Palladon Ventures Ltd Intercepts Significant Copper and Other Metals in First Drilling at Hidden Treasure
BROOMFIELD, COLORADO, May 27, 2004 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Palladon Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:PLL) (" Palladon") is pleased to report that the first four drill holes of its current exploration campaign at the Hidden Treasure project all intercepted significant, near-surface copper mineralization, with gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten values.

Most of the copper-bearing intervals contain magnetite, but the iron content was not separately analyzed. The first three holes were drilled in the bottom of the historic Hidden Treasure mine open pit and were designed to test the near-surface, down-dip continuation of a the mineralized zone which extends from lip to lip within the pit. This mineralization has a strike length of about 240 meters, and is open to the east-southeast. The three holes were drilled in an open triangular pattern, with hole spacing of 20 and 8 meters. The drill logging and assays suggest that the top of the mineralized zone dips to the SSW at about 60 degrees, and the bottom of the mineralized zone dips about 23 degrees SSW. Some of the mineralization is present in the underlying quartz monzonite, the contact with which dips at about 35 degrees SSW. The extent of down-dip mineralization is not known with certainty, so Palladon plans additional drilling to test this target, both in the vicinity of the three holes and elsewhere within and adjoining the present pit.

The fourth hole (PHT-04) was drilled about 160 meters west-northwest of the west lip of the Hidden Treasure pit to verify a ten-meter down-dip offset discovered from an earlier shallow hole (# 53) drilled a quarter-century ago. No information had previously been available for metals other than copper, and the assay results indicate the presence of gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten as well as copper.

Ground magnetic data suggest a possible strike length for the Hidden Treasure Northwest Extension deposit of 700+ meters, of which only 160 meters has been partially drill-tested to date. Both deposits consist of one or several tabular, stratiform magnetite zones plus a mixture of oxide and sulfide copper and precious metals. The iron oxide-copper-precious metals zones are bounded by intrusive quartz monzonite on the footwall (lower) side of the deposits, and by unmineralized or lower-grade calc-silicate or marble on the hanging wall side. The zones dip moderately to steeply to the south-southwest, and strike west-northwesterly.

Palladon plans to conduct further step-out and infill drilling in the Hidden Treasure mine deposit and the Hidden Treasure Northwest Extension deposit. Palladon president George Young said "Our first drilling at two of the known iron oxide-copper-gold-silver deposits within the Western Utah Copper District has yielded encouraging results. There is ample room to add significantly to the amount of mineralized material previously-indicated by drilling. Both of these deposits are very near-surface, which contributes to their attractiveness for early establishment of mining. We plan to continue our drilling program at both deposits to establish value in these deposits."

Palladon ist eine Empfehlung von Dr. Richard Appel:

Palladon Resources has a number of projects in Utah and Argentina. They recently announced the option to acquire a 65% interest in an important land package in the Western Utah Copper District that required a number of years to acquire by the vender, the Western Utah Copper Company. Their interest can be raised to 80% if they spend $4 U.S. million to explore the property over a five year period and meet certain other criteria. Several exploration campaigns have been attempted by a number of major companies on these lands but were terminated for various reasons. It is believed by Palladon’s management that the now consolidated 41,000 acre property makes it possible for the first time, for one company to successfully conduct district-wide exploration. Anaconda drilled a number of deep holes in the 1960`s which returned assays of up to 486 feet of 0.70% copper and 0.017 oz. of gold. Noranda performed diamond drilling in the 1960`s and again in the 1990`s. Hole NRH-11 cut a gold interval of 100 feet averaging 0.015 ounces per tonne.

Based upon the reports by various major mining corporations which identified copper, gold and silver resources in the district, Palladon’s management believes that their lands hold great promise for the discovery of an important copper porphyry. Additionally, Western Utah Copper Company performed a feasibility study on one section of the consolidated property in 1998. This defined 54 million tonnes of ore containing about 2% copper. In order to earn into the land package, Palladon is required to update the study. Additionally, they believe that it may be possible to significantly expand the resource. Palladon will perform an extensive geophysical and geochemical study across the entire 60,000 acre land package, which includes about 19,000 acres already controlled by Palladon, and hope to initiate drilling by the Fall.

Palladon has a number of Argentinian properties. Many of these have already successfully experienced their first stages of exploration and continue to be moved forward. Drill targets have been identified at Laguna Guadalosa, while targets at Trebol (Gran Bajo de San Julian), Tres Hermanas and Rio Deseado are being delineated. They plan on drilling Laguna Guadalosa within the next month.

George Young is their CEO. He has been credited with a number of mines. The company is in the process of completing a $5.6 C. million financing. They recently sold a $1.068 C. million convertible debenture and will be strongly financed. This will allow their aggressive advancement on both their Utah and Argentina projects.

I believe that the surging copper price will greatly benefit the company in their updating of the feasibility study in Utah. If the study is successful, it is hoped that they will enter the ranks of the producing companies. Given their strong management and important land positions in Utah and Argentina, I believe that Palladon’s future is quite bright. I am acquiring shares of Palladon.

Palladon Ventures Ltd. Intercepts Copper and Other Metals in First Three Holes at Maria; Additional Data on Hidden Treasure Northwest Extension
BROOMFIELD, COLORADO, May 31, 2004 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Palladon Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:PLL) ("Palladon") is pleased to report that the first three drill holes of its current exploration campaign at the Maria deposit, in its Western Utah Copper Project, intercepted significant copper mineralization, plus potentially-valuable gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten. The Maria deposit is located about 650 meters south of the Hidden Treasure deposit, which Palladon recently successfully drilled (see Palladon Ventures News Release dated May 27, 2004). The Maria deposit is elongated in a northwest direction, and is subparallel to the strike of the Hidden Treasure deposit. Hole PMA-01 was positioned to test the limit of the deposit on the north (footwall) side, and cut mineralized intervals. Hole PMA-02, positioned near the projected center of the main mineralized zone at a near-surface level, cut 33.5 meters grading 2.13% copper within a vertical interval of 102.1 meters averaging 1.05% copper. Assays have not yet been received for hole PMA-03, nor for the first 9.1 meters of hole PMA-02.

Most of the copper-bearing intervals contain substantial iron mineralization in the form of magnetite, but the iron content was not separately analyzed.

The Maria deposit is about 800 meters south-southeast from the Hidden Treasure Northwest Extension deposit, which Palladon recently tested in a single shallow drillhole (see Palladon Ventures News Release dated May 27, 2004). Drill hole PHT-04 intersected 18.3 meters of mineralization, consisting of an upper iron-rich zone and a lower iron-rich zone, separated by a narrow band of low-grade marble. The earlier News Release set forth the assays for two 1.5-meter intervals from these iron-rich zones. The table below contains further information on the mineralization zone at the Hidden Treasure Northwest Extension deposit.

The Maria deposit is located in the eastern portion of the Western Utah Copper District in the Rocky mining district, Beaver County, Utah. The Maria deposit consists of several tabular, parallel stratiform skarn zones (locally called veins) containing abundant magnetite (primary iron oxide) plus a mixture of oxide and sulfide copper, and other metals including gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten. The metal-bearing zone is generally bounded by intrusive quartz monzonite on one or both sides of the deposit, or by unmineralized or lower-grade calc-silicate skarn, quartzite or marble. The mineralized zone dips steeply to the southwest, and strikes northwesterly.

Maria vertical holes PMA-01, PMA-02 and PMA-03 were drilled in a southwesterly line near the center of the deposit, along survey section line "G". Hole -03 is 7 meters southwest of hole -02, which is 11 meters southwest of hole -01. The holes were drilled from the bottom of an existing, relatively shallow open pit which has exposed the deposit along most of its 365+ meter strike length. Hole -01 was collared near the footwall edge of the steeply-southwest dipping main mineralized zone, and tested the strata in the footwall beneath the known deposit. Hole -02 was collared near the hanging-wall edge of the deposit, and tested the main mineralized zone from surface downward, as well as the strata in the footwall beneath. Hole -03 was collared in hanging-wall quartz monzonite, and intercepted the top of the mineralized zone at a depth of 61 meters. The footwall, low-grade copper-bearing zone in hole -01 extends from 12 meters depth to 85 meters, with scattered copper showings below. The 15.2 meter intercept of interesting molybdenum and tungsten values in brown grossular-andradite skarn was encountered beginning at a depth of 112.8 meters, well below the main copper-bearing skarn zone. The main mineralized zone in hole -02 was intercepted from the surface to 90 meters depth, with the high-grade zone extending from 12 meters depth to 58 meters. Based upon visual logging of hole -03, the main copper-bearing zone in hole -03 extends from 62 meters depth to 119 meters, with the high-grade zone extending from 64 meters depth to 85 meters. On the basis of results from the three drill holes (including visual analysis of hole -03, which needs assay confirmation), the higher-grade portion of the main deposit dips about 80 degrees to the southwest, and has a vertical extent of at least 85 meters. Copper mineralization extends downward at least 118 meters. Notable molybdenum and tungsten mineralization is present at depths of up to 128 meters below the present surface.

Palladon plans to conduct further drilling in the Maria deposit. Palladon president George S.Young said, "Palladon`s initial drilling at the Maria deposit has been encouraging, not only because of the copper intercepts but also because of the presence of molybdenum and tungsten. The drilling results indicate that the copper and other mineralization extend to considerable depth within this deposit. The mineralized zone begins at the present surface, which adds to the attractiveness of this deposit for potential early development. We plan to continue our drilling program at the Maria, to further test the mineralization along strike and down dip, and to establish a relationship with the known mineralization in the Valley Copper area."

      Palladon Ventures Ltd.

New Coverage (January Dispatch @ $0.68)

In December I (David) flew south for an update on Mag Silver’s projects in Mexico with company President George Young. George asked if and I agreed to head down early and take a look at a copper project he had just acquired in Utah for another company. This required flying over the Bingham Canyon mine outside of Salt Lake three times, the outsized copper porphyry system that is the model for PLL’s work in Utah (and most other bulk tonnage copper mines). After a century in production at Bingham the search is on to replace it, and since this one of Young’s first work places he decided to be part of that hunt with the Milford project.

PLL has just finished a $5.8 million financing to line up and test targets at the copper-gold project in Utah. It will also complete targeting on a number of the gold-silver projects PLL holds in the Patagonia gold district. This was PLL’s initial focus, and Young’s other main area of work history.

In fact we first met him when he was running a joint venture with IMA in the last mining cycle. The large scale copper target compliments the high-grade precious metals targeting, and the two work areas will allow a stream of summer reporting year round. We feel that this type of large scale exploration potential is the best way to take advantage of the spike in copper’s price and expect speculative gains for PLL as work progresses there. The Patagonia portfolio, like most of the projects in this new gold-silver region, exhibit potential because the right pieces are in place with low surface grades indicating the ’”bonanza” level may be just below surface. Setting up targets for drill testing late in the year when precious metal prices are likely to be on the rise and several more advanced Patagonia projects will be news makers therefore makes strong sense.

Accumulate, if possible on dips relating to metal price retrenchment.

      OVERVIEW

In many ways, the modern copper mining industry began
with Bingham Canyon. Large scale mining and several now
standard recovery techniques started there. It has generated more copper than any other mine in history over its century at scale, and a significant measure of other metals. Finding a potential replacement for the infrastructure developed around it is a potential huge win.

At this point, Palladon’s Milford project can be seen to have the requisite pieces associated with large copper deposits, and the system has the overall scale to contain one. Since the system has never had a single operator until now, PLL’s potential is ased on pulling together
strands from past work to find the sweet spot, if it exists, at a shallow enough depth to allow
development into existing infrastructure. The bulk tonnage potential aside, additions to existing oxide and/or high-grade zones could produce a mineable deposit at smaller scale.

This alone would revalue PLL, and testing of some of these areas may produce the project’s first successes while targeting is being completed on large scale targets. The Patagonian targets boast similarities to AngloGold’s Vanguardia Mine and Minera Andes San Jose project, plus several others likely to become news worthy as the year continues. When PLL is ready to test these late this year, the market should have a much stronger understanding of how this district can produce mineable material below low surface grades. We consider this project set as strong in its potential as is Milford. CORPORATE SUMMARY Palladon has been through many corporate incarnations in the past two decades including four share rollbacks, HRA Journal 6 the last in 2000 when the name was changed to the current form. The company was taken over as an inactive shell by current management in 2002.

The first half of 2003 was taken up with project acquisitions in Argentina and later Utah, financed by a series of small lower priced placements. By July 2003, PLL had completed enough of the reactivation process to have the inactive status lifted and start working on larger financings. Palladon tied up the Milford acquisition soon afterwards and the increasing news flow helped firm up the share price. Palladon competed a debenture financing in December 2003 (convertible into shares@ $0.68) then followed that up with the just completed brokered placement of 8.1MM units at $0.80. PLL’s current cash position of over $7 million more than covers anticipated expenditures well into 2005. Several million dollars worth of warrants and options are “in the money” and could generate cash going forward. These exercises will help to generate some more liquidity but unless copper prices really soften we don’t expect them to pull the share price down much.

The hallmark of George Young’s deals (see MAG Silver) has always been very “well placed” stock that seems to do what its told. Notwithstanding the cent financings the company has barely started getting is story out and is still getting its website up. We will add the new web address and other contact info in an update when they are completed. We’ll keep the management summary brief due to space limitations and because some of you are already familiar with Palladon’s president George Young as the principal of MAG Silver. George has 30 years of industry experience, much of it in Argentina and Utah, and is a mining lawyer and metallurgist. He was integral in choosing the Argentine project package for American Resource Corp that was later sold for $120 million. and formed the company that discovered Gualcamayo which was JV’d to and is now held by Viceroy Resources. He’s very good at structuring a deal and placing stock intelligently as the trading for MAG Silver shows, and he’s fond of the “big picture” concept plays that tend to hold investor’s attention.

Other board members of PLL include Miguel Di Nanno, an Argentine national who was a consultant on several successful projects, such as Agua Rica and Esquel; Don White, another industry consultant who has been directly involved in several SW US and Central America resource discoveries; Robert Hodder, a retired geology professor from the University of Western Ontario with extensive experience in Patagonia; and Douglas Silver, a well known mineral economist with a broad background as both an explorationist and project valuator. PROJECTS SUMMARY The “porphyry” in porphyry copper deposit refers to a rock texture with one of the rock forming minerals being much larger (five times largerby definition) than the others. This indicates the magma cooled at shallow depths, and in a manner that makes saturation by metal bearing fluids more likely. The classic porphyrymodel is a concentrically zoned system with a pyrite rich (therefore economically poor) core surrounded by a copper rich ring and peripheral zinc rich outer zone. On the edges of the bulk tonnage system are often highgrade lead-zinc-silver veins. Some porphyry deposits are controlled by through going faults and are therefore more linear in form.

Und wieder gute Bohrergebnisse von Maria :)

Palladon Ventures Ltd. Extends Maria Mineralized Zone Down Dip
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jul 6, 2004 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --

Palladon Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:PLL) ("Palladon") is pleased to report results from Hole PMA-03, which successfully proved the down dip extension of the mineralized zone encountered in Holes PMA-01 and PMA-02 (See press release of May 31, 2004). Vertical hole PMA-03 was positioned about 7.6 m southwest of hole PMA-02, and intersected mineralization between a depth of 62 to 119 meters. The higher grade portion of the mineralized zone was penetrated between 65.5 meters and 85.3 meters. Lower-grade copper mineralization was intersected beneath the higher-grade zone, to a depth of 119 meters, and anomalous copper continued to a depth of 142 meters.

The Maria project is located about 650 meters south of the Hidden Treasure mineralized zone, which Palladon recently successfully drilled (see press release of May 27, 2004). The Maria project is elongated in a northwest direction, and subparallel to the strike of the Hidden Treasure mineralization. Hole PMA-01 was positioned to test the deposit on the north (footwall) side, and cut mineralized intervals. Hole PMA-02, positioned near the projected center of the main mineralized zone at a near-surface level, cut 33.5 meters grading 2.13% copper within a vertical interval of 102.1 meters averaging 1.05% copper. Most of the copper-bearing intervals contain substantial iron mineralization in the form of magnetite, but the iron content was not separately analyzed.

The Maria project is located in the eastern portion of the Western Utah Copper District Beaver County, Utah. It consists of several tabular, parallel stratiform skarn zones (locally called veins) containing abundant magnetite plus a mixture of oxide and sulfide copper, and gold, silver, molybdenum and tungsten. The metal-bearing zone is generally bounded by intrusive quartz monzonite on one or both sides of the deposit, or by unmineralized or lower-grade calc-silicate skarn, quartzite or marble. The mineralized zone dips steeply to the southwest, and strikes northwesterly. On the basis of results from the three drill holes, the higher-grade portion of the main zone dips about 80 degrees to the southwest, and has a vertical extent of at least 85 meters. Copper mineralization extends downward at least 118 meters. Notable molybdenum and tungsten mineralization is present at depths of up to 128 meters below the present surface.

Palladon plans to conduct further drilling at the Maria deposit. Palladon president George S. Young said "the Maria mineralization begins at the surface, and continues to a considerable depth. It is also open at depth and along strike. We believe Maria is an attractive candidate for early development, and we plan to continue our drilling to further test the mineralization along strike and to establish a relationship with the known mineralization in the Valley Copper area."

      Und wieder tolle Drillergebnisse :)

Palladon Ventures Ltd. Provides Drilling Update
BROOMFIELD, COLORADO, Jul 27, 2004 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Palladon Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PLL) ("Palladon") is pleased to report the following drilling and exploration update on its Western Utah Copper Project. To date, the Palladon/Western Utah Copper Company joint venture has drilled 22 reverse circulation rotary (RCR) holes for a total of 8,285 feet (2,525 meters) between April 26 and July 9, 2004. The average depth per hole is 377 feet (115 meters). Assay results have been returned for 16 of the holes. Additional work of significance includes the dozing of the approximately 6,000-foot (1,830-meter) long Breccia Peak access road through a portion of a broad hydrothermal alteration zone north of the OK Mine. Strong sericitic, argillic and silicic alteration, locally intense, has been exposed in crackle brecciated, sheared and faulted granodiorite/monzonite intrusive, and andesite along new road cuts.

The drilling program was designed to test for gold (Comet area) and/or gold/copper (PZ area) or copper (Maria, Hidden Treasure, Copper Ranch and OK-11 area) mineralization. Drilling was intended to test those areas where known mineralization could be extended (Maria, Hidden Treasure, Copper Ranch), where surface sample results warranted immediate drill testing (Comet), or drilling by previous operators indicated significant mineralization might be intercepted in a "wildcat" hole (OK-11 area).

The drilling to date has provided important geological information useful for vectoring in on targets. Hole POK-11 was drilled to twin and deepen an old, relatively shallow, Bear Creek Mining Company exploration drill hole. The hole was also drilled on the peak of a dipole-dipole IP anomaly generated from an old 1963 survey. POK-11 encountered significant chalcopyrite throughout the 925-foot (282-meter) length of the hole. Assays are pending Additional geophysics is planned, specifically ground magnetics and appropriate, updated electrical methods.

The table below summarizes drill holes by area as well as lists
      significant intercepts:

Previous reports prepared by predecessors of Palladon have identified resources in the District that include copper, gold, and silver, as well as significant values of tungsten and molybdenum. Rock units in the District include sedimentary rocks of Paleozoic and Mesozoic age and igneous rocks of Tertiary age. All of the sedimentary and igneous units show the effects of varying degrees of hydrothermal alteration, with the sedimentary rocks being universally altered to diopside-garnet-wallastonite-magnetite skarns.

Palladon intends to update and finalize the existing feasibility study within the next year to verify the resources and reserves as stated in the previous reports and to determine the economics of placing the area into production. At the same time, it will perform additional exploration and evaluation work in order to elevate the status of the remaining materials to the proven and probable reserve category.

Palladon also believes the District has tremendous exploration potential to host a large copper porphyry system in the rest of its 60,000 acres. The District now has only recently been consolidated for the first time, making it possible now to conduct District-wide exploration that was impossible previously, despite several campaigns by major companies that have generated interesting results. Deep core holes drilled by Anaconda in the 1960’s targeted a large zone with copper porphyry potential. DH AMC-26 cut nearly 900 feet of mineralization with 486 feet grading 0.70% Cu and 0.017 oz. per ton Au. Exploration work by Noranda in the 1960’s and later in the 1990’s encountered mineralization in several intervals. Hole NRH-11, drilled in the 1960’s, cut anomalous gold grades over a depth of 225 feet, with the interval from 125-225 feet averaging 0.015 ounces per ton Au in skarn sediments and intrusive rocks. Kennecott’s gold exploration subsidiary, Bear Creek, performed exploration on the area known as the OK-11 Target, cutting strong potassic and phyllic alteration containing up to 0.20% Cu. The San Francisco area of the District hosts a large sulfide system and contains the historic Cactus Mine surrounded by a number of breccia pipes anomalous in gold and silver. Palladon plans to conduct systematic evaluation of previous work and available data, followed by strategic and intensive exploration targeted to identify significant copper and gold mineralization.

      Dr. Appel

I recently spent two days visiting Palladon’s nearly 60,000 acre Utah copper/gold project. They are working on proving up a resource that has already undergone a 1998 feasibility study, to 43-101 standards. While visiting various sections of the project I could not be more impressed with the numerous copper and gold occurrences that I saw; some of which had already been mined. Utah is noted for its Bingham Canyon Mine. This mine has been in production for over 100 years and has produced the greatest amount of copper and gold, at current prices, of any mine in the United States. Palladon will shortly begin a detailed, 3-D geophysical flight survey across a large section of their project. Their hope is to delineate a Bingham Canyon look- alike. The airborne survey should be completed by September and, if it is successful, will define targets that will be immediately followed up with drilling.

      Eric Cofin

A quick return trip to Palladon Ventures (PLL-V; closing off 4 cents at $0.40 on 27,920 shares) Western Utah project gave me a look at a large area of newly discovered silica alteration in the “Breccia Peak” area roughly in the centre of the project area that looks like the cap area of hydrothermal system. This was a piece of the puzzle missing in the last visit, and one that now has to be fit into the bigger picture. Just released drill results from the project confirm that the Comet breccia body in the western end of the project has gold grades in the 1 g/t range. While this body is too small to viable at this grade, it indicates a gold potential if similar grades can be found at the porphyry scale that will be targeted. Confirmation drilling at the skarn system on the eastern end of the system cut some long intersections of +1% copper, as expected, with generally low levels of other metals known to be part of the system. Now that the high-grade showings on either end of the project have been confirmed, focus on the big picture system will get stronger. The market’s neutral response to the results is likely to continue until plans for that work is better outlined.

      Patagonia Land Position
      Laguna Guadalosa..........15,700 (hectares)
      Gran Bajo........................35,000
      Tres Hermanas................25,000
      Cerro Choique.................15,600
      Lago Cholilla....................3,000
      Rio Deseado....................60,000
      Total 124,300

in Argentinien.
