AUSTIN, TX --(July 17, 2000)-- Met@box Corporation is now shipping joeCARD G4 processor upgrade cards with 2MB of backside cache for the Mac platform that can provide more than a twenty percent performance benefit over similar processors with only 1MB of backside cache.
The joeCARD has been produced and marketed in Germany, Europe and Japan for the last two years and has won awards from the European Macintosh Press including Editor`s Choice from MacWelt and best performance from MacUp magazine. An Austin, Texas-based US subsidiary was recently launched to market the joeCARD and bring the cutting edge Met@box digital set-top box to the US market.
The 2MB`s of backside cache has shown more than a twenty percent performance increase in popular desk top video applications such as Apple`s Final Cut Pro(tm) over the same processor with 1MB.
According to Clint Giles, President of Met@box Corporation, "We believe as Apple does, the next revolution has begun in desktop video publishing. Weils hier so schön rein passt...

(bo)
