NPV Vergleich Berkeley (DFS) vs Nexgen (PEA), 8% discount
53 USD Uranpreis, bky 531 mio usd (280% Potential). nxe 3,8 mio cad (280% Potential)
43 USD Uranpreis, bky 400 mio usd (180% Potential , nxe 2,8 mio cad (180% Potential)

Berkeley Energia Moves To Next Stage In Salamanca Mine Development
[ 24 Jul 2017 13:42 ]
LONDON (Alliance News) - Uranium-focused mining company Berkeley Energia Ltd said on Monday the development of the Salamanca uranium mine in Spain has progressed well in the three months to the end of June.
The company reported that all infrastructure work is on track, with the road deviation programme well advanced and land being cleared to allow for the installation of the processing plant. The primary crusher was delivered to the site on July 12 and the secondary crusher is currently in a warehouse in Madrid.
The front-end engineering and design work for the project has been completed on time and on budget, leading to a small 1% reduction in upfront costs to EUR82.3 million compared to previous estimates. Berkeley also reported that the acquisition of land is nearly complete, with over 600 hectares acquired or leased to date.
The company reported that the uranium market was starting to improve, with production cuts from high-cost operations balancing out the market. Berkeley's average fixed price per pound of contracted and optional volumes stands above USD42 per pound.
This compares favourably with the current spot price of around USD20 per pound, the miner said.
At present, the miner has 2.8 million pounds of concentrate under long-term contracts over the first six years of production, with a further 1.3 million pounds in optional volumes.
Berkeley has started the next stage of its exploration campaign, which will focus on discovering additional deposits with similar characteristics to Zona 7. Two areas have already been selected for a geochemical sampling programme.
"We are pleased with progress during the quarter which included the delivery of the crusher to site, the finalisation of capital expenditure and a significant strengthening of the board and management team. The progress moves us closer to potentially being one of the top ten uranium producers globally, with one of the lowest production costs. We are extremely well positioned to provide our concentrate to the 130 strong reactor fleet in the European Union as well as utilities further abroad," said Managing Director Paul Atherley.
Shares in Berkeley Energia were up 3.4% at 48.22 pence on Monday.
