Turkish Stocks Fall; Shares Drop as IMF Wants Reforms Passed Istanbul, July 2 (Bloomberg) -- Turkish stocks fell, reversing a two-day rise, after the International Monetary Fund said it will supply loans provided that the government passes economic reforms.

The National Index of Turkey`s 100 largest companies fell 299.1 points, or 5.80 percent, to 4860.88.

Shares in the following companies made significant gains or losses. The stock symbol is in parentheses after the company name.

Banks, which have risen in the last two days on IMF loan prospects, fell on concerns their earning prospects won`t warrant higher share prices. Turkiye Is Bankasi AS (ISCTR TI), the No. 3 non-state bank, fell 3.85 percent to 7,500 liras. Akbank TAS (AKBNK TI), the second-largest non-government bank, fell 9.38 percent to 5,800 liras. Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (YKBNK TI), the largest non-state bank, fell 4.62 percent to 6,200 liras. Finansbank AS (FINBN TI), another non-state bank, fell 5.0 percent to 1,425 liras.

Turkey`s largest holding companies fell on concern their second-quarter earning prospects won`t warrant higher share prices. Koc Holding AS (KCHOL TI), Turkey`s biggest industrial group which makes everything from cars to household appliances, fell 3.70 percent to 26,000 liras. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (SAHOL TI), a finance to textiles company, fell 2.04 percent to 9,600 liras. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (DOHOL TI), a holding company which has interests in media and energy, fell 7.14 percent to 5,200 liras. Ihlas Holding AS (IHLAS TI), an energy to finance company, fell 6.67 percent to 10,500 liras.

Companies due to be sold by the state fell after the IMF said the government should first proceed with asset sales and will provide loans afterwards. Turkish Airlines (THYAO TI) fell 10.13 percent to 17,750 liras. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari AS (EREGL TI), a state steelmaker, fell 8.06 percent to 5,700 liras. Tupras Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (TUPRS TI), a state petroleum refiner, fell 8.62 percent to 26,500 liras. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (PETKM TI), a state petrochemical company, fell 9.38 percent to 5,800 liras.

Istanbul, May 24 (Bloomberg) -- Ihlas Holding AS, a holding company with investments in the television and radio broadcasting industries, said it earned 1.19 trillion Turkish lira, or 409.82 Turkish lira a share, for the quarter ended March 31, 1999, compared with earnings of 1.57 trillion Turkish lira, or 540.99 Turkish lira a share, in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue was 34.97 trillion Turkish lira, compared with 39.87 trillion Turkish lira.

Der Kurs beträgt in der Türkei umgerechnet sogar nur 0,02 Cent. Finger weg!

Habe IHLAS vor ein paar Wochen in Istanbul für 0,00055 € gekauft, jetzt schon über 60 % Gewinn.

Weiß jemand warum die so steigen, die jetzt vorgelegte Bilanz 2002 ist doch wirklich nicht berauschend?
