Oct 1 (Reuters) - Canada's Magellan Aerospace Corp (MAL.TO), said its UK unit has reached an agreement with Airbus (EAD.PA) to make machined components for the centre wing box of Airbus' A350 XWB twin-aisle commercial aircraft.

The work package secured by Magellan Aerospace (UK) Ltd consists of a number of large, complex machined aluminium-lithium components for the aircraft's centre wing box, including Rib 1 and a range of attachment fittings and flange Ribs.

The agreement covers delivery of the first 400 units to Airbus, with unit pricing yet to be finalized, Magellan said in a statement.

The aerospace components supplier said initial production will utilize existing capacity at Magellan's facilities in the UK at Bournemouth and Wrexham, with investment in new high-technology equipment planned as the production rate increases in 2012.

Shares of Magellan closed at C$1.53 Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Koustav Samanta in Bangalore; Editing by Maju Samuel)

Ich warte erstmal ab, obwohl der Tipp von BV nicht ohne ist.
Nun den Pollinger zu verurteilen, ist quatsch.
Hier reden wir von einem großen Zuliefer der Rüstungs- und Luftfahrtindustrie.
Einzig der Nettogewinn ist etwas mickrig, das stört mich an der Company.

ich denke jetzt bei einem euro kann man guter dinge sein und einsteigen gerade mal bei dem Kgv von 1, kann es nur nach oben gehn

Ich vermute das der Nettogewinn noch ausgebaut wird , aber gerade jetzt so ein Unternehmen zu haben wo seinen Umsatz kontinuirlich steigert, gibt es bei der Marktsituation selten,
aktuell bei 1,00 euro ein klarer kauf

wenn ich mich mal so einschalten darf ?
Was mich an der ganzen Sache stört, ist die hohe Verschuldung von Magellan Aerospace und das in der jetzigen Krise, in der man ja nicht gerade mit Krediten zugeschüttet wird. Wie seht Ihr das eigentlich ? Ansonsten ist der Wert schon sehr interessant, wenn auch sehr spakulativ. Im Moment traue ich mich alt noch nicht.

Nachdem die Holzfäller bei 1,44 CAD geschlossen haben, ist es nicht schwer, sich auf ein UP festzulegen.
Ich schätze, wir erreichen die 0,92 EUR vor 15.30 Uhr.
Wie es danach weiter geht ? Schau'n mer ma !

Seit ihr hoffentlich auch hier investiert?

Was denkt ihr wie es nächste Woche in D weitergehen wird?

Normalerweise müsste man ja bei dem Anstieg erstmal verkaufen und
Gewinne mitnehmen.

Aber ich denke in diesem Wert kann mach auch long bleiben.
Ausserdem gibt es auch eine schöne Divende jedes Jahr...

Soeben gefunden: Dividende wird jedes Quartal gezahlt, die letzten Jahre waren es immer 0,20 CAD !

Hallo, die Zahlen sehen ja recht gut aus ! Hochgerechnet 0,80 CAD. Da haben wir immer noch ein KGV von 2,60 ( Saugünstig ).
Der neue Auftrag denke ich spielt hier auch eine große Rolle, da er einen Teil der Umsätze aus dem Flugzeuggeschäft, welches ja bis Mitte 2010 Anfang 2011 als schlecht und unkalkulierbar eingestuft wird.

Denke am Montag sehen wir die 2,50 CAD. Da jetzt einige Investoren aufmersam werden.

Eine Dividende denke ich wird nicht gezahlt. Es wird erst einmal die Eigenkapitalstruktur ( Wirtschaftskrise ) verbessert !

Die Dividende wird nur auf die Prefered waren glaube ich 2.000.000 mio Stück gezahlt.
Dachte zuerst alle wären prefered aktien.
Der Gewinn steht aber somit bis auf doe 2.000.000 im Unternehmen !

TORONTO, May 12 /CNW/ - Magellan Aerospace Corporation announced today that it has reached agreement with Rolls-Royce Plc and Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG to manufacture mainline shafts and stub shafts for various Rolls-Royce engine programs. The work will be performed on these flight safety critical rotating parts at Magellan's Middleton Aerospace facility in Haverhill, MA. It is estimated that the gross program revenue will be approximately $US 425 million over the 15-year term of the agreement.

The first deliveries are expected to be made in the second half of 2010, Magellan said in a statement.

"Magellan will utilize its existing equipment for initial production, but will expand its manufacturing footprint at the Haverhill facility to accommodate the new equipment and processes required to support full-scale production for the program," the company said in a statement.

The work will be performed at Magellan's Middleton Aerospace facility in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

May 17 (Reuters) - Aerospace industry supplier Magellan Aerospace Corp's (MAL.TO) first-quarter results beat estimates despite a 61 percent fall in income, helped by strong demand in its Canadian segment.

The company earned C$3.1 million, or 6 Canadian cents a share, compared with net income of C$7.9 million, or 41 Canadian cents a share a year ago.

Revenue dipped by 1 percent to C$177.9 million, while revenue from the Canadian segment rose 17 percent to C$98.8 million.

Analysts on average were expecting earnings of 3 Canadian cents a share on revenue of C$175.5 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Magellan, which recently inked a $425 million supply deal with British engine-maker Rolls-Royce (RR.L) and its German unit, also said demand for new aircraft in the civil airline sector remains stronger than expected.

"Order rates are returning to more traditional levels, following slowness during the global economic crisis," Magellan added.
