Zwar nicht ganz top-aktuell, aber vielleicht interessiert`s ja noch wen:
Zusammenfassung: Painewebber senkt EPS 2001 von $4.11 auf $3.44 und EPS 2002 von $5.35 auf $4.60
NEW YORK, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Painewebber said on Wednesday it cut Micron Technology Inc. <MU.N> to neutral from attractive. "We are downgrading Micron to Neutral because we believe that the near-term environment of reduced expectations could lead to further drops in the stock price," said analyst David Wong in a research note.
Wong cut his 2001 earnings per share estimate to $3.44 from $4.11, and his 2002 estimate to $4.60 from $5.35.
The lowered estimates will allow for lower pricing and slightly reduced gross margin, he said.
Wong also said he expected Micron to remain strongly profitable in the current pricing environment.
Micron`s shares fell $1-1/8 to $32-3/8 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Micron Technology Announces First SyncFlash Memory Product Samples
BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2000--Micron Technology, Inc. (NYSE:MU) today announced commercial sample availability of its first SyncFlash(TM) memory product, a 64 Mbit device with 100MHz SDRAM read speeds. SyncFlash memory is a new architecture for future high-speed execute-in-place and embedded applications, specifically targeting next generation communication and consumer devices.
Last year, Micron introduced SyncFlash technology, integrating the benefits of non-volatile storage technology with industry-standard SDRAM architectures. Now, SDRAM and SyncFlash memory may reside on the same bus and execute from a single SDRAM memory controller. This simplifies system busing, eliminating a local bus and the additional pins needed for a separate flash-only memory interface, increasing flash READ performance to SDRAM speeds, and complementing SDRAM in systems where SyncFlash memory is preloaded for execute-in-place applications.
"We are excited about the enthusiasm our customers are showing for SyncFlash memory," said Darrell Rinerson, Micron Technology`s Vice President of Flash Memory Products. "Earlier this year, we started working on alpha samples of SyncFlash devices with customers to integrate system support for this new memory architecture. The response is very positive, culminating in a variety of design wins."
Manufactured on Micron`s advanced process technology, the 64 Mbit SyncFlash device is organized in a 1Meg x 16 x 4 bank configuration. SyncFlash device`s four-bank architecture supports simultaneous read and write operation. The 64Mbit SyncFlash device has 100MHz SDRAM read speed performance, with SDRAM compatible interface allowing it to reside on the main memory bus. Micron`s specifications for SyncFlash memory components adhere to JEDEC standards for packaging and pinout. Micron`s 64 Mbit SyncFlash device is now available in sample quantities in 54-pin TSOP packaging with production volumes expected in the first half of 2001. For more information, or to order samples, contact Micron Technology`s marketing department at (208) 368-3900.
"SyncFlash memory is designed to simplify system designs and reduce costs by reducing device counts," said Bryan Connington, Micron Technology`s Flash Marketing Manager. "SyncFlash memory is a great solution for a wide-range of applications. We anticipate the typical SyncFlash applications to be printers, set-top boxes, PDAs and networking products."
In conjunction with sample availability, Micron is releasing SyncFlash data sheets and application notes. These technical notes along with additional information on SyncFlash memory technology and products may be obtained at www.syncflash.com.
