its obvious: liberty wants to overtake nearly the whole cable market in germany and the germans are scared that the `influence` will be too much (just one american firm controls what will be on screen in germany and what wont). imaging this is tough stuff!
whats more obvious for liberty than making a concession to the german industry if it saves one of new market firms, eg met@box (provided that box is really superb)? they cant bring everything with them just doing their business here. if they wanna do something like this here, they have to make concessions! thats business, innit?
