One of the most difficult balancing acts for a junior gold explorer to manage is to weigh the junior’s need for constant news flow against more senior joint venture partner’s less urgent news demands. TomaGold’s (V.LOT) David Grondin sees the solution as being a “project generator”.

“In 2016 we did four acquisitions,” said Grondin. “Now we are adding value by exploring and drilling.”

A good example of this strategy is TomaGold’s recently acquired and 100% owned Obalski property 2 km south of Chibougamau, Quebec. In a press release dated March 16, 2017 TomaGold intersected semi-massive sulphides grading 15.0 g/t Au, 46.8 g/t Ag and 10.4% Cu over 2.0 metres, including 21.3 g/t Au, 52.3 g/t Ag and 8.6% Cu over one metre, at a vertical depth of 95 metres. In that release, Grondin is quoted as saying, “We are excited about these initial results on Obalski. According to the old Obalski mine plans and sections, we believe that Hole OB-17-02 could be the eastern extension of Zone A, which produced 90,000 tonnes at grades of 3.0 g/t Au, 6.2 g/t Ag and 1.52% Cu between 1964 and 1972. However, more drilling will be required to confirm this hypothesis. As mentioned previously, we are also aiming to assess the property’s gold potential at depth, because although over 60,000 metres of drilling has been done on the property in the past, most of it was in shallow holes.”

For Grondin, Obalski is a perfect exploration project for TomaGold to add value to. “There is a shaft sunk. There are 60,000 meters of historic drill results to put together into a database. There is plenty of room to drill.” said Grondin. “We are starting with great potential.”

TOMAGOLD REPORTS THAT IAMGOLD INTERSECTED 121.67 G/T AU OVER 3.1 METRES ON MONSTER LAKE

TomaGold Corp. is providing an update on Iamgold Corp.'s continuing exploration program at its Monster Lake joint venture project (Iamgold: 50 per cent; TomaGold: 45 per cent) located 50 kilometres southwest of Chibougamau, Que. Iamgold reported assay results from the first 11 drill holes, totalling just over 5,100 metres, from a total of 24 diamond drill holes, totalling 10,657 metres, completed this past winter.

The assay results are provided in the associated table and include the following highlights (a drill hole plan map and longitudinal sections are shown on the company's website):

Monster Lake shear zone, Megane zone and Annie shear zone:

The Monster Lake project (IAMGOLD 50%/TomaGold 45%) is located 50 kilometres southwest of Chibougamau (Quebec), Canada.

The drilling program will start this week and will consist of approximately 8,000 metres. This particular drilling program is designed to target high potential areas along the 3-kilometre trend of the Monster Lake Shear Zone ("MLSZ") and associated structures to verify few known zones of mineralization already intersected in specific areas, including the possible second zone along the main hosting structure MLSZ located 200 to 400 metres to the north of the 325-Megane Zone. Structural patterns indicate the possibility of new ore shoots along this major corridor.

Drilling will focus on five main areas:

The Main and Lower Zones SW of the 325-Megane Zone.
The Main and Lower Zones NE of the 325-Megane Zone.
Big Mama E-W structure.

TOMAGOLD STARTS WORK ON LITTLE MONSTER, COOKIE MONSTER, MONSTER ISLAND AND HAZEUR

TomaGold Corp. will carry out a high-definition magnetic VTEM-type airborne survey with Geotech by the end of November.

The survey will cover the Little Monster, Cookie Monster, Monster Island and Hazeur properties, and will consist of about 440 kilometres of flight lines for a total area of 6,595 hectares (66 square km). These contiguous properties lie along the eastern and southern boundaries of the Monster Lake, Lac-a-l'Eau-Jaune and Winchester properties, which are currently covered by a 50/50 joint venture with Iamgold Corp.

"We are keen to pursue work on our properties around Monster Lake," said David Grondin, president and chief executive officer of TomaGold. "We expect this preliminary work to generate an initial set of targets for additional work in 2016. Although we recently solidified our financial position, we remain cautious and strategic in terms of the expenses we incur to establish the gold potential on our properties."

TomaGold's recently acquired Monster Island and Hazeur properties add an area of 3,913 hectares to the 2,682 hectares already covered by the Little Monster and Cookie Monster properties. The Monster Island property (1,173 hectares) lies directly on top of anomalies identified by a VTEM survey done by Iamgold on Monster Lake in the winter of 2015, while the Hazeur property (2,740 hectares) covers the large Opawica-Guercheville deformation zone, which hosts the Bachelor mine in Desmaraisville and the Joe Mann mine in Chibougamau.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 2, 2015) - TOMAGOLD CORPORATION (TSX VENTURE:LOT) ("TomaGold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has renegotiated the Monster Lake project agreement with IAMGOLD Corporation ("IAMGOLD").

Under the terms of the new agreement, IAMGOLD will acquire a 50% interest in the Monster Lake project, which comprises the Monster Lake, Winchester and Lac-à-l'Eau-Jaune properties, in exchange for a $3.22 million cash payment to TomaGold, which will be paid at the closing of the transaction.

IAMGOLD will also have an option to acquire an additional 25% interest by spending $10 million in exploration work over a 7-year period, with a minimum of $500,000 to be spent each year. The effective starting date for the exploration work commitment will be January 1, 2015.

Upon IAMGOLD earning a 75% interest in the Monster Lake project, TomaGold will have the option to fund its pro-rata share of exploration expenditures to keep its interest in the project, subject to a dilution clause if the Company is unable to fund its share of exploration expenditures. If TomaGold is diluted to a 10% interest in the project, it's ownership interest will be converted to a 1.5% NSR with a buyback provision. IAMGOLD would then have the possibility to buy back a 0.75% NSR for $2 million and the payment for the remaining 0.75% NSR would be capped at $8 million........

TOMAGOLD CONSOLIDATES ITS POSITION AROUND MONSTER LAKE WITH THE ACQUISITION OF INTERESTS IN THE HAZEUR AND MONSTER ISLAND PROPERTIES

TomaGold Corp. has signed two acquisition agreements enabling it to consolidate its position around the Monster Lake property. TomaGold is therefore focusing on its properties in Quebec and abandoning its announced plans in Arizona.

Acquisition of a 70-per-cent interest in the Hazeur property

The company has finalized an option agreement with Visible Gold Mines Inc., whereby TomaGold can acquire a 70-per-cent interest in the Hazeur property for $230,000, including $5,000 payable in cash on signature of the agreement and $225,000 in exploration work, as well as the issuance of 1.55 million common shares of the company over a three-year period. The Hazeur property consists of 61 mineral claims covering an area of 2,863 hectares on the southern border of the Monster Lake property. TomaGold will act as the project operator with support from Visible Gold Mines staff during the earn-in period.

Acquisition of a 100-per-cent interest in the Monster Island property

The company has also completed the acquisition of a 100-per-cent interest in the Monster Island property, belonging to Vanstar Mining Resources Inc., in exchange for a total cash payment of $10,000 and the issuance of 200,000 common shares of the company. Vanstar will also retain a 1.5-per-cent net-smelter-return royalty, which half can be repurchased for $750,000. The Monster Island property consists of 21 mineral claims covering an area of 1,773 hectares on the eastern border of TomaGold's Cookie Monster property.

"The addition of the Hazeur and Monster Island properties to our portfolio simply underscores our strong belief in the gold potential of the Monster Lake area," said David Grondin, president and chief executive officer of TomaGold.
