Global demand for uranium continues to grow

As Berkeley moves ahead into the development phase demand for the company’s product continues to grow throughout the world. Last week Zhou Rongsheng, CEO of CGN Uranium Resources, said that they are looking to acquire more uranium assets, adding that China’s uranium production is expected to top 30,000 tonnes by 2030.

The news comes following the publication of a report by the WNA which outlined that less than a quarter of Chinese nuclear fuel supplies comes from domestic uranium mining and exploration and plans for new mines have increased significantly since 2000. By international standards, China's ores are low-grade and production has been inefficient and they are therefore ramping up international arrangements to obtain fuel.

Agneta Rising, President of the WNA, said: "Nuclear is very competitive compared to other renewables, because it doesn't need backup systems as other clean sources do to generate power constantly. It is a reliable and low-carbon source for energy already existing today."

The increased demand for nuclear as an alternative fuel source comes at an ideal time for Berkeley Energia. The ultralow cost Salamanca project is one of the only projects in the world with the potential to go into construction at current uranium prices, leaving Berkeley ideally placed to capitalise on this increase in demand for its product.

Vielen Dank für die ganzen Infos. Stimme Dir zu, Berkeley ist in einer sehr spannenden Phase wobei viele Events in der Pipeline sind, so dass nur eine positive News wie z.B. über die Finanzierung ein wahres Kursgewitter auslösen könnte, wenn man nur die extreme Unterbewertung gegenüber den nordamerikanische Explorern betrachtet. Denke aber, dass wir hierfür aber Hilfe aus Nordamerika benötigen.

- Aprilpräsentation für die beiden bereits geplanten Events in diesem Monat

Was erwartet uns vermutlich in den kommenden 6 Wochen?
- News zum aktuellen Bohrprogramm (inzwischen wurden seit 2 Monaten Löcher niedergebracht).
- Update zum aktuellen Stand der Finanzierung des Projektes

Was erwartet uns voraussichtlich in den nächsten 7-10 Wochen?
- Erhalt der noch fehlenden Genehmigungen
- Veröffentlichung der DFS für das Projekt. Ursprünglich Mai 2016, nach dem GR Interview Juni 2016
- Finalisierung der Finanzierung (erste Tranche)
- Baubeginn des Projektes.

Insgesamt eine spannende Phase in der wir uns aktuell befinden.

50 municipalities oppose Salamanca uranium mine project: The municipalities integrated in the Commonwealth of Yeltes, Villavieja, Villares de Yeltes, Moronta, Bogajo, Fuenteliante, Pozos de Hinojo and Yecla de Yeltes, managed the interest of fifty mayors of the western part of the province Thursday (Apr. 14) in their position against the proposal of mining company Berkeley for the extraction and treatment of uranium in the municipalities of Retortillo and Villavieja de Yeltes.

The mayor of the latter town, Jorge Rodríguez, spoke for the Commonwealth to ask the mayors' support in order to urge the Council of Salamanca to take action on behalf of the people and work to prevent the project of Berkeley from continuing, exposing legal reasons that could paralyze the creation of an open pit mine with sky storage of radioactive waste. jetzt wird es interessant bei Berkeley. Ein schneller Bruch der 60 cent Marke wäre perfekt, dann wäre der weg nach oben frei.

bin jetzt auch dabei, habe heute in London gekauft...die Story ist wirklich gut, einigermassen "vergleichbare" US Werte sind mehrere Hundert Millionen Dollar hoch bewertet und Jahre (-zehnte) von der Produktion entfernt...
Bin gespannt, wie sich die Umsätze in den nächsten Tagen und Wochen entwickeln..das Manag. wollte ja auch auf Promotour nach US/Kanada...wenn das keine Story ist...

Volumen an der ASX heute 38970 Stück, davon würde ich nicht zuviel ableiten.
Wäre der Anstieg bei höherem Volumen erfolgt wäre dies etwas anderes.
Werden wir morgen sehen, ob das Ankratzen der 0,50 AUD bestand haben wird.
