Was haltet ihr von Madge Networks? Bin gestern bei 4,60 Euro eingestiegen. Sie sind Mitentwickler der neuen Bluetooth-Chips. Kabellose Verbindungen zwischen elektronischen Endgeräten. Kurse kamen stark zurück, könnte vielleicht was gehen.

Red-M arbeitet mit Ericsson und Xircom an Bluetooth-Anwendungen. Madge.web, eine weiter Tochter von Madge Networks ist ebenfalls sehr interessant.

Wenn man dann noch Madge`s eigentliches Tätigkeitsfeld (Netzwerk/connectivity) berücksichtigt, ist die Aktie derzeit enorm unterbewertet. Ich denke ich übertreibe nicht, wenn ich an 20$ am Ende des Jahres denke.

Ergebniss kommen am 26.Juli. Der aktuelle Kurs ist aber meiner Meinung nach nicht mit Befürchtungen verbunden. Weder positive noch negative Überraschungen erwartet. Ich erwarte aber mit den Ergebnissen neue Nachrichten in Hinsicht auf madge.web. Die haben fast 4 Wochen nichts von sich hören lassen.

Kenne das Unternehmen auch nicht. Es gab jedoch einen interessanten Artikel in der Telebörse, Nr.28, über Bluetooth im allgemeinen und über die aussichtsreichsten Unternehmen.
Madge wird eingeschätzt als volatiler Wert mit hohem Risikoprofil. "Nach mageren Jahren setzt Madge jetzt voll auf Bluetooth"

Neben Madge wurden als aussichtsreich die Firmen Atmel und Conexant, außerdem Broadcom und Motorola als aussichtsreich genannt.

Wenn ich mir die Kursentwicklung an der Nasdaq ansehe, bin ich froh, dass ich noch nicht eingestiegen bin.Madge stand am 3.7. (Ausgabe Telebörse) auf 5,15 Euro, wurde heute auf 3,40 Euro runtergeprügelt. Conexant, versehen mit etlichen Strong buys haben sich von damals 53 E auf heute 39,50 E verbilligt, obwohl das Q2-Ergebnis sehr gut (nicht gut genug?) war. Bei Atmel war es am Freitag nicht ganz so schlimm, aber die Zeit für Bluetooth-Unternehmen ist scheinbar noch nicht gekommen. Also, nach meinem Emfinden riecht es hier nach Einstiegskursen. Aber da die Nasdaq zur Zeit spinnt, kommts vielleicht noch besser.

Madge ist meiner Meinung aus 3 Gründen ein interessanter Wert:

1.) Bisheriger Schwerpunkt der Netzwerktechnologie Madge.connect läuft. Wegen auch nicht mit all zu rosiger Zukunft.
2) Mehr "Zukunft" gibt es neben den Aussichten in Richtung Bluetooth über Red-M (Lesenswerter Artikel vom Wochenende aus der Times: http://www.the-times.co.uk/news/pages/tim/2000/07/22/timbizw…
3)..bei der nur ein paar Monate älteren Tochter Madge.web. Sind auch in aussichtsreichem Bereich tätig: Dienstleistungen zur Erstellung, Management und Vermarktung von komplexeren digitalen Inahlten. Also ein Dienstleistungsunternehmen für Content-Provider (u.a. Medien und Finanz) Vergleichbar mit Digital Island. Jedoch mit europäischem Schwerpunkt, wobei ich davon ausgehe dass der Markt für komplexere Web-Inhalte sich besonders in Europa stark erweitern wird.
Das Madge Broadcasting Network ist mit dem Real Broadcasting Network verbunden. Somit soll nach Angaben von Madge die Möglichkeit gegeben sein, Inhalte in USA und Europa gleichzeitig und (wichtiger) in gleicher Qualität senden zu können.

Potential womöglich auch durch Synergieeffekte zwischen den einzelnen Bereichen.... Meinungen?

Da Red-M und Madge.Web jedoch gerade am Anfang stehen, ist natürlich Vorsicht geboten. Wo nicht :-) Aber solange der Preis sich im 3$-Bereich bewegt....
Zahlen kommen in dieser Woche. Vielleicht auch ein paar Good News ?

Hat jemand eine Erklärung für den starken Kursrückgang von gestern (minus 12 %)?

gestern ist der kurs ja nur in Frankfurt abgestürzt (3 euro), und wenn ihr euch die umsätze anschaut, muss sich einer wohl von dem
wert getrennt haben (wenig verkaufsaufträge - hohe aktienzahl). ich bleibe jedenfalls drin, und habe nachgeordert.

Interessant ist für mich hier nur die Nasdaq. Dort ist der Kurs am 24.7. um 12 % runter, hat sich gestern wieder um 2 % erholt. Hier die Kurse und Volumen der letzten 5 Handelstage (quelle:quicken.com)

Nach meinem Empfinden ist der Tiefpunkt noch nicht erreicht. Allerdings gibts seit dem 18.7. auch keine einzige Meldung mehr.

Wie sind jetzt die Zahlen von Madge ausgefallen? Sind ja laut Forum am 27.Juli rausgekommen. Hab aber keine Zahlen gefunden, war aber bis vor kurzem auch im Urlaub. Vielleicht hab ich sie verpasst.
Kann mir jemand mal sagen wie sie waren und ob es neuigkeiten gibt?

Hi Bluetooth Freunde,
ich habe mir in Sachen Bluetooth Atmel ausgesucht, hat mit 40% Plus auch gut geklappt, aber ich kriege den Hals natürlich nicht voll.
Jetzt will ich meine Performance weiter steigern und bin auf Madge aufmerksam geworden, die geht ja plötzlich ab wie eine Rakete !

Bei Bigcharts fand ich die Mitteilung von BusinessWire, daß Madge.web das Onlinestreaming für Business to Business Events für Livenue übernimmt. Livenue ist ein Dienstleister für weltweite Onlinekoferenzen (Audio und Video, live und on demand) basierend auf Realnetworktechnik.

Vermutlich ist die Kooperation zwischen Madge und Livenue der Grund für den plötzlichen Kursanstieg, bin mir aber noch nicht sicher.

Wenn ausser Bluetoothphantasie jetzt auch noch B2B Phantasie in den Wert kommt könnte es der Kracher des Jahres werden.

ist hier keiner mehr im Board, der was zu madge zu sagen aht?. ich denke, daß die 10% heute recht odentlich sind. habe madge bei bei 3,5 Eu "erstanden" und fühle mich jetzt pudelwohl.
was denkt Ihr, gaht die Rallay endlich weiter?
Hatte ja auf Bluetooth Firmen gesetzt, so auch auf Conexant (WKN 917511). Dort geht seit paar Tagen die Party ab. Sicher wegen dem Firmensplitt, aber trotzdem, ich bin optimistisch für beide Werte.

Hallo Rbroker,
bei CNXT werden wohl durch die Aufsplittung versteckte Werte sichtbar, die bisher immer übersehen wurden. Ich denke, dass durch den momentanen Hype der Blick verstärkt auf Bl.tooth gelenkt wird und damit auch auf andere, gut positionierte Firmen wie Madge oder auch Atmel.
Bedenkt man, wo die Kurse herkommen, dann ist es sicher keine Übertreibung, davon auszugehen, dass das erst ein kleiner Vorgeschmack war und die Kurse sicher nicht auf diesem (noch niedrigen) Level bleiben werden.

Liebe Kapitalistenfreunde, ich dachte mir schon zu Madge hat niemand eine Meinung. MAGDE NETWORKS wird in der "Die Tele Börse" Nr.28 vom 06072000 erwähnt. In dem Bericht werden die Unternehmen vorgestellt, die an der Bluetooth-technologie arbeiten. Die I-net Adresse ist www.madge.com. Bis Ende des Jahres sollte sich bei dieser sicherlich interessanten Aktie ein Erfolg einstellen. Im Jahre 95 hatten sie den höchsten Punkt bei ca. 43 Euro, nun krabbeln sie bei 3.50 herum. Ich habe sie mir vor ein paar Monaten um 4.00 Euro gekauft. Wie gesagt, die Spitze war bei 40 Euro, ich bin nicht gierig, doch das auf 8 Euro sollte sie doch kommen, ich spekuliere jedoch mit ca. 20 Euro. I hope so. Infos und Daten zu Madge findest du z.B. unter CNNFN.com, Ticker = MADGF
Kaufen direkt an der Nasdaq ist nur bei sehr großen Stückzahlen ratsam wg.der hohen Gebühren. Dann kannst du auch in der Regel nur dort verkaufen. (Ausnahme bei Consors).
Ansonsten ist es abhängig von der Liquidität. Von den deutschen Börsen ist eine Order btr. Madge meist nur in Frankfurt und Berlin erfolgversprechend. Dort aber aufgrund der geringen Umsätze unbedingt nur mit Limit ordern!

einen Dritten, kann man hier ja nicht begrüßen.
Ich hab 3mal an der Nasdaq geordert, was auch notwendig war.
Immer so 7000$. Nicht nur auf die Gebühren sollte man achten.
Das Währungsrisiko ist zur Zeit extrem hoch.
Warum, der Euro war am Freitag zwischenzeitlich von 0,844 auf ca.0,9 gestiegen. Wenn beim Verkauf der Euro 10% höher steht und du hast an der Nasdaq gekauft, dann müsstest du 10% mehr mit Madge erzielen um dies zu kompensieren.
Ich gehe einfach davon schon aus. Hier hätte ich nie eine Chance.
Ich werde am Montag oder Dienstag mit Limit 3,5$ nochmals zu kaufen.
Ich denke, die 11$ werden sie wohl erreichen.
Der jüngste Kursanstieg zeigte uns, welches Potential in Ihr steckt.

Und noch etwas. Wenn man an der Nasdaq kauft, muss man auch dort verkaufen. Es sei denn, Du veranlasst eine Übertragung (ca.3Tage), und danach kannst Du diese hier verkaufen.
Ich bin Comdirekt Kunde und wurde diesbezüglich aufgeklärt.

Was denkst Du, warum sind anscheinend so wenige investiert oder geben hier zu Madge ein Statement etc.ab?
Bei solch einem Wert, der auch schon in der Telebörse vorgestellt worden war und zusätzlich so unterbewertet ist, versteh ich dies nicht mehr.

Hallo Tbroker,
schön, mal wieder etwas Gesellschaft hier zu haben.
Es gibt vermutlich mehrere Gründe für die schwache Ressonanz.
Zum einen ist Madge in einem Übergangsstadium, die alte Technologie läuft nicht mehr so richtig, da die Konkurrenz besser ist und die neue Technologie beginnt gerade erst zu greifen. Daher gibt es bisher nur Prognosen, wie sich Madge künftig aufstellen wird.
Ein anderer Grund ist, dass der Kurs, bis auf ein kurzes Aufflackern, noch nicht wieder so richtig in die Gänge gekommen ist. Das macht Madge momentan nicht populär. Das wird sich ändern, wenn der Chart eindeutig nach Turnaround aussieht. Dann werden die Analysten und Börsenbriefe vermutlich aktiver werden, was die Aufmerksamkeit steigern wird.
Im übrigen könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass einige Madge bisher lediglich auf ihrer Watchlist haben und denken, dass ein Engagement momentan nicht eilt. Bluetooth wurde ja auch in der Telebörse als eine Technologie vorgestellt, die erst in 2001 so richtig an den Markt geht.
Ein weiterer Grund könnte die fehlende Corporate Identity bei Madge sein, denn bei der vielversprechenden Tochter Red M denkt man zunächst ja nicht an Madge.
Um noch ein psychologischen Grund zu liefern: Mancher hat zwar Madge im Depot, aber da kursmäßig wenig passiert und auch vermutlich kaum jemand sehr viel höhere Einstiegskurse hatte, bewegt sie momentan nicht die Gemüter und ist etwas in den Hintergrund getreten.

Wie auch immer, ich halte Madge für ein starkes Investment und rechne damit, dass es demnächst stark nach oben geht. Kann gerne noch eine Weile warten, denn ich möchte den Kursen nicht hinterherhecheln, wenn es wirklich losgehen sollte.

PS:Selbst ich hatte vor kurzem bei 4,125$ Probleme, da sie auch gesplittet wurde. Der Ersteinstieg war bei 3,125$ ok(ich mein der Kauf).

Tbroker: nein, durchaus keine Ironie. Wenn man etwas Geduld hat und eine Order auch mal ein paar Tage liegen lassen kann, natürlich mit Kursentwicklung im Auge, dann hat man oft Erfolg. Gerade bei engen Volumen gibt es dann Ungeduldige, die unbedingt kaufen oder verkaufen wollen. Mache ich bei US-Werten meistens, hat selbst bei so engen Werten wie Madge 2XKauf und 1xVerkauf oder Handspring 2xKauf geklappt(Berlin oder Frankfurt, oder man kann es bei beiden versuchen).
Allerdings kommt es auf das Umfeld an, momentan sind die Umsätze noch niedriger als sonst. Wenn man natürlich der Meinung ist, dass die Hype vor der Tür steht, dann kauft man besser zum niedrigsten ask.

@Duschgel: Gut, könnte möglich sein, dass wenn er die Order ein paar Tage lang liegen lässt, er welche bekommt. Doch Du hast recht, die letzten Tage sind nicht gerade hohe Volumina zu erkennen. Bei uns so und so nicht.
Gerade will ich eine Aktie an der OTC nachkaufen (CYBG, wieder), und ich bekomme sie nicht. Zum Glück hatte ich diese schon vor ca.1 1/2 Jahren gekauft. Ich lass meine Order liegen 4,125$. Die ist so oft in dem Bereich, doch das Volumen.
Das ist das Gute, dass gerade die Unternehmen, die nicht so bekannt sind (zumindest bei den Anlegern), extrem steigen können. Doch da wiederum ist das Volumen nicht hoch.

Zu diesen Werten kann ich Dir nichts schreiben, da ich mich erst damit auseinandersetzen müsste, was immer sehr lange dauert.
Könnte ich recht haben, dass du eine konservative Ader hast oder auch gerade vom Neuen Markt kommst?
Wenn nicht, und du bist schon seit einiger Zeit am Nasdaq oder gar OTC, dann gibt es auch noch andere, die natürlich auch risikoreicher sind.

@eier: sorry, habe mich mit beiden Werten nicht näher befasst. Tbroker hat recht, an der Nasdaq gibt es neben Madge sicher ein gutes Dutzend Werte, die die beiden Merkmale "niedrig bewertet/großes Wachstumspotenzial" tragen und bei denen nach m.Einschätzung für etwas längerfristig Investierte das Risiko ein weitaus niedriges ist als bei den meisten NM-Werten.Soll nicht heißen, dass ich keine NM-Werte habe, aber die Nasdaq ist aus meiner Sicht momentan aussichtsreicher.

10% sind heute ja nicht schlecht. Denke wohl, daß es nun aufwärts geht.

Ich bin mal gespannt, ob sich vor Ende des Jahres noch was gewaltiges tut. Ich habe ebenfalls Sunburst gekauft, leider noch um 30. Nun ist sie gerade auf 24. Doch ruhig Blut, es wird schon werden.

Die letzten News von Madge.connect und Red M werden ihren Teil dazu beitragen.
Bin nun auch voll drin und denke, dass sie bis ca.11$ laufen wird.
Selbst dann ist sie vom Hoch noch meilenweit entfernt.
Die neue Technologie von Red M (Bluetooth)wird bestimmt ein Erfolg, somit wird sie profitieren.
Doch das Volumina in D ist erbärmlich. Hab`zwar alles an der Nasdaq gekauft, doch denke ich beweist dies, dass es bald eine Trendwende geben wird.
Alle halten sich zurück (bei diesen "Aldi" Preisen), kann ja nicht wahr sein. Wie Hr.Mross heut`in N-TV sagte, im März kaufen sie wieder alle, wenn die Preise hoch sind, doch wenn sie billig sind, kauft keiner. Alles Schisser!!!

Hi, MadgeFans! Die Zahlen sind wieder nicht berauschend. Aber gegenüber den Qu2-Zahlen gibt es auf jeden FAll eine Besserung. Der momentane Kurs bildet dieses bescheidene Ergebnis ab. D wri allerdings Madge nicht als Wettbewerber von Cisco oder Nortel usw. gekauft haben, (das Ausrüstungsgeschäft sich wohl momentan noch die Haupteinnahmequelle), sondern als Bluetooth-Unternehmen, das eine super Software in der Pipeline hat, wird sich der Kurs demnächst hoffentlich an den Zukunftsaussichten orientieren. Wie lange das dauern wird, hängt sicher von den nächsten Wochen ab und ein paar positive Analystenstimmen würden dabei auch nicht schaden. Madge befindet sich momentan in einer Umstrukturierungs- und Neuausrichtungsphase, was auch die Einmalkosten belegen.

na, schön. Die Zukunft sieht gut aus und die Zahlen sind einfach stabil geblieben. Der geringe Zuwachs kann sich im Vergleich der 3.Q sehen lassen. Die Kosten zeigen, dass die Umstrukturierung in volem Gange sind. Ich denke, dass wir unseren Spass noch haben werden. Doch warum der Wert auch nicht derart im Ragingbull diskutiert wird, versteh ich nicht so recht.
Für mich hat dieser wirklich sehr viel Potential.
Kaum zu Glauben, dass viel Werte, vor allem OTC, totdiskutiert werden und dieser an der Nasdaq notierte wird nicht im geringsten berührt.
Nun gut, so ging es mir schon desöfteren, und hatte oft genug extreme Steugerungen.

mir geht es genauso auf den S..., daß sich Madge wie ein OTC Wert verhält (sorry, nichts gegen OTC-Werte, falls Du dort involviert bist), aber es kann doch wohl nicht wahr sein, daß die Papiere von Firmen mit derartigen Produkten und vor allem Perspektiven ständig "unten" bewegen. Wann endlich werden es vor allem die institutionellen Anleger schnallen, daß in der Perspektive hier recht ordentlich Geld zu verdienen ist?
Ich hoffe nur, daß wir dann (ich weiß ja nicht wo Du eingestiegen bist) die lachenden Dritten sind. Wenn sich z.B. die Bluetooth-Technik durchsetzt, dann doch sicher zuerst bei den Amis und nicht im "hinterwäldlerischen" Deutschland. Hoffen wir, daß dies bald geschehen werde.

Wenn du meine Einschätzung hören willst, gibt es 3 Möglichkeiten, entweder er kommt sehr bald oder er läßt auf sich warten oder kommt gar nicht.

Wenn Madge dein einziger Depotwert ist, dann verkauf ihn und steig in was anderes ein. Falls du ungedingt Tipps brauchst, sende ich dir gerne eine E-Mail. Falls deine Strategie ist, auch ein paar potenzielle Kursraketen im Depot zu haben, dann bist du bei Madge richtig, du mußt dir dabei bewußt sein, dass bei einigen auch die Lunte nass sein kann. Aber erfahrungsgemäß zünden 3 von 5 garantiert. Und bei Madge bin ich sehr zuversichtlich.

naja, ich hab´leider auch nur die Info´s, die dir auch zur Verfügung stehen. Daraus erlese ich, kaufen !!!
Damals brachte mich die Telebörse auf diesen Wert, daraufhin setzte ich mich mit Bluetooth auseinander. Red M entwickelte nun den ersten Server auf Basis von Bluetooth und verkauft ihn nun. Inwiefern sich dies noch entwickelt, kann ich auch nicht sagen, doch eines steht fest, Bluetooth wird zu einem sehr wichtigen Bestandteil der Kommunikation zwischen Endgeräten. Der Markt ist riesig und gewaltig. Eigentlich kann man das Potential noch gar nicht erahnen.

Bluetooth
Bluetooth geistert schon seit rund zwei Jahren durch die Schlagzeilen. Als Ad-hoc-Funktechnologie etwa für Handys, Laptops/Notebooks, PDAs und Peripheriegeräte eines Netzwerks steht Bluetooth nach seiner Standardisierung im Sommer letzten Jahres der Durchbruch in den Massenmarkt bevor. Dieser soll sich nach den Einschätzungen der Marktauguren in zwei Schritten vollziehen: zum Ende dieses Jahres durch eine erste Produktgeneration als "Appetithappen", zum Ende des nächsten Jahres schließlich in voller Breite - getrieben vor allem durch höher integrierte Bluetooth-Chips mit niedrigerem Stromverbrauch, kleineren Abmessungen und nicht zuletzt natürlich günstigeren Preisen. Auf der Bluetooth-Konferenz im Frühjahr dieses Jahres diskutierten die Teilnehmer noch sehr kontrovers über die Kosten der Technologie.

Vertreter des Bluetooth-Konsortiums hielten einen Hardware-Preis pro Gerät in Höhe von fünf Dollar für angemessen. Aber Vertreter der Hardware-Hersteller hielten die "magische Fünf-Dollar-Grenze in den kommenden drei Jahren für nicht machbar". Das Chip-Set für die ersten in diesem Jahr verfügbaren Geräte wird bei rund 25 Dollar liegen. Seit Sommer 1999 besteht der Standard Bluetooth 1.0, der ähnlich wie IEEE 802.11 arbeitet, jedoch den Schwerpunkt auf eine besonders kleine Sende-/Empfangseinheit (Transmitter/Receiver, Transceiver) legt. Bluetooth benutzt wie IEEE 802.11 und 802.11b das 2,4-GHz-Band. Die Signale werden durch Frequenz-Hopping moduliert. Neben der Bandbreite (die Multiplexdatenrate an der Funkschnittstelle beträgt etwa 700 kBit/s) ist auch die Reichweite eingeschränkt (10/100 Meter).

Damit ist die Anwendung der Technik praktisch auf das Heim oder auf Kleinbüros beschränkt. Aber es lassen sich bis zu acht Geräte miteinander verbinden. Somit können Notebooks, PC, Modem, Drucker, Fernsteuerungen, PDA und andere digitale Accessoires im engen Umkreis miteinander kommunizieren.

Die Datenrate eignet sich eher für Anwendungen mit seltenem Datenaustausch in meist kleinem Umfang. So bildet Bluetooth keine Konkurrenz zu Wireless-LANs (WLANs), da dort inzwischen Bandbreiten von 11 MBit/s eingeführt wurden. Die wesentlichen Bluetooth-Applikationen, die in Betrieben von Mitarbeitern angenommen werden, bestehen aus unternehmenseigen Anwendungen wie Messaging, Knowledge Management (Unwired Portal), Datenbankabfragen usw. sowie dem Zugang zum Internet.

Ich habe das Baby auch in der Telebörse gefunden - und sofort gekauft.Unter anderem auch , weil eine Zusammenarbeit mit Ericsson beschrieben wurde .Heute würde ich daß Papier genau deswegen nicht kaufen .Über die Performance von Ericsson habe ich mich in den letzten Monaten genug geärgert .Gott sei Dank hab ich`s raus ! aus dem Depot.Zum Kotzen . Mit Madge Networcks ist das etwas anderes , da brüte ich liebevoll vor mich hin ..Allerdings : wenn das Küken gar nicht schlüpfen will ? Statt zu wachsen , schrumpft es .

ich denke, dass dies für diese Zeit normal ist. Nicht nur die Wahlen, die ja zur Zeit krimimäß.sind, auch die Zeit ist für größere Nasdaq Werte inter., Madge verhält sich, wie schon erwähnt, wie ein OTC wert.
Da sollte er auf jeden Fall die 9$ Marke im Februar knacken.

Moin, Tbroker. Langsam ist es mir wurscht.Wenn man sieht, was für eine Schweinerally quer durch alle Gassen Richtung Kellerloch bei echten Qualitätstiteln stattfindet, kann man froh sein, wenn so ein Herzallerliebchen wie Madge nicht ganz vom Kurszettel verschwindet.
Wie heißt es so schön: man soll nicht nur das Gute annehmen, sondern auch das Schlechte.
Eines passiert mir jedenfalls kein zweites Mal: daß ich während einer Baisse klamm bin und meinen Buchverlusten bei Texas,Infineon und wie sie alle heißen blöd hinterherglotze.

Hi ihr beiden .broker. Könnt ihr uns restliche auch an eurem Geheimtipp teilhaben lassen? Oder was verbirgt sich unter RB?

Zu Madge verweise ich auf die vor einiger Zeit gepostete Theorie des schlechten PR: ich behaupte, wenn die Firma Red M heißen würde, wäre der Kurs schon bei 5$ Minimum.

Welchen Anleger bringen denn die ständigen guten Meldungen zu Red M auf die Ideee, dass er sich jetzt unbedingt Madge kaufen müsste?

Ich hoffe, die Firma ändert noch bald ihre Strategie, denn Kurse werden leider nicht allein durch gute Produkte gemacht. Ohne gescheite PR hält jeder Investor Madge für einen alten, rückständigen TokenRing-Anbieter, der den Zug der Zeit verschlafen hat.

Oder irre ich mich? Was ist eure Meinung, findet ihr, es ist nicht von Bedeutung?

RB ist einfach Raging Bull. Hast außerdem Recht. Red M wird in der Perspektive das Geld bringen. PR kostet erstmal Geld, genauso wie Forschung und Entwicklung. Ich denke jedoch, daß das Management die Sache in den Griff bekommen wird. Auch gehe ich davon aus, daß bei den Amis-Insidern alle drei Teilbereiche bekannt sind. Madge verhält sich zwar manchmal wie ein OTC-Wert, ist aber immerhin an der Nasdaq gelistet. Heute sieht es aber aus, als interessiert das keinen.

hast recht. Heute brucht wirklich ur einer mal einen Pubs zu lassen uns schon zieht es die die gesamte Technologie nach unten. Siehe heute. Mary Lynch stuft Chipwerte auf halten wegen zu hoher Lagerbestände und schon geht es allen anderen auch schlecht. Wie ungerecht ist diese Welt. Ich habe zwar Madge billiger erstanden, aber fahre inzwischen auch Buchverluste ein. Wir schon wieder werden.

hier ist ja was los. Hab´echt nicht mit soviel Beiträgen gerechnet, da mit sinkenden Kursen meisst auch die Teilnahme schwindet zu posten.
Deine Theorie ist gut, ja sehr gut. Ich denke, dass nennt man antizyklisches Verhalten.
Ein bißchen Ironie erkannte ich auch drin.:-)
Ich denke, Madge macht sich trotzdem gut. Klingt zwar blöd, doch bedenkt in was für einer Zeit wir stecken.
CMGI, Realn., Inktomi,.......... ohne Ende könnt ich weiter machen.
Alle gehen extrem den Bach runter. Leute, wir werden schon die Gewinner sein.
Die PR ist leider auch sehr sehr wichtig und kostet auch viel Geld.
Man muss natürlich den Spagat finden zw.Kosten und Nutzen.
Doch denke ich, dass sie soweit denken können sich gut zu positionieren mit Hilfe von PR.
Die Teilnahme an der Comdex ist für mich schon ein gutes Zeichen.

Jedes 2.Wort Bluetooth und wir sitzen in einem Boot, welches sehr weit vorn schwimmt. Ok, derzeit ist die Mannschaft ausgepowert, aber time will tell.

habe eben einen Bericht in NTV über die exponet gesehen. Dort hat Ossi Urchs von 3W4W Netzagentur einige Aussagen zur Zukunft von Bluetooth-Technologien gemacht. Weiß nicht, ob Du Zeit hattest es auch zu sehen. Auf jedem Fall wäre dann Deine Stimmung optimistischer. War ja so schlecht gestern auch nicht, im Gegensatz zu anderen Werten in meinem Depot.
Also, weg mit der Depristimmung. Morgen zwar nur verkürzter Handel, aber am Montag kommen die Amis zufrieden an die Börse zurück und lassen dort ihren Kaufrausch aus.

Moin. Eigentlich ist Madge Network eine Traumaktie. Man muß nur über genug Hirnmasse verfügen, Ihr Potential auszuschöpfen. Da fehlt`s bei mir leider. Wüßte auch nicht, wo ich`s noch herkriegen sollte? Gestern in Frankfurt fast 27% Plus, - nicht Minus. Mehr Profit kann man ja wohl nicht mehr wollen - für einen Tag.Die anderen haben ihn ja auch gemacht, nur ich nicht !
Ein Gorilla im Zoo ( die sind blöder, als ihre auf Bäumen lebenden Artgenossen ) hätte sich ausrechnen können, daß bei dem Absturz auf 1.75 Geld wartet um abgeholt zu werden.Der Franta kann sich das nicht ausrechnen. Trotzdem wünsch ich allen ein schönes Wochenende, Gruß, Franta.

Guten Tag, Madge-Spezies
Ich beobachte MN nun schon seit Monaten, war vor `nem 1/4 Jahr auch sauer bei 3,2 nicht eingestiegen zu sein. Stieg damals bis auf 5. Diese Säuerlichkeit hat sich ja verständlicherwiese gelegt.
Bluetooth hat meiner Meinung nach `ne enorme Zukunft. Nun bin ich immer noch unschlüsssig in Bezug auf MN. Habe letztens `ne Liste bei Hoovers gesehen, von Firmen, welche mit Bluetooth zu tun haben. Da ist ja alles bei was Rang und Namen hat und auch etliche Unbekanntere.
Wo liegt da denn jetzt Madge? Nur so`n Mitläufer, eine von vielen?
Und dann habe ich im Sommer gelesen, dass Ende des Jahres `ne Server-Software einsatzfähig sein soll. Ist da was bekannt?
Mit Ericsson wollten sie Wap-Handys bluetoothfähig machen, man liest leider zu wenig von Madge.
Vielleicht hat ja irgendeiner von Euch Lust u. Laune mich aufzuklären oder auch Gründe zu geben gerade in Madge zu investieren.

Vor allem, wenn es intelligent sein soll, nur raus damit.
Ich denke, die letzte News, ist nur ein Zeichen dafür, dass Madge immmer fundamentaler wird und sich nicht nur auf Bluetooth konzentriert, sondern auch Risikostreuung durch andere Projekte betreibt. Das ist sehr gut so.
Letztes Q konnten nur Kosten für Red M ausgewiesen werden, daher bin auf die revenues gespannt, die folgen werden.
Gestern kam auf 3Sat etwas über die Comdex, nicht schlecht.
Hätte ich mir auch sehr gerne angetan, doch ist dies sehr weit weg gewesen und ich muss aufpassen, zwecks Spritpreise.:-)

gestern irgendwo mal bei 1,2 Euro gewesen.
Doch wenn die an der Nasdaq ist und irgendjemand ein Info.-vorsprung besitzen würde (Insider), dann nicht hier in Deutschland. An der Nasdaq hat sie leider zum Schluß wieder abgegeben, doch was will man nun halt machen.
Ich kenne einige gute Untern., doch alle verlieren sie ohne Ende.
Ich hoffe und bete, dass das nicht kommt. Alles wird gut.
Mit einer langen Lunte an der Nadsaq könnten wir uns einiges erhoffen, aber nicht in Deutschland, oder?

eine Kooperation nach der anderen, aber der Kurs schwimmt im Nasdaq-Sog. Da der Markt sich aber nicht einig ist, ob Madge jetzt ein Infrastrukturanbieter, eine Internetfirma oder ein Software-Anbieter ist, sind wir bei jeder Branche dabei, wenns runtergeht, wenn auch nie so stark wie bei den "Reinrassigen". Mal sehen, wie`s ab heute läuft, abwärts haben wir jetzt genug gehabt.

Da hätte ich doch fast die Q3-Zahlen von Madge übersehen. Ich denke, diese dürften der Hauptgrund für den Anstieg gewesen sein. Das ist das beste Ergebnis von Madge, das ich je gesehen habe.

Zwar gab es einige Sondereffekte, aber man wird profitabel,hat Bar-Reserven und Perspektiven.
Bei 15 m$ cash ist immerhin die Hälfte des Marktwerts schon durch liquide Mittel gedeckt.
Ich werde versuchen,mal an einen vollständigen Bericht zu kommen, um ein rundes Bild zu bekommen, auch hinsichtlich der Verbindlichkeiten.

Hi,

warum gibt es denn bei Madge überhaupt kein Volumen(Umsatz)?? Sollen doch gute Q3 Zahlen razsgebracht haben und die Meldung mit IBM klang doch auch ganz gut, schreiben tut ja auch kaum einer über die Aktie.

Hab mir mal die 400St. geholt von heute(waren schon seit gestern geordert!!)
Bitte mal um Klärung, ist die Aktie doch nix oder einfach nicht populär

Hallo Rene,
die Zahlen fand ich diesmal wirklich sehr vielversprechend. Warum die Umsätze so dünn sind, keine Ahnung. Momentan kauft anscheinend jeder in die steigenden Märkte hinein lieber Blue Chips. Es gibt jede Menge stark gebeutelter Werte, die mit weniger Risiko behaftet sind als Madge.

Zu Madge selbst muss man sich vor Augen halten, dass die Zukunft trotz allem doch noch mit einigen Unsicherheiten behaftet ist. Jahrelang hat man aufs falsche Pferd gesetzt und wollte Cisco und Co. Konkurrenz machen und nun scheint man gerade noch die Kurve gekriegt zu haben.

Trotzdem bleiben einige offene Wetten: Was geschieht mit Madge.web-findet man einen Käufer? Wie sieht die Zukunft von BlueTooth aus - einige haben diese Technik ja bereits für tot erklärt,bevor sie richtig marktreif geworden ist. Wenn Red M es tatsächlich schaffen sollte, wieviel kriegt Madge dann von diesem Kuchen ab, wie sieht es mit Cash aus, falls die Durststrecke noch eine Weile andauert usw.

Fragen über Fragen. Trotz allem ein interessanter Wert.

@all:Ich wäre froh, mal irgendwo einige detailliertere Informationen zu den letzten Quartalszahlen zu finden. Hat jemand von euch etwas entdeckt?

Hi Rene,
habe auch keine Ahnung, kann nirgendwo eine Meldung finden. Aber da die Netzwerker insgesamt am Steigen sind, wäre es ja mal was Normales, wenn auch Madge mitsteigt. Außerdem gehen vielleicht langsam welche rein, nachdem sie die letzten Quartalszahlen ausgibig geprüft haben und diese auch auf den zweiten Blick vielversprechend aussehen.

Aber alles reine Spekulation.

Markterfolg für Bluetooth in greifbarer Nähe


In diesem Jahr wird weltweit ein Absatz von über 1,2 Millionen Bluetooth-fähigen Geräten erwartet. Das entspricht einem Jahresumsatz von mehr als 862 Millionen Dollar für den Gesamtwert der Produkte. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt eine neue Analyse der Unternehmensberatung Frost & Sullivan. Bis 2007 soll die jährliche Stückzahl dann die Milliardengrenze überschreiten und der weltweite Gesamtumsatz auf über 318 Milliarden Dollar ansteigen.

Nach Jahren der Rückschläge und enttäuschten Erwartungen bestünden nun realistischere Aussichten, dass die Milliardeninvestitionen in die Entwicklung der Bluetooth-Technologie sich auch auszahlen. Bisher scheiterte eine breite Markteinführung an technischen Problemen und den hohen Kosten, nun aber erobert Bluetooth handfeste Anwendungsbereiche, so die Analyse. Wichtige Schritte auf dem Weg zum Erfolg waren im Jahr 2001 die Entwicklung der ersten echten Ein-Chip-Lösungen, die sinkenden Kosten der Subsysteme und die Einführung von Geräten, die der Bluetooth-Spezifikation 1.1 entsprechen. Damit sei trotz weiter anhaltender Probleme mit Interferenz, Interoperabilität und Sicherheit der Durchbruch markiert. Auf dieser Basis lasse sich die Kundenakzeptanz ausbauen und die Entwicklung der nächsten Produktgeneration vorantreiben.

Frühere Prognosen haben Zeitraum der Markteinführung unterschätzt

Bluetooth als Industriestandard existiert erst seit dem Jahr 1998. Im Vergleich zu anderen Technologien, die zehn oder mehr Jahre für ihre Entwicklung brauchten, hat Bluetooth damit spektakuläre Fortschritte gemacht. Dennoch hatten frühere Prognosen von Frost & Sullivan den für die Markteinführung erforderlichen Zeitraum unterschätzt. Auch die gegenwärtige globale Konjunkturabschwächung zwingt die Unternehmensberatung zu einer erneuten Korrektur ihrer Vorhersagen.

Nach Michael Wall, Bluetooth-Spezialist bei Frost & Sullivan, lag bisher der Schwerpunkt bei Entwicklung und Einsatz von Bluetooth in Europa, jetzt drängt jedoch Nordamerika an die Spitze, und auch Asien macht rasante Fortschritte. In Europa ist das Handy die wichtigste Anwendung, auch wenn die größeren Handyanbieter noch mit der breiten Einführung zögern.
Die führenden Unternehmen sind hier Red-M, Bluetags, Norwood Systems, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Digianswer, Ericsson und Parthus Technologies. Der Absatz Bluetooth-fähiger Handys soll im Jahre 2007 weltweit 547 Millionen Stück erreichen, was einem Umsatz von 88 Milliarden Dollar entspricht.

In Nordamerika sind laut der Studie Computer- und Telekommunikationsausrüster wie Palm, 3Com, Motorola und Compaq und Chiphersteller wie Transilica, Zeevo, Texas Instruments und Agere Systems am stärksten im Bluetooth-Markt engagiert. In Asien liegen tragbare Computer als wichtigster Anwendungsbereich vor Mobiltelefonen. Von Unternehmen wie UMC und TSMC kommt ein Großteil der weltweiten Bluetooth-Chipproduktion, während TDK Group, ALPS, Taiyo Yuden, OKI Semiconductor und andere externe Komponenten und Module liefern.

Interesse besteht auch in Lateinamerika, Afrika und dem Nahen Osten. Damit erweist sich Bluetooth als wirklich globale Technologie. Weltweit haben sich inzwischen über 2.500 Unternehmen der Bluetooth Special Interest Group angeschlossen. (ck)

stimmt genau, daß die Bluetooth-Technik in der Perspektive voll zum tragen kommt (darum halte ich auch weiterhin Madge). Weiß nicht, ob Du Lintec AG kennst (am NM gelistet).
Habe erst vor ein paar Tagen in der Leipziger Volkszeitung ein Interviev mit Lindemeyer gelesen, da Lintec aus verschiedenen Gründen in die roten Zahlen rutschte. Die Quintessenz war jedoch, daß er voll auf seine Tochter rfi mobile setzt, welche sich mit der Bluetooth-Technologie befaßt.

Habe die guten Madge-Papiere auch noch im Depot - dat wird schon. :-)
Lintec hatte ich mir damals im Zuge meiner Bluetooth-Überzeugung auch reingelegt. Weiß jemand, wann RFI kommt?

Dachte erst, der Kurssturz wäre allein auf Depot-Kosmetik zum Jahresende zurückzuführen. Aber nein, da war ja noch diese Meldung von gestern:

Gewinnwarnung für Qu4 und Abfindung für den Firmengründer. Darüber hinaus die Mitteilung, dass man 1,5 Mio.$ aus den für Madge.web bereitgestellten Mitteln zurück erhält, allerdings auch dass umgekehrt 50 % der für die Abwicklung bereitgestellten 6,3 Mio. verloren sind.

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Dec 27, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Madge Networks N.V.
(NASDAQ NM: MADGF), a global supplier of advanced networking product solutions,
today announced that it has received back $1.5 million of the $6.3 million funds
provided to the administrators in relation to the Madge.web administration.

In total the company expects to receive back approximately half of the $6.3
million provided, although the timing and the amount of any future repayment is
not certain.

Negotiations have also been completed finalizing the compensation due to the
former CEO of Madge Networks, Robert Madge, for termination of his employment.
The compensation due to Mr. Madge will be spread over a two-year period. Details
of the compensation package will be available in the Form 6-K, which is due to
be filed with the SEC within the next few days.

The company also announced the appointment of Chris Semprini as CFO. Chris
Semprini was appointed deputy CFO in August 2001 when Chris Bradley, the former
CFO, announced his intention to leave the company by the end of the year.

In an update on the current quarter business situation the company stated that
it continued to experience a difficult business environment, mainly in the US.
As a result it now expects to see a decrease in revenues in the current quarter

Zwar gab es Verbesserungen, doch beim ersten Durchsehen fallen einige Dinge auf, die zeigen, wei riskant unser Engegament mit Madge immer noch ist und dass der momentane Kurs diese Risiken höher einschätzt als die weiterhin großen Chancen.

Zunächst positiv: Das operative Geschäft ist profitabel, ohne Sondereffekte bleiben pro Quartal rund 2 Mio.$ übrig (Erlöse mius Herstell-,Vertriebs-, Verwaltungs- und Entwicklungskosten)
bedenklich: es wird kaum noch Geld in Forschung und Entwicklung gesteckt

bedenklich: ca. 20 Mio.$ drohende Verbindlichkeiten vor allem für die Abwicklung von Mad.web - da sind die vorhandenen Cashbestände schnell dahin.


gut: Das operative Geschäft hat in den ersten 9 Monaten einen Cash-Flow von 18 Mio.$ gebracht, negativ: in die alten, aufzugegebenden Geschäfte flossen 34 Mio.$, Red M brachte knapp 9 Mio in die Kassen.


Vielleicht hat jemand von euch die Zeit, sich die Zahlen intensiv anzusehen. Würde mich über eine Diskussion freuen, insbesondere, da meine Bilanzierungskenntnisse noch aus Studienzeiten stammen und möglicherweise veraltet sind (US-GAAP war damals noch kein Thema).

hat jemand eine Ahnung, aus welchem Grund der Kurs wieder so in den Keller geht? 0,36$ ich fasse es nicht. Haben etwa schon einige in ihre Glaskugel geschaut und wissen was morgen im Conferenz Call abgeht? Ich jedenfalls habe nirgens irgendwelche News gefunden.

Hi Rbroker & all,
momentan habe ich es aufgegeben in irgendeiner Kursbewegung noch einen Sinn zu suchen. Momentan ist alles irrational, die Märkte suchen ihre Richtung.
Reale Folge: Das verunsichert jeden, der Aktien kaufen möchte, während die Verkäuferseite eher ansteigt. Nackte Marktwirtschaft, Angebotsüberhang führt zu sinkenden Preisen.
Was das alles mit Madge zu tun hat? Keine Ahnung! Dem Markt umfeld kann man sich nicht entziehen, aktuelle Meldungen sind nicht zu finden, die letzte war von Mitte Januar und absolut nicht negativ.

Ich bin echt gespannt auf die Zahlen. Von der Illusion, am Bluetooth-Boom teilzuhaben, werden wir uns wohl lösen müssen, aber ich könnte mir denken, dass die anderen Geschäftszweige weitaus profitabler sein werden.

Ich würde mich freuen, die Zahlen und Zukunftschancen demnächst mit euch zu diskutieren.

Hi Tbroker, bin auch von den Zahlen angenehm überrascht. Wenn sich aus den Altlasten kein weiteres Risiko ergibt, wird unser Investment ganz sicher wieder stetig wachsen. Im Gegenteil, in den Zahlen ist schon eine Menge Risiko eingerechnet, was in der Zukunft zu ausserordentlichen Erträgen führen könnte, so ist z.B. das Investment in Red-M komplett abgeschrieben.
Bzgl. FuE meine ich mich erinnern zu können, dass man Entwicklungsarbeiten verstärkt von Fremdanbietern realisieren läßt, dann würden diese nicht mehr und en FuE-Kosten auftauchen, sondern als Teil der Abschreibungen, da aktivierungspflichtig.
Muss aber bei Gelegenheit noch mal genauer nachlesen.
