Jetzt hat der Markt bei Arctic Star offenbar doch auf die Nachricht von der Entdeckung eines dritten Kimberlits reagiert – gute Umsätze um 0,17 CAD im High. Ich dachte schon, die Meldung verpufft. Mal schauen, ob sich das fortsetzt.

Da gebe ich ihm recht: Es ist die hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Arctic Star ein ganzes Kimberlitfeld (Cluster) mit einer Vielzahl von Kimberliten finden könnte. Außerdem stehen die Chancen, dass auch der 3. Kimberlit (wie schon die beiden Wolfes) diamanthaltig ist offenbar sehr gut – Stichwort Makrodiamonds in White Wolf . Was natürlich noch fehlt, sind neue Bohrungen und Assays. Wenn die Ergebnisse gut sind, dann wäre Arctic eine von den Stories, die 10 Jahre brauchen, aber dann über Nacht groß rauskommen – und zwar fundamental – ohne Promo.

The market did not realize what just happened. Arctic Star found a new kimberlite very similar to the Black/White Wolf kimberlites that contain macrodiamonds. Only 230m away ! They now have a very high chance to find a whole kimberlite field of 20-30 kimberlites.
How much money did they spend on this ? Almost nothing as they just analysed a core from a historic drill hole. These historic drill cores have not been analysed so far. They can now drill this new spot and maybe this is already the jackpot.
I don't know any company being so lucky finding new kimberlites.
My investment decision was based on proven facts so far (Black/White Wolf + macrodiamonds found + perfect infrastructure). Now we talk about a blue sky potential for a whole kimberlite field. The more kimberlites they find the higher the chance one is economic. Furthermore the chance of an economic kimberlite is even higher as the perfect infrastructure and easy access allows them to build a mine with very low carat per ton values. Some people talk about 0,3 carat per ton as being economic but this all depends on the quality and price of the diamonds found.
I believe Arctic Star will be a diamond producer in the future. Let's wish I am right !

Nochmal: das muss man sich erst einmal auf der Zunge zergehen lassen, dass in Finnland Diamantengehalte von 0,3 Karat zur Wirtschaftlichkeit genügen würden, während sie im Norden Kanadas viel höher sein müssen. Das ist der Vorteil einer gut ausgebauten Infrastruktur!

Ich schaue mir schon länger Arctic Star mit seinem finnischen Diamantenprojekt an.
Auch wenn ich kein Diamantenexperte bin, finde ich folgende Dinge bemerkenswert:

Mit dem Fund eines weiteren Kimberlits scheint sich die Theorie zu erhärten, dass Arctic auf einem größeren Kimberlitfeld sitzt.
Es leuchtet mir ein: je mehr Kimberlite, desto höher die Chance, dass einer wirtschaftlich ist.
Finnland ist viel leichter zu erschließen als der Norden Kanadas, wo es keine Infrastruktur gibt. Da geht das Geld schon für Helikopterzeit drauf – nicht in Finnland.
Interessant finde ich deshalb die Feststellung, dass in Finnland Diamantengehalte von 0,3 Karat zur Wirtschaftlichkeit genügen würden, während sie im Norden Kanadas viel höher sein müssen.

Arctic Star Discovers New Kimberlite
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - February 6, 2018) - Arctic Star Exploration Corp (TSXV: ADD) (OTCQB: ASDZF) (FSE: 82A1) (WKN: A2DFY5) (the "Company" or "Arctic Star") is pleased to announce the discovery of a new kimberlite on its 100% owned Timantti Diamond Project in Finland. Further investigation of a drill core sample from a previous explorer held in the core archive of the GTK (the Finnish Geological Survey) at Loppi, Finland, has confirmed the kimberlite discovery.
Finnish kimberlite expert Dr Hugh O'Brien of the GTK has undertaken petrographic and mineralogical examinations to confirm the new discovery. The new kimberlite is located approximately 230m west of the diamond bearing Black Wolf Kimberlite. There's no record of this drill core being announced to the public.
In June 2005, previous explorer Karhu Mining Oy, drilled a geophysical magnetic target. Hole D476 intersected a meter of kimberlite in an inclined (-45°) hole located within a zone of extensive alteration and brecciation. Dr O'Brien has conducted a detailed petrographic and mineralogical examination of the core from hole D476 and has confirmed that the kimberlite is "A micaceous Group II kimberlite importantly containing abundant indicator minerals including olivine macrocrysts 5mm in diameter."
Dr O'Brien further stated "This kimberlite is very similar in texture and mineralogy to the rocks that form the diamond-bearing Wolf kimberlites. The existence of this kimberlite close to the Wolf kimberlites strongly indicates that the area is part of a kimberlite field and that the prognosis for additional discoveries in the area is quite high."
Roy Spencer stated "As has been previously expressed by myself and supported now by kimberlite expert Dr Hugh O'Brien, kimberlites typically occur in fields or clusters and this exciting discovery 230 meters away from the Wolves strongly supports the thesis that we are looking at such a field here north of Kuusamo. With only a single intersection we do not yet know what form this kimberlite will take but we suspect that the body has not been investigated any further previously, and are glad to add another kimberlite to the pack."

Bisher ist Arctic Star in den 16 Jahren des Bestehens durch geringe administrative Kosten positiv aufgefallen. Nun sieht man ganz klar, dass sich etwas bewegt. Neue erfahrene und bei anderen Firmen erfolgreiche Board Mitglieder, nun 3 Listings (TSX Venture, OTCQB und Frankfurt), starke Insider Käufe. Gerade bei Diamanten kann man nie sicher sein bevor die Bohrkerne analysiert werden, aber irgendwas scheinen die zu wissen was wir nicht wissen.
Schön dass die Ground geophysics Arbeiten fast fertig sind und es mit dem Bohren losgeht. Dauert also nicht mehr lange bis wir wissen woran wir sind. Daumen drücken.
