging results from sampling of termitaria in the project area has led to commencement of an auger drilling program at Nangalasso and securing of an option to acquire 250km2 Sotian licence located east of, and contiguous with, the Company’s Nangalasso Project area (“Sotian Licence”). The Company has the right to acquire 100% of the Sotian Licence under a lease-option agreement, whereby IGS leases the rights to explore and mine the mineral licence over a three year period, and maintains an option to purchase 100% ownership at any time following the third annual lease payment.
TANALA–DIENDO RC DRILLING
The Tanala Project (102km2) covers the northern extension of the same structural belt that hosts mineralisation at Tiekoumala (0.59M oz Au) resource, and gold occurrences across the Company’s Diendo Project (5 licences totalling over 280km2).
IGS completed an RC drilling campaign in March with 15 holes totalling 990m at Tanala and 15 holes totalling 1,288m at Diendo. The combined drilling tested 6 target areas with 5 targets defined by IGS auger drilling (previously un-drilled), and a sixth single drill hole test following up historic air core drilling on the Diendo Project.
The drilling has confirmed structures in both project areas, and revised geological interpretations for lithology in most areas that will be integrated into further targeting and exploration planning in the area. All samples have been submitted to SGS laboratories in Bamako, and final results are pending.
NANGALASSO PROJECT

Surface geochemical sampling at Nangalasso (95km2) was completed in late December and 1,391 samples were collected and submitted to ALS Laboratories in Bamako. Final results of that program have been received, with encouraging results including twenty seven samples exceeding 50ppb gold and a peak result of 270ppb gold.
Two zones of gold anomalism have been defined by termitaria gold anomalism. A 6km long zone of anomalism is identified approximately one km east of the Eburnean structural corridor targeted from geophysical interpretation. The northeast trending zone is a 6km long, northeast trending gold anomaly in termitaria sampling that extends from a mapped granodiorite intrusion contact to the northern border of the

licence. The anomaly is closed off in sampling to the south with it appears the anomaly propagates from an outcropping granodiorite intrusion and extends to the north licence boundary, where artisanal workings and outcropping metasediments with strong foliation/deformation and minor quartz stockworks have been located proximal to the licence boundary. Limited rock sampling of these features returned anomalous values up to 0.6ppm Au.
A second zone of gold anomalism in termitaria covers a 2km by 2km area and appears to follow the granodiorite contact to the east where the anomaly is only constrained by the extent of the sampling. Additional sampling is in progress to the north of the anomalous zone, and work is being planned to extend sampling into the recently acquired Sotian Licence to the east.
Historic regional scale government soil sampling datasets returned very little gold anomalism across the Nangalasso Project area. Regolith and landform mapping by IGS identified that the surface at Nangalasso is primarily transported depositional material deposited over laterite crust/cuirasse, with cuirasse exposed in several areas. The laterite material is interpreted to be depleted in gold in the weathered profile, combined with the depositional cover makes soil geochemistry ineffective in the area.
The Company has focussed on sampling of large termite mounds (termitaria) where the size of the termitaria indicate that termites are excavating down to the water table, and bringing material up from below the depleted and transported profile. Auger drilling to test the same horizon directly and confirm gold anomalism is underway and logging indicates depositional cover for the area is relatively shallow. The first 269 samples have been submitted to SGS Laboratories in Bamako with all results pending.

SOTIAN LICENCE
IGS has identified potential for gold mineralisation on the Nangalosso Project associated with interpreted structural zones in the Birimian greenstones trend under relatively shallow depositional cover to the west of Syama. The structural trends identified are sub parallel to the better exposed and explored Syama– Tengrela structural zone that hosts multiple deposits. The 1.5Moz Au Nampala resource located 25km to the northeast of the project areas is on trend with an interpreted structure that follows closely to the Nangalasso–Sotian shared boundary.
The Company has secured the right to acquire 100% of the Sotian Licence under a lease-option agreement, whereby IGS leases the rights to explore and mine the mineral licence with annual lease payments, and maintains an option to purchase 100% of the Sotian licence at any time following the third annual lease payment.
Under the lease arrangement, IGS is required to pay annual lease payments over a three year period. Following which IGS can elect to exercise the option to purchase 100% of the Sotian Licence by payment of US$500,000 and grant of a 2% net smelter royalty (NSR) in respect of the Sotian Licence, with IGS retaining an option to buy back 50% of the NSR.

BALENA PROJECT
Assays have been received from a focussed program of 495 auger hoels testing across specific structural targets in Birimian rocks in the northeast portion of the Balena Project (174km2). Auger drilling was completed on 100m by 400m spacing, drilling on 7 lines that extend 1.2km south from the northeast boundary of the Project. Forty-five of the 495 samples collected returned gold results exceeding 20ppb with a peak value of 128 ppb. Scattered anomalism exceeding 20ppb was located on all lines and forms discontinuous northeast trends. The most contiguous anomalism is located with the peak value where 6 of 7 auger holes return values ranging from 26ppb to 128ppb across a 600m wide zone on the southernmost line of the program. Anomalism is open to the south along the targeted structures, where the peak value
MALI OVERVIEW
The Company has multiple field crews actively working three projects in Mali South and completing work programs on all projects in quick succession with a combination of auger and surface geochemical sampling techniques to prioritize projects for additional drilling this year. Results of initial RC drilling will be combined with results from ongoing surface geochemistry programs for planned RC or aircore drill tests commencing on favourable gold targets in the second quarter of 2012.
Planned work includes mobilisation of the auger rig from Nangalasso to Kounian to complete the reconnaissance drill program at Kounian in the next month, and surface sampling commencing at the Manankoro Licence within the Diendo Project area commencing in about 1 week, following completion of Nangalasoo termite extension sampling and Sotian reconnaissance mapping program.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- (Business Wire)

Santa Fe Gold Corporation (OTCBB: SFEG) today announced that it has signed a Binding Heads of Agreement to pursue a business combination with International Goldfields Limited (ASX: IGS). Key terms of the transaction have been approved by the boards of directors of both companies, subject to satisfactory completion of due diligence, definitive agreements, regulatory and required consents and approvals. The companies are targeting prompt execution of definitive documents and a first quarter 2013 closing date, subject to shareholder approvals and other customary closing conditions. The contemplated transaction structure would be effected solely through an exchange of SFEG shares for IGS shares in connection with a merger transaction.

Key terms of the Heads of Agreement include, among others, that:

Existing SFEG and IGS shareholders will own 61.57% and 27.11%, respectively, of the outstanding shares of the combined company’s common stock, assuming completion of an A$5.0 million placement in connection with the merger;
The IGS board will be restructured to comprise four directors nominated by Santa Fe and one director nominated by International Goldfields;
The merged company will continue trading on the ASX and will apply for a listing to trade ADRs on a major US exchange; and
On completion of the merger, IGS must have (a) a minimum of A$10.0 million in available cash and liquid assets and (b) a maximum of A$100,000 in total indebtedness.
Pierce Carson, President and CEO of Santa Fe, commented, "This is an exciting opportunity for the shareholders of both companies as the proposed merged entity is anticipated to result in a diversified and well-capitalized gold-silver miner, explorer, and developer, with projects located in emerging mining districts of Brazil, West Africa, and the Southwestern United States. We believe that the proposed business combination will maximize collective shareholder value for numerous reasons, including:

A strengthened balance sheet, with significantly improved liquidity, is anticipated to reduce our project debt levels, and provide capital to further develop our new Mogollon project and advance our Ortiz project;
We will enjoy significant development and exploration upside across a diverse portfolio of precious metal properties, and support for our exploration programs, including potentially new gold discoveries in IGS’ exploration portfolio;

Anticipated trading on both the ASX and a major United States exchange should increase the combined company’s visibility as a diversified, well-capitalized, low-cost gold-silver miner, explorer, and developer.”
IGS has agreed to advance (a) A$2.0 million to SFEG within five business days of execution of the Heads of Agreement and (b) another A$2.0 million on or before October 31, 2012. The two advances will take place by way of a convertible note secured by SFEG’s interest in its rights to the Mogollon option.

The Heads of Agreement contains other terms and conditions, and a copy is included as an Exhibit to Santa Fe’s Current Report on Form 8-K, which it will file promptly with the SEC and will be available at www.sec.gov.

Auf der einen Seite 10:1 gleich 0,26$
und sfeg notieren bei ca. 0,34 $
Eigentlich sollte in Richtung Angleichung des sfeg-kurses laufen.

Heute bekommen:

International Goldfields (ASX: IGS) certainly lives up to its name. With gold-focused exploration assets across three continents, IGS’s affinity for emerging global mining districts is apparent. With the merger with US-based Santa Fe Gold Corporation, IGS becomes part of an entity that is a gold and silver producer and developer as well as explorer and acquires a measured and indicated resource base of 1.07Moz Au, 7.4Moz Ag and 18.4 kilotonnes Cu across three US deposits.
IGS’s merger with Santa Fe leaves it well placed for the future. The entity that emerges from the combination of the two companies will have an initial market capitalisation of approximately US$70 million, cash reserves in the order of US$10 million and gold and silver production of 28,000oz per annum.
The merger brings together “two highly experienced and complementary management teams with successful records in exploration and development,” which will each be supplemented with the “complementary expertise” of the partner company, says IGS chief executive officer Travis Schwertfeger.
As it combines the exploratory assets held by IGS with Santa Fe’s portfolio of low-cost mining and exploration assets in New Mexico – according to the company statements made at the time of the merger’s announcement – the resultant anticipated low production costs are expected to enable the new entity to rival major producers worldwide.
Ana prospect
Chief among IGS’s most promising exploration assets is the recently discovered Ana Prospect, a prospect targeting multi-million-ounce potential with extensive areas of workings in Brazil’s Juruena Belt.
IGS owns 93 per cent of the subsidiary that owns the Brazilian project, an area of 2,976km2 comprised of 33 exploration licences in the highly mineralised but under-explored Alta Floresta Mineral Province located on the Juruena Belt. The vast Latin Gold Project is located in an area of historical artisanal mining and hosts multiple Au-Cu prospects, of which Ana is one.
The RC (reverse circulation) assay results from the recently completed drilling program at the Ana prospect are especially encouraging, demonstrating significant gold mineralisation. Some of the most notable samples from the recently discovered high-grade gold mineralised veins associated with gold-copper mineralised structures include 4m at 2.28g/t from 44m drill depth; 4m at 4.06g/t from 100m; 4m at 6.96g/t from 84m drill depth. Schwertfeger is upbeat about the potential for a JORC-compliant resource on the prospect, citing the intersection of the anomalous copper and base metals as providing a wealth of evidence for potential bulk-tonnage targets.
The portion of the Juruena Belt on which the prospect sits is in an area perceived, until recently, to be quite wild and remote. In fact, modern-day exploration of the area began in only the last decade. Even now, alluvial mining by the Garimpeiros (artisanal miners) is significant, “with new areas continually being opened and small underground workings scattered throughout the Alta Floresa Mineral province,” says Schwertfeger.
Estimates place gold production from Garimpeiro activities in the area at more than 5Moz for the period of 1980 to 1999 alone; a number all the more impressive as the Garimpo workings only commenced in the wake of the infrastructural development of the area in the 1970s, put in place by the government to promote the settlement and economic development of the region.
Schwertfeger calls the prospect “well located,” allowing that there are no million-ounce finds in the area, but attributing that to the region’s fundamentally underexplored nature. Certainly, IGS have high expectations of the prospect, with a maiden resource expected in the first quarter of the new year.
Nanglasso
Another of IGS’s most notable projects is The Nanglasso Project in Mali, 462km2 comprised of three licences that is host to an extensive gold anomaly that recent sampling in the Sotian permit area extended to a length of 10km.
In the recent maiden drill program, the prospect returned encouraging gold assay results (including 1m of 7.8g/t and 3m of 7.84g/t). The location is notable for other reasons – namely proximity to the 7.9Moz Syama mine.
Mali is one of Africa’s most noteworthy gold producers, already host to several major gold deposits, despite modern exploration being in its infancy in the region – a state of affairs that leaves much of the Birimian gold belt underexplored. A recent flurry of exploration in Southern Mali has turned up much of West Africa’s most significant discoveries in the last five years, including a resource of more than 1Moz at Komana and, encouragingly, the 1.2Moz Au resource at Nampala, which lies along strike of the Nanglasso Project.
One reason for IGS’s certainty of the site’s good prospectivity is the sampling carried out on large termite mounds, where the size of the termitaria indicate that termite excavations extend to the water table, raising material from deep in the earth.
Certainly, Mali is one of West Africa’s leading gold producing nations, and more pertinently for the toiling explorer, welcomes the tapping of its national resources. Schwertfeger, informed by his background of working in West Africa, terms Mali a “mining aware country”.
