Amerikanische Wissenschaftler stellen einen funktionsfähigen Prototypen für eine Chipkühlung vor, der aus einem Emitter (Radius= 1 Mikron) und Empfänger besteht und direkt in einen Chip integriert werden könnte.

Eine eingebaute Ionenpumpe transportiert Ionen in ein elektrisches Feld in Richtung Empfänger, wodurch ein Luftstrahl entsteht, der den Mikrochip kühlt und selbst über die angelegte Spannung kontrolliert wird. Für die Fortsetzung ihrer Entwicklungsarbeit erhalten die US-Forscher jetzt 100.000 USD vom "Washington Technology Center" in Seattle.

Als Unternehmen sind KRONOS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES und INTEL beteiligt. Da es sich um ein sehr kompliziertes dynamisches System handelt, bildet die Ausarbeitung des entsprechenden mathematischen Modells ein Schwerpunkt der weiteren Arbeit; ein anderer ist die Suche nach dem besten Material.

EOL's Tree(tm) Device Receives Category I Classification, the Highest Possible Clearance

(OTCBB:KNOS), announced today that the Kronos-powered Tree(tm) air purification device, designed and manufactured by Kronos' Russian partner EOL, LLC, has passed its final clinical trial and has been approved by the Russian Research Institute of Medical Equipment for use in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The device received Category I approval, which means the product has met the strictest regulations required for a device to be used in operating rooms and other areas that require a sterile environment.

Kronos Executes Letter of Intent With a Leading National Retailer

BELMONT, Mass., Oct 9, 2007 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) --
Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:KNOS) President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Dwight announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Kronos Air Technologies, Inc. executed a Letter of Intent for the development, manufacture and sale of air purification devices based upon Kronos' proprietary air movement and purification technology with a leading national retailer.

It is expected that Kronos and the retailer would enter into a definitive purchase agreement providing for the exclusive sale of private label residential standalone air purifiers through the retailer's distribution channels before year end. Actual purchases of the products are dependent on the successful development of the product, the negotiation of a definitive purchase agreement incorporating the terms of the letter of intent, other usual and customary terms and the retailers' discretion.

Under the terms of the Letter of Intent, the retailer has paid Kronos a portion of the development costs of the new products and will contribute marketing resources to assist in the product development process. The intent of the parties is for Kronos to lead and manage all development, production and manufacturing activities for the Kronos air purifier and for the retailer to actively market the Kronos air purifier through their distribution channels.
