Hier die Meldung von "es möge sein" von gestern. Er war der erste, der auf die Veröffentlichung der Bilder der 1000 er hinwies.
Der Inhalt des Briefes von Pete White ist doch sehr gehaltvoll und darum sollten wir diesen in einem eigneen thread auchwürdigen.

erreichte Herrn Peter White (hier im Board User PeteWhite, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere), den Vorstand der Met@box

Met@box AG?

3) "InteractiveTV Set-Top-Box"Do you (Motorola) plan Interactive TV with this box? wenn i remenber, i think, Motorola will 6
Mio. Set-Top-Boxes in this and next year. Run your Box with the Met@box`s OS?Interactive TV in USA or in German or
anywhere? i heard, Israel, France, Spanien, UK and North-european. But not in USA and German.

4) Do you know, that a consortium named InterNordic in North-european(<http://>www.internordic.net)

Hi XXXXX,

you had some questions regarding the mbx 1000. Right now the
information is not really for everybody but is also not secret
anymore.

We intend to give the "phoenix" an official launch in Germany early
next year. It has some very exciting features and some of them are
not mentioned in the document for various reasons (still secret).

The box is very modular which means it can be updated not only in
software but also in Hardware. Not many consumer electronic
devices have this capability. "InteractiveTV will not only change the
TV but technology will change with interactiveTV". A silly quote
>from me. This means devices must be modular.

The phoenix is very advanced and stylish. It is a unique concept
which would make our competitors very envious and nervous at the
same time. Phoenix will offer interactiveTV on Analogue and Digital
TV. We have some very good technology to help us synchronise
data and broadcast. You probably know it already. It is called BOT.
AT 79 KB/s it provides all the bandwidth necessary to transport
InteractiveTV applications to a device even if it doesn`t have digital
TV. Even if it is not an open standard it still transports software
which is based on open standards.

The unique bus architecture helps to make the Phoenix very
flexible and therefore can be used to decode digital video or data
>from any source, whether from harddisk, ethernet (DSL, Cable
modem etc.), DVB, or DVD. Our engineers have made this
possible by really focussing on solving the problems of the
emerging convergence world.

As you can see we are working hard here to be NUMBER ONE in
the future. Currently Met@box understands all of the issues
regarding interactiveTV. MHP and JavaTV plays a significant role in
what we are doing in the labs so expect to hear more about that
soon. Be sure that this product is based on open standards. It
supports common interface, java, javascript, MHP, JavaTV, all
forms of DVB, DVD, MPEG-1, MPEG-II, MP3, HTML 4.0, SSL
3.0,.....the list is long.

main features. All of the secret stuff has been left out.

Panasonic hat per Ad-Hoc bestätigt, daß Met@box AG 500,000 Fernbedienungen bestellt hat. Weitere Bestellungen wären
vorhanden, hieß es.


Motorola hat berichtet, daß Met@box ihren Chip verwendet.


Glaubt ihr immer noch, Phoenix Met@box 1000 existiere nicht?
poste hier, weil P.W ausdrücklich sagt, daß dies kein Geheimnis ist (oder bald so sein wird!).

Kommt drauf an was du unter Bemerkenswert verstehst. Habe mir da gestern abend schon ernsthaft Sorgen drueber gemacht.........
Sowas sollte nicht von einem Peter White kommen. Nix gut fuer langfristige Glaubwuerdigkeit!
